I've had alot of fun working on this model for two weeks this Orktober, and they are finally finished! learned some new tricks which I'm excited to use in my next works.
I'm going to put them like right ontop of my paint desk to just cheer up the room.
Pale Orks? It's probably because they live in tunnels. There's no sun there, so their skin has faded, or they didn't eat enough peas!
If you want to get this or similar one for yourself -> link in bio.

Finished my first 40k ork, I'm happy with it but still a lot to learn! (Fun fact, the marine head on the ground is a Dark Angel from my other 40k faction)
Warhammer 40k is great because there is a race of belligerent psychic space fungi (several races technically if you want to be pedantic) and they have a character that is basically V from V For Vendetta who is implied to remember things from every time he appears meaning he retains all his skills which makes him capable of fighting giants the size of 3 story houses that wear hollowed out mechs as armour in one on one combat and winning. His origins lie in the aftermath of a war that ended in the death of several gods and an entire empire going to bed for 60 million years. His people were forcefully devolved from brilliant tacticians and generals into small cowardly creatures used either as slaves or as food. People have speculated that he is anything from a daemon born out of a resentment thats been building up for millions of years to a memetic mind virus/infohazard designed to tear empires apart from within. And ontop of all this he’s the 40k version of Santa Claus.
Yesterday, I witnessed one of the wildest moments in Warhammer (so far)
My marines versus my brothers orks
The left side of the field was bloody brutal from the start, but that shokkjump dragsta took the cake with a maneuver straight from Mad Max
My dreadnought, who was already on one wound from duking it out with their deff dread and trukk, blasted the dragsta with his multi melta
My brother rolled a six, which means boom, but using the "Careen!" stratagem he rammed the dragster into my dreadnought, the explosion killing him, one ork boy, and one eradicator from a nearby squad, while also wounding my lieutenant
And then I rolled for the dreadnought
And I also rolled a six
Which means boom
Which killed the lieutenant, another ork boy, and wounded one eradicator and one eliminator
In the end, the match was tied 7:7, but we agreed on a pyrrhic victory for the marines because I pretty much wiped the board of all orks by the end
Still, there is no recovery from such a massive green middle finger, delivered at 160 mph straight through our dreadnought
