Tyler Owens x Reader
Additional Note: scenes in this are improvised and aren't true to scenes in the movie (was at work when I wrote one half of it so I had to improvise. )
Would prefer if Minors DNI with this one, but nothing explicit happens, so just read at one's own discretion.
Warning: swear words, pretend sex, implied sex, let me know if i missed anything(although I'm willing to make the sex scene between the reader and Tyler if people are interested- if I added it into this it would have turned into a 3 part instead of a 2 part fic) - still very long so it probably should have been a 3 part regardless, but take it
Y/N was sitting on her bed, a book in her lap when a knock sounded at her door. She perked up, knowing exactly who it was before he walked through the door. She glanced at him as he let himself inside,their eyes catching each other's gazes as he shut the door behind him.
His eyes moved down as she closed her book, setting it on the nightstand next to her.
“Good book?”
“It's a book about lobotomies. So yes.” He raised an eyebrow in what looked to be concern as he walked further into the room. Y/N let out a laugh, a full belly laugh as she reassured him.
“I'm joking. It's a western. Not too bad.” She said, slipping out of the bed. His eyes roamed over her body, before he looked at her face, catching her staring at him with a smirk.
“Would you like a drink?” She asked, moving to the fridge that resided in the room. His eyes took in the little space that she was temporarily calling her own, her bed was slightly unmade, pillows in an unorganized heap. Her suitcase was tucked underneath the bed, but a neat pile of what he assumed to be dirty clothes sat in a pop up hamper sat near the bathroom, ready to be cleaned in the downstairs laundromat.
“Whatcha got?” he asked, finally moving his gaze back to her. Tyler watched as she looked into the fridge, clicked her tongue and turned to look back at him.
“Budweiser is all I got.” she said, cracking a smile. “Not really much for choices.” Tyler shook his head.
“That is okay. But, yea. I’ll take one.” He said. Y/N nodded, turning back around and grabbing two, lifting her shirt in her hand to twist the cap off of both bottles. Tyler caught a glimpse of her body underneath the shirt, his throat going dry as he thanked her for the drink.
“Just so we are on the same page.” Y/N started, moving to her side of the bed once again. “We aren’t doing anything frisky tonight.” She looked up at Tyler as he took a swig from his drink. “There is a bag by the front door for empties. Help yourself to more if you’d like.” she said, and he nodded in acknowledgement. Y/N was silent for a few moments as the stood stared at each other, taking each other in as they stood before each other. Their eyes moved over each other, trying to read the other person. There was something there, both could feel it, and Y/N was tired of waiting, and something in her also told her that Tyler likely felt the same way.
“I wasn’t lying when I said I liked you Tyler. I don’t want things to just be a fling when the season is over.” Tyler nodded, taking a few steps towards the bed. “And we don’t have to talk a lot about it tonight, but I do want to get to you better, if that’s okay.”
Tyler nodded.
“Yea, that’s fine, sweetheart. Anything you want.”
“Great. But, everyone probably didn’t see you come up here. Someone probably did though, so we have to make things look convincing in case someone walks in uninvited-”
“They do that?” he asked. She gave him a look that told him not to ask and he only held a hand up in understanding. “Got it. Anyways, go on.”
“Strip.” Tyler nearly choked on his beer at the order, looking at Y/N as she tried to withhold laughter.
“Pardon?”
“Just to your boxers.” She explained. “I’ll replace my shirt with your flannel, it looks more intimate that way. And then I’ll take just my shorts off.”
“You’ve really thought about this darlin’.”
“Possibly.” She cracked a smile, watching him as he started to unbutton his shirt. Tyler couldn’t help but smile back at her, the grin on her face was highly infectious. He was becoming hypnotized by her and everything that was her. Once his flannel was off, he tossed it in her direction, watching as she caught it effortlessly, setting it on the bed as she turned her body slightly, starting to take her tank top off. As she slipped it off her body, and Tyler watched as she did so, he saw that she wasn’t wearing a bra, his eyes on her backside as he slipped off his pants, dropping them carelessly on the floor of the motel.
At the sound, she turned her head slightly to look at him.
“Is this okay?” She asked, her eyes catching Tyler’s gaze. His heart thudded against his chest. He was okay with it, but the thought of her making sure it was okay with it caused his stomach to flip with butterflies. Most other women would have already tried to throw themselves at him, which is what already made Y/N different from the others. She was committed. She wanted this just as much as Tyler realized he wanted it.
“Yea.” His voice came out hoarse, followed by a raised eyebrow of amusement from Y/N. “It’s okay.” He spoke softly, crawling into the bed, setting his beer on the nightstand. Tyler watched as Y/N finished changing, buttoning up two buttons in the middle of his flannel and pulling her shorts off, tossing them across the bed to settle on the floor not far from his pants.
Tyler enjoyed the sight of his flannel over her body, falling about mid thigh, giving him much to think about.
He watched as she crawled into the bed next to him, shoulders brushing each other’s as Y/N turned on the dingy and very old tv, putting some old reruns of “That 70s Show”. As the two got comfortable, sitting in silence and spending a little bit watching the tv show, Tyler watched from the corner of his eyes as Y/N grinned, turning to him.
“What’s going on in that pretty head of yours darlin’?” He turned his attention from the tv and to her, trying not to let his wander to her cleavage, trying to remain polite.
“What to know what would really give them the impression that we fucked?” she asked. He let out a hum, his eyes drifted briefly to her lips before back to her eyes.
“What’s that?”
“We make sex noises, rock the bed so it hits the wall.” She tried to suppress a laugh as Tyler’s grin grew to match hers.
“God I fucking love that brain of yours.” He said. She blushed at the compliment, her cheeks and ears becoming a shade of red. “But we should also throw in some dirty talk. Y’know. That will really sell it.”
“Okay. Okay. Yes. Good thinking.” Y/N nodded, agreeing. “Who goes first?
“Ladies first.” Tyler motioned for her to begin. Y/N started giggling, finding the idea funny, watching as Tyler also started to suppress a laugh.
Turning her head away from him, she composed herself, then let out a moan.
“Fuck Tyler. Yes, just like that.” She watched as Tyler smacked his hands against his thighs, imitating the sounds of skin slapping, before a low groan escaped his throat.
“Fuck, baby. So fuckin’ tight. Takin’ me so well Darlin’.” Y/N let out more moans, grabbing the headboard and rocking it against the well.
“Feel so good, Tyler. Fuck.” Y/N and Tyler looked at each other, trying to stifle their laughter as they continued the little charade. The two continued to groan and moan in between small bouts of laughter. The dirty talk also continued, as Y/N continued to rock the headboard against the bed. The two kept the charade up for about ten minutes.
“This pussy was made for me. Fuck, Y/N. Squeezing me so well. You’re close. I know it. I feel it.So am I Sugar.” His voice was almost guttural at this point, trying to imitate him being close to an actual orgasm.
Y/N moans got higher pitched and Tyler continued to make slapping noises.
“That’s it. Such a good girl, Y/N.” Tyler let out a broken groan, and Y/N let out a moan to match his, until the two finally let out a string of expletives, their fake moans and groans becoming broken as they reached their fake orgasms. The slapping of his hands on his thighs and the pounding of the headboard stopped. The two sat in silence for several moments, before the two broke out into quiet laughter, Y/N turning her head to muffle her laughter into the skin of Tyler’s shoulder and he turned his head to bury his face into her hair, his own laughter muffled by her hair, lips pressed against her head softly.
The two sat in silence once again, pressed slightly closer to each other than what they were previously, having not moved their heads away from each other, eyes back on the tv still playing old reruns. His fingers gently grazed her thigh, and she let him, pushing her thigh closer to his hand. Tyler let his hand move up, hand now settled entirely on her thigh, drawing small shapes.
“We should play 2 truths one lie. But instead of 2 truths, it's 2 lies and one truth.” Y/N finally spoke up, tilting her head slightly to look up at him. His eyes moved down to look down at her, moving to her lips briefly before back to her eyes.
“What are we? Teenagers?”
“Please.” She begged him. Tyler let out a sigh and rolled his eyes.
“Okay. Okay. I'll go first.” Tyler shifted slightly, getting comfortable, his grip tightening slightly on her thigh before it loosened. “Okay. I can't handle spicy foods, I've been storm chasing my entire life, and I had a Shetland pony named Ruger growing up.”
“Easy. You’ve been storm chasing you're entire life.” She said.
“No, actually. I had a Shetland pony growing up. The other two are lies. I can definitely handle spice and I've only been storm chasing since my late teens. Parents wouldn't let me go when I was younger.”
“You and a Shetland pony?”
“Yes. We were inseparable.” Tyler said, Looking down at her. “He was a Christmas gift. Absolutely adored him.”
“Figured you’d be more of a thoroughbred or Quarter horse kind of guy.”
“Nope. Had some, but Ruger was my guy.” He answered. His eyes moved back down to her. “You're turn sugar.”
“Okay. I had a thing for Javi.” She grinned at him, and he rolled his eyes, a small smile still on his face regardless. “ I've been bull riding.” She waited until his eyes moved back to her before she said the final one. Her hand came up to rest on his cheek, his head instinctively leaning down closer to her face. “I really enjoyed the kiss earlier.” His eyes moved back to her lips, before he moved in, his lips pressing against hers for the second time that night.
Tyler's hand moved to her waist, rolling on top of her, body pressed into hers. His hand slipped under his flannel, fingers grazing her stomach. She sucked in a breath, her hands looping around his neck, fingers finding homage in his hair.
Tyler moved away from her lips, trailing kisses down her jaw and towards her neck, biting and sucking on the skin where her neck met her shoulder. Her neck tilted away, giving him more space to work as she caved in to him.
“What do you want, Sugar.” He mumbled against her skin. Her legs spread for him, allowing him to move his hips between her legs. Tyler’s lips grazed her shoulder softly, before he pulled back and looked her in her face. She let out a groan, giving in to him.
“I owe you a ride don’t I?” She asked. Tyler smirked, the image of her wearing his cowboy hat ingrained in his mind.
“Atta girl.” Tyler flipped them over so that he was on his back and she straddled him. Her hands settled on his chest, her hands moving up and down his skin, taking in the feeling of him beneath her.
“I just ask for one thing, Tyler.” She said, Looking down at him, feeling vulnerable, in that moment.
“For you? Anything.” He said.
“No one night flings.”
“No. I'm afraid, after tonight darlin’, you’re stuck with me.”
“Good.”
—----
Y/N stepped out of her motel room, Tyler holding the door open for her before following her out. The two walk side by side, walking towards the stairs that would take them to the ground level. Everyone down below watched as they talked and exchanged laughs, only one of the groups finding solace in the evolution of the two’s relationship.
Their shoulders brushed together and Tyler’s hat was now back upon his head, looking down at Y/N as she spoke.
“I remember the bet from the bar last night. About the winner of the pool game. I am almost certain that you let me win.” She claimed, turning her head to look at him, a smirk on her face, one in which he had returned.
“Not sure I know what you are talking about, Sugar. That’s quite an accusation. But a deal is a deal. You get to choose who goes to what storm.” Tyler stopped her, pinning her to the railing of the second floor.
“Follow us.” Tyler stared at her.
“That’s not what I meant sweetheart.”
“I know. But it’s what I want.” She said. He stared at her for several moments longer before finally nodding.
“If that’s what you want.”
“It is.” His eyes moved past her and landed on the StormPar crew, who couldn’t tear their eyes away from the two. Two of his fingers slipped through a belt loop, pulling her towards him. He dipped his head down, capturing her lips in a searing kiss, grinning when they heard the Tornado Wranglers hootin and hollering.
“Still puttin a show on for them?” Y/N laughed against his lips once they pulled away.
“Using your words darlin’.” Tyler pulled away, his tongue darting out to lick his lips. His hand moved from her belt loop and to her waist. “It’s fun riling them up.” He grinned at her, before it turned into a soft smile. “You bought coffee yesterday. I’ll run across the street and get it this time.”
Y/N smiled up at him, a genuine smile, one that lacked mischievous and snark.
“Could get used to that smile of yours.” He murmured softly, taking all of her in.
“You better.” Her hands came up to rest on his neck, pulling him down for another kiss, fingers weaving into his hair as he pulled her against him.
“I don’t know if I can ever get used to kissing these lips of yours though. Each one is its own amazing experience.” Y/N let out a full belly laugh, Tyler pulling away to grin at her.
“Whatever, cowboy.You mentioned a cup of coffee?”
“On it.” He smirked at her and tipped his hat, making his way down the stairs. Y/N watched him go and watched as he interacted with his group, promising them all coffee on him as he walked off. StormPar glared at him as he passed them, politely tipping his hat in their direction.
Y/N finally made her way down the stairs, smiling at Tyler’s group as she walked past them, giving them all a good morning as she walked over to the StormPar vehicles. She held their gazes as they looked at her, most of them giving her a cold shoulder as she attempted to help them get ready for the day.
She tried offering input on weather conditions for each storm and would be better when compared to another. No one wanted to listen. Y/N tried offering help in getting technology and systems ready for the trip, but she was ignored.
“Don’t need to go another round with him?” Someone asked, shouldering past her. Her eyes watched them retreat, and when she turned to look at Javi, he couldn't even meet her gaze. Her throat closed up, and she moved to Lion, climbing into the back seat. Y/N stared at the back of the front passenger seat, the silence in the truck becoming suffocating.
“Owens hasn’t tainted you enough yet? Figured you’d be attached to him like a lovesick puppy after last night.” Scott’s voice reached her ears through the lowered window. She closed her eyes, leaning her head back against the seat, trying to drown out the voices outside of the vehicle. Tyler and his group weren't terrible. They were competition though, and apparently it was frowned upon to be fraternizing with them.
Then she decided to make a rash decision, climbing out of the truck and making her way over to the other wrangler’s. Her feet crunched against the gravel on the ground, aware of the eye on her back as she held her head high, her sight focused on Boone, Lilly, and the others, who had all stopped what they were doing to watch her.
“Y/N. Tyler isn’t back with the coffees yet.” Lilly spoke up, catching her attention.
“I figured. I just…I was wondering if you guys would like a tag along.”
“You can have shotgun.” Boone told her. With that being said, Y/N sat with them, waiting for Tyler to return. She shared some laughs with them, in a much better mood than she was when she had walked over. Y/N mainly had taken the opportunity to get to know the group better, learning things that she never had the chance to learn previously.
It wasn’t much longer before Tyler had arrived back to them, his eyes catching the gaze of Y/N. His face turned to StormPar briefly before he finished handing out the coffees to everyone who had wanted one, the last one going to Y/N.
“What’s the issue?” He asked. “Everything okay?” Her gaze moved to the StormPar crew, before back to him. She didn’t have to say anything for him to understand what she was trying to tell him. He stepped closer to where she sat on the tailgate of his truck, hands coming to rest on her thighs, his cup of coffee abandoned next to her.
“Let them stew in it. We aren't breaking the law or anything. They are just a bunch of lonely pansies with nothing else to do.” He said, a finger coming up to tap her nose. “Understood?”
She laughed softly at his words and nodded.
“Understood.”
“Good. Now get your pretty ass up in that shotgun seat.” He helped her down from the tailgate and the two walked over to the passenger side. Tyler opened The door for her, a soft kiss landing on her temple as reassurance for the day, and landed a smack to her ass.
Y/N turned around, seeing him leaning against the open window, a cheeky grin on his face. It was infectious, and she couldn't help the smile she gave back to him.
Her smile faltered slightly, seeing Javi, Kate and Scott staring at them. Tyler turned his head, catching sight if the three and stared for a few seconds before he turned back to her.
“I get Rivera and Carter are your friends, but changes have to be made if they won't.” Y/N nodded as she looked at him.
“I'll talk to them tomorrow. See if we can reach common ground.” Tyler watched as she pulled her phone out, sending Javi a text message stating that, Just telling him he wasn't giving up on StormPar just yet.
“Y'know Sugar. StormPar isn't what you think they are.” Y/n turned her to look at him after pressing send.
“What d'you mean?”
“They feed off the weak. Talking to the victims like they do? The ones that lose their house and everything inside? They are moving in to buy from the victim and turn it around for their own gain.”
“And what are you trying to telling me to do?” She asked quietly. Y/N was surprised when she didn't feel shocked about the revelation. Watching interactions in destroyed towns between StormPar and victims had always left a sour taste in her mouth.
“Sweetheart, I'm not trying to tell you what you should do. You’re smart. I mean, you’re giving me a chance.” He grinned again at her and Y/N smiled, pressing a hand to his face in an attempt to push him away. Tyler only captured that hand in his own, thumbs running along her knuckles.
“What about you and your shirts?” She asked.
“All proceeds from the shirts go to buying food for those who need it after a disaster like an EF5. Yea, it's a little untasteful to sell some in the towns, but we don't keep any of it.” Tyler explained.W"its the difference between us and StormPar. We are in it for the communities. StormPar is in for themselves.” Y/N stared at him in thought, taking it all in. She has seen Lilly, Ben, when he wasn't taking photos, and some of the others passing food out to The people of the damaged communities. It was slowly starting to make sense to her. She turned her head to look back at Tyler, seeing him still staring at her, head tilted slightly.
“Kiss me?” It came out as more of a question than a demand.
“Yes ma'am.” He tipped his head forward, tip of his stetson tilting up slightly as it brushed against her head. Boone made fake gagging noises in the back as Ben climbed in next to him.
Y/N smiled into the kiss, amused at Boone's childish antics. The kiss was gentle and soft, full of promise.
When the two pulled away, Tyler pressed a few more chaste kisses to her lips, before giving her a knee weakening smirk and walked around to get into the driver seat.
“Alright ladies and gentleman. We have a storm to chase.”
—---
Y/N looked over to where Tyler was, currently helping a family find their dog. She watched as he showed genuine concern, reassuring the family, before her head moved to where some of his group members sold shirts and passed out food and water to those who needed it.
They were truly the light at the end of the tunnel, while StormPar seemed to be the preceding darkness, back behind them.
“Y/N!”
Many heads turned at the mention of her name, mostly from the Wranglers as she stopped and watched as Javi ran up to her.
“What's going on?” He asked, coming to a stop in front her.
Tyler paused his search for the dog, watching the two, although he couldn't hear what was being said. His eyes were focused on Y/N as she spoke with her boss.
“What do you mean?” She asked.
“Riding with the Tornado Wranglers? Of all people?” He asked. as Y/N watched him, she was almost certain he wanted to say something about Tyler, but had held his tongue.
“I obviously didn't feel welcomed with you guys earlier. And Tyler and his crew have been nothing other than welcoming.” Again. He looked like he wanted to say something but bit it back.
“They are only in this all for themselves. I mean, they sell shirts with Owens face on them, for fucks sake.”
“It's for a better cause than StormPar.” She snapped. “Really? Preying off the families that just lost their homes and everything else they own? buying properties for a reasonable margin and then turning it all around to sell for more for your own gain?”
“We are helping these people.”
“Bullshit. Tyler and his crew have a larger foot in the door helping these people. Using proceeds to buy food and water for those that need while you do nothing of the sort.”
“Smart talk coming from the person who killed three of our friends.” Y/N stopped, feeling like she had been slapped across the face. Even Javi released the damage of his words. She took a step back as her reached for her.
“Y/N, I didn't-”
“No.” her shaky voice cut him off as she turned to walk away.
“Y/N. I'm sorry, just please. Let's talk about this.” His voice fading as her ears started pounding, her eyes moving frantically in front of her before catching sight of Tyler. He stood in the middle of a bunch of rubble, his eyes trained solely on her, having watched the conversation turned into an argument. She swallowed thickly, before turning away and running over to Lion, climbing in. The truck roared to life and she spun tires as she left, leaving everyone in the rear view mirror.
—---
Y/N found refuge in her parents barn, now belonging to her brother and his family. All of her storm equipment and tests and everything else in between still existed her, behind closed doors and semi forgotten. Many pieces collected dust, but the most well loved was her little alcove in the back corner.
A small projector lit up the room, casting a video of a Tornado, sound and everything included around the room. She sat in a bean bag, knees pulled to her chest, tears pricking the corner of her eyes threatening to fall as they were trained on the force of nature. When light flooded the small room, she didn’t move.
Silence filled the air between who stood there watching her and Y/N.
“You’re brother said I’d find you here.” her gaze snapped to Tyler’s, not expecting to see them there.
“Tyler, I’m so-” She was cut off. Y/N wanted to apologize for leaving him, but he held up his hand, silencing her. He moved into the small room, squatting down in front of her. Her eyes followed him, the tears finally falling.
“I had always thought your name sounded familiar. Dexter was the one to piece it all together.” He went silent for a few moments. “I’m sorry to hear about your friends. It’s not your fault.”
“It is though.”
“You never expected it to end the way it did.” Tyler brought a hand up to rest on her leg, providing reassurance.
“They didn't have to die.” She whispered.
“No, they didn't. And it sucks. I know it does sweetheart. But it's not your fault. and Rivera had no right to throw it in your face.” He reassured Her. His hands came to rest on her cheeks. “Are you listening to me?” He asked. Y/N nodded, causing him to give her a soft smile. “Good. Now come out and get some food. Your brother said they haven't seen a lot of you in the last few days, and his wife just made a killer feast.” Y/N chuckled at his last sentence, before she stood up, Tyler doing the same. He leaned down and pressed a long Kiss to her lips, the two of them melting into it.
“I'm sorry for leaving and not saying anything.” Y/N mumbled against his lips after They pulled away.
“It's okay Sugar.” He spoke with the same soft tone as her, his hands coming up to wrap around her, pulling her into a tight hug.
Y/N had fallen further in love with Tyler twice that night. The first one being that exact moment, understanding and caring for her in a way no one else but her brother and his wife did.
The second moment was watching as Tyler interacted with her niece and nephew as they all watched a movie. Her niece sat in his lap, her nephew sitting on the couch next to him as he told them stories about storm chasing, getting vocal and overdramatic to add excitement for the two young children.
A smile sat on her face, widening further as she locked eyes with Tyler during one part of his current story. A feeling that no words could have described passed between the two, knowing instantly that no matter what, they were both in it for the long ride.
And as everyone turned in for the night, and Tyler had beaten Y/N to bed, he had his arms open and already waiting for her. She crawled into them, burying her face into his chest as he buried his face into her neck, hands resting on her lower back and tangled into her hair.
Her arms moved to wrap around his torso, fingers drawing shapes into his back.
“Thank you, cowboy.”
“Anything for you, Sugar.” He mumbled against her skin, moving to press a kiss to her temple before the two of them fell asleep.

Why Joey's EOTPII/Casino character was Owen: a theory
Tagging @smytherines , @toringo and @just-watching-dont-worry. This will be long
First of all, let's introduce our guy: waiter #4 or, as he's called in the subs (more on that later), the manager.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
During the first Spies viewing, one usually pays attention to Joey, as they might be expecting Owen to return in one way or another. I personally got so caught up with this character because of Joey's body language.
Eyes on the Prize II is a very showy number: the ensemble must move at the same time, and they should all be in the same page. They are showy, yet classy; ostentatious, yet controlled. They have to be all the glamour and riches they are singing about.
That's why waiter #4 stood out to me: he's serious as the other are, yes, but he also seems angry. Here are some ensemble photos so that you can see it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why the intensity? Why those gestures? I really encourage you all to rewatch A1P6 so that you can see it, as he keeps the energy for the whole number (even the quick "keep your eyes on the prize" changes). He's not even the waiter that Curt knocks out after his PTSD attack.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is also remarkable how these expressions are really similar to another (queer) villain of Joey: Wilbur Cross. Wilbur in Made In America and this waiter has a really similar body language. Coincidence? I don't think so.
If it was only Eyes On the Prize II though, I wouldn't be thinking that much about this... But waiter #4 is one of the three waiters with lines in that scene (the other two being Brian's and Lauren's), so let see what he does.
Joey's waiter first talks when Curt loses it and threatens the Informant, quickly jumping to defend them. Joey's character reacts almost immediately, so he must have been nearby, and is so aggressive that Curt backs down quickly. After threatening Curt with throwing him out of the Casino, he checks the Informant to see if they are okay.
Tumblr media
The subs call this character "Manager", and it would thus explain the way he acts: he was nearby because he's in charge of everything that's going on, and he does have the power to expel costumers if they act inadequately. A manager also spends a lot of time with his employees, so it makes sense that he's protective with them.
Why then, is the next character Joey plays also called "Manager"?
Tumblr media
This character (that, according to the subs, is the same person) has a foreign accent, something none of the other waiters had, and a silly high-pitched voice. His purpose in this scene is to finish humiliating Curt: he tells Curt he has an immense debt for the night and also rebounds his check. The manager is cordial to Tatiana, greeting her while Curt struggles with his payment. He also leaves once Tatiana suggests a solution, and, in a lower voice (similar to no moustache!Manager) says "thank you, ma'am".
Why are these two characters technically the same role? One may think it's because other actors need to be prepared for a quick change or something, but Tessa doesn't! Her next role is ensemble in Not So Bad, and they have a good 3-4 minutes until that. And if they are supposed to be different characters, why would the subtitles use the same name for him? Joey's choices also seem to be stage directions, especially in the coreo. There are too many details for it to be simply a coincidence.
What's the reason, then? Joey is playing Owen at the casino: after his first encounter during A1P3, Owen is on alert knowing that he might cross path with Curt again. He thus decides to go undercover in the casino to see if he'll meet him before attending to Von Nazi's plan. Owen wants to be close, but remain unseen, so he plays one of the waiters of the floor. However, when Curt threatens the Informant, Owen's feelings betray him and quickly intervenes, probably triggered by Curt "brutish ways". After that, Owen has to return with a new role (moustache), as he wants to know where Tati and Curt are leaving. He thus takes advantage of Curt's state to mess a little with him, a little bit of foreplay before what he has prepared for him.
TL; DR:
Tumblr media
This also provokes so many fun little headcanons and possibilities. Like, did the Informant and Owen had a relationship then? Would Tatiana have noticed it? Does Owen really think Curt is stupid enough to not recognize someone just by a different voice and a stupid accent? I think it could give way to a lot of fun ideas (but also I do need to know why did they have Joey twice and not Joey and Tessa)

I watched I Saw the TV Glow today and half the people in the theater were audibly confused when it ended. I knew it wasn’t going to have a clear narrative like half an hour in but I wasn’t expecting that much ambiguity. I would have thought it might be a fourth wall-breaking fakeout if the theater lights hadn’t come on. But I liked it.
They should have cast a young Maddy. The adult actors did fine as teens opposite each other, whatever, suspension of disbelief. But the vibes of a near-thirty year old woman interacting with an actual child were super weird for the first few scenes. Threw off their chemistry.
I had a weird relationship to the nostalgia/genre pastiche because I never saw any of the Nickelodeon shows being referenced, but I immediately caught the Buffy allusions. So it was like… the safer and more childish the show became, the less it made sense to me.
The choice of “Tara” as a name for Maddy’s counterpart was very interesting beyond her being Amber Benson’s character on Buffy. Tara was the Scoobie who was best at coping with real life. She could grieve healthily and walk away from a bad relationship and be a stable supportive adult for a recently orphaned young teen. And she also (arguably) perma-died a bullshit shock value death. Tara was also renowned for being one of the earliest serious lesbian characters on TV, along with Willow, with whom she shared a long-term textual on-screen relationship. But that just made the betrayal of her sudden murder worse for her fans. Lots of interesting possible implications.
I liked how both the real world and the Pink Opaque world were difficult to take seriously. Maddy and Owen attend “Void High School”, as in, VHS - are you kidding me? And Owen claiming he has his own family he loves very much at the end of the movie… it’s so fake. But “Mr. Melancholy”? could you get any more “the villain is a metaphor for being depressed”? And Maddy’s inability to describe it as returning to the real world, instead insisting on the “season six” terminology, and the way the mythological figures flipped on the constellations when she started talking about how she returned to being Tara… lady, you are not making your case very convincingly. I mean come on.
Well either way Owen is definitely not doing great!!! :( has anyone submitted Owen to that “could transition save her” blog yet

★ agent curt mega
A sad headcanon for Curt [sorry I don't know how coherent this is gonna be]
I think Curt loves his mother very much, and he knows she adores him, but being around her is also pretty painful for him. It's exhausting for him.
She worked so hard to keep them afloat as a single mother during the great depression, so he has a lot of respect for her, but at the same time because she was always working Curt often felt very lonely as a kid, and it doesn't matter if he understands it rationally, some emotional part of him still resents her for it. He already felt unwanted by the father who abandoned him, and that was just sort of subconsciously reinforced by his mother never being there (and then making up for it by being Way Too Involved when she was there)
They don't know each other very well, even though she always tried her best to dote on him whenever she could. Mrs. Mega obviously doesn't know her son is gay, and she worries constantly that he is like his father, who in her eyes could never commit to anyone or anything, who was selfish and petty and could be cruel without reason.
She's worried that growing up without a father, growing up with a single mom who had no choice but to work all the time, must have broken something in Curt- the part of him that could ever settle down and live a happy married life. That must be why he isn't married yet, right? So she's eager to get Curt married off to prove to herself that doing what she had to do didn't have lifelong negative ramifications for the son she loves so much.
But Curt doesn't know that so much of why Mrs. Mega wants him to settle down is rooted in her own insecurities about being a working mother, so it has the effect of constantly making him feel like he's inadequate, a bad son, a bad everything. Curt tries to make his mom proud of him by being a hero, saving the world, being a spy, because he sure as hell can't give her the one thing she seems to want from him- for him to settle down with a nice girl and have a nice normal life.
When Owen "dies" those feelings of guilt and self-loathing just get amplified, because Curt has now failed the two people he loves most. He couldn't give his mother the son she wanted, but at least when he had Owen he had someone who really knew him, who understood and accepted him as he was, so it blunted his guilt over not being able to please his mom. After he loses Owen, there's a period where he has to stay with Mrs. Mega because he can't care for himself very well at that point. But he leaves a lot earlier than he probably should have because every time she brings up him settling down he remembers that the one person he could ever maybe possibly want to settle down with is dead, and it is his fault.
So he doesn't visit his mom very often. He doesn't call or write very often, because despite loving her and respecting what she did for them, her insistence on him living a life he isn't built for is a constant reminder of his own perceived failures.

Well, hello! It's nice to see an active total drama writer in here! I love this show so much and the fandom is like dead 💀
So, I had this idea...
It could be headcanons or a fic/one-shot, whatever you feel like the most!
But, what about the reaction to the TDWT crew to Chris bringing his niece with him?? Like, the reader is just a sweet 19 y/o teenager who looks for their safety and actually cares about them??? (Total contrary to his uncle lmao).
It doesn't have to be with one character specifically, most like how they would react overall to the reader wanting to protect them from Chris (AND PLEASE MAKE THE READER PROTECT CODY FROM SIERRA I BEG U)
Anyways, have a nice day!!! <3
~~~The Nice McLean~~~
I fucking love Total Drama!! I firmly believe Leshawna should've won the first season. I'll try to add my least favorite characters from World Tour to avoid being biased.
Warnings: Chris McLean, Sierra's stalker behavior, attempted manipulation from Alejandro, Duncan being kind of an ass, does Cody being a crybaby count? I'm making it count.
Pronouns: They/Them
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Alright contestants I have another surprise for you." Chris looked at the tired teens. From behind Chef came another teen. They smiled and waved to the other teens.
"Another contestant?" A few questioned simultaneously.
"Oh hell no. Their mother would kill me." Chris slung his arm around them and tugged them close. "This here is -Y/N- McLean, my nibling."
"Heya," their smile got bigger "I hope we can get along."
Everyone was too shocked to speak for a moment. Sierra was trying so hard not to flip her shit. Chris McLean's nibling was actually in front of her.
"So you're related to Chris?" Harold finally asked.
"Yeah. My mom is his sister." -Y/N- answered truthfully.
"Think of -Y/N- as a co-host. Another Chris of sorts." The older man smirked. "They'll keep an eye on you famous wannabes while I can't."
First of all we'll get the obvious out of the way, the cast fucking love you, after getting to know you. Obviously at first learning you're related to the devil host, Chris McLean, they immediately thought this season would be twice as torturous. But give them a couple of days or weeks and most of them would willingly jump from the plane for you. The others may take some time.
I'll start with the ones that take no time in becoming your fans:
Cody: for him the moment he saw you give a genuine smile was when he trusted you. Having dealt with Chris's shit for so long made him aware of a real and fake smile. Also when you demand Sierra leave him alone? Oh yeah he likes you even more now. Expect a lot of clinging, as much as he can, crying for one reason or another mostly Sierra and excessive praise for the small things.
Lindsay: my sweetheart, so pretty so.....not traditionally smart. She saw you looking super nice in your outfit and that was it. Anyone with fashion choices as good as yours are definitely trustworthy. Please become shopping buddies after the show is over.
Owen: this big lug. He really tries to see the good in everyone. More often than not he's wrong. But he's genuinely happy he's right about you.
Sierra: she knew about you before anyone else. Obviously she's going to trust you from the get go. You're related to THE Chris McLean. That trust may or may not waver...TBD. Either way watch yourself around her. Keep a close eye on your belongings.
The neutral ones who need a bit more time are:
Noah: he just doesn't trust easily. Take no offense to it. I think only Owen was lucky enough, being an actual giant ball of sunshine and stupidity. Perhaps if you sneak him some Noah-Safe food he'll trust you faster.
Gwen: poor girl has been scorned by the world so often. It's left her with a few trust issues. Maybe stick up for her and watch some good horror movies together. Reassurance is the key, she was painted as a bad guy from the beginning. Let her know she's more than that and it's okay to admit she did wrong. Help her move past that.
Leshawna: this bad bitch (lovingly) knows her worth. She wants to make sure others know it as well. Don't talk down to her and hype up her plans and ideas and she'll consider you worth her time and respect. Also keep Alejandro away from her. Please. My queen deserves better.
DJ: he's a softie and a Mama's boy. He does want to trust you. But after his failed restaurant with his Mama it might take some time. People in power never helped him or his Mama. In fact he wonders if they were sabotaged. Help him find ways to "reverse his curse" and he'll definitely trust you, also maybe offer his Mama a job as a chef, especially if it's a higher position in a private kitchen.
The ones who just straight up dislike you and take a long time to like you are:
Alejandro: his family caused him so much trauma. He doesn't trust ANYONE. He may act like it, nodding to your advice and being nice. But alas tis all a front. He's really just waiting for the perfect moment to betray you. When that time comes and goes and you're still nice to him? Yeah....you may have started chipping away at his walls.
Heather: the queen bee. The head of every group project. Highschool taught her to look out for herself. So did the first two seasons of Total Drama. She'll bitch at you and talk shit about you "behind" your back. Just brush it off and continue being nice and you'll win her over, eventually.
Courtney: the Type A Psychotic Crazies and debate team caused Courtney to believe only Courtney can help Courtney. She'll refuse to trust you and judges those who do. In fact it's not until she's kicked off will she finally trust you. Maybe meet up after the show and talk to her, she'll apologize to you and own up to her wrongdoings.
Duncan: the runaway delinquent. The hardass he is doesn't trust you, purely because of your last name. Chris ruined his life, more than he himself could have. Being stalked no matter where he went for 2 years put him on edge. Abolish Chris's stupid "must always sing" rule and his opinion on you might change.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hopefully this works. I didn't know what to do for most of it. I was winging it big time.
Hi, I'm curious what is your opinion on Owen not doing promo and his radio silence?
Imo, it's very suspicious. Radio silence, no interviews, not even in the assembled episode, no Critics Choice nomination (Sophia got nominated but not him???), literally no one acknowledges him but Tom. Only he talks about Owen and Mobius. He has a very important role in Loki, yet they act like he doesn't exist and that Mobius has no influence on who Loki becomes. His fantastic performance is ignored. I don't think they're afraid of Owen spoiling something. It's something more serious. I genuinely think that Disney/Marvel are doing him dirty. There might be bad blood between them and I'm worried we'll never see Mobius again.
Honestly, I'm not too worried about it and wouldn't read too much into it.
There was a strike going on after all, and he's a busy guy, so I'm guessing he just "moved on" from it. Doesn't mean he doesn't care or has beef with disney (but I mean, don't we all have beef with disney?). Maybe he's also just not that big of an interview guy and the mcu is a big deal, and maybe it's overwhelming, who knows. He seems like a private guy as far as I'm aware.
Also, it's not just Tom talking about Owen! A lot of the cast does, Eric Martin himself said that Owen Wilson got robbed by not getting a nomination. I don't think there's anything bad going on behind the scenes.
They don't act like he doesn't exist, everyone's making sure that people know that Loki and Mobius are the heart of the show. And they all adore Owen! Tom especially, of course.
I'm pretty sure we'll see him again! The radio silence might just be a personal choice.
it-is-i-zim replied to your ask post: This is just my opinion but Ostrander's revamp of him was the worst thing thing to happen to him character wise. Fans of Boomerang are sometimes straight up harassed for what Ostrander did to his character. Like on one hand, one of the reasons why he was on the suicide squad for so long and we see him AT ALL is because of Ostrander but I'm sick of being called racist because of how my guy was written by Ostrander.
it-is-i-zim replied to your ask post: Identity Crisis was bad for Digger still though. It also made me kinda dislike Tim Drake fans but I also get that for ages their only exposure to Boomer was that comic. And the Knight Terrors: Robin comic bringing that comic back into the established canon did no favors either seeing that it was through the eyes of someone who wasn’t even there. An artistic choice for sure, but it’s also made Tim Drake fans feral about how AWFUL Digger is.
Unfortunately this is more of a fan problem than a writing one. I definitely sympathize with people who love pre-Crisis Digger but hate his post-Crisis self, because modern Digger can be a lot. But people being jerks to other fans because of it is 100% a problem with fandom, and it's got to stop. There's nothing wrong with liking problematic characters as long as you're honest about their flaws, because they aren't real people and they haven't actually hurt anyone real…and just because you like them doesn't mean you approve of everything they do.
It's also fine for people to dislike a character or avoid other fans if they make you uncomfortable for any reason, but it shouldn't get to the point of mistreating a real person over fictional stories and liking/disliking fictional things.
(To make things extremely personal for a moment, it took me over 25 years to figure out why I gravitate to unpopular villains: it was only once I understood that I was the family scapegoat that I realized I like unpopular villains because I'd been considered one/treated like one my entire life. People can have their reasons for liking villains and problematic characters that have nothing to do with the shittiest thing(s) the character(s) have done.)
it-is-i-zim replied to your ask post: And with Owen, arguably his worst characterization was in that one Supergirl comic where he tried to get with a 15 year old Supergirl while being established as an adult man and was like, “I’m not a creep” but then on the same page also called her “jailbait” which uh… Gross. I must say I’m not fond of him because of that and therefore didn’t mind the kinda bad revamp back in Suicide Squad (2016) #47
The question was "the most common way they're written badly", and while that was weird and creepy, it was thankfully just a brief anomaly in the Supergirl book (that's why his strange Rebirth revamp didn't get my pick; it was just one story). I found Owen's intelligence and skill level varied wildly throughout his appearances, and sometimes he was competent and sometimes he was a clueless dumbass. He seemed reasonably smart in his debut story, so IMO him being an idiot was the primary example of being written badly.
it-is-i-zim replied to your ask post: Sorry that my thoughts are kinda all over the place on the Captain Boomerangs.
That's completely okay, it's why we're all here! :)
parkakingrolo replied to your ask post: I'm gonna go a little against the grain on Lisa, and say some of her other characterizations I'm not too fond of are when she's now the moral compass, and I agree The Rogues should have a stronger one, but forcing it on Lisa feels awkward. Don't get me started on when she hinted at feelings for Barry too. Maybe it's just two extremes and they struggle for a healthy middle.
Yeah, that's fair. That one's a problem too, though the one I mentioned bothers me more so I guess that's why I went with it. Truthfully I think both versions are manifestations of sexist beliefs about women, one benevolent ("women are morally better than men") and one misogynist ("women are crazy bitches, especially ex-girlfriends" -- and on that note, I really hate what was done to Magenta by Waid and Johns. She should have been included on the previous list).
It would be good if DC strove for some middle ground between the two, because Lisa should be flawed but not constantly jonesing to slash people's faces.
One of the things I like best about the second half of Season 7 -- one of the few things I like about it at all, if I'm being honest -- is the fact it lets Buffy accept that she's still growing up and figuring out who she is as a person.  "I'm not finished becoming whoever the hell it is I'm gonna turn out to be", as she tells Angel in Chosen.  She doesn't have to have all the answers, she doesn't have to be defined by the choices and mistakes she made when she was a miserable and lonely teenage girl, she doesn't have to have found a perfect relationship or future life partner before her twenty-third birthday.
The show ends with Dawn asking Buffy what they're going to do now that she isn't the singular Chosen One, and she doesn't offer an answer because she doesn't know yet!  "That's kind of the point," as she also told Angel earlier.
I think that's a really good and emotionally satisfying place to end the series on -- with Buffy finally free of the destiny that she's been forced into ever since we met her, not because she's been forced to stop being a Slayer or because she’s sacrificed herself to save the world, but because she's no longer The Slayer but merely one of many.  The story of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is over, but the story of Buffy Summers has just begun.  Who knows what will happen next?
It's why I've never been at all tempted to read the post-Season 7 comics, because there's no way that they -- or anyone -- can better that ending. By definition, a future of infinite possibilities is better than any concrete suggestion.  (Also, yes, lots of the specific details I've heard about the comics make them sound pretty bad anyway, that's also a factor.)
It's also why I think it's kind of pointless to spend time arguing that Buffy definitely would or wouldn't end up in a relationship of some particular type, with somebody she knew before she was old enough to graduate college.  Maybe she does get back together with Angel or Riley or Spike.  Maybe she finally realizes she's attracted to Faith, or to Willow, or somebody else she met before the show ended. (Maybe Owen Thurman is still alive.)  Maybe she meets somebody new. Maybe they get married, maybe they don't.  Maybe they have kids, or adopt, and maybe they don't.  Maybe Buffy decides she's happier single. Maybe she doesn't get to have the sort of romantic relationship she'd want at all; maybe other things get in the way.
Some of those possible futures sound like happier endings to me than others, and some seem more in keeping with the direction I'd like to imagine the story going if the show had continued.  But anyone who tries to argue that they know which of those things would or wouldn't happen because they know what the sixteen or nineteen, or twenty-one year old Buffy would have wanted is, I think, not being serious.  The show itself explicitly rejects this idea. Even though her mother's death has forced her to take on more adult responsibilities, Buffy herself is still growing up.   We don't know what will happen to her a year, or five years, or ten years after Chosen.  We don't know what she'll want, we don't know who she'll be.  Buffy herself doesn't know that, so how could we possibly know?
As Buffy said, that's kind of the point!
You said that according to you there is a way to make Mileven stay together and have all the characters have a good arc at the end of the show. Could you develop that? cause in my opinion if Mike's arc is about falling in love , changing his personality after meeting a girl and at the end being the protective paladin to "fix" his bad behaviour then it's really bad writing (coming from a straight person)
I'm going to be completely honest here, which I hope is what you want lol, I do think I say this (sans the "good arcs" part bc I don't think I've ever said that there's a way to make Mileven happen where all the characters have good arcs) to more-or-less make myself feel better bc I have so much Byler doubt (& Mike love) so yeah, take this as you will, this is just what my brain has come up with as an arc(?) I could mostly cope with. I mean, there's a reason I put "(mostly) happy" but yes, I'll try to expand.
I love Mike and I have a feeling I will continue to love Mike whether Mileven or Byler is endgame. This is purely because I do not believe Mike is a bad person or bad character just bc he's made some bad decisions/said some things he (canonically) regrets. I don't think Mike would be a protective paladin to simply "fix" his "bad behavior". While I do agree that this wouldn't be the best writing choice, I think, in-context, he would be trying his best to keep everyone he loves alive. He is an extremely traumatized teenage boy whose biggest fear is losing those he loves. He has been smack-dab in the middle of the action until s4. Finn Wolfhard himself has said Mike is depressed and pushing everyone away bc of it.
Anyways, all of this to say that I don't think it'd be too farfetched to say all of his "bad behavior" is simply untreated trauma symptoms. And yes, you could say something about other characters being traumatized and them not acting like Mike, but trauma, and this is a fact, effects everyone differently. One person may lean into their life before going through said trauma, like Will in s3, while another may block it out, like it's shown with El in s4, and another may completely change themselves while being stuck in a loop of wanting those he loves close to him but also wanting to keep them at a distance bc he is so terrified of losing them. Dr. Owens even says in s2 that a sign of PTSD is change in personality and lashing out, which we see both in Mike. Plus all the parallels bt him and Max in s4, it's safe to say this boy is struggling mentally.
I do think it would make sense, when we finally get Mike's POV in s5, for a lot of his controversial moments to be fueled by his mental health struggle. Now, do I think this is an excuse? Not necessarily, but it does make sense, and as far as I know, anytime Mike's actively made anyone upset he's apologetic (like I said earlier, lashing out). I believe that if the show solely focuses on Mike's mental health issues, then Mileven wouldn't be out of the question.
I do want to add that this is not how I want the story to go, I would much rather his story go the Byler route, but I've said before that his character is not solely dependent on either Byler or Mileven, and I still stand by that. He should not simply be seen as a 'romantic interest' character bc he is more than that and he has his own problems (that we aren't necessarily shown) that have nothing to do with who he's in a romantic relationship with.
Now, again, this is probably mostly just something I've convinced myself I'd be alright with, but I am aware that this in and of itself would be boring and not very good writing. I also do not know, in this case, what would happen on the Byler side of things, this why I say "(mostly)". I am fully a Byler shipper and would prefer Byler endgame to anything really, but I'm a Mike-stan first and foremost.
Sorry if this wasn't too clear, I feel like I just rambled and repeated myself a lot. Thanks for the ask, though! And pls if you or anyone else has questions about anything I said, pls ask me! Trust me, I know this isn't foolproof and I'm probably just dumb 😂
TLDR: I think it's possible they could go more towards untreated PTSD and trauma/mental health related route for Mike in a way that would make Mileven possible. Doesn't mean I'd think it's necessarily good writing, but I could see it going that way.
Can you make an imagine pls? the imagine takes place in three parts.
So, fem!reader is owen's younger sister and part of the WFL group. Not by choice, tho. She just has to follow her brother anywhere he goes because he is responsible for her since their parents died. She's also the yongest of the group (they are in their early/mid/late tweenties while reader is 17) she's pretty much the peter parker of the group, so she feels unheard sometimes around them. She doesn't even like being in the WFL, she's not allowed to do patrols yet but she also doesn't want to, simply because she can't relate to the thing (and god forbid working for isaac). She goes on the journey to hunt joel with them. And that's when the first scene takes place: they're almost getting to wyoming, they're temporarily in an aquarium in some town and Joel notices reader is on a floor above theirs, away from them. He gets there and she's looking outside the window, headphones on and pensative. He asks what's wrong. You will elaborate this conversation way better than me, but basically Owen starts to sense she's not too excited about this journey to joel miller and she kind of acuses him of not being too and just doing it because of abby. She let's out her frustration in seeing him never making his own decisions, even bringing up the fact that he doesn't even want to be in the WFL but is too cowardly to admit it. He denies, and says he knows what his doing for both of them even tho she doesn't understand him now because she's too young to get. She brushes him off like "whatever, owen."
The second scene takes place when Abby is beating the fuck out of joel. Reader is watching everything from some corner even tho they all said she wasn't alowed to be in the room to see. She's hating all this. She doesn't really give a fuck about this man but his screams of agony makes something so uncomfortable in her. She feels scared. When ellie comes to the room is when everything changes. She sees ellie and she recognizes what ellie is feeling: reader lost her (and owen's) parents, saw them get murdered so quickly she couldn't do anything. So she does a step no one was waiting: she takes a gun, points to abby and tells her to stop. She even points to her own head, saying she's going to shoot herself if abby don't stop go back to seattle. She convinces them (after lots of shouting) and they all go. She stays. She's the one who tries to wake up ellie too and check on joel.
The third scene takes place after months. She's still in jackson. You can decide which one of the main characters is warming up to her faster and the ones who are taking longer, because of what happened. Joel is still starting to walk since the incident and after months being in a wheelchair, and he hasn't had time to talk to reader for too long since it all happened, but he can't help but notices she always seems unconfortable when he is around. One day he spots her somewhere calm in town and tries to talk to her. After some talk, she asks if he blames her for what happenedz that she would blame herself too. That she can notice some people in town still look at her differently because they know what happened. She also reveals that her group wouldn't also accept her back anyway, that they're probably mad and think she's a coward. And joel talks to her like "coward? You rebelled against your group and your own brother to do what you thought was right, I was there I saw it. That doesn't seem coward, kid. And if your people don't see that way... then you can stay here, jackson ain't that bad. The people are nosy as hell, but they will warm up to you, just give them time." (of course he says it on his own gruff way).
Now I Get It… | Owen’s sister turning on Abby to save Joel
Pairing: Owen Moore x fem!reader (siblings)
Warnings: Gun, Joel being beaten up, blackmailing with suicide
The Aquarium Confrontation
The aquarium was silent, except for the occasional drip of water and the muted sounds of the sea life beyond the glass. You stood on the upper floor, staring out at the overcast sky through a grimy window, headphones firmly over your ears. The music was a welcome escape from the tense atmosphere that had been hanging over your group since you left Seattle. Owen and the others were downstairs, likely planning the next step in the mission you wanted no part of.
Your thoughts were interrupted when the door creaked open, and you turned to see Owen stepping into the room. His expression was a mix of concern and frustration as he approached you.
“What’s going on with you?” he asked, his voice carrying the weight of unspoken questions. “You’ve been distant, and it’s not just today.”
You pulled off your headphones, letting them hang around your neck. “I’m not excited about this,” you admitted, crossing your arms. “Any of it.”
Owen frowned, clearly not expecting such honesty. “Why not? We’re finally close to getting justice for what happened to Dad.”
You scoffed, unable to contain your frustration any longer. “You mean Abby’s dad. It’s about Abby, and you know it. You’re just following her like a damn puppy, doing whatever she wants without even thinking about whether it’s the right thing to do.”
His eyes narrowed, a flicker of anger crossing his face. “You don’t understand, Y/N. I’m doing this for us—for the WLF.”
“No, you’re doing this because you’re too scared to stand up to Abby,” you shot back. “You don’t even want to be in the WLF, Owen. You’ve never wanted to be part of this, but you won’t admit it.”
Owen’s jaw tightened, and he glanced away, unable to meet your gaze. “You’re too young to get it,” he muttered, frustration evident in his tone. “I know what I’m doing. You just don’t understand because you’re a kid.”
“Whatever, Owen,” you said dismissively, turning away from him. His words stung, but you couldn’t find it in yourself to care anymore. The brother you had once looked up to was now just another person who didn’t listen, who didn’t care enough to understand.
The Confrontation
The cold concrete of the room felt suffocating as you watched Abby’s rage unfold in front of you. Joel’s agonized screams echoed in your ears, even though they turned into weak groans by now, and you hugged your knees to your chest, trying to stay hidden in the corner where no one could see you. You weren’t supposed to be here, weren’t supposed to witness the brutal revenge that was Abby’s sole focus. But you had to see it—to understand why this was happening and why you felt so wrong about all of it.
When Ellie burst into the room, everything changed. The look of sheer horror and pain on her face mirrored your own. You knew that look—the look of someone who had lost everything in the blink of an eye. The memories of your parents’ murder flooded back, the helplessness, the rage, the grief. You couldn’t let this happen again, not to someone else.
Your hands trembled as you reached for the gun tucked into your waistband. The weight of it was unfamiliar, heavy with the responsibility it carried. You stood up slowly, your voice shaking as you shouted, “Abby, s- stop!”
“Y/N put the gun down” Abby said suprisingly gently, when she recovered from her suprise as just like others she didn’t see you there, as she tried to reason with you, but you didn’t listen.
The room fell silent, all eyes turning to you in shock. You stepped forward, pointing the gun at Abby, your heart pounding in your chest. “If you don’t stop, I’ll do it. I’ll- I’ll shoot myself.”
The words felt foreign on your tongue, but you meant them. You were willing to do whatever it took to end this nightmare. Abby’s eyes widened, and she hesitated, glancing back at Joel, who was barely conscious on the floor.
“Y/N, what the hell are you doing?” Owen’s voice was panicked, but you ignored him, your focus solely on Abby.
“Go back to Seattle,” you demanded, voice cracking under the pressure. “This isn’t going to bring anyone back. Just stop.”
After what felt like an eternity, Abby lowered her weapon, her anger replaced with a mix of confusion and regret.
Abby’s gaze lingered on you for a moment before saying, “We’re done here” then she turned and walked out of the room, leaving you standing there, gun still in hand, as your brother and the others followed her out.
Once they were gone, you rushed to Ellie’s side, gently shaking her. “Hey, it’s okay…” you whispered, trying to reassure her, but backed up when she flinched away. You checked on Joel, who was barely clinging to life, and for the first time, you felt a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, you had done the right thing.
The Conversation
Months had passed since that day in the cabin, and you had found a new home in Jackson. Dina and Jesse had warmed up to you quickly, understanding that you had been just as much a victim of circumstance as anyone else. But Ellie was different—distant and cold whenever you were around. It hurt more than you wanted to admit, but you couldn’t blame her. After all, you had been part of the group that took away her family.
Joel was still recovering, slowly regaining his strength and mobility after months of being confined to a wheelchair. You saw him around town often, but the sight of him always made you uncomfortable, a heavy guilt settling in your chest whenever he was near.
One day, while you were sitting alone in a quiet corner of the town, Joel approached you. You tensed, unsure of what to expect. He took a seat beside you, letting out a small grunt as he adjusted his leg brace.
“Mind if I join you?” he asked, his voice gruff but not unkind.
You shook your head, unable to meet his gaze. “No, it’s fine.”
For a while, neither of you spoke, the silence stretching between you. Finally, Joel broke the silence. “You’ve been avoiding me.”
You winced, feeling exposed. “I just… I didn’t know what to say.”
He nodded, as if he understood. “You don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to, but I’ve been wantin’ to talk to you for a while now.”
You swallowed, your hands fidgeting in your lap. “Do you… do you blame me for what happened?”
Joel looked at you, his gaze steady and unwavering. “Blame you? No, I don’t.”
“But… I was part of the group that did that to you,” you said, your voice breaking. “If I were you, I’d blame me too.”
Joel shook his head slowly. “You rebelled against your own brother and your group to do what you thought was right. I saw it happen.”
You bit your lip, fighting back the tears that threatened to spill over. “But they hate me now. The people in Jackson, they know what happened, and my old group—they probably think I’m a coward.”
“Coward?” Joel repeated, a hint of disbelief in his voice. “If your people don’t see that you did what was right, then you’re better off without ‘em. And as for Jackson… folks here are nosy as hell, but they’ll warm up to you. Just give ‘em time.”
His words brought a small sense of comfort, a warmth that you hadn’t felt in a long time. You nodded, finally meeting his eyes. “Thank you, Joel.”
He gave you a small, reassuring smile. “Ain’t nothin’. You’re part of this town now, whether you like it or not. And if anyone’s got a problem with that, they’ll have to answer to me.”
For the first time since you arrived in Jackson, you felt like you had a place here—a place where you could heal and move forward. And maybe, just maybe, you weren’t as alone as you thought.
thinking about the difference in how tarlos display avoidance tendencies ~
now with the full trailer pointing to ideas of the timeline and events, parts of this probably read somewhat hollow
Carlos is a more obvious participant of joking to make light of tense situations, but TK is better at hiding and discreetly diverting from the things he doesn't wanna talk about, while often going completely unnoticed. Carlos has instances where he withholds information out of fears of inadequacy, but TK is more avoidant for this very same reason. We know from how he broke up with Carlos to how he wasn't open to talk about their relationship when they were undefined boyfriends; he's in the police station after being arrested for reckless endangerment to get him out of his numb feelings and he's avoidant in ways that lend to him waiting to complete his will. [*cue TK saying he can't do his will, because it's a mind game that protects him from actually dying **excuses** in 3x18]. That station scene is the beginning of them becoming deeper, and Carlos is picking up on TK's habits after he walks out of the dinner that to him seems harmless and not a big deal to get upset over.
TK avoids conversations and is uncommunicative, particularly early on in the series. This is why that joke goes over well when Carlos is "making light" with TK after his fight, because TK tends to steer away from the serious stuff at that point and the joking is something less-heavy (something that he can't typically do with his dad about this subject from the fear of worrying him over his wellbeing). He needs something to remove the weight from his shoulders after he's just made a big move and is struggling with multiple different life changes. He wants something uncomplicated and easygoing that won't be too much for his emotions to handle, hence why he's so against the idea of a relationship. Carlos has to meet him where he's at of something less serious and take it much slower when he was clearly ready to jump into the relationship at the proposal of a meal. TK's mode at this point in the series is to not talk and to figure out his emotions as he goes along [he's very internal, a thinking that remains with him throughout the series (ex. his proposals, very seemingly his parents' divorce, his mom's death, and how he handled the breakup by not talking about it with Nancy)].
TK was very accustomed to hiding or keeping things bottled up. This is a big reason why the 3x13 fight has such weight for Carlos wanting TK to open up and give him "all of his pieces" that he perceives to have not been given yet.
Tumblr media
The only people who really catch on, separate from the team, in one-on-one moments are Nancy and Judd. (Nancy tells Carlos that him not talking about the breakup means he's too hurt by it; Judd acts like a big brother in moments where he checks TK on his exterior walls and they see before the rest of the team where the other is masking the truth a lot of the time.
In 3x08, TK keeps quiet in that scene on the bed and Owen is relatively shocked to find him in the ambulance cabinets. But Carlos picks up on his unresponsiveness then, and a lot of the time can sense when he's off; the other side of where they get somewhere in their openness comes like in 3x13, where Carlos treads lightly when TK willingly brings up his own grief (and then changes the subject in discomfort from his feelings).
On the other hand, Carlos is a bad liar. Outside of just keeping the 4x01 information to himself and possibly with the exception of work situations where he may need to (now, with the detective angle), Carlos has some obvious tells. We know when he's avoiding talking about things like the unprompted parent meeting and people on screen can tell where his mind is going and if his honest characteristics are taking center stage (such as in serious discussions with TK or even before he makes the field choice in "Bad Call"). TK calls him out on his deflection tactics in differing circumstances from the kids conversation to worrying how he's truly doing after the house fire. Carlos resorts to making jokes about a situation in his personal life, but isn't great at covering up what he really truly feels about it (and why he doesn't want to discuss it).
So, in regards to their respective grief for their parents ahead of season 5, I'm thinking of the comparisons of their default modes, how they've reacted in the past, and how this could inform the storytelling, particularly with Carlos now in this position of recent grief... Again in 3x08 TK is closed off in his feeling of helplessness. Carlos is a bit of a different situation given Gabriel's death was a murder, and his typical reaction in his helplessness is to solve the problem to try to regain control. Generally speaking, Carlos more often downplays the emotions that arise in situations rather than just keeping to himself about them altogether. With grief, they both lose control in their own ways after keeping things bottled up. And while the aftermaths of their parent's death are similar, how they outwardly handle their grief has differences that put the root causes for their responsive tendencies on display. TK chooses to pretend and act like he's fine most of the time in stress, while Carlos deflects in many different scenarios, but he isn't good at acting. That's why TK can pick up on Carlos' spiral immediately in 4x18 (and from his own experience of being on the other side). I could make a whole 'nother post on this, but their upbringings could lend to informing these habits immensely; TK: child of divorce/ Owen being absent sometimes, addict -> tries to cover up how he feels/doesn't rush to address things, esp if it involves hiding out for the benefit of someone else's concern ...Carlos: doesn't remember a good relationship with his dad; tried coming out unsuccessfully, parents not mentioning for years; also multiple sibling household -> doesn't always feel he can express his feelings/worries for how one may react to personal feelings and that it could alter things to not being accepted...
So with this in mind for season 5, when Carlos is asked how he's coping with Gabriel's death, he is most likely going to deflect; in past in various situations and including Gwyn's death, TK has tried to avoid. I know that Carlos is likely to go full detective on his dad's murder, and throw himself deep into the mystery, so I'm expecting him to breakdown at some point and TK to be right there for the breakthrough. Compare TK's default of coping to Carlos' reflex: TK worries about other people's feelings to the point where he is concerned that Carlos' first visit to New York is ruined. Carlos worries that postponing the wedding is too big of a ask despite him being in a very fresh period of grief. These differences in their reactions reminds me and portrays exactly what an anaysis says about TK thinking he's too much vs Carlos worrying that he's not enough. TK lies about how he feels for the concern of others and thinking his emotions are too big for people to handle; and Carlos deflects, because he doesn't think his feelings matter, nor know how to deal with them.
Thinking about Curt's drinking problems... again
I wonder how bad they were pre fall. Of course they were definitely there, he drinks on the job in the first scene and plays it off as a joke when Owen tells him to stop because they're working. I wouldn't be surprised if for most of his life he did think of them as a joke, that they weren't that bad and that he could stop when he needed to. Or maybe he did know how bad they were and simply didn't care because they hadn't negativity affected his life too much up to that point. This is a guy with a nonexistent support system, the only person he really trusts and confides in is Owen, whom he doesn't see often and who's also his partner. I think a lot of Curt's problems in life come from his relationship with Owen. The fear of being found out, the ever-present internalized homophobia I'm sure he's mostly gotten over and yet still remains in the back of his mind, the inability to talk to anyone about Owen because then they're caught. Is Tatiana the only one he's told? Is she the only one he'll ever tell? You could make the case of Cynthia knowing but I don't think she'd ever bring it up and I don't see a reason for Curt to ever tell her, she'd just be making a guess on it and ends up being right. For all their flirting during missions, they're also flirting around people who they're going to kill, they can cover their tracks. If someone does survive then I don't think their first goal would be to tell ASS and MI6 their agents were flirting with each other because they shot said person in the leg. Curt only has Owen to talk to about Owen, but how much is he actually going to tell him? How emotionally close were they actually? Did Curt want to just spill his guts out to him? Would Owen has retained that information? Would it have been helpful for Curt at all? Drinking helps Curt cope; it helps him drown the bad feelings farther down inside of him and he hoped they'd eventually just disappear. It's so sad to know that when Owen falls, Curt just goes into drinking. Would it have been that bad if Owen died in any other way? If Owen randomly got shot one day on a mission Curt wasn't even there for, would it have been as bad of an outcome for Curt as him leaving Owen to die? Would it have hurt just the same or most if that were to happen because Curt couldn't have done anything to save him? Curt had a choice with the fall, it's entirely out of his control if Owen randomly gets shot. Personally, I think it wouldn't hurt as much, because Curt can't really beat himself up over Owen dying on a mission Curt wasn't even on. Curt made the choice to leave Owen, that's what made him spiral. How many nights do you think he lay awake at night, empty glasses of alcohol scattered around his room as he stared at the ceiling, trying to think of scenarios where he doesn't kill Owen. Where he makes the right decision and goes after him, or doesn't set the timer for 3 minutes, or doesn't put the banana down, or doesn't get caught in the first place? Hours and hours of thinking, hundreds of scenarios made until he passes out from exhaustion, gripping that leather jacker for comfort, holding it close to his chest in desperation as he tries to sooth himself enough to where maybe it won't hurt as much, hoping maybe one day the alcohol will numb him enough to where he doesn't lie awake at night thinking of different worlds where he didn't fuck up so bad, where Owen was still there and they were fine, where no mistakes were made and Owen was saved, and Curt wasn't drowning in regret and another glass of whiskey.
Mahoyaku on Halloween (high on sugar)
Tumblr media
I had only read the first season of the main story so far, so this is completely based off how each character had been perceived by me through that small part of the game, as well as some login stories too~
Idea
Mitile and Riquet asked about fun festivals and events from the Sage's world, that's when Halloween was brought up. The duo went and bugged Figaro and Mithra for days after that and so they're celebrating Halloween in the middle of June... Arthur heard about the idea and was fond of it since it can help the Sage feel more at home. They do understand their longing feelings to go home after all.
Now screw that normal stuff, chaos underneath.
Tumblr media
Owen's ego gets destroyed
No, please, he just wants to have sweet stuff...
Sage: Halloween? Oh! People dress up in scary customers then go from houses to houses to scare others and get sweets~ <---- the reason why Owen is interested (it's called Trick or Treating by the way~ ♪)
Owen: Humans fear at the sight of me, I don't need a costume.
Arthur: You need a costume so people won't be scared to approach you.
Owen: Then what's the fun of that? I want to see the sheer horrified expression on their fa-
Arthur: If no one approaches you, you can't get chocolate.
Owen: I ca-
Arthur: No stealing.
Owen, now willingly puts on the costume:
Arthur got that ozthority
Grandpas, hoho, what are you talking about?
They blended right in with the kids you can't tell me otherwise. Heathcliff, Mitile, Riquet and Faust (too tired to notice) fell for their disguise and really thought they were just genuine children asking for candies. This went on until Bradley called out their mischief.
Bradley: Oi you grandpas, what are ya doing actin’ all scared n’ then askin’ for treats?
White: Looks like we have been caught, Snow…
Snow: Hoho… this wouldn't do.
The twins start to cling onto Bradley and attempt to steal his candies instead.
Bradley: No、 get off me ya ジジ!Those are for the kids!
Snow: We are kids~
White: Yes, we're kids~
Mithra being a babysitter is common knowledge so I'll make it more unhinged + he's forced to socialise
Christmas? Crisis?? Charcoal?????
Mithra, to a kid: Do you know if you're a naughty kid, you'll get charcoal instead of candies on Horror Where?
Mithra, offers the kid some charcoal:
Kid,visibly confused: ???
Rutile: Mithra, I think that is for Crisis, not Hollow What.
Mithra: Oh… really?
Mithra, turns back to the kid: The demons will find you and replace your candies with charcoal. (Probably picked it up from Snow and White's weird topics)
Rutile: Mithra, I think that's Satan (Santa), not demons.
The kid ran away at the end.  Mithra would probably also dress up as some lazy ghost in bed sheets. Not those ragged white clothes, it's literally his blanket. (He wants sleep.) (Sage, please run, he's trying to find you and hug you so he can sleep.) Off topic HC: Rutile and Mithra always get holiday names wrong
Tumblr media
Bunny babies
Arthur talks about how he wanted to be a bunny boy when he was a kid and dressed up as a lil bunny boy for Halloween (I read this somewhere but I forgot whose HC it was ;;) He convinced Oz to join him so they can be father and son bunbuns. It took a lot of nagging, begging, convincing…
Ozzyyyy bunnnyyyyy and Artie
Mainly looked over the stall the Eastern Wizards had put up in the market since the Easterners preferred to stay at one place (except Shino, he went around flexing on other kids) Oz was a little embarrassed at first, seeing how ‘playful’ he looked with those clearly visibly, fluffy bunny ears and it's little tail. When Arthur saw how Oz was getting bored (he feels bad), he approached Nero and made him teach Oz how to make cotton candy. Nero panik. Nero rejected at first but had no other choice. He got the hang of it really quick. First, make some magic sugar stars, insert it into the centre of the machine, then the colourful powder… swirl the stick around and… done!
Kid 2: Oh…! The cotton candy made by the bunny tastes better than the pirate’s!
Nero: Oi you litt-
Oz: subtle smile in hapi
Arthur obviously organised this whole thing mainly with the help of the Sage. Most of the time Arthur is in charge of keeping everything in control but the Sage said they will take care of it so he can have some fun too. He’s so precious, took this chance to do some un-princely stuff and act more chaotic. Those include: scaring his subordinates, having a little excessive candy, Uncle Vincent might’ve been a victim too and he tried to scare Oz, it did not work. Although his childish mischievous self may be out, he nonetheless still dislikes nightmares so—he was pretty easy to mess with too. Arthur himself was fine with this fun, Oz though. Oh he was not having any of it, you can see it in his eyes that he wants to protect Arthur even though it was harmless.
Owen pt 2
Loves how busy it is and definitely found himself a few delights from the dark, scary atmosphere. The constant laugher does tick him off though but for chocolate, he can endure.
All of the Northern Wizards as well as everyone else in the manor agreed to let him be the ‘non-older wizard’ (aka set him free to join the kids) just in case he decides that this town should be no town. Well paid actor
Adult figure, giving him a few sweets: Your costume looks so cool, ya even got eye contacts on?!! That's amazing!
Owen, creepily smiles under his hat but it all seems like natural acting: =)
Adult figure, continues to spoil him with chocolates: Super in-character. Love it!
Owen: walks away satisfied
Of course that idiot would thank NO ONE and thinks he deserves whatever they give him Also he's wearing an even more authentic pilot uniform but in black
Most loved Knight—Cain
Kids swarm towards him the entire night, even the knights of the Central Kingdom who Arthur asked to join the little festival all came to him and offered... alcohol??? (Miscommunication 101) Definitely ended up in some cabin by the end of the Halloween night after giving out all of the candies he had on him, now drunk… At one point in the night, he thought he was actually being haunted by ghosts due to his injury from the Calamity. "Master Sage... Master Sage...? I can hear your voice but I can't see you nor feel you nearby..." You enjoyed the colours that drained his face before tackling him down. Seldomly, Cain would check up on both Arthur and the Sage (making sure Owen won’t mess around with the Sage).
Tumblr media
Nero's baking and candy making~ ft. Bradley foolery
Actually made most of the sweets for the ‘older wizards’ to give out to the kids in town and extras for Mitile and Riquet. Initially, he refused to join the banter but then again, the kids won't stop bugging him too… Nero is the lead that took responsibility as well as suggesting the sweets stall in the central market. It was also his first time making sweets from the Sage’s world too and found it fascinating. Time to time, Bradley would help out when Oz is on break (obvious reasons). Whenever he gets the chance, he will lie to the kids saying the red cotton candy is made out of some magic beast’s organs or something twisting, and the purple is threaded from their brains. Nero does not approve: bonks him.
Bradley: Yo it's darker out than usual. Those stinky grandpas are busy too, I’ma go steal some stuff, you keep yer eye’ out for me, alright’?
Nero, who's clearly tired already from all of this: don’t go n’ do something stupid. Look, the kid’s grandparents r judgin’ ya already.
Bradley, who has a soft spot: God damnit.
C'mon at first look Shino definitely is the grim reaper
At the same time, I want to see Shino running around as that masked guy from spirited away. A lil midget chasing down the citizens of the neighbourhood. I'm sorry.  He would use his actual scythe as a prop. At first, Snow and White disapproved since it would be dangerous but: “It's dark out in the night and everybody's in masks, if anything happened to Heath I can quickly jump into defence.” Thus, here he is, showing it off to all of the kids in the market. Shino is very proud of it. (Still kept an eye on Heathcliff though.)
HEATHCLIFF AHHAHAHA
Isn’t enjoying any of this at all. Too many surprises, scary noises, eerie valleys and stalls decorated in weird bugs, spiders, ghosts, scarecrows. Sure, he enjoys tinkering with machines but NOT THOSE??? As much as he refused to join them, he did at the end since he didn’t like the idea of being alone in the manor too. Shino tries his best to prevent Heathcliff falling victim to the pranksters despite telling him how he's “disappointed”, deep down he’s quite worried.
Shino: Why don’t you dress up like a Grim Reaper with me? You know, you won’t get scared if they can’t even find the courage to come near you.
Heath: You might be right…
Shino: We’re going to look so cool!
They proceeded with this idea… at the venue: Heathcliff, in fact, got called angel of death (just sounds a little more elegant than grim reaper in my head). The duo started a crowd by accident and Shino took all of the opportunity he could to grow his fame while Heath talked to those little curious ones at the side. Shino would butt in and say something prideful for Heathcliff and get their awes. Heathcliff mainly stayed out of the pranking due to Shino, not because of his costume. Aww yes guys when you're at the end of the life line, Heath will magically show up, bridal carry you to the other side of the river <3 NOW YOU ALL BETTER SAY HAIL HEATHCLIFF SAMA - Shino, probably
Faust is a tsuntsun
He doesn't want to be here. He hates it. He wants home. Even after rejecting the Central Wizards' requests for 12 days straight, he showed up bringing the most candies and even wore a little cat headband that Heathcliff gave to him because he said "I do not own a costume for an occasion as bizarre as this". While tending the stall, he found himself happy and invested crafting sugar paintings (畫糖) for the little ones. He would take their requests and draw it on the spot for them. Faust secretly practised the art in his room using his magic hehe so now he’s pretty skillful~ Maybe he would’ve even carved a few apples too.
Figaro papa :>
That one father who's super supportive of everything. He'd help out Chloe a lot with the making of the costumes. Partially, just partially also because he can choose the design. The cat hairband was his idea and simply asked Heathcliff to give it to Faust knowing he wouldn't accept it if he knew Figaro is the mailer. Figaro dressed up as a plushie protector for Halloween. He's a prideful frontline fighter than protects your plushies, pillows, little things you call your loved ones when you're deep asleep in the night. At the end of the month, he pulls out his 'non-branded, non-sponsored germs killer spray' and cleans them up for you. Figaro is no more than your plushie guardian.
Tumblr media
RUSTICAAAAAAAHHHHHHH RUNNNN
You know damn well he's still terrorising pedestrians, except now he does it looking even more handsome. 100% asked Chloe if he can dress up as “My bride's groom” or “My wife's husband”
So he now got a zombie-like tuxedo on…~ definitely pleased every woman he found to be his eye candy. Sage told him about the ring pop proposal thing so now he brought some around and started asking pretty ladies to be his fiancé of the night. (Chloe forbids him from caging people) Yes, Nero made them.
Chloe carried the event
He made everyone's costumes! Gets mistaken as a kid when he's out being the ‘older wizards’ role and giving out candies. Honestly, he doesn't mind. Not only would he give out sweets, he would probably wrap it in custom wrappers he had sewn some wrappers too kind of like a souvenir. Like a handkerchief wrapped around the candies with a ribbon? I'm not sure how to describe it. I'm not sure what he would dress up as for Halloween to be honest, searched up some ideas and Alice in Wonderland would kind of be a theme he'd go for… not sure!
Murrrreaaww- woof woof! grr “mom im scared”
Even after the event Murr still wears the costume Chloe made for him inside the manor. Yes, he's a cat. Yes, it has fluffy ears and a tail. Yes, the Sage (me) asked Chloe to make it a dog since he barks too. Yes, he barks in his cat costume.  At the event, Murr went and meowed at little kids, using magic to make candies materialise in the air. He's basically the light of the whole thing, setting off orange fireworks in the air ever so often. When he's bored though, he does go and trick some children by turning their candies into flowers. He does turn it back, don't worry~
Shylock just needs to give out some unconditional love
Due to his long term interactions with lustful adults and their constant high demands and desires, interacting with the harmless, pure children somehow warmed his heart. Shylock was more gentle and softer, when a youngin requested him to do something he would happily do it for them. Whether it be magic or asking if they could touch his costume. Meanwhile, the Sage (us) are judging and recalling all the times he made the Sage BEG. Of course he noticed and made the Sage a drink after the event.  Murr stuck around too and teased Shylock from time to time about how the kids can easily sway his feelings. When it comes to playing tricks, he simply hid mentos in cokes. The panic in their eyes kept him entertained throughout the night. (let's pretend that exists there) Shylock chose to dress up as a fox. Hearing how the Sage described their depicted behaviours applied on humans, he thinks that he'd be suitable.
Tumblr media
Lennox being a true baby
“Why don't you dress up like a shepherd?” - Faust, probably. “What do you mean, Faust様?” “You don't look like one.” Determined Leno face. (In my opinion, he looks like a soldier at passtime.) Also when he forced himself to smile during Halloween he got praised (it was scary), but he thought the people were cheering him on for his charming smile (it is charming too).
Ruchiru & Michiru
Rutile made at least 20 kids pronounce "Halloween" as something that's not "Halloween", the Sage tried to fix the damage but it has been done. This is "mixer 2.0".
Like Cain, Rutile is welcomed by the children! One of their other favorites. Soon did join Cain in the cabin and the reason how that knight got back to the manor.
Now, the Southerners aren't ones to play tricks on people but in an occasion like this, they couldn't pass up now, could they? Mitile hiding behind Leno then jumps out throwing candy looking pedals at peoples face, just wholesome...
If you made it here, thanks for reading!~ ☆
(Very Late) Tag Game Tuesday: 911 Lone Star Edition
Ok so technically I was tagged by the wonderful @lemonlyman-dotcom last Tuesday but unfortunately real life got away from me and I have only just got the chance to respond! So without further ado, here is my contribution to this delightful tag game.
When did you first start watching Lone Star? Who or what introduced you to the show?
So I actually started watching the show back when it first aired. I had watched some of OG 911 and while I didn't dislike it, it just never really caught my attention. So when I found out there was a spinoff with Rob Lowe (who I was first introduced to through The Outsiders movie) I was intrigued. So I watched the pilot when it first aired and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. For me, it was the relationship between TK and Owen that really got my attention but I was also very interested in the potential between the firefighter's son and the hot cop who asked him to dance. I didn't really start being active in the fandom though until after s3 because I was already involved in another fandom at the time and I've always preferred to limit myself to 1-2 fandoms max.
Which season is your favorite?
It's a tough choice so I'm going to cheat and say s3 and s4 both are currently my favorites. I just love how much insight we get on all the characters in those seasons and the way the stories are fleshed out in a way that the first two seasons weren't able to do.
Who is your favorite character? (Bonus: If you answered TK or Carlos, who is your favorite besides them?)
Since it is impossible for me to choose between TK and Carlos, I will say Marjan. As a Muslim woman, I love getting to see a Muslim woman who is badass, smart yet also flawed and vulnerable on screen.
Top five episodes. Go!
This is very, very hard but if I had to pick off the top of my head:
1x03
2x08
3x08
4x16
If you could pick any character to be given a "begins" episode, who would it be and what would that episode look like?
I'm not sure I want a "begins" type episode actually. One thing I really like about LS is that instead of giving us one episode that just gives us a character's entire backstory, we learn about them slowly. We have learned about all the characters over the course of 4 seasons but there is still a lot about them we don't know and I would rather continue to learn slowly. Instead, I'll say I would like an outsider pov style episode where the 126 + Carlos keep running into this one person on scenes (kind of like that man with anger issues in 3x16) and we get to see the group dynamics through that person's eyes. What do they think when they see one of the paramedics perfom firefighter tasks? Or when they recognize Firefox? Or when they hear the firefighter captain make a comment about how bad something is for their skin/hair? What do they make of the cop and the paramedic making eyes at each other constantly?
What is a scenario or storyline that you would like to see in season 5?
I'd like to see some non-serious moments for Tarlos. I get that there needs to be drama and I love the drama but let the drama be an external one. And I just want some light-hearted scenes where they're bickering over feeding Lou 2 and Carlos doesn't want to touch the crickets while TK feels bad about using the crickets as food. Or their plumbing breaks down and Carlos refuses to hire a plumber because he is A Man and can fix it himself but he has never actually fixed a sink before and can't understand the instructions while TK is fondly exasperated by his stubborn husband and also very turned on from watching Carlos in a tanktop all sweaty with tools in his hands.
What do you think is going on in this still?
Either Carlos has gotten new information about his dad's killer or it has something to do with TK learning about what happened with his uncle Robert.
We all know about the elusive 5x05 spicy scene that has been teased, so what is your prediction for how it could possibly top 1x02?
Now I personally found the 2x12 scene spicier because of the intimacy but I guess 1x02 was spicier in the sense that there was a lot more of the sexual stuff. So to top it, I'd like to see Carlos pick TK up (bridal style or over his shoulder, I'm not picky!), throw him onto the bed, TK instinctively putting his hands up and Carlos grabs them and they devour each others mouths.
Where was the Tarlos honeymoon in your mind?
It looks like they are someplace tropical so I imagine them in one of the Florida Keys. Maybe Key West which is a tropical place but it also has a town which I think both TK and Carlos would like. They can lie by the pool during the day and explore the town during the evenings before heading back to their resort for the night.
Shoutout one of your favorite fan creations.
I am in awe of how talented this fandom is in so many different ways and it is so difficult for me to pick just one. I will say that this piece of artwork by @whatsintheboxmh which is for this lovely fic by @nancys-braids is one that I enjoy just looking at because the peace and calm that it evokes. I so want to see this in the show.
Since I am so late to the party, I'm not sure who has already done this and who hasn't so I will leave this an open tag and invite anyone who would like to participate to join in!
Light in the Darkness (4)
Abby Anderson X Fem!Reader, College AU, Part 4
Since part three was so short I am double posting, so when there is a small journal entry or “thought” chapter then there will usually be a double post because the content was so short.
But I’m not promising anything.
Chapter 4–> Line Without a Hook, Ricky Montgomery, Week 12
Lyrics: “All my emotions feel like explosions when you are around
And I’ve found a way to kill the sound.”
Fuck Max, Tatum, and Bailey. Not literally, but figuratively. Why? Because now you’re in a small club with way too loud music, way too many flashing lights, and way too much of the smell of alcohol induced vomit that could very well be touching every nook and cranny of this hell hole. Of course, you did say yes, so it was partly your fault.
But you were still overstimulated, about ready to explode with anxiety. Tatum was already on the dance floor, dragging Max along behind her. Max was Tatum’s designated ‘gay’ best friend. They’ve always clicked, it’s like they share the same brain.
Bailey was with you, sitting at the bar. She wasn’t drinking, having been the next designated driver in the trio’s rotation. You offered to drive, but they all declined. Maybe it’s because you never went to bars or clubs with them, which was fine. They’ve never been your scene. But Max begged you to go, he felt bad because he thought you felt left out. Even though you explained that you didn’t feel left out, you said you’d go with them tonight.
“You good?” Bailey asked, leaning close to you so you could hear her over the music. Shrugging, you turn to look at the dance floor. There were a lot of people pressed close together, grinding, making out. You couldn’t find Max or Tatum anymore, but someone else caught your eye.
Owen, Abby’s ex-boyfriend. He was making his way through the crowd, stopping to grind on an unsuspecting woman. It was weird, maybe disgusting. Definitely disgusting. You had a weird feeling about him, even when you were bitching at him because of the Red Bull.
“I’m going out onto the floor,” Bailey said, catching your attention.
Nodding, you watch Bailey blend into the crowd. Turning back to the bar, you pulled out your phone. Pinterest seemed to be a good app to get your mind off of the club, cats being your choice of obsession.
“Hey, you’re Abby’s lab partner, right?” A voice too close to your ear caused you to flinch, scaring you from looking at a bright orange picture of a cat.
Turning your head, you saw a dark-skinned girl sitting on the stool next to you. Her body faced the crowd of sweaty college students, but her face was towards you.
“Yeah,” You frown, “Why?” Does Abby talk about you? You would probably be brought up because of her project, but hopefully nothing else would be brought up.
Abby’s friend widened her eyes, “Oh, she didn’t say anything bad, I promise.” She looked as if she let out some horrible secret, her deep brown eyes shifting away. “I’m Nora, I’d like to say I’m Abby’s best friend.”
You raised an eyebrow, not sure why she would approach you out of nowhere. Let alone at a club, and without Abby near. She already knew your name, which was weird considering Abby barely talked about her friends.
“Nice to meet you, is Abby here with you?” You ask, not trying to show your suspicion. It seemed to work, Nora visibly relaxing as she hummed, looking around the crowd.
“She is,” Nora said, “ She arrived a couple hours ago.”
Nodding, you bit your lip, “You brought Owen too?” You couldn’t hide the slight disgust tinting your voice.
Nora sighed, “He’s like the Scott Disick of our group.”
“God he looks like it.”
Nora smirked at your comment, then she pointed at the crowd, “There she is.” You follow the direction of her finger to see Abby. She was dancing with Owen, not seductively, more like she was trying to get away. Nora turned towards you, “I’m going to join them, hope to see you again.” She hopped off the stool, slightly jogging over to her two friends.
After Nora left, the music seemed to have gotten louder. It pounded through your skull, causing a fog in your brain. Looking around for a bathroom, you sighed in relief when you found one. It wasn’t too far away, just on the other side of the bar.
Making your way over, you cupped your hands over your ears to try to muffle the bass. You pushed the door open, surprised at how small the bathroom was. There were two small stalls on your right, a dingy light bulb flickering above your head. Both stalls were occupied, so you walked to the far side of the room, leaning your back against the wall.
As cramped as the room felt, it did muffle the music enough for you to gather our thoughts. You pulled your phone out again, going back to the pictures of cats to distract you from your anxiety. One of the stall doors opened, and you glanced up to see a woman with smeared lipstick and disheveled hair stagger out. She glanced at you, but then turned to pull the door open.
As she pulled the door, she kind of stumbled backwards. Someone was on the other side, pushing the door open. The girl caught herself, cussing as she held onto the stall door behind her. The other girl, who was pushing the door open, apologized, appearing as she walked in.
Abby was the other girl, peering at the drunken one hanging onto the stall door. The drunk girl stood up, glaring up at Abby. She pushed her way past the blonde, calling her a “sightless whore,” as the door closed behind her.
The blonde shook her head, turning away from the door to see you. Her hair was in her signature braid, some stands having fallen out, they were framing her face. Her cheeks were flushed, probably from the hot air from the outside, probably from the alcohol she’s consumed. Her blue eyes were blown wide, pupils almost overtaking her irises. She was wearing a cut-off black tee paired with green cargo pants and brown combat boots.
“Hey,” Abby murmured, a slur hinting at how drunk she may be. If she was blacked out, she definitely hid it well in front of you.
Giving a half-wave, you smile, “Didn’t think I’d see you here.”
“In the bathroom?”
“Sure, we could say that,” You laugh, noticing the light dust of pink overshadowing the flushness of her cheeks.
Abby frowned, looking around the dingy bathroom. “Do you want to get out of here?” She asked, placing a hand on the back of her head.
“I didn’t drive.”
The blonde pulled out a set of keys, “I did, but I need a driver.”
With a quick text to Max, you decided to drive Abby to your dorm. You didn’t really have a choice, Abby, having been more drunk than you anticipated, passed out in the passenger's seat as soon as you both got into her car.
The drive back to your dorm was brief. What wasn’t easy was trying to get Abby to stand up to get to the building’s elevator.
The girl was heavy, leaning on you as the elevator rose to the third floor. Abby didn’t smell entirely of alcohol, hints of cedar coming through. Her hair smelled of Pantene, which made some sense. Abby seems like the type to stare at the shampoos, remember Selena liked Pantene, and decide to go with that one.
The elevator doors opened, forcing you to hoist Abby further onto your shoulder as you practically dragged her.
“For how muscular you are, you sure as hell ain’t using any of them,” You grumble, half-dragging the blonde. Thankfully, your dorm wasn’t too far from the elevator, and you made it with minimal casualties. The only one being Abby’s hair tie, which you decided to hate as you vowed never to go back to save it.
Sliding your key card, you push the door open. Abby seemed to have gained a bit of control of her legs, kind of helping you out as you made your way to the couch. Your energy was depleting quickly at the sight of the couch, running on fumes as you dropped her onto it. She landed face first, and if anything hurt, she didn’t show it. Your muscles that were previously screaming at you, seemed relieved as you hunched over.
Turning, you went back to close your door and turn on the main lights. You and Max bought nightlights for the dorm, having both not liking how dark the rooms could get.
Abby grumbled, catching your attention as you made your way back to the couch. She turned over onto her back, blinking languidly. You crouch, taking her boots off.
“Where am I?” She asked as you finished getting her boots off.
You sat on the floor, leaning your back against the couch. Abby dragged herself into a sitting position, rubbing her eyes. She looked confused as she looked around, when her eyes met your face she seemed to have realized where she was. Her name left your lips, but nothing else.
“What?” You ask, staring at her ruffled hair that was quickly falling out of its braid.
Drearily, Abby patted the cushion beside her, “Sit with me.”
Standing up, you sat beside her, turning to face her. She was looking at you, back slightly hunched. You leaned forward, propping your elbows up onto your knees as you rested your head onto your hands.
“You’re so pretty,” Abby murmured, a hand slowly reaching up to touch your cheek.
She was drunk, she didn't know what she was doing. The heat that rose to your cheeks was embarrassing, a direct reaction to her touching you and her compliment. She was drunk, she couldn't be in the right state of mind. Abby leaned forward though, and you didn’t lean away. She was a couple inches now from your face. She had to be able to hear your heart racing, the loud thumping pounding in your ears.
“I mean it,” Abby whispered. “You’re so pretty.” Time slowed down as she leaned closer, her lips bridging the gap as she kissed you. Her lips weren’t chapped, having a minty taste to them. Abby kissed lightly, as if questioning you.
The blonde pulled away, suddenly looking sick. She leaned forward again, but this time not to kiss you. Instead, she puked onto your lap.
Using The Sims 4 Genetics To Make TD Kid OCs (This was a mistake) *Part 1*
Title says all.
I used the Sims 4 Genetic System to make TD kid OCs. Why?
I don’t flipping know.
So I have Sims of TD characters. Not all. But I did this cause why not. And I regret my choices cause some of these kids… ugh.
I did a girl AND a boy to make things even. And I randomized their names so… idk someone on the Internet finds this and used these A.I generated characters as OCs.
I really don’t care if you do.
So let’s do this…
Oh, and if you want to suggest a ship I do this with, leave it in the reply or reblog of this post.
Owen & Izzy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So these are my sims of these characters. So you know what they look like.
My Izzy Sim’s got abs. That’s canon, right?
So let’s see what Sims Genetics came up with…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OH NO…
I already hate it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their faces are just… NOT that appealing…
I mean Owen and Izzy aren’t TRADITIONALLY ‘pretty’ people. Still.
Why is the boy so muscular? Where did he get that from?
I think their outfits are suitable though. They both got the white going on, and the girls shirt looks like something Izzy would wear.
Izzy seems to have the dominant genes when it comes to hair. They both became redheads.
The face structure just ruins it for me.
I randomized it; The girls name is Madison. The boys name is Elias.
You know, I can see that.
Owen & Justin
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since Owen canonically had a crush on Justin, I’m including it. It’s not a popular ship but since we’re here.
I’m wondering if the kids of Justin would look good.
Let’s see…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OH MY-
Okay.
I swear this was randomized.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The girl. 10/10
I LOVE this Sim’s look. Idk where she got blue hair from. But I LOVE her look. I love the jewelry, I love that it matches, I love her outfit, she’s really pretty.
She looks like a legit Total Drama character design.
10/10 look for this girl.
The boy is… okay. Could’ve been a lot worse. I can see he inherited Owen’s messy hairstyle. I actually think the blue eyes look great for him. He loses me on body proportions.
I expected the Owen kids to be on the chubbier side, but no.
The girl is Kyra. The boy is Brady.
…make as many Beth jokes as you want.
Owen & Noah
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nowen Stan’s. Here we go. You me, we gotta do this one.
I’m a little worried cause they’re so different in appearance…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OH NO…
I hate it.
Why is the boy a punk?!?!?
Sims really said. “Owen and Noah, yeah they’d have a punk bad boy kid”
There are several bad boy characters, game. Why?!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why are their noses so big?!
I don’t understand.
I don’t like it.
I guess on paper if I were to readjust them, they’d work. But randomized… the noses just ruin it. They’re too distracting.
Girl is Jacklyn. Boy is Stewart.
Gwen & Trent
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We gotta do Gwen & Trent. We gotta.
Personally I love my Gwen Sim. I think this is just such a good design and I’m proud of myself for it.
I apologize for Trent though… that’s my bad. I made the sims.
Which are also all on the gallery in the Total Drama hashtag of the game if you want to use them. I have ones for the first gen and the 2023 gen.
So I’m worried this kids are gonna look bad…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SPLIT. Huge split.
UUUUUUHHH
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The boy. Uh…
Game. TRENT is the father, right????
I think you got the wrong one in mind…
He doesn’t look that bad, it’s just… I can’t not think of Gwuncan with this one. And this is supposed to be the Gwent kid.
The girl on the other hand. I love her.
She looks a bit like Heather
BUT I still love it. This is a near PERFECT outfit. I love the braid in her hair. She’s really pretty.
She looks like a legit Total Drama character.
I might keep this sim and use her. She’s fantastic.
I don’t see a lot of Gwen in these though. They look like Heather and Duncan and not Gwen. I mean I guess they inherited her skin tone but that’s it. I guess it would be hard cause she’s a goth style character.
Girl is Hana. (That’s pretty). Boy is Daniel.
Gwen & Cody
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hate the ship. But that’s not the point here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They both look good though?!
They MATCH in outfit?!
The girl has black on?! And makeup?!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They’re both pretty?!
I like that the boy has glasses. That just fits idk. Their hairstyles are really nice.
There’s legit character here.
I hate the ship they came from, but they’re really good.
Girl is Victoria. Boy is Henry.
*Will Be Continued*
