Happy birthday, Dickie Duck!
On December 18, 1966, the famous Italian artist and writer Romano Scarpa writes and draws a comic called "The Miner's Granddaughter" (or in Italian "Arriva Paperetta Yè-Yè") in which Paperetta Yè-Yè, i.e. Dickie Duck, appears. She is Goldie's granddaughter (not sure if she is Scrooge's granddaughter) and she is an older teenager, very friendly and very active and exciting in many things. Yes, she works as a reporter for Scrooge's brother, Gideon McDuck and his news agency "The Duckburg Chronicle" and in certain situations also works for Brigitta MacBridge (Scrooge's second love besides Goldie). She also goes to high school and college (not sure how old she is, but definitely between 18 and 24) and has female and male friends behind her, such as Beckett, Neptunia, Olympia, Walter, and Aracuan Bird. She is mostly very popular in Brazilian and Italian comics where she is mostly represented. Also, she is a friend of Daisy Duck, Brigitta, Magica and in some cases she is a babysitter for Donald's nephews and Daisy's nieces. In certain comics, Fethry is her boyfriend, while in some comics, Gyro is her boyfriend. She appeared in animation only once, in 1982 as an intro to the Topolino Show created by Romano Scarpa. And now, pictures of her from the beginning until today.
If you love her and her family and friends, feel free to like and reblog this. Happy birthday to you, Dickie!

Is there any Italian love Dickie Duck and why the hate?
Hello!
So, If I understood correctly, the question is whether the Italians like the character of Dickie Duck or hate her (and why).
I must admit that I am not an expert on the matter and I obviously can't know what's the general vibe of the Italians towards Dickie, but I think I can make some deductions.
First of all, Dickie (Paperetta Ye-Ye in Italian) was created by the Italian scenarist Romano Scarpa.
Since then, many Italian artists have been using her in their stories, giving her a more developed personality, friends, professions etc.
Hence, judging by the fact that a) she's an Italian's creation and b) she has been largely adopted by other Italian artists, they surely mustn't hate her.
The product's quantity depends on the demand. In Dickie's case there's a lot of "product" (stories), so there must be "demand" (people who like her).
Now, I haven't heard anything about hate, especially in Italy, but given that I'm not Italian, there wouldn't be a way for me to know.
There are obviously people who don't like the character but that's a phenomenon common in every fandom and I won't go into detail explaining the possible reasons of such hate.
But as you put it, I am not aware of any "Italian Dickie Scandal", unless I am misinformed.
If any Italian reading this wants to share their experience, they are most welcome to do so and I'd hugely appreciate it!
Also, I am tagging @lettheladylead who is the Dickie Duck expert in here and may have a more enlightening answer

More Ducks!
And a tea stain
Tumblr media
My classes at uni have started and I'm basically stress-drawing ducks.
From upper left corner: Gosalyn Mallard, Scrooge McDuck, Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Gladstone Gander, Scroldie, Scrooge McDuck, Webby Vanderquack, Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera, Gandra Dee, Paperetta Ye-ye aka Dickie Duck, Scrooge McDuck, Goldie O'Gilt, Magica De Spell, Huey Dewey and Louie, Della Duck, Gyro Gearloose and Little Helper, Flintheart Glomgold, Barks-like Goldie O'Gilt and Scrooge McDuck.
That's a lot of ducks and a lot of Scrooges. He's just fun to draw I guess.

Duckvember - Irritating, Sticky, Artistic and Manic Duck (Ducks)
And now that Duckvember is slowly coming to an end, let me slowly end in these ways. I have currently drawn three drawings related to the given topics.
The first drawing is related to the Artistic Duck theme. I'm sorry I haven't gotten around to doing any Darkwing Duck villain related stuff, but this thread suits one person in particular. Yes, it's Splatter Phoenix, a great art villain in Darkwing Duck known for stealing artwork and making given paintings come to life with her brushes. Unfortunately, her career was rejected so she started to deal with crime. Yes, unfortunately she is one of those who unfortunately "died" on stage. Although I think that she will definitely come back even stronger than before and that she is the best female villain in Darkwing Duck for me. She was even slated to lead the Fearsome Five instead of Negaduck. Yes, I did a redraw from the Darkwing Duck episode called "A Brush with Oblivion", where Splatter Phoenix (her real name is Melody Amber Phoenix) uses her brush to steal lips from the Mona Lisa at the museum in St. Canard.
The second drawing is about an annoying duck named Bum Bum Ghigno, who acts extremely silly and pulls stunts, but is also Gyro and Donald's best friend. Yes, he appears in Italian comics and the character was created by writer and artist Corrado Mastantuono. Yes, he, Donald, Gyro, and Fethry are involved in chalking and gluing, but what happened was that Bum Bum Ghigho made glue on the papers and Donald and Fethry stuck to the given papers. While Fethry is happy, Donald is unfortunately not, and Gyro Gearloose must find a solution to unstick the simple things.
And the third drawing I drew is Dickie Duck, in my own style. She is Goldie's granddaughter, an older teenager and a grown-up girl, who likes cool things and takes pictures, works for fashion designs and all sorts of jobs. She is also a reporter. She was created by the genius Romano Scarpo and mostly appeared in Italian comics, but later she also appeared in Brazilian comics where she has her own company. She is also often with Donald, Daisy, Scrooge, Gyro and Fethry and is sometimes a babysitter to Donald's nephews and Daisy's nieces. In Italian she is called Paperetta Ye-Ye.
I hope you like these drawings and these characters. If I get around to one more drawing I'll post to finish off this year's Duckvember. I know I haven't gotten around to doing everything about my other favorite duck characters, but I hope to have a chance to do it next year. Who knows. By the way, thanks to everyone for this party this month.

Random DuckTales Thought (Finale Spoilers)
So, does this mean Dickie Duck, or at least one fan interpretation of Dickie Duck, is sort of canon?

Pride and Prejudice (but with ducks, trust me it’s better)
Grab your popcorn guys this is gonna be long, I decided to sum up the whole parody of Pride and Prejudice that was published this year in italian Topolino
here we go,
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE
Art: Stefano Turconi
Texts: Teresa Radice
(aka best duo in comic history)
We start with Jane Austen herself (her duck self to be precise) telling to her friend about her new book with the aforementioned title!
Tumblr media
Then we meet our protagonists!
Tumblr media
The wonderful family Pennet, living in suburban England, with Jane (Paperetta / Dickie Duck) and Elizabeth (Daisy) being the eldest daughters
The family usually hangs out at their neighbour’s, Fethry Bingpap’s lavish parties, with Bingpap and Jane developping mutual feelings
Tumblr media
At the party we also meet Bingpap’s sister Amelia (Magica De Spell) and
Donald Ducky!
Tumblr media
(yes, Donald keeps that look on his face until the very end)
The contrast between the two friends’ characters is very evident
Tumblr media
And here we have Duckcy’s and Elizabeth’s first moment! (boy, everything happens at that party)
Tumblr media
She’s not very impressed and rushes to mock him behind his back
Tumblr media
She can’t avoid him though and the two of them share many moments together while Bingpap courts Jane
Tumblr media
Some weeks later, Jane ends up stranded in Bingpap’s mansion due to the extreme weather and Elizabeth rushes by her side
Duckcy still seems unimpressed
Tumblr media
A visitor soon arrives at the Pennet’s house! He’s Ludwig Picollins, a friend of the rich enterpreneur Scrooge Mc Duck!
Tumblr media
I expected nothing less from you Ludwig!
As if an overqualified professor wasn’t enough, an army stays in Meryton for some while!
Tumblr media
And guess who’s the charming, young soldier...
Tumblr media
Gladstone Gander! (who else guys, who else). He helps financially the girls and takes an interest in Elizabeth
Duckcy is still not impressed (and they also seem to already know each other!)
Tumblr media
We soon find out they are actually cousins, but Gladstone has been cut off from the will by their uncle (I wonder who might that be) due to his bad habit of spending too much
Tumblr media
You think two love interests are enough? NO! Picolling asks for Elizabeth’s hand!
Tumblr media
She refuses him fashionably
Tumblr media
Don’t worry about him though...
Tumblr media
Bingpap throws another party and it’s time for some Elizabeth X Duckcy quality content. For the first time he asks her to dance and ... she accepts! (that’s a first Lizzie)
Tumblr media
During a trip, Picollins presents Elizabeth to his patron, Scrooge Mc Duck!
Tumblr media
At his money bin they also meet...
Gyro Gearloose as the army’s general and Scrooge’s nephew who is ...
*drum roll*
Donald Duckcy!
Tumblr media
Shocked
But during the next days Elizabeth ignores him like the good tsundere she is
Tumblr media
which leads us to the famous scene...
Tumblr media
“I love you most ardently”!
Can you guess what she does next? She refuses him!
(there has been a huge misunderstanding which causes her to think that Duckcy is the one to blame for Jane and Bingpap’s love story not evolving quickly)
Tumblr media
But soon the problem is solved and Elizabeth realises that perhaps she doesn’t hate him that much
Tumblr media
At the next days poor Duckcy goes out of him way to make sure that the Pennet family is well secured (financially) and encourages his friend to confess to Jane!
And Bingpap actually does it!
Tumblr media
After that things take their own way...
Tumblr media
And they lived happily ever after!
(I had to cut off some sideplots but the general story is the same)
