A/N (edit 1/12/24 lol): I can’t believe I have to say this, but writing for a character that’s generally not a good person doesn’t mean I condone any garbage behavior said character might do. This is my first time writing for Gator so apologies if I don’t get characterization down!! If any of that bothers you, feel free to skip this one.

summary:

Her and Chat Noir didn’t need an algorithm to know they were meant for each other. Until one day, Chat Noir changed his mind, and decided he’d prefer the algorithm after all. After several weeks worth of moping and cursing Alliance’s name, Marinette remembers the age-old mantra: if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. She had dark circles under her eyes and what looked like braces on her legs—though, like everything else in the building, they were far more sleek and modern than any brace Marinette had seen before. She hadn’t noticed the doors opening; but the woman must have come from the building. “I hope you weren’t thinking of leaving.” “Oh, um… no?”  The woman raised a brow. “I mean, no!” A nervous giggle escaped Marinette’s lips. “I was just… quagmiring the gilding!” Her voice was too loud. The woman just stared. “Er, that is, admiring the building—it’s so, um… Clean?” Marinette offered, waving her hands at the (truly) spotless entrance from which she had been carefully backing away. “I’ll pass on your compliments to our janitorial staff.”

all right so pete said that the mv for hold me like a grudge will be a "continuation" of an old video and everyone was like "it's sixteen candles!!" but i wasn't convinced. they confirmed it wasn't sixteen candles and he said it might be their most ambitious in ten years. ten years ago was ybc. i'm not sure if it's a continuation of that either because that was videos, plural.

i suspected it when pete posted that image of him wearing blue contacts on his insta and the teaser they posted for hold me like a grudge makes me suspect it even harder. with the movie poster styled editing, patrick running from pete, and the tagline/lyric "part time soulmate full time problem" really makes me think that there might be credence to what i thought initially

which is that this mv is going to be a continuation of "saturday"
