Yes you come to this site for fun but you also have to understand that places where people commune alot of information is gonna hold some uncomfortable discussions sometimes because uncomfortable things happen and if you'd rather stick your head in the sand, be my guest but you absolutely cannot get mad the next time someone shows you indifference to your own struggling.

me, 30 minutes ago: its 1 am and i should sleep <3
me, immediately after: refreshes tumblr, decidedly does not go to sleep
#i say this like its funny haha#but tbh it is mostly because i am so fucking. Devastated about the horrible shit happening to palestinians#i saw so many videos and pictures today of such horrible things that they’re suffering through right now#and im seeing it through a screen from my safe little bubble in my house and its still destroying me emotionally and mentally#i cant imagine the fear and horror they must be feeling in gaza#and the fact that they have probably felt this fear and horror for a very long time because of israel’s ethnic cleansing of their people#im in such a privileged position and the least i can do is spread awareness and i donated what i could and i have plans to reach out to my l#local government and encourage them to speak up and condemn the genocide of palestine and im looking for local protests and shit like#im gonna do what i can but i know i cant do enough as just a singular individual with low social impact and not a lot of money#but i’ll still do what i can no matter what#i wouldnt be able to live with myself knowing i sat back and said nothing while the palestinians suffered so much#which honestly i already did because i wasn’t educated about it prior to this past week and thats entirely my fault#i mean partially i know its western civilization not showing the horrors that israel has committed but i try to stay in the loop on things#and try to be aware of things happening in the world and i failed to become aware of this before now#i could have been doing more for years to try and spread awareness for palestine and i never did and i wish i could go back and change that#but i cant#but what i CAN do is speak up now that i know and spread awareness and refuse to let palestine go down without a fight#sorry this is a fandom sideblog i know ive been posting a lot on my main blog and i do need to go to bed and whatever#its just hard to sleep knowing that as i sit here safe and comfortable in my bed there are children families innocent people dying in gaza#and the world is actively and successfully trying to paint palestine as the bad guys#its fucking awful and despicable

"Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim"
It is so much easier to turn a blind eye on human suffering far away from you, it is so much easier to stay silent.
When 2 million humans are suffering nonstop from an oppressive state, it is your duty as a human to care. When it's been happening nonstop for 75 years. Don't fail Palestinians, not when they cant communicate. Be their voice, be a part of the solution not the problem, boycott, speak up, don't let the media trick you into believing it wont work, it will. If it doesn't affect you, they're doing it using your tax money, they're doing it in the money you give, they are killing children. Innocent kids dying and you can stop it. SPEAK UP!

I’ve just learned of a whole new act of genocide against the Navajo people during the Great Depression from this book I’m reading, “A Short History of the World According To Sheep”.
Around half a century after the majority of the Navajo had originally been forced off their land, with millions dying in a forced trek known as “the Long Walk”, and then *finally* allowed to return, the US Government basically declared “they were keeping too many sheep on their land” (which they were *not*; the Navajo bred a stunning variant of the churro sheep breed despite mass slaughter of their animals at the time of the original 19th century genocidal acts, and their husbandry of the land and their animals was reportedly superb, despite it being pretty arid even then) and, despite ongoing legal challenges, enacted a mass slaughter of these churro herds that had been revived with such love, not to mention 10,000 horses.
This destroyed the economy in the area, left the people on the brink of starvation, and broke the hearts of the Navajo.
The Navajo churro breed of sheep was on the edge of extinction until the 1970s. There are apparently still giant heaps of sheep and horse bones lying in ravines where these poor creatures were slaughtered by federal agents. The Navajo still sing mourning songs about it and all the human deaths that followed.
I’ve never even heard of this before. Not even a whisper of it.
The pointless brutality of doing that during a global economic disaster seems cartoonishly evil. And yet, of course, we know that the cruelty was the *point*.
There have been so many acts of genocide against indigenous Americans that something like this as recently as the 1920s can literally disappear. And now, of course, they are threatened just as fatally, if less directly, by climate change threatening to make the Navajo lands uninhabitable.
I cant help drawing comparisons with the IDF burning Palestinian olive groves. Wanton, pointless destruction of the living beings a culture reveres, nurtures, husbands and depends on is not one of the better-known acts of genocide, but it is both materially and spiritually a very real one.

hello! one thing i have seen is the neutrality stance is that innocent civilians have been getting killed on both sides and that being pro-palestine means that you are “okay” with innocent civilians in isra*l dying as well. i was having a convo with a friend and they basically said i am disgusting for not acknowledging that however i do but how does one discuss that without appearing to be a zionist ? like i know that innocent civilians dying is terrible but when people bring that up as a way to support isr*el i am left confused on what to say as i don’t believe innocent people should die but ik it’s “different”? do u have any resources or response to help with this dilemma?
i think it is totally possible to acknowledge israeli civilians who died and recognize on an interpersonal level peoples grief, and say that the situation israel has created in gaza since the blockade, and in general since 1948 is the driver of violence. if there was no israel there would be no hamas, and they purposefully supported them to detract from support secular communist palestinian movements. you cant talk about this without discussing the larger historic context and if you do then youre not addressing the full picture. on one level this is an argument between ideologies, liberalism and radicalism, and idk how much you can actually convince someone lol. you cant condemn violence on two sides without looking at whos been instigating the violence, and also historically preventing and punishing peaceful protest and literally everything else they could do. a colonial situation is generally marked by violence. its upheld by the presence of the army and their ability to kill indigenous people with impunity, and regardless of how sad it might be to civilian victims families, frequently marked by clashes between settlers and indigenous people. idk if this can directly help you lol but the book black skin white masks by frantz fanon really influenced how i think about this. and how is supporting palestine equivalent to being ok with civilian deaths when a lot of the relatives of people killed in the attack and held hostage have said they dont want the israeli government using this to kill palestinians and justify war. but the israeli government has ignored them and gone ahead with their explicit desire to destroy gaza and complete the nakba, as many of them have said word for word. this article Meet the Hamas Massacre Survivors Opposing Israeli Brutality in Gaza has a bunch of their testimonies. israel is also indiscriminately bombing gaza, where the hostages are, and already have killed a few of them

I just wanna take a moment to make a few points regarding zionists, tlou, and palestine.
No one should stay silent about this, especially not tlou creators, considering that neil druckman has unfortunately managed to incorporate and slip in very controversial and quite frankly--just straight up wrong representations of palestinian people and zionist ideologies in tlou. Heres an explanation to that:link
If you're either fucking ignorant or just living under a rock, (but considering the publicity of the situation at hand, is very unlikely) there is a genocide going on in palestine. If you didn't know, (which is very, VERY unlikely, like i said) you do now. Furthermore; now that we have this in mind, I have seen many people in the tlou fandom continue to post and interact with tlou content during strikes and most the most important of all--not posting or spreading awareness about palestine at ALL. If you are aware of the genocide, speak about it. Theres no fucking excuse to not be doing so. If you are not speaking out, you are a part of the problem.
2. I'm not saying you only have to post about palestine. That's not it at all. What i'm saying is---there can be a balance between posting your own personal content as well as posting and spreading awareness about palestine at the same time. Absolutely everyone can find the time to post about palestine.
3. If you are in the tlou fandom, please educate yourself. It is still okay to like tlou, it is still okay to post about it, to post content, fics, etc. but with that comes the responsibility of knowing the creators wrong doings, and how israeli themes are incorporated into the game. it is always important to clarify that you do not support that part of tlou, which is what I am doing now. Bottom line, separate the art from the artist, seperate the wrong ideologies from the art.
4. Acknowledgement. There might be questions like, "why keep posting about or liking, interacting, or overall just giving publicity to tlou content?" which to that I will explain. It has to be first and foremost that everyone as well as myself continues to acknowledge the fact that tlou was made by a zionist. That is absolutely a fact. And no amount of fics, smut, or shit like that is gonna change that. But people don't LIKE tlou for that. people dont POST tlou content because they want to spread zionist ideology. They simply just post scenarios, fics, or drabbles about their favorite characters from said video game. So posting about tlou and its characters will not benefit zionists or spread their ideology individually (unless they ARE in fact saying that they support it) , nor neil druckman. But what WILL benefit him is buying any more of the games, which please---you should not do. The money goes to a horrible person like him, and that fact should be acknowledged. So continuing to post about characters from tlou like abby, ellie, dina, joel--stuff like that, theres nothing wrong with that. But failing to acknowledge or want to acknowledge that the TLOU creator is problematic, and that neil druckman has included zionist ideology in TLOU, as well as not spreading awareness about palestine when you, yourself, are aware, is what is wrong.
And I really did hope this would go without saying but unfortunately some people cant seem to fucking understand; people are dying. let that sink in. and you're over here worrying about fictional pussy? be so fucking for real. if you're mad about people flooding tlou tags to spread awareness, go cry about it.
If I have said absolutely anything out of line in this, PLEASE let me know. I am always wanting to further educate myself about serious matters like this, so my comments are always open.

obviously these things are not all on the same scale but the compounding of personal, communal, and global events just have me 🫠
- End of Sept my beloved childhood dog had to be put down
- October 7th, Hamas attack
- October 9th, get a call from my dad that he’s flying in because grandma unexpectedly took a downturn
- October 10th, nervously waiting for my dad’s update all day. Finally get it and hear that things are critical but stable. He feels optimistic after talking to the doctor. He was able to talk to her too. She’s too tired in the evening because dialysis is tiring, but I should visit tomorrow.
- October 11th wake up early and can’t go back to sleep. Go get coffee just for something to do. Gets call at 6:58 from my dad and I know it can’t be good. Go to the hospital. See her. Give the doctors permission to start palliative care so she’s more comfortable. Hold her hand. Give her so many forehead kisses. She cant talk, but she tears up when I tell her how much I love her and my future plans. My dad is wearing a stupid fucking pro-cop shirt and I can’t help but be angry about how clueless he is and for adding this stupidity to a day that’s going to be etched into my brain for the rest of my life. Every 15 minutes or so when the nurse checks in, they remind us that there no rush, but we can take her oxygen mask off whenever we are ready. When are we ready? How are we ever ready? We know she doesn’t want to be kept on life support. Are we ready? We know she is experiencing some discomfort all hooked up like that. Are we ready? Let’s wait for one more person to get here. Are we ready? We wish she could tell us what she wanted. Are we ready? After everyone got to say goodbye. I think my partner was the one to finally suggest that it was time and I agreed. Or was it me who said it? My dad was looking for any input. An only child, not wanting to make these decisions alone. I slip into my historic role of eldest daughter, not even much younger than him anymore, knowing a decision is better than no decision. My sister and I each have one of her hands. As soon i can no longer hear her last exhale, the doctor comes in to declare her time of death. People spend different amounts of time after. My sister has to go back to work. My dad stays around, then says he’s going to grab his sweatshirt from his truck, then texts and says he’s going to find somewhere for us to get brunch. I spend about an hour with her after she was gone. Holding her hand, kissing her forehead, rubbing her arm until it’s completely cold. It takes longer than I’d thought. I keep a lock of her hair. It’s hard to leave her bedside. Next time I touch her body it will be pulverized bone that I’m trying to scoop into a locket. My partner and I get brunch with my dad.
This grief is by far the most difficult thing I’ve had to deal with in my life, and I don’t think my life has been particularly easy. She was the source of unconditional love I could depend on in my life. She was only 68 so I took for granted there would be more time. I’m able to cling to knowing that she was ready even if I wasn’t, that she had a peaceful death with people she loved. Meanwhile I’m seeing headlines every day grief multiplied over and over again, learning more about the attack, learning more about the Israeli military response escalating, bombings, bringing more and more death and grief. Violent deaths with last moments that haunt and terrify me. Deaths where the mourners do not get the comfort that I’ve been clinging to. Grieve for Jews and I have people who I consider my peers deciding that this means I’m some sort of right wing nationalist who doesn’t give a shit about Palestinians. Grieve for Palestinians, and people in my community think I’m some sort of self hating jew who believes terrorists attacks are justified. Feeling rejection on multiple fronts when shit is real. Even writing it I can hear a response of “really, feeling rejection is hurting you? People are dying!” And it’s like YES- people dying doesn’t mean that suddenly we no longer experience the human need for connection AND the thing that’s causing this rejection is seeing people’s humanity and CARING ABOUT THOSE DEATHS.
Really I just don’t know how a person can’t see their own grief and pain reflected back again and again in other people.
Don’t really have a point to this aside from the fact that this is definitely warping my brain in new and exciting ways but just shout out to people who are dealing with Major World Events and Major Life Events at the same time time. It sucks ass.

Henlo. I'm case you or any of your moots is still interested in putting out transmascpetewentz receipts:
He shared this trash post of spacelazarwolf of all people talking about how hopeless he is as a usamerican jew because pro-palestine people's reaction of respect to Aaron Bushnell's sacrifice with TEN STRAIGHT REBLOGS in his blog to artificially pump out the notes 🤯
I remember somewhere someone saying TMPW it's the Millhouse of spacelazarwolf and they couldn't be more right
look i don't really need this in my inbox, the shift to being a smut blog was to get away from this endless discourse and drama from an opposing side who seem to be out to be the biggest scumbags on earth. at the end of the day tmpw is a bigot. like, not just in the zionist regard but he hates women, is a misogynist, he reblogs the oxford comma guy, he interacts with terfs and have integrated terf rhetoric into his shit, he's literally the guy with the discord server to harass trans women. the guy called self immolation a Christian thing, ignoring the vast history it has that's very not Christian. the guy cant show anyone respect, hes a liar, and I don't need to keep hearing about how mad he is that anarchists don't want people to die or suffer.
I still am not sure I believe he's real and not a troll. At every moment he has the chance to say the right thing, he doesn't. He mocks the Palestinians dying and he supports terf hate campaigns against trans women. If he is real, then he's genuinely a horrid person who's a danger to women, but whether he's real or not, he's not gonna change and frankly I dont need his every act in my inbox. It's just too much at this point.
transmascpetewentz is a loser, and so he finds comfort with other losers, who continue to support each other's worst beliefs and worst tendencies. Frankly, I just dont care. I hope he withers away in obscurity.

i promise this is a fall out boy blog most of the time its just that there are profound injustices and horrors in this world and being someone who has very little money that has very little purchasing power from a country with very little sway on the world stage that is dying in several ways the best i can do is call for justice and tell the people who think i have something important to say to do something. if you dont mind.
i would appreciate if you bought e sims for palestinians. i would appreciate if you went out to protest and followed organizations like jewish voice for peace and called your senators and donated your time and skill to fundraising and learned about palestinian culture and the history of the region and boycotted organizations specified by bds. this would really mean a lot to me because i cant do most of these things.
sorry if ive been a bummer but i think its more normal to be like. horrified and grieving and angry and generally feeling bad than it is to ignore those feelings in service of normalcy. and i think the real way to deal with those feelings is to confront them head on and decide what youre going to do about it.

Israel IS a fascist, genocidal, colonizer. Zionism is fascism. It’s a country that was built on the same principles of nazism. That’s what the entire country is built on. You cant separate the two. Your defense of Israel makes you complicit, and disgusting as a human being.
Well look, an anon coming mask off and full antisemitism in my ask... It was just a matter of time. Very original with your false equivalence of zionism and nazism, I am so surprised 🙀. Yes, of course, let's go and harass a random Jewish person online who is on the other side of the world and can't do jack shit about the conflict... That helps the cause and it's not antisemitic at all.
I'm not going to go into a tangent on my opinion of the Israel/Palestine conflict because firstly I don't owe it to you or to anyone (no Jewish person does), secondly it is WAY too complicated and intricate to even begin to parse it in a little blog post and thirdly it wouldn't in anyway help the people who are actually dying right now which is what we should all be doing, not sending antisemitic hateful messages to random Jews online.
But before I block and report you anon let me make a couple of things clear, which all were written in the post about my family history that I'm sure sent you my way: I don't support the current Israeli government and I've actually taken action against it which I'm pretty sure YOU anon have not. I've been to protests, I've VOTED against it and I've supported the Israeli Left and the Palestinian people with ACTIONS which most people in this website with their fucking virtue signaling that cannot say. This is just plain old antisemitism just waiting in the wings and calling people good or bad jews...

every single person with an instagram account needs to go follow motaz (@/motaz_azaiza) on there immediately. i wont lie, the videos and pictures he is posting are horrifying. he is showing us dead bodies of children, hands, arms, legs, and torsos ripped violently from the rest of the bodies. hes showing us people with broken bones sticking out of their legs. hes showing us fires. hes showing us collapsed buildings. hes showing us deaths more painful and violent than most of us could ever imagine.
it is so incredibly painful, but we have to watch. watching reporters like bisan (@/wizard_bisan1) are important too, of course, but i think a lot of people are only watching those reports, where, most of the time, its filmed like a (very somber and horrifying) vlog. they show the bombings and atrocities, but not to the same level. accounts like bisan's keep us informed and up to date on the movements and actions of israel and on the suffering of the people moving from place to place because they are constantly being driven further away from their homes, and motaz's show us the horrible aftermath. today alone he showed us dozens of dead and dying bodies, people trapped under rubble, and dismembered body parts flung from the bodies they belonged to. both types are so important to watch, and we cant choose the ones that are "easier" just because we are uncomfortable
its so so important that we see it, all of it. we have to be willing to watch, however horrifying it is, because we cannot allow this event to be erased from history. we cannot turn away out of discomfort when the people of palestine are being forced to live through this.
go follow every palestinian reporter you can find, and then actually watch, all the way through, ANY content they post. they are risking their lives to show us what is happening there (literally, reporters and press and their families have been targeted by the iof for showing us whats really happening), and they deserve to be listened to. if you know of any others, please let me know who and what platform so i can follow them, its so important that we get out news from the source. im only following bisan and motaz rn bc those are the only accounts ive seen, but i know there are more.
dont take your eyes off of palestine. they need us to see whats happening to them

i am still so fucking mad hazbin hotel is number one on trending. you cant wait two fucking days to blorbopost for the strike to be over. you cant look at what is happening in gaza cause a new episode of your favourite tv show dropped. palestinians have every single right to hate every single one of us if you are turning away from their suffering to watch a tv show while dying people plead for basic human necessities and journalists are risking everything to make their voices heard.

I have to do my part and speak up about this so please hear me out.
Im sure at this point, everyone is aware of the Palestine situation and it is absurd people still support Israel. It is no longer about Hamas or religion and mass genocide is being committed.
Infact Israel is using internationally Illegal war tatics that include use of white Phosphorus. The thing is white Phosphorus is extremely flammable and burns the body down to the bone on contact with skin and they are releasing this powder in refugee camps of Palestinian. They are planning on bombing Palestines main hospital aka Shifa Hospital. They have cut off all electricity there. And numerous Airstrikes are being launched.
Have you seen a Palestinian child react to the sound of an normal airplane? They run and hide.
Most of the Population of Gaza is children and most of the people killed are also children.
If you are neutral about this even, then truly there is something wrong with you cuz at this point its not even war and cant be considered as such. One side is a nuclear power with advance military aid and the ability to block off all borders while the other lacks it all?
Its not even just muslims that are targetted, churches in Palestine are also being bombed.
Is it not tragic that a little girl wished death upon herself because her family was killed infront of her? Is it not tragic that parents are carrying their childrens disfigured body parts?
Israel even has been making fake posts to get people to side with them.
All water supply has been cut off and in the next 3 days, Palestinians will be dying from dehydration too.
Please support Palestine cuz there is no more ProPeace, if you are in favor of it then you side with the oppressor. If you dont speak up, you side with the oppressor.
If you all want ill make post on the entire bg and history of this situation. And please reblog so more people see this.
