I’ve had an urge to write about this lately, so here it comes ..

Out of Sign Conjunctions - (Synastry)

conjunction but with a twist

Out of sign conjunction = conjunction between two planets, albeit in different signs

What orb do I consider? = for personal planets I’d say 0-3 strong / high influence, 4-6 influential - moderate, 7-9 moderate - mild)

The Conjunction is an interesting aspect in natal, transit, Synastry or any other Chart.

Conjunctions in themselves are considered „neutral“ because the way they play out heavily depends on the planets involved - it makes a difference if Moon conjuncts Venus or Pluto conjuncts Venus. Or if Mars conjuncts Moon. So generally speaking, the conjunctions don’t have to stay neutral - because the planets involved change the nature of the conjunction.

Generally the two major factors are (1) personal, generational or both kind of planets involved; and (2) the „nature“ of the planets involved (roughly they are divided into benefics and malefics - even when all planets are beneficial in the long-term IMO)

I’d like to focus this Out of Sign conjunction discussion on out of sign conjunctions between two personal planets due to the reason that the nature of this aspect is more relevant for personal planets - as personal planets are more influenced by the sign they are in than generational planets. Basically, signs give personal planets their „character“ while for generational planets House position and aspects are more important.

Getting to the point ..

The main energy of a conjunction is one of harmony, togetherness, kinship, affinity and understanding.

Personal planets that conjunct each other usually „get“ each other. That’s the nature of the conjunction - they are close in proximity (usually also in the same sign) and thus have a similar stand and view point, including needs, values and traits. They kind of are the same (even if not totally) and thus naturally agree on many things without even having to try.

Of course, there are exceptions. The main one being Mars. Mars is a so-called malefic which basically means he is able to create disharmony - doesn’t mean he HAS to though. It all depends.

He goes great with Venus but if he’s conjuncting Mercury for example this can indicate quarreling and annoyance, though this synastrical aspect can also manifest as mental stimulation, lively discussion and friendly or even flirty banter. The same goes for Mars/Sun - this can manifest more positively / neutral as vibing off each other, getting energy and inspiration from the other, healthy competition and ego-boost or it can show up as more of a competitive, aggressive, agitating and getting in each other’s face vibe. Usually the Mars will feel challenged and annoyed by the Sun person‘s ego while the Sun will feel agitated and violated by Mars‘ perceived reactive and aggressive behavior (the same goes for Mars opposite, square,inconjunct, tao, bilin Sun, by the way, and can be even more extreme here (tao and bilin are minor aspects I like to consider - more in another post )).

Which of the octaves being mentioned show themselves depends on several factors - like the condition of each person's planets (especially aspects), the native‘s personal level of development and the rest of the Synastry (other aspects, mitigating or enhancing influences and the general vibe between the two Charts and people) as well as the rest of the individual Charts (conflict-shy vs. head-on etc).

Anyhow, back to topic.

It was mentioned that the planets within a conjunction aspect are very similar in nature and thus not only close in local proximity (conjunction = within an orb of 10) but also close in „character“, traits, values and needs.

This kind of kinship changes when the two planets occupy different signs.

Since the energy of neighboring signs is usually quite contrasting (think Aries - Pisces, Leo - Cancer, Taurus - Gemini or Cap - Aqua), out of sign conjunctions will usually express a little differently than ‚normal‘ in-sign conjunctions.

The proximity by location is still present (it could even be a very close orb of 0 or 1), however the proximity by resemblance changes.

This creates an interesting mix.

Let’s say, you’re a Taurus Moon and you value stability, closeness and physical touch. And along comes a lively and talkative Gemini Venus that values freedom, excitement and mental stimulation. Usually, being your Taurean self, these Gemini traits would immediately turn you off or at least you wouldn’t consider the person carrying them relationship or even romantic material for you. However, now let’s say their Venus is at 0 deg Gemini and your Taurus Moon is at 27 degrees - so there’s a rather close conjunction, albeit out of sign.

Now, you might be feeling strangely nurtured and understood by the energetic Gemini Venus and the Gemini Venus might feel overly affectionate and loving in your presence. Both of you might be confused because you feel a draw to a certain person/ placement that you wouldn’t usually feel a draw towards or, objectively, wouldn’t prefer trait-wise.

But the connection is undeniable - because aspects are always felt no matter what signs they’re in.

And there is also an opportunity in that.

The Taurean earth Moon might suddenly become more open toward more emotional freedom, spontaneity and excitement because they feel safe und understood by the Venus Gemini at the same time as discovering those new aspects of life. And the usually fickle and non-committal Gemini Venus might suddenly discover a more committal and nurturing side of themselves in the presence of the Taurus Moon.

In a relationship (only considering this aspect) these two would work well together due to the very beneficial nature of the Moon/Venus conjunction. Usually they will both discover sides of themselves they didn’t know they had - and sides they might only be able to discover through each other (or other similar out of sign aspects). They might have to make some adjustments because what the other person naturally likes (Taurus Moon = stay at home and chill on the couch) might not exactly be what the other person likes best (Venus Gemini = go out, be active, gather in groups). However, these two have a real chance or inspiring each other to discover new aspects of life - within their comfort zone (due to the comfortable and supportive energy of the conjunction). They basically support each other to explore new sides of life.

The same goes for other out of sign aspects that are harmonious - trines, sextiles and the minor aspects I like to use (with small orbs 0-2) - quintiles, septiles, noviles and deciles.

It’s a similar story - someone might have qualities that you usually wouldn’t value. Say you’re a Cancer Venus and they’re trining you with their Aries Mars .. usually you might enjoy people who are soft and timid in their approach of wooing you (like Pisces, Scorpio and Cancer) or stable and predictable people (like Taurus, Cap and Virgo) and Aries’ direct and upfront energy turns you off.

But then you meet this one Aries Mars where your Cancer Venus all of the sudden finds their fiery and passionate energy exciting and refreshing to some point. The clash you usually experience with this fire energy doesn’t happen - you feel more comfortable with them albeit them having the traits that usually make you shy away.

And what about disharmonious in-sign aspects you ask?

Well, I‘d say it’s kind of the opposite - although I would say it generally doesn’t have that much of an influence.

For example, you have your Venus at 0 degrees Aquarius and it squares someone’s Mercury at 27 degrees Aries. Sign-wise, your planets are in harmonious signs to each other. However, aspect-wise there is a rather tight square with an orb of 3.

This means usually you would like the Arian brash and upfront way of talking and communicating but with this person, for some reason, you dislike the way they speak and there might be a discord between the two of you in matters of understanding. On the other hand, the Aries Mercury might usually understand how Aqua Venus likes to be wooed and talked to but in your case he just doesn’t seem to get what and how to please you.

There are millions of more examples so I would love to hear your experiences!

I think that nowadays we are very aware of love languages, and to be honest, the topic has attracted my attention for a long time. I decided to make this post in which I connect some placements with the 5 love languages.

Before we start, what are love languages? Where does this theory come from?

In 1992, a book written by Gary Chapman was published, which established the five love languages ​​that we express both for friends and couples [in general loved ones]. Mars rules sexual desire and intimacy, while the Moon shows affection and different types of intimacy and closeness.

🤎Cancer Moon needs to feel that closeness with their partner, whether emotionally or physically [preferably both]. They love gestures of tenderness. They sense when their partner needs a hug or a caress, they are very good at reading their partner's needs, for this reason, they will feel delighted with a person who is similar in this aspect. The astrologist on the reel was explaining how it was possible to see with the 10H where your Future Spouse was born/ come from, and explained in the reel. I'll give credits of course. But people in her comments seem to be confused still and she wasn't replying much. I thought of making a post about it and making it more clear! It is indeed a very interesting theory. In the reel she took the example of Angelina Jolie.

ꕥ The 7H in astrology represents the Future Spouse. And in Numerology, the number 4 represents the home, foundation, productivity and sometimes wealth.

ꕥ So if we count from the 7H until the 10H, we find a gap of 4. So in this theory, the 10H will so represent where the Future Spouse of the native was born.

ꕥ This technique is to be used on Natal Charts only. I will explain the technique used in order for you to understand better. This technique is to be used to guess the country but also the key words of the city they were born in.

ꕥ This technique doesn't say where your FS lives right now! It is only a way to found out where your FS comes from.

ʚïɞ In your 10H/MC, you will need to check the sign it is in. You will also check the degree of the house, but also the ruler, and what planets are in the 10H. We are only going to check planets! Sun to Pluto only!

ʚïɞ For the Ruler of your 10H, you will need to check where it is in your chart and under what sign.

ʚïɞ For the planets inside, it will tell us what kind of country and place your FS was born in. I'll give all the key words after the examples. For the planets, we will use the ones that are the closest to your MC! So if you have any planets that exactly conjuncts your MC it's perfect! Otherwise, just take the closest. The closest planets to take will need to be 10° apart maximum from the line of the MC!

ʚïɞ Unfortunately it is very hard to explain this technique just like that, so I will use different examples down below for you to understand better. I want to also add that everything is more about describing where your FS was born, and so everything will work with key words!

ʚïɞ Example: My MC is Cancer 23°. I will look at Cancer/ Moon keywords, Aquarius too because of the degree. I have Leo Sun and Cancer Mercury in 10H, so I'll look at Mercury & Leo/ Sun too.

°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:･ Examples

ꕥ In the astrologer's example, she uses Angelina Jolie who has Aries MC in 17°. In her 10H, the planets closest to her MC are Jupiter (exactly conjunct her MC at 17° both) and Mars, which happens to be in the 9H. Aries MC is so ruled by Mars and the 17° is a Leo degree. She explains that Angelina's spouse would be born in a place related to royalty, fights could have happened there, and it can be a very known place too. Jupiter and the 9H (because Aries being ruled by Mars happens to be in the 9H) are both related to traveling, so many people could travel there, it's a very touristic place. Moreover, it can so mean marrying a foreigner. Her first husband, Jonny Lee Miller, was born in England, in a city named Kingston upon Thames. The country is indeed related to royalty and is very famous, but also the city. Originally, the city had another name which translated to "The King's Estate/ Manor". Jupiter is indeed a planet about optimism, success, luck, and generosity but it's also about abundance. Kingston upon Thames makes sense in this case, as it is the King's possession, abundance. Mars could also be so related to a man, it's also a planet about masculinity. The King marking his territory in this case, by calling this city "his" (happened a lot at that time) makes great sense.

ꕥ Jungkook has Libra MC 27°, ruled by Venus. In the 10H, he has Mars in it. But the planet which is the closest is Venus which is in his 9H. Jungkook's FS was born in a place that is related to femininity, anything related to beauty, art, beauty of the soul, sensuality, music, dancing, marriage too could be important in this culture, beauty, fashion, luxury too. The 27° could be related to a certain language, so this could be a place where people speak many different languages and have many different cultures. Many people could live there, and there could be a lot of moments in general. MC's ruler being in the 9H makes a lot more sense as to the fact his FS is a foreigner. Mars here could mean the place they were born in is full of movement, it could be a very active place, so perhaps his FS was born in a capital. Because of the Libra and Venus influence, his FS could be born in a place known for beauty, the way women dress, they way they do their make up, they way they move or act sensual, they could be from a country women are considered goddesses for example, or a place where there could be a lot of jewels for example, or a certain make up style, etc.

ꕥ My sister has Capricorn MC 10°, ruled by Saturn. In the 10H, she doesn't have much as planets, only asteroids. Otherwise, the Sun is very close to the MC and they actually conjunct each other. It seems like my sister's FS will be from a place people work hard, they can come from a wealthy place, a place people have a lot of belongings, though corruption can happen. They can come from a place where people are introvert, don't go talk to people, and they can come from a capital kind of city, big city, etc. An old country too. With the Sun being closed to the MC, the FS can come from a latin country, royalty, a place that is very popular, very visited, almost overrated. Since the ruler is Saturn, we need to look where it falls in her chart, and it falls in 4H in Cancer! And, as I was sure, they def come from the same country. FS comes from a country where traditions are important, and food may be part of it. FS could also come from a place near water, or the ocean, he could also come from the same city as her, or has been close to her this whole time, despite not knowing each other.

ꕥ In my case, I have Cancer MC 23°, ruled by Moon and Mercury being very closed to the MC. ☀️ Mercury - Pluto aspects have a harsh way of talking sometimes they don't want to come off as rude but they still do. Often times whatever they say is incorrectly interpret or misunderstood by people.

Astro observations part 14

Well, the result of my poll clearly said for this and waiting for it to end would make no difference I know haha, so here we go with part 14 :)

people with planets in subconscious houses(4/8/12) in water signs or even having planets in all of them or at least 2 could be really emotionally receptive, and may feel overwhelming emotions, sometimes being unable to manage this tsunami and moodiness that can manifest can even cause mental troubles

Girls having an afflicted moon/mars placement, or moon or mars in harsh aspects can experience hormonal/menstrual problems some point in life

One of the best friendships happen when your moon sign matches someone's sun sign and vice versa

women with 5th house Leo/Aries/Sun/Mars could be really protective around their children

For girls who say "I always cry on my birthday" or "my birthday month is my worst" could actually have sun transition into their 8th/12th house at the time of their birthday month. I can make a post on how your birthday month could be for you, let me know if you guys want to read.

I often tell my clients and I have seen it myself, people with strong Jupiter in their chart are the ones that go through a lot of hard times, the lesson here is to maintain that unwavering faith and optimistic mindset and move forward, it is not until then that you have learnt, Jupiter starts to bless you :)

planets in your 4th house can in fact tell you what you may like to keep hidden, for example having NN in 4th may not really like sharing my goals or plans with people.

ok so I recently saw some celebrity's newborn's natal chart, and I saw Mars conjunct Uranus in the second, and it just speaks to me that somewhere in this life, this baby gonna want to spend money like crazily-excessively and he would rebel otherwise, this sure can turn into many more mature things with time, but that impulsivity with money seems something that he needs to look after

Mercury in Leo people are actually so unafraid lmao, they can deliver the most obviously wrong facts with full confidence and when you confront them, well you cannot actually. But they can make excellent journalists, debaters, politicians etc.

People with 6th/8th/12th house placements or any of these houses in Virgo/Libra risings should be very aware of who they are entertaining. These kinds of people are actually really giving by nature but they need to be sure that people are not blantly "expecting" them/ latching onto them just for getting what they want.

6th house- literal service, cooking, cleaning, looking after them in tough times

8th house- to change them for their good at the cost of draining yourself

12th house- to mentally elevate or spiritually enlighten someone on the right path

I think it is not very talked about and a very underrated thing but Neptune in 2nd house people can be really intuitive, things they say may come true but they would not have enough confidence to speak it out or believe it themselves is one thing. Can make really good psychic/tarot readers and even astrologers.

Venus in 12th house people may attract situations where they can unknowingly want to keep their relationship/friendships private BUT please for god's sake, talk about it to other people, since to me this translates as an isolated Venus and the chances of being manipulated run high and you probably would not even know.

People who can have their comments get a lot of likes or want to comment out of desire can have Mercury in 11th, but please note Mercury and the 11th should most likely be in fire or air signs, water and earth can rather keep their opinions to themselves.

Speaking of which if you have Mercury-Mars placement in 11th, you are very likely to be someone who fights for what they like, be unafraid of arguing or putting out your comment on internet, for example: fighting that your fav artist is right or this song is being hated on for no reason etc.

You may often find yourself contradicting between the life choices of your North Node and South Node house/Signs. For example, someone with NN in 4th and SN in 10th would want to think "ok I wanna marry young, have kids and look after my kids", OR sometimes think "no not at all I will be an unmarried childless girlboss living her life in 30s", it is likely that it is not in between OR it can be, "well how will I manage this desire to have a successful career and be a mother at the same time idk"

People with Sun/Saturn and Neptune in harsh aspects could have father struggling with substances, or maybe dogmatism or have some kind of un real ideals, may feel very hard to impress, yet you would probably still in some want to get his validation which rather seems impossible because of how out of the world and unrealistic it could be.

Wherever Juno sits in your chart can show what can change in your life most when you meet your spouse or most significant other, for example people with Juno in 11th, would change what they usually prayed or wished for, their friends and social life. Juno in 9th may become more philosophical or open to higher education. Can make another post on this one

Speaking of which, Juno can also give clues on how your future spouse could be, it is like a tarot kind of description, not everything would be accurate but some of it sure would be. For example, Juno in 11th could have spouse who works on Internet or through Internet, could have Aquarian traits of having strong, different opinions, BIG hopes and dreams, etc. Can make a post on this one again lmao
