Grim Reaper Dating Diary, Date #2

Date one: Miranda - met on the job.

Date location: Horror House Coffee

Miranda was very talkative. Sweet and pretty and loved to hang out. She loved pepperoni pizza, and was into Star Wars. Like REALLY into Star Wars which didn’t thrill me because, well, I like death.  I also like movies especially if they’re about -- death -- Dead Again, Dead Calm, The Dead, Dead and Buried, Dead Heat, Dead Man Walking, Dead Man’s Curve, Dead Poet’s Society, Shaun of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead, The Evil Dead, Night of the Living Dead although I don’t quite buy that last one… It’s pretty hard to be dead and alive at the same time. Believe me, I know!

Anyhoooo -- The date started off... okay. I got a medium coffee -- black -- which I like because it looks -- dead. Then Miranda showed up. I knew there was a problem the moment she ordered a blended ice cappuccino. I don’t like cold… you know. But then she started screaming when the kid behind the counter said they were out of ice…. oh, you know, I might have had a little something to do with that… So, I reached over to calm her down and of course, just as soon as I touched her -- heart attack. And then the old guy walked in. He saw me… dropped dead … and I had to get  to work. At least the day wasn’t a total wash.

Date rating: 4 out of 10. Mostly because I REALLY love that black coffee.

So, Dr. Dani’s receptionist wants to set me up with someone. I don’t know. One more date and I’ll be a three million time loser, but he says that it’s a numbers game, so, okay, I’ll try it...
