Hi, my coworker Natalie had her puppy Nala at our emergency vet for an aggressive case of parvovirus in June that resulted in a week of intensive care and hospitalization. On top of working multiple jobs, having student loans and going to school, having car insurance and a loan to pay, she also has an absent mother, an unexpected living situation change, and shes still trying to take care of her brother that lives with her dad as well. Shes genuinely such a sweet person, she deserves some support. Even with our employee discount on a $10,000 bill, it still came to around $8400, of which about $7900 is left to pay by December 1st or it goes to collections.
She and Nala would definitely appreciate any reblogs and shares on other SM or any small amount you can donate since everything does help.
***PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION THIS POST TALKS ABOUT THE LOSS OF A PET*** (WIP) The system collabed to make this tribute ❤️ RIP Shadow.
To those people who called out so many times that Ren had to work for 7 days straight or he’d lose his job and not be able to take care of Shadow, we hate you. You all know that you just wanted a day off and didn’t care who got stuck with covering your shifts. You didn’t have an emergency. And that isn’t an assumption. We know your work ethic and even saw his insane schedule.
It wasn’t his fault at all, guys. Please leave Ren some nice comments or reblogs down below so we can send them off. If he doesn’t work, then he can’t pay the bills or Shadow’s bills. But they knew that he was the only one who won’t call out like a maniac, so he had all his time taken when he was trying to get Shadow her parvo vaccine and then her vet visits. He isn’t privileged to where someone will just cover for him. He was going to lose his job, and he lives by himself with no help. He had just gotten her, he couldn’t stop his income. And when she got this sick and rushed her to the vet, she had only gotten worse afterwards.
Bottom line:
People need to stop calling out for no reason over and over. You don’t know who’s time you’re taking.
I had a client (who’s a “breeder”) who picked up a golden doodle pup from Texas and brought her In for her first puppy exam, and while the room tech was weighing and temping said “oh by the she’s been having diarrhea And vomiting” great possible Parvo.
Dogs nine weeks.
So work wife and I gown up and go in to do treatments, making small talk while the Parvo test is running, and the blood work is running,
She’s like
“Yeah my husbands allergic to dogs so we have to get the hypoallergenic breeds like doodles.”
I’m 90% sure I controlled my eyebrows. Thank god I was wearing a mask cause yeah my face would have said everything.
I felt my soul leave my body for a moment.
Lady is nice, and will do what ever we need to do to keep the pup healthy and happy, but that was not what I was expecting when I was told she was a breeder, cause 98% of the clients we see that are breeders are legit and not as I call “greeders.”
November blew in on a gusty Wednesday this week. I was sad to see October go, but with our first hard freeze of the year, the seasonal advance toward winter is undeniable -- even though we have another bout of warm days forecasted this week.
November blew in on a gusty Wednesday this week. I was sad to see October go, but with our first hard freeze of the year, the seasonal advance toward winter is undeniable — even though we have another bout of warm days forecasted this week. The gold, red, and orange leaves seemed to burn so bright just days ago — only to be snuffed out by the cold north wind. In a matter of days, most of our…
