Devo finire qua. Metto tutti i link. TRANSLATION My relationship with video games is a bit peculiar in the sense that I like video games a lot, I like to read about video games, I also like to sometimes buy and download video games, however, I don't like to play them that much. I'm not particularly good at it, I don't like shooter video games, I don't like the ones that are too complicated, where there are stories that last too long. I like the ones that are, shall we say, more basic. My all-time favorite video game is The Stanley Parable, where a guy is in the office one morning and discovers that there's nobody in the office, he's the only person, so he starts wandering around the rooms, the various rooms in the office, trying to find out what happened. The amazing thing about The Stanley Parable, so far in my opinion still no one has been able to do something soamazing, is that as you play the game, you hear the voice of the narrator speaking right to you, personally, and commenting on the choices you make. The narrator guides you, tells you turn right, turn left, gives you advice, and then, depending on how you behave, whether or not you follow his advice, he scrambles you, bullies you, compliments you, makes fun of you. Let's say that very often he makes fun of you, he is terribly ironic. And it's beautiful this game because it has a number, IDK, I can't remember how many 30, 40 different possible endings, so as you play you have the impression that it's an infinite game, because infinite you think are your possibilities to choose this or that door, this or that corridor, to jump or not to jump, to discover or not to discover, and so on. So I like The Stanley Parable very much because it's a meta game, it's not a, let's say, traditional game. Another game I really like is Papers, Please, and I've played it quite a bit here as well. It's a very depressing game, though, because you play the part of a border guard in a country that looks like the former Democratic Germany, or at any rate an East Block country, and you have to decide whether or not to let people through who tell you their stories, cry, sometimes tell you lies, you have to check that their papers are okay, and so on. And if you let someone pass who then instead didn't have the right to access, they take money from your paycheck, so you starve, so it's also beautiful because it has a resolution, a very vintage very old look. Yes, there are games that I like, which however are very particular games, sometimes very literary, there is one inspired by a short story by Italo Calvino, however I am running out of my 3 daily minutes. I have to finish here. I write you all the links. ok...trying to make it seem like Jaune was in the wrong for not letting those stars off themselves in violent ways is a weird take. Like from what we’ve seen of ascension...it isnt a good thing, it turned a good king into a tyrannical prince and prevents the ever after creatures from really learning from their mistakes or processing their trauma, because the tree rips them apart and resets them to square one...They are not even the same people really, their parts were just used to make the replacement. Also if those stars wanted to make more durable things, why did they need to ascend to do it? Why not just start trying new things as they were currently, why did they think they needed to erase their old selves to make something new?

Tumblr media
Tumblr media
