As someone who lives in Texas (unfortunately) I find it SO FUNNY when people make keith overwhelmingly southern. Like, cmon yall. Texas history 101, the cowboy era ended a long ass time ago, most of us DONT wear cowboy hats anymore. Why the fuck would keith ride a horse???? Nobody does that unless they own horses??? And horses are incredibly expensive???
Like, I understand cowboy aus, and historical aus, but if Texas, in 2024, isn't like that (the stereotypes are so wild) then why would it be like that in approx 2314?
Very few wear cowboy hats or boots. Very few have horses, and NOBODY rides them to school, ffs. Keith is not a farmhand.
Some texas stereotypes that are true, however...
-yeah we say yall nonstop
-ain't, wouldja, couldn't've, etc.
-confederate flag is less common here, normally you see the "come and take it" or the "don't tread on me"
-if keith ever went to public school, 1/3 of his classmates or more are Latino
-most Texans know moderate amounts of Spanish
-we celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and most ppl think it's Mexican independence day (it's not)
-barbecue.
-chili WITHOUT BEANS YOU HEATHEN
-will fight over food, family, or football
-either you support the Dallas Cowboys or the Houston Texans. Any other team is sacrilege. Once you make this choice, it WILL have effects on your social life.
-football is basically king here lol, none of the other stuff in school gets nearly the funding
-people living in rural areas (like Keith's dad) often own guns, and not pistols either-- rifles and shotguns, usually
-NOBODY SAYS YEEHAW. at least not unironically
-Texans will ironically say yeehaw, rootin-tootin, etc bc we are aware of our history and think it's wack
-were not all racist, but everyone knows at least one person who is (usually an older family member)
-mind your gotdamn manners at the table. Get those elbows away from your food
-sir and ma'am for strangers
-open doors for old people. You don't have to be a man to do this.
-please and thank you is SO important, people will assume things about you otherwise
-if you don't have a church, you miss out on a lot of community (coming from a non-religious person)
-most people here are Baptist, on that note (Hispanic people contribute to the Catholic population, but still, Baptist is #1)
-internet service is awful unless you're in a city
-we WILL close all schools for 2 inches of snow/ice
-we laugh at hurricanes, and then do our best to help our Houston neighbors
-but everybody hates Houston and Dallas, unless you live there
-most people are okay with Austin, San Antonio, etc
-EL PASO IS TINY, AND HALF OF IT IS IN MEXICO (and is called Ciudad Juárez there)
-beer is god. And God has no problem with drinking. (According to beliefs here)
-gambling is illegal here, but we love it, so states like Oklahoma have built casinos RIGHT ON THE STATE BORDER so that we can drive a bit and gamble as we please
-everybody's dad drives a truck. Otherwise people assume he's got a small pp

Announcer: ...and our four contestants are ready. They will have 1 hour to put together their dishes. Before we get started, let's go to the floor and put our contestants in the hotseat.
Interviewer: First up, hailing from the US's very own NYC. Perseus ssss Jackson! How are you feeling, Percy?
Percy: I'm doing alright, thanks.
Interviewer: What do you have planned for the judges today?
Percy: I'm doing seafood.
Announcer: Seafood. No surprises from the son of Poseidon. Let's go now to Leo Valdez.
Interviewer: Hailing from the southern metropolis of Houston, Texas. It's the senior counselor of the Hephaestus cabin at Camp Half-Blood. Give it up for Leo Valdez!
Leo: WASSUP everybody!?
Interviewer: You seem excited.
Leo: Nah, that's just how I roll. I'd like to take a moment to say - let's everybody do the Team Leo!
Interviewer: What you have planned for us Leo?
Leo: Hispanic food! I do it best...
Interviewer: Confident, ain't he?
Announcer: That's Leo Valdez, folks. Now we go to our third contestant.
Interviewer: Let's all put our hands together for Athena's own daughter, Annabeth Chase. How're you feeling Annabeth?
Annabeth: I'm feeling great.
Interviewer: Psyched to win it?
Annabeth: You know it!
Interviewer: What are you cooking up for us today?
Annabeth: I'm doing desserts.
Announcer: Desserts! A bold choice from the daughter of Athena. Time will tell if Annabeth's desserts blow the judges away and send her home with the grand prize. Now let's go to our last contestant.
Interviewer: Our last contestant is His Grace, the Ambassador of Hades. The Ghost King himself. Nico di Angelo! How are you doing Nico?
Nico: Okay, I guess...
Interviewer: What are you cooking up for us?
Nico: I'm doing dishes with black ingredients.
Announcer: Another bold choice from this son of Hades. I think it is safe to say that our judges can look forward to a diverse spread of food at the end of the night. Now, let's get it started. One hour on the clock! Contestants... GO!
Percy
-starts placing large lettuce leaves on plates
-chops up onions
-dices potatoes
-cuts deboned fish into thin slices
-squeezes mayo into a bowl
-finely chops up two whole dill pickles
-measures out 1/4 cup of lemon juice
Announcer: I think it seems obvious that the son of Poseidon is preparing some kind of fish dish and tartar sauce, but what are the diced potatoes and onions for? It's anyone's guess, folks.
Leo
-chops up two tomatoes and two bell peppers
-opens two cans of refried beans
-starts rolling out corn flour flat
-starts ground pork to frying on low heat
-makes a four-cheese blend
Announcer: Leo appears to have two dishes underway already. One is probably tacos, but the corn flour is an interesting choice. What's he doing now?
Interviewer: Can you tell us what you're planning with the corn flour?
Leo: Sure. I'm making pupusas.
Announcer: ...and it is! Pupusas! A rather unexpected pleasure for our judges.
Annabeth
-whips up chocolate pudding mix
-crushes up graham crackers
-starts whipping cream
-breaks 3 eggs into a bowl
-starts adding two tablespoons of peanut butter,
Announcer: It looks like the daughter of Athena might be making peanut butter cookies. Clearly the pudding and the graham crackers are intended for something else. What could the whipped cream be for?
Nico
-stirs together blackberries, amaretto, and corn starch in a bowl
-sets premade pie crust on the counter
-starts black beans on low in a food processer
-starts melting cheese
-slices up two egg plants
-pours rice into rice cooker
Announcer: The son of Hades is fast on his feet. Watch him go folks! He already has what appears to be at least three dishes in the works. It's a little early to call, but the competition starts with Nico clearly in the lead.
(in audience) Will: Go Nico! Yeah!

I've been Shinpaching a lot lately, just trying to get used to the other characters but it has been quite the task. I discovered it's not that easy to Shinpachi, to Zura, to Takasugi and to Kagura sometimes; but I can Gintoki, Zenzou and Tatsuma anytime. So no, for me, Shinpachi is not the easiest, but I have hair bias.

9/10/2024 Not exactly the next day, but I am going to make my post like it is. It is rather difficult typing when you are driving between 50- 80 mph on the way through NWI and Michican. We started the day by packing for a week in Toronto. We started planning our trip 2 or 3 (maybe 4) months ago and our first travel day has finally arrived.
We started off when my buddy arrived to paint my downstairs ceiling. He dove into starting his work while we continued packing for our trip. We started our drive around noon, while my friend continued painting. I94 towards Michigan was actually a rather nice drive without major trucks and traffic. We took a break in battle creek and stopped to eat at Los Aztecas Mexican Bar & Grill. This place stood out from most of the places we go to, and is worthy of a good yelp review (even though I don't do those). We both had Burritos - different types, but their food had better flavor than most of the places we go. That, and the 34oz Dos Equis was very tasty in a frosty mug.
Ended up pulling into the Doubletree in Port Huron around 6pm local time. Time changes always mess with me. Very nice room with a king bed, but if we wanted to go to the casino across the river, we would have to cross the border into Canada. We decided to just wait to cross the border the next day. The casino looked kinda rinky-dink anyway.
We finished the evening eating at the attached restaurant Freighters after wandering through the biggest selection hotel gift shop I have ever seen. I didn't get you anything. After the girl read back the order for a cheesburger incorrectly, then bringing the food out without tomato like was asked for. We finished the meal and headed back to the room. I personally never change an order on a menu with subscription for the exact reason that I don't want to be disappointed with the meal. That girl read back a simple tomato, onion mustard mayo order wrong, she was corrected, and she still brought out the burger without tomato and mayo. Time for our first bad Yelp review.

My Halloween Potion-ma-jig
INGREDIENTS:
Ghost water
Powdered herbs and spices
Essence of putting Strong Mad's hand in water while he's asleep
UTENSIL: Jurassic Park 3 collector's spoon
MAGIC WORDS: Loquentia, imbruglia, precipitous, Saraleecheesecakia, denouement
HOW TO GET IT:
HOMESTAR RUNNER: All right! These spooky woods gotta be chock full of spooky ingredients. Let's see, the first one is {pulls out the paper} "Something Water." Hmmmmmmmm…
COACH Z: {from a distance} Really?
{cut to Coach Z and Pom Pom}
COACH Z: Then how come they'll be all nice to ya and act like they like ya to your face?
POM POM: {bubbles}
COACH Z: Guess I have a lot to learn about mailmen.
{Homestar walks up}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Hey, what are you guys doin' out here? Did you ruin somebody's magic potion too?
COACH Z: Uh… nope. Unless Coach Z's life is a magic potion.
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Cool, cool, depressing, cool. So, um… Do either of you have any cash on you? {imitating a shady drifter} I'm trying to get a me a sandwich or somethin'. Uh, my car broke down and I'm out of gas.
COACH Z: Oh, sorry, man. All I gots is this bottle of, uh, ghost water?
HOMESTAR RUNNER: That's perfect! I was planning on blowin' that money on ghost water anyways. Well, I gotta keep searchin'. {starts to walk offscreen to the right} Too bad I probably won't run into anybody else mysteriously hanging out in the woods.
{Cut to The King of Town and The Poopsmith. The King of Town is holding a bucket of fried chicken. Holes are dug all over the place. Homestar walks up.}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Oh! Whaddaya know! How ya diggin'?
THE KING OF TOWN: Oh! We're certainly not trying to unearth the ham sandwich that I buried here when I was nine.
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Good. 'Cause I found that thing like two months ago. It wasn't that good. Too much mayo.
THE KING OF TOWN: Too much mayo?! I love too much mayo!
HOMESTAR RUNNER: I say, is that a powdered wig you're wearing, your Kentucky Fried-ness? 'Cause I'm in the market for some powdery dealings!
THE KING OF TOWN: {pulls out a pouch} Well, I've got my secret blend of eleven herbs and spices. But, of course, you can't have that.
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Aw, that's too bad. I guess I'll just go on home and— {starts popping in and out of the holes, snatching the powder while he hops around} Pyong-pyong-pyong-pyong-pyong! {appears from one of the holes, holding the powder} So long, suckers!
{Homestar drops back into the hole.}
THE KING OF TOWN: Ha! That blend was just a decoy! It only has ten herbs and spices!
{Strong Bad, Strong Mad, and The Cheat are standing around a cliff, with broken TVs littering the area. Strong Bad's face is obscured by the cabinet doors on his costume. Strong Mad grunts and tosses a broken TV. Homestar walks up.}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Whoa. This is a cool new background!
{The TV Strong Mad tossed falls in the background.}
STRONG BAD: {opening his costume's doors} Yeah! We were just burying our problems here in the spooky woods when we found this creepy cliff! It's perfect for the chucking off of busted old TVs.
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Essence of busted old TVs? 'Cuz I got a serious jones!
STRONG BAD: Uh, I think these TVs lost their essence in the seventies. What are you doing here, anyways?
HOMESTAR RUNNER: I'm trying to ruin Marzipan's Halloween Potion. Got any leads?
STRONG BAD: That's a worthy cause if ever there was one! How about this essence of putting Strong Mad's hand in warm water while he's asleep?
STRONG MAD: MY SECRET SHAME!
{The Cheat tosses a bottle off the cliff. Homestar jumps after it.}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Thanks a lot you guuuuuuuuuys!
STRONG BAD: Meka-leka-hi-meka-The Cheat throw a TV on 'im…
{The Cheat drops a TV over the cliff.}
STRONG BAD: …ho.
{The doors on Strong Bad's costume close once more. Cut to Bubs, standing by a canister labeled "BUBS' MO'BILE CAN o' STIRRING UTENSILS". ("Bile" is in green.) Homestar bounces once on the ground and then lands on his feet next to Bubs. The TV crashes behind Homestar at the same spot where he had bounced off, narrowly missing him.}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Hey, Bubs! Fancy runnin' into you in the middle of the spooky woods sellin' stirring utensils.
BUBS: It's a niche market.
HOMESTAR RUNNER: So, what kind of concoctions might one stir with your wares?
BUBS: Well, a little eye of newt, some toe of frog. Baby, you got a witches' brew goin'.
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Hey, that's my line! So, how do I score one of those jobbies?
BUBS: Oh, they're free. But you gotta earn 'em!
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Um, that doesn't sound free at all.
BUBS: Well you just gotta earn 'em.
HOMESTAR RUNNER: How should I do that? {thinks, then dances} A little to the left, come on, come on, back to the right, shake it around. {he repeats it over Bubs's next line}
BUBS: Oh, yeah! Stick and move, stick and move! You're pretty good, shorty. {pulls a red spoon with a T-Rex head from his canister} That's worth at least a Jurassic Park III collector's spoon.
HOMESTAR RUNNER: {walking off} Thanks, Great American Bubs!
{Cut to a closeup of Homestar}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Now to find Strong Sad. Anything that guy says will make great magic words!
{Cut to Strong Sad, half-buried and asleep. Homestar walks up.}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Hey, Strong Sad. Nice fire hydrant costume!
STRONG SAD: Uh. Mineral water… {wakes up and looks at Homestar} What?
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Taco-Man came by. We played a little foosball, played a little foosball. So, what are some of your favorite words?
STRONG SAD: In no particular order: Loquentia… Imbruglia… Precipitous… Saralee…cheesecake… Denouement…
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Those are great! Thanks for the words, half-man! {walks off}
STRONG SAD: Go forward! Move ahead. Try to detect it! It's not too late.
{Cut to Homestar's house, where Homestar and Marzipan are standing near a bubbling cauldron. The following dialogue changes based on the viewer's past choices.}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: All right, so here's what I came up with: a bottle of ghost water, {he throws the bottle into the cauldron} a secret blend of eleven herbs and spices, {throws the powder into the cauldron} and essence of putting Strong Mad's hand in warm water while he's asleep. {throws the essence into the cauldron} And give a little stir with this Jurassic Park III collector's spoon. And say these magic words. {He hands an index card to Marzipan.}
MARZIPAN: "Loquentia, imbruglia, precipitous, Saraleecheesecakia, denouement!"
{The cauldron makes a "poof" sound and smoke emerges. Marzipan dips a cup into it.}
MARZIPAN: Here, Homestar. {hands the cup to Homestar and smiles} Have some Melonade!
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Don't mind if I do! {He drinks the contents of the cup, and transforms into The Goblin.}
MARZIPAN: Ooh, he's so cute! Do it, do it, do it!
{The Goblin dances as his organ chord plays.}
MARZIPAN: …annd scene!

Today is shopping day! Yes I know we have done quite a bit of shopping already, but this is “official” shopping day!! We start off with our usual breakfast. I eat extra because usually on shopping day, lunch is “optional”. LOL. We start our day by walking down Brompton Road to Harrods. Yeah we could take the tube, but it’s not a bad walk and you never know what you’ll come across along the way as the shops have even changed since Sherri and I were here last year. we ogle at the pastry’s in some of the shop windows and try to stay warm as it is a cool morning but Sherri put hand warmers in our jacket pockets so that helped. We are a little early and the store has not opened yet, so we find a patch of sun and wait across the street until 10:00. Once the doors are opened, we head in. We browse around the food hall, looking at all the hand made chocolates, salads, sushi and an array of food, more food than you can possibly imagine. Fresh veg, meats and if I was a wealthy person, this would be your dream food hall! But, this is Harrods, so let’s get real LOL. After looking at a lot of things we cannot afford, we head to the Harrods shop. This is the area of the store where all of the “Harrods” products are. I am torn as to whether to buy all of the things I want here, or wait and get them at the airport tax free. I pick up a Christmas ornament which is a phone box and a little credit card wallet as I have a cheap one and use it a lot as I have gotten to where I don’t like to carry my purse everywhere. I found a beautiful silk scarf that had coronation things on it, but £85.00 is just too much for a scarf! I decide not to buy a mug here as I know that they have a good selection at the airport. After leaving Harrods, we head back to the hotel to drop off our things and then we head over to Fortum and Mason as we are scheduled to have Afternoon Tea here at 1:00. We get on the tube and head over to Green Park to head to Regent Street. We are a little early, so we walk down to Hatchard’s, our favorite book store and the oldest book store in the UK. I always buy a book that is published by the Royal , but the only one they have is on Prince Phillip, which I would love to have, but there is only one copy and the dust jacket is rather beat up. So I opt for a book on King Charles. We head over to Fortum and Mason googling over the window dressings as they are all so cool and related to the coronation. We browse around a little in the tea department as we still have a view minutes before our reservation. Then we get on the lift and head up to the 5th floor to the restaurant. There are a lot of people having tea here today but we are seated directly to our table. When you have tea here, you only need to choose the type of tea you want as everything else is brought for everyone, sandwiches, scones and desserts. The sandwiches are beef with a slaw, smoked salmon, eggs and mayo and of course cucumber. This is really something anyone who visits the UK must do as Afternoon Tea is just so quintessentially British!! After we have tea, we head down a few floors and browse the china department which had some beautiful (and expensive) teapots, luxury picnic hampers and a number of other kitchen items. We left Fortum and Mason and went next door to a Cath Kidston store that is going out of business. As much as I am dying to spend some money, I find nothing. We decide to walk over to Piccadilly Circus as it’s just not a visit to London without doing that. We get there and take a bunch of pictures and go to the Hard Rock store to see if there is anything we can’t live without. Sherri and Cindy bought some shirts, but I decided against it since I have so many in my drawer that I can’t fit in right now. We leave this area of the city and head back to the hotel. We decide to just rest for a little while and get our luggage sorted for the next day. As I am getting things together, Sherri is looking at her phone and receives an email from British Airways, our flight has been cancelled!!

Cafe Alegria’s Taco Tuesdays Offers Street Tacos and Cocktails All Night Long
It’s Taco Tuesday once again at Café Alegria and I’m here to party the night away with these delectable street tacos and overflowing cocktails at this amazing streetside venue. Who cares if it’s not even the middle of the week yet? It definitely feels like a Friday whenever Cafe Alegria rolls out their live comal station for everyone to see and enjoy.
Café Alegria is a hip hangout spot at the Forbestown BGC area serving contemporary Latin American cuisine. They serve breakfast and lunch specialties all throughout the week, but for tonight I’m here with my friends for a special weekly event that promises to be full of great street food and bubbly beverages with a refreshing party vibe.
Taco Tuesday at Café Alegria happens every Tuesday afternoon and offers their signature street tacos for only P129 per piece. That’s an amazing promotion that is sure to bring everybody here, especially with their other cocktail and bevarage promos.
You can enjoy these tacos in the company of your friends or workmates while enjoying the fabulous beats put together by their resident DJs. For that evening, DJ Francie Gee took care of the beats with her playlist.
Café Alegia has a casual and refreshing ambiance with its colorful murals and Mexican decors and trinkets. You can choose to have your tacos at the al fresco area outside or here inside their air-conditioned dining space.
You can order some refreshing cocktails while waiting for your tacos like the Sangria (P350). Their Happy Hour happens daily from 4:00pm to 8:00pm so you can get Buy 1 Take 1 on their classic and signature cocktails.
During Taco Tuesdays, Café Alegria also offers 3 Shots of Jose Cuervo for only P500 so you can dare your friends to have as many shots as they can. You can also get 50% off on your second bottle of Jose Cuervo.
For appetizers, we had these delicious fluffy Brazilian bread rolls called Pao de Quiejo that you can dip in their special guava sauce. There’s also honey and butter dips if you prefer.
Of course, the main highlight of the evening were the street tacos that were all cooked and prepared right there in front of all the guests and passers-by to see.
Chef Charles Montanñez brings out the live comal station for Taco Tuesdays and this is where the action happens. I could hear the oven firing away and could smell the Porchetta and other items cooking because we were seated just in front of the station. I couldn’t wait any longer so I just had to have my tacos right now!
I started with their Pork Carnitas with its slow cooked pork, pickled onions, and salsa XO. All their tacos come with homemade corn tortilla tacos and are served with salsa roja and salsa verde.
Another item I tried was the Baja Fish Fry which comes with chipotle mayo and pineapple salsa. This is a lighter taco for those who prefer seafood.
The Beef Birria was one of the favorites that evening. Birria is a Maxican beef stew so the meat is very tender and falls apart similar to pulled pork. This taco comes with Jalisco beef stew, cheese, and beef consomme.
Another option for the health-conscious is the Vegetarian Birria with its pulled king oyster mushroom, cheese, and Mexican mushroom consomme.
Other items you can try include the Beef Guisado which has slow cooked beef, cilantro, and crispy onions. There’s also the Chicken Barbacoa with its Thai grilled chicken, pickled apple, cucumber and carrot plus salsa bruja.
There are several sauces to choose from and you can request any of these to go with your tacos. It’s impossible to have just one taco, so order an many pieces as you like since they are only P129 each. We ended our Taco Tuesday with their Churros (P230) that come with dulce de leche dip.
We would like to thank Chef Charles Montañez for all the wonderful tacos that evening and our good friend Chinkee Koppe for inviting us and hosting this fabulous event at Café Alegria. Taco Tuesday happens every Tuesday afternoon until late in the evening so make sure to take advantage of this weekly promotion.

He responded: “FYI, we have these bags for fruits and veggies at the grocery store and they are awesome and you don't need to use the plastic bags OR have to put your stuff straight in the basket”

24:08 - Jiggy “King of the Faeries” from Translate
New video: “Fiery Arrow”
27:21 - STORY OF THE CAT CAME BACK… THE CAT’S PERSPECTIVE
I learned how to write a drinking song thanks to “The Cat Came Back… The Cat’s POV”.
First, let me point out, a drinking song isn’t about alcohol. It’s a song with a fun, easy-to-sing chorus. Sometimes it’s interactive.
“Wild Rover” has claps in the chorus. “Rattlin’ Bog” and “The Unicorn Song” have a whole bunch of motions that act out the lyrics. “Seven Drunken Nights” and “Big Strong Man” have phrases that the audience shouts back at the singer. These were the songs I was thinking of when I wrote the cat’s perspective of a famous folk song.
I never liked “The Cat Came Back.” It was cruel and I love cats. So I decided to rewrite the song using the melody of “The Moonshiner”. But I wanted to make it a call-and-response song. So I added “Ka-Boom”, “Gurgle” and more to the end of the verses. But when I finally decided to play it live, I had NO idea how to get the audience to interact with the song.
Eventually, I taught the audience the 5 different responses (five, really? What was I thinking?). I introduce each exclamation before the verse. But it’s still difficult to get them involved.
If you want to write a drinking song, keep it simple. One call and response throughout is best. Teach it at the beginning of the song. “Slainte Mhaith” is a great drinking song. It has an easy-to-sing chorus. But it also has a super easy call-and-response.
“When I sing slainte mhaith, you shout it back to me. Slainte mhaith! [Slainte mhaith]”.
Sometimes you learn to do something the easy way. With this song, I learned what not to do. Ah well. Live and learn.
Here’s the lyrics to “The Cat Came Back… The Cat’s Perspective”:
I was a crazy cat for many a year, My years are advancing. Now I sleep in my chair. But old Mr. Johnson still wants me to play If I don’t get active, he’ll send me away.
I’m a yellow tabby, kinda flabby. And I’m coming home. And if you don’t like me, then leave me alone! I’ll eat when I’m hungry. I’ll sleep when I’m tired. And if you try to wake me, you’ll wish you had died.
His neighbor ambushed me with shotgun and dynamite. My cat senses warned me. So I put up a fight. I clawed at his cigarette. It fell to the floor. It lit the dynamite as I ran out the door. KA-BOOM!
He gave me to a boy with a dollar and a note To drown me in the river when we were afloat. I saw the rope come towards me and let out a yowl. The boat tipped on over. The poor boy was drowned. GURGLE!
He gave me to a man going up in a balloon. I clung to his head. I am no buffoon. The man tried to free me, but then lost control. I stole his parachute as he crashed ‘gainst a knoll. KER-SPLAT!
He took me to the mill where the meat was ground. He left off the lights, so I wouldn’t look around. But I saw that food processor come closer to me, I jumped to the floor. He tripped bloodily. CRUNCH!
Mr. Johnson, Mr. Johnson, I know you hate me, But I have nine lives and you haven’t even three. Blessed are the cat lovers. Blessed are all kitties So love me or leave me alone for to sleep. PURR

52:01 - INVESTING IN A GREEN ST PATRICK’S DAY
It’s fascinating how creative people are when it comes to finding innovative new ways to combat climate change. One of the more creative is through banking.
The fossil fuel industry is funded by investors. What happens if investors refuse to invest in them because they don’t want to support the fossil fuel industry? We will see greener energy.
There’s a campaign in the U.K. asking people to green their investments. Thinking about that I just migrated to a new Mutual Fund so that my money no longer supports Fossil Fuels.
Yeah. My small mutual fund will not make a huge difference. But imagine if just you and I made this change and we had the exact same amount in our pension?
What if 10 other people on my mailing list did the same? Or 30? Multiply your pension times 30 and we start to make a real impact.
That’s really what it takes. It takes each of us being aware and making small changes to force banks to stop investing in fossil fuels and start investing in the health of our planet.

Dunkin’ Donuts Eggs Benedict Review
Tumblr media
Dunkin’ Donuts is consistently ranked one of the top coffee shops around, and with over 11,000 restaurants in more than 30 countries. In early 2014, during a time when expanding fast-food breakfast options was all the rage, Dunkin’ Donuts found a new way to offer something different. The chain’s Eggs Benedict was introduced right around when Taco Bell announced it would soon serve breakfast items, including a waffle taco and a breakfast wrap. And McDonald’s extended its breakfast hours to 11 am. Dunkin’s new breakfast item was only available for a limited time, but in case it comes back, you’ll know what to expect after reading our Dunkin Donuts Eggs Benedict review.
History and Inspiration
Dunkin’ Donuts stays on top of its game, offering new, exciting menu items while also providing consistency in service and quality. The Eggs Benedict Breakfast Sandwich was available all day at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide for a limited time, so what was the idea behind it? For starters, the chain wasn’t trying to serve its customers authentic Hollandaise sauce, but instead, to create a Hollandaise-flavored sauce with a consistency closer to cream cheese so that it could be spread quickly onto an English muffin. The traditional sauce may have been too complicated for employees to perfect, so the cream cheese consistency was meant to make the job easier and faster. It was confusing if one wasn’t familiar with Hollandaise sauce!
Tumblr media
Dunkin’ Donuts Eggs Benedict Review
The Eggs Benedict Breakfast Sandwich was an interesting spin on a traditional sit-down breakfast and brunch classic- except it was served on-the-go. It featured an egg, Black Forest ham, and creamy Hollandaise flavored spread on an oven-toasted English Muffin.
Tumblr media
Photo by Dunkin’ Donuts 1.      Taste and Texture At first glance, the Eggs Benedict looks like a yummy breakfast sandwich that you’d find at McDonald’s or Burger King. But the taste is somewhat disappointing. The Hollandaise-flavored sauce tastes more like mayonnaise with a hint of lemon, and I’m not a fan of tons of mayo on my sandwiches. The egg was decent. Instead of an egg patty, the sandwich included a real egg with actual yolk and egg whites. The black forest ham is lost- it was thin, and the sauce overpowered the flavors. The English muffin could have been more fresh, but it was a bit hard. It didn’t remind me of any Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had, but it resembled more of an egg and ham sandwich with mayo sauce. 2. Are they healthy? You may have heard that Dunkin Donuts’ eggs are actually egg whites made with 12 ingredients. Yikes. Luckily, this egg looked natural, not processed, so that’s a plus. The egg and ham offer a decent amount of protein. It’s high in cholesterol and carbs, though, placing it down at the bottom of the list of healthy breakfast choices. You would be much better off ordering a different sandwich from the menu. 3. Are they Worth it? Everything is worth a try at least once, right? I was mostly curious about how Dunkin’ created its Hollandaise sauce, and I expected a fast-food version of a gourmet breakfast. How that was supposed to look and taste, I’m not sure- but this wasn’t quite it. For something with that much sauce on it, I think there should have been more ingredients packed inside, and even then, I would have scraped some of the sauce off. I’d pass on ordering this again if it were ever an option.
Tumblr media
Final Verdict The Hollandaise sauce is really just a Hollandaise-flavored spread, similar to cream cheese. It’s not the traditional sauce, and it’s not the “gourmet” breakfast I expected. I definitely prefer Dunkin’s other breakfast sandwiches.

Dunkin’ Donuts Eggs Benedict Pricing
The Eggs benedict was offered for around $3.59 but varied across different locations. This is the same price as the Classic Egg & Cheese with (Ham, Bacon, or Sausage), and the Turkey Sausage Sandwich. While you won’t find the Eggs benedict on the current menu, you’ll find many other options on the Anytime Breakfast menu. What did you think about our Dunkin’ Donuts Eggs Benedict review? Were you able to taste the Eggs Benedict Sandwich while it was available at Dunkin’ Donuts? How did you like the Hollandaise sauce? How would you compare it to traditional Hollandaise sauce? Coffee Vs. Tea Smackdown! Which Beverage Will Claim The World Title For Healthiest Drink?
— By Anahad O’Connor, Aaron Steckelberg and Garland Potts | October 4, 2022
Do you start your mornings with a potent dose of caffeine from a freshly brewed cup of Joe? Or do you prefer a slightly less caffeinated nudge from a warm and gentle cup of tea?
Whatever your preference, scientists have found that regularly drinking coffee or tea can provide a variety of health benefits. But how do coffee and tea compare in a head-to-head matchup? We took a look at the research, and here’s what we found.
But first, pick your favorite hot beverage.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ROUND 1: A Source of Fiber
Did you know that your morning coffee includes a dose of fiber? One study found that on average, coffee has between 1.1 and 1.8 grams of fiber per cup, depending on whether it’s filtered, espresso or instant.
Tumblr media
Minimum daily recommendation of fiber 25 grams
That might not sound like much. But it’s more fiber than you’ll find in orange juice, which has about a half gram of fiber per cup. You’ll still need to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to get the recommended 25 grams of daily fiber, but two or three cups of coffee a day can help you get there. A cup of tea on the other hand typically will not help you meet your daily fiber requirements — unless of course you decide to munch on the tea leaves. — Score One For Coffee.
Round 2: Mental Health
Need to get some work done? Studying for a big exam? The caffeine in both coffee and tea will help you concentrate. Studies show that caffeine can improve your attention span, vigilance, alertness and reaction time. But too much caffeine can lead to jitteriness and over-arousal, which can end up hurting your performance. The amount of caffeine in coffee and tea can vary widely depending on a lot of factors. But according to the Mayo Clinic, an 8-ounce cup of brewed coffee contains around 100 milligrams of caffeine. (Espresso and instant coffee have less.) By comparison, an 8-ounce cup of black tea has around 50 milligrams of caffeine.
Tumblr media
So, which is better, coffee or tea? One study asked people to drink four cups of coffee or tea throughout the day. Both beverages had similar effects on alertness and cognitive performance. But the tea had one big advantage over coffee: It had enough caffeine to aid performance, but not so much that it disrupted sleep. — Score One For Tea!
Round 3: A Boon To The Gut Microbiome
Coffee and tea are good sources of polyphenols — plant compounds that are thought to confer many health benefits. Studies suggest that polyphenols can lower your risk of developing chronic diseases, and they are “rocket fuel” for beneficial bacteria that make up your gut microbiome, the communities of trillions of microbes that live inside our guts, said Tim Spector, a professor at King’s College London. Coffee has significantly more polyphenols than green tea, and green tea has more polyphenols than black tea.
Tumblr media
Spector and his colleagues can tell whether someone is a coffee drinker just by analyzing their poop. “There are specific microbes that seem to grow pretty well in people who drink a lot of coffee,” he said. They haven’t found a similar effect in tea drinkers. — This Round Goes to Coffee.
Round 4: Lower Risk For Heart Disease
According to large population studies, coffee and tea both appear to be good for your heart, lowering risk for heart disease and stroke.
Tumblr media
But these studies aren’t conclusive — it may be that coffee and tea drinkers have a lot of other heart-healthy habits, like exercising more or eating healthier diets. But it appears the antioxidants and polyphenols in coffee and tea have a protective effect on heart health. Clinical trials show that regularly consuming tea, especially green tea, may slightly improve blood pressure and cholesterol. Drinking decaffeinated coffee — about two to four cups a day — has also been linked to reductions in heart disease. This suggests that any cardiovascular benefits from drinking coffee and tea probably stem from compounds other than caffeine. There are more studies linking coffee to heart health than there are for tea. But you can’t go wrong either way. — It Looks Like This Round is a Draw.
Round 5: Lower Cancer Risk
Many studies over the years have found that coffee drinkers have lower rates of cancer, including a meta-analysis of 59 studies across 40 cohorts that showed regular coffee drinkers had a 13 percent lower risk of developing cancer compared to seldom or never drinkers. Regular coffee drinking may offer some protection against colorectal, prostate, liver, endometrial, oral and breast cancers.
Tumblr media
The data aren’t conclusive, but the American Cancer Society says coffee contains hundreds of biologically active compounds, including some that have been shown to reduce inflammation, prevent damage to cells, and regulate genes involved in DNA repair. “Whether it’s cancer, obesity or heart disease, inflammation is the enemy, and one way you can dampen inflammation is by drinking coffee,” said Sanjiv Chopra, a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and the author of “Coffee! The Magical Elixir.”
So far, studies haven’t found a link between tea consumption and cancer prevention. One meta-analysis of 113 studies found “little evidence to support the hypothesis that tea drinking is associated with cancer risk.” In this round, at least from the studies so far — Coffee is the Clear Favorite.
Round 6: Type 2 Diabetes
A cup of coffee can produce a short-term spike in blood sugar levels due to the caffeine it contains. Yet large studies show that people who routinely drink coffee are less likely to develop Type 2 diabetes. Marilyn C. Cornelis, an associate professor of preventive medicine at Northwestern University and an expert on coffee, tea and caffeine metabolism, says this could be due to coffee’s large concentration of chlorogenic acid, a polyphenol that’s been shown in some studies to improve insulin sensitivity and blood sugar control.
A meta-analysis of research that included more than 1 million people found that those who drank up to four cups of coffee daily had a 25 percent lower risk of developing diabetes compared to people who drank little or no coffee. People who drank up to four cups of decaf a day had a 20 percent lower risk. “Coffee is highly beneficial for reducing the risk of diabetes,” said Cornelis.
Tumblr media
While tea does not contain chlorogenic acid, it does have other plant compounds that are thought to be beneficial for blood sugar control. But studies looking at the relationship between tea consumption and diabetes risk have produced conflicting findings. Some suggest that having four or more cups of green, black or oolong tea daily can reduce diabetes risk. A meta-analysis of randomized trials found that green tea could reduce blood sugar levels. But other studies have found no clear link between tea and diabetes risk. Ultimately experts say the evidence that coffee may be at least somewhat protective against diabetes is stronger than it is for tea. — Another Win For Coffee!
Round 7: Stress Levels
If you want a smooth and gentle beverage that might even melt some stress away, then look no further than tea — or as the famous author P.L. Travers called it, “balm for the soul.” Studies have found that when people are stressed, drinking green or black tea can help them feel more relaxed and lower their levels of cortisol, the stress hormone. Studies suggest that this is in part due to L-theanine, a compound found in tea — particularly green and black teas — that seems to promote relaxation. “L-theanine has kind of a calming effect,” Cornelis at Northwestern said. “It’s sometimes even included in melatonin supplements to help with sleep.”
Compared to tea, coffee contains much higher levels of caffeine, and caffeine is known to stimulate cortisol levels and elevate your mood. But as anyone who has ever had one too many energy drinks or cups of coffee can attest, caffeine can also cause jitteriness, anxiety and insomnia when consumed in excess.
Long story short, if it’s relaxation you’re after, then a cup of tea is your safest bet. — Another Round Goes to Tea.
Round 8: Longevity
Coffee and tea lovers, rejoice! Coffee and tea drinkers tend to live longer than people who don’t drink either beverage.
For tea drinkers, both green and black tea are associated with greater longevity. In one recent study, scientists followed a half million people over a 14-year period and found that people who drank at least two cups of tea daily had a 9 to 13 percent lower risk of dying during the study period compared to non-tea drinkers. The study was carried out in the United Kingdom, where most of the tea drinkers consumed black tea. But large studies of green tea drinkers have reached similar findings.
Black tea and especially green tea are rich in polyphenols and other beneficial compounds, “and these compounds could potentially reduce stress and inflammation in the body,” said Maki Inoue-Choi, a staff scientist at the National Institutes of Health and lead author of the recent tea study. More research is needed to understand the potential mechanisms involved.
As for coffee, a July study followed almost 172,000 people and found that those who drank 2.5 to 4.5 cups of coffee per day had a 30 percent lower likelihood of dying during the roughly seven years of the study compared to people who didn’t drink coffee. Even those who drank their coffee with a teaspoon of sugar seemed to gain a benefit.
These studies come with an important limitation: They are observational, meaning they can’t prove causation. But tea and coffee provide so many health benefits that it’s reasonable to conclude that they could lower your odds of an early death, say experts. Chopra at Harvard Medical School pointed out that at least five large studies in leading medical journals have now shown that coffee drinkers have lower mortality rates. “These studies keep coming and coming,” he said. — This Round is a Draw.
And the Winner is…………
Tumblr media
In this battle over health benefits, coffee comes out on top. Coffee drinkers can raise a mug to fiber, microbiome health and lowering risk for cancer and diabetes. But tea drinkers, do not despair. Tea is undoubtedly good for your blood pressure, cholesterol, stress levels, mental health and productivity. And both drinks are winners when it comes to heart health and longevity. And for tea, especially, there are likely more health benefits that are yet to be discovered.
One reason coffee is linked to more health benefits than tea is that it’s been the subject of far more studies, said Chopra at Harvard Medical School. “I tell my tea drinker friends that we may learn in the years to come that tea has additional benefits,” he added.
If you are neither a coffee nor a tea drinker, don’t feel pressured to change. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans state that people who don’t drink coffee or tea aren’t encouraged to start. Plain or flavored water and milk are also good healthy options.
There is one final category in the tea and coffee smackdown that should be considered: popularity. It’s been estimated that the world drinks three cups of tea for every cup of coffee. And tea is the second most popular beverage in the world. The first is water.

Thanks! Now which of the season 3 boys have the best bums?🍑
Ohhh season 3 👀 I have to say I don't "know" them nearly as well as the season 2 cast, but here you go!
The butts of the S3 boys – A ranking
🍑 Tai
Have you all seen rugby butts? They are m a g n i f i c e n t, and that of course includes Tai's. Bubbly, but not too firm, and fun to squeeze (he likes it when you do it too). A butt fit for a king 👑
🍑 Rafi
Definitely one of his best assets. Looks good on camera and in real life. Probably insured, and understandably so. Uses body lotion, so it's nice and soft too.
🍑 Ciaran
A pleasant surprise, but our dear Irish bouncer never skips leg day. However, he doesn't quite appreciate what he's got and so his butt goes largely underutilised and ignored smh
🍑 Camilo
Beautifully proportioned with the rest of his body, but could do with a bit more love and attention to truly shine. At its best when he does capoeira, or just wears anything but gym shorts
🍑 Nicky
A decent butt, but has never been exercised or used for anything but sitting on. An underappreciated butt, but it's there and it has so much potential. As it is it's just a perfectly fine butt, but not the first, second or third thing you first notice about Nicky
🍑 Bill
Mayo man has a mayo butt. It's somehow both perky and alarmingly soft at the same time, and could most definitely need some squats to truly become a butt of note. Someone get that man to a gym asap.
🍑 Harry
It's cute, but a bit too small and soft after sitting still while dealing crypto and NFTs for too long. Will most likely just get grumpy if you try to suggest squats.
🍑 Seb
Like two pancakes (not the american kind)... sorry @starsarestars 🥞

Public School Stuff I Wanted to Share
public school is both beautiful and horrifying am i right
so ill just go by the grades i guess
Kindergarten, first year
i did kindergartden at a catholic school in a relativly big city so this one’s got some shit
we went to church every wednesday, me and best friend (lost track of her when we moved, wish we’d stayed in touch, she was awesome) would giggle the whole time, pretty sure we made fun of jesus once, can’t remember why, possibly the hair
i had the nicest teacher, she was (as i remember her) young, blonde, and super sweet, that was the first and last year i ever had naptime
SPEAKING of naptime
i never slept during it
once i found what i remember being a nut of some sort on the ground, probably came off someone’s shoe
i grab it, turn to sarah (my best friend), say something about putting it up my nose
sarah, apparently having common sense, says, “no dont do it!! we’re supposed to be sleeping!!”
i put it up my fucking nose
try to get it out, just push it farther in
im crying a little bit now, that shit hurts
go up to my teacher
“you’re supposed to be asleep!”
“i have a nut up my nose and it wont come out”
teacher tries to get it out, but it wont budge
just. sends me back to my mat
that was it
the art room was tiny
like re-purposed broom closet tiny
there was a copy of the mona lisa in the hallway, someone had drawn ray bans on it with a pencil, never got replaced
there was a creepy-ass basement i went down to after school, we ate cheeseballs and sandwiches with some kind of meat, mayo, and that kinda yellow bread
someone broke his leg down there once, think an older kid threw him at the ceiling or something
we learned how to play Silver Bells with actual bells in music class
Kindergarten, second year
i remember these two teachers as the evil step sister-type look, but it might be my little kid imagination
but seriously they were horrible
we learned stuff in a room that was more middle-school styled, except everything was green or black and it was v dark
me and sarah attained a new friend, john
honestly i think we would’ve stayed friends for a while if i didnt move away
i have two vivid memories
one is of me really wanting to go home, so i walked by the teacher’s desk and did a fake sneeze
they laughed at me and told me to go sit back down
the other is  john leaning his chair back and then falling, so me and sarah went to help him back up
it was funny, so he did it again
and again
me and sarah were laughing, had the time of our lives
after the maybe fifth time the teachers said “john can get back up by himself. sit down and stay there.”
one of the reasons we moved was bc i got sent a letter from my fourth grade buddie
most of the words weren’t spelled correctly, many letters were backwards
my mother was horrified
ofc now we know it was probably a learning disability
1st grade
this is when i moved
beginning of school i was ASTOUNDED we didnt have uniforms, one of the best things ever to happen to me
nothing wrong with this teacher, she was cool
thing is i was a little shit
told everyone my dogs died (they did but i was maybe three when it happened, i remember it not)
all my personal narratives were bullshit (only one sticks in my memory, wrote it about celebrating christmas AND hanukkah with my dad’s friends who were jewish, i have never even met those friends)
had a crush on this kid, best friend (she was terrible and helped wreck me emotionally) told me to kiss him in music class. me being a stupid ass bitch, i did it, aND HE GOES TO THE TEACHER AND CALLS ME OUT. at the end of class she gets both of us to stay for a bit, AND I DENYIED EVERYTHING. i walked across the fucking classroom, kissed him on the cheek, ran away giggling, told my teacher i didn’t do anything, AND GOT AWAY WITH IT. i’ve embarrassed myself further with this child but thats another story
2nd grade
i loved this teacher but honestly he was absolute shit
like. all he did was play the guitar and sing with us
never actually taught us stuff???
middle of the year, my mom goes in for a parent-teacher conference, he tells her i dont pay attention is math.
“what do you mean?”
“she doesn’t listen, she just takes out a book and starts reading.”
“........have you.... tried taking the book away?”
“sure, i could try that.”
“o....kay”
he also told her i’d be a girl who’d grow up to love spellcheck (which i do lmao)
like ???? why not just??? teach me to spell????
there was this one dude who one day showed up, gave me a pink stuffed cat, and then asked me where i lived
funniest thing was he lived on the same street as me
something that is vivid in my memory is showing up to class one day and realizing that i was wearing my regular clothes over my pajamas
also we had fish
every day someone else was in charge of feeding them
one of the times it was my job, i grab the fish food and walk over to the tank only to find all of the fish floating on the top
i screamed “THE FISH CAN FLY?!?!?!?!?!”
everyone ran over, all of us scarred for life when Mr. G walks over and goes in the most normal voice ever “no theyre dead”
we held a funeral
the cause of death is still undetermined
3rd grade
this year just draws a blank for me
all i know is that whoever the teacher was, they neglected to teach me how to tell time from a clock
also we learned the Cotten Eyed Joe dance in gym around here
4th grade
i had two teachers this year
one was the same one from 1st grade, the other one was a total bitch
made a girl named hannah ball her eyes out once, never apologized
i was (and am) and avid reader, so my reading skills were high above average
instead of being proud of me she told me i was weird, not normal, and too smart for a 4th grader, so i MUST be cheating.
she was the start of a lot of self confidence issues for me ngl
this was around the time i went and got tested for ADHD (me and my grandmother almost broke down on the highway but thats another story), Mrs. M (the nice one) was super supportive when i told her why i was leaving early but Ms. S (bitch) told me ADHD wasn’t real and i just wanted to be special for once
she sucked, Ms. S
5th grade
this is getting super long so this’ll be the last one i do
but my teacher..... Mr. F was A+++++
he legitimately taught me math
we had i guess like,,, a buddie class we switched with sometimes
the teacher of that class was Mrs. R, who had crazy red hair and many freckles
at one point she referenced a meme and my entire class started screaming
also there was another Mrs. S (to differentiate this one will be called Mrs. Su)
she was kind of crazy
she was the astronomy teacher and she told us many times that the moon landing was faked
once she handed out sunscreen and had everyone put it on their whole body (this was in december, fyi)
Mr. F also hosted an ‘archeological dig’ which sounds cool but in reality he had a bunch of arcade prizes from his childhood buried in little flower pots we dug into with plastic spoons
also heres some stuff i cants pinpoint the time of/happened in multiple grades:
someone held a who-can-scream-the-most-like-a-goat contest
a guy named Makenzie won
remember we planned it while the teacher left the classroom so the teacher walks back in and one by one everyone in the room starts screaming, there was some applause, a few kids got a standing ovation
we cleaned out our desks in the middle of the year, i found 3 socks and a dog treat in mine
like how the fuck did any of those things get there
and where’s the fourth sock
b o t t l e f l i p p i n g
but no seriously there were at least five water bottles stuck in the ceiling in the cafeteria
my sorta friend charlie was obsessed with paper airplanes
one time he might’ve broken the world record for longest time in the air but he was counting in his head and it was at recess so there was no video
four square and gaga ball would be played no matter the setting, time, or conditions and it was super competitive
like if you could get to king in four square you got the everlasting respect of everyone
and everyone was super educated on four square special rules, special plays, that kinda shit
no but guys i grew up with bus stop, candy store, haunted house on mondays, haunted mansion on fridays, zombies was fair game unless it was Zach, Ryan, Chrissy or Vee
me and one other guy named andrew were the only known pjo fans, had the time of our LIVES making refrences
“HEY ANDREW IM NOBODY”
“I HAVE WAITED YEARS FOR YOU, NOBODY, COME HERE AND FACE YOUR DEATH”
“hey annabeth, i thought you looked like a princess when i first saw you. i printed out a picture you sent me casually and kept it with me. i snuck along on a quest so i could save you, endangering myself immensely. i held the sky for you. when you talk about your crush on luke, i get jealous. beckendorf understood, but hes dead.”
“ikr we’re literally the best of friends”
“RIGHT”
also the first time we finished mark of athena we were in the same classroom and we individually dropped the book, stood up, looked at each other, and screamed “WELL FUCK YOU TOO RICK RIORDAN”

1 - What was the last thing you watched on TV? I was trying to watch the new season of American Horror Story but, this season seems like it's a bit iffy and rough with itself. It surely didn't keep my attention like other seasons have.
2 - Do you have the heating or air conditioning on at the moment? I have a fan on at the moment.
3 - When was the last time you did something to help someone else? I tried to talk to my coworker and help her out some... however, I feel like I may have not been able to help as much as I would have liked. x.x
4 - If you have a job, have you been busier or quieter since the whole COVID thing hit? In the beginning of it... it was really crazy and busy but, then it died down when there was a limit and curfew?! Then after things started opening again... it got crazy busy again but, usually in the winter it's quiet.
5 - Do you spend more time on your own or with others? Are you happy with that? I spend more time on my own with family. I would like to go out and hang out with others eventually. More or less... find a decent significant other. I have been single for five years and it's nice but, I still would like to think as well that there is someone out there for me. x'D I am a weirdo.
6 - Do you know anyone who has been diagnosed with autism? Yeah.
7 - Have you had your wisdom teeth removed? What about your tonsils or your appendix? I have my tonsils and appendix. I am trying to get my wisdom teeth removed because they cause issues for me. So... I have an appointment in September to get a cleaning done but, I really hope they can pull the teeth out as well asap.
8 - Are you scared of needles? Yeah huh.
9 - Do you dress more for comfort, fashion or practicality? I dress more for comfort now a days.
10 - When was the last time you smoked a cigarette? I don't smoke.
11 - Would you rather drink tea, coffee, hot chocolate or water? I should be drinking more water but, I can't go without coffee sadly.
12 - Do you have a lot of ornaments around your house? If I owned my own place... x'D I would definitely have a lot of decor around it. I have as much ornaments and decor I can around my mother's place. I even stick random stuff around her home and car. This morning I made another Parasyte sticker and stuck it on the back of my mother's van. My fave characters... Migi and Shinichi ...my other fave characters from the show are Murano and Ryoko Tamiya (more so because she was a mother... even though she was a parasyte and gave birth to a human child, she protected that human child with her all. You could tell how she changed with time... is what I feel.) Also, Kana I liked her as well.
13 - Do you own more books or DVD’s? I own more books.
14 - How often would you say you took surveys? I really like taking surverys and sharing with others if they are ever curious about me.
15 - Have you ever worn a uniform to school or work? They spoke about having students wear uniforms to school but, it never happened when I was going to school. I do have to wear a uniform at work ... it kind of sucks because I am an ASM and I feel like we should be able to have a bit more freedom in our clothing choice but, good news is that ... they allow us to wear blue jeans now! [[-=
16 - Who was the first person you had a sleepover with? Are you still in touch with that person today? I think the first person that I ever had a sleep over with was my best friend Lariah and we are grown now... so we have a lot that we do in our lives. We very rarely ever get to see one another or speak anymore sadly.
17 - When you were growing up, did you have any friends who were almost like family to you? Most definitely.
18 - Could you cook an entire Christmas or Thanksgiving Dinner entirely on your own with no help from other people or recipe books? For the most part, I think I would be able to do something of the sorts but, I still would need a tad bit of help.
19 - Do you cook from scratch or do you rely more on ready meals or frozen food? I really enjoy cooking from scratch but, because my schedule is so crazy and busy most times... I have to deal with the ready made stuff or frozen. x.x On my days off though... I tend to cook dinner sometimes and make that from scratch.
20 - What’s your favourite type of fast food? Is it something you eat often? I try to stay away from fast food however if I am out and about it's mostly burger king that I am grabbing and eating. x.x
21 - If you’ve been under a lockdown or stay-at-home order, what did you find the most difficult about it? I wish I could be under something of sorts sometimes.. I would have more time to craft. Aha... as long as I am getting paid for it and eventually I could go back to work. I never had a "pause" from work. I even got a letter stating that I was allowed to be out past the state's curfew because of work and being "essential".
22 - Do you still buy or read any magazines? Sometimes. The last two magazines that I brought were a health one and another one about sleep studies. I'm a geek or nerd. x.x
23 - As a teenager, what did you spend most of your pocket money or allowance on? Definitely food.
24 - Do you have much of a sweet tooth? Sometimes. I don't eat a lot of sugar often... but, I do have moments where I eat a lot of gummies and recently I tried chocolate covered roasted coffee beans and they are really yummy too.
25 - Are there any common “popular” foods that you don’t particularly like yourself? Have people ever told you you’re odd/strange for disliking that particular food? Mayo on sand. Peanut Butter and Jelly (ever two blue moons I may eat one of those sand.) I really don't favor any kind of mayo on my sand. unless it's a gas station made sand. it has to have extra oil and vinegar on it with the mayo and not just plain mayo but, for a sand it's just usually meat, cheese and the bread for me. I have been told I am pretty odd for such a thing.
26 - Likewise, are there are any commonly hated foods that you love? I guess frozen tater tots if that counts...haha...
27 - Would you rather eat pizza or pasta? Pizza.
28 - Do you own a lot of store loyalty cards? Nope.
29 - When was the last time you read a newspaper? A while ago.
30 - What kind of noises can you hear around you right now? My family. <3
