this fic is my neglected baby !! i truly treasure it and do want to complete it. i work on it every couple of months but it's such a behemoth that it's feeling a bit hard to conquer!

general premise (so if you lovely people would like this kind of story I can put some ass in gear) is the reader is a winter soldier, found by steve and bucky at the end of civil war (alternate ending where she knocks out Zemo and the video of Tony's parents isn't played), and she's brought back to the Compound.

She's grapples with the knowledge that there are trigger words out there that can control her mind, and feeling very out of control. Bucky's coping strategies help with the effects of the serum on the body, but Loki wants to try to help her regain her control of her mind. She doesn't know if she can, and starts to wonder if hunting down and killing every last person who might be associated with HYDRA might be her only chance.

Chaos and love triangle ensues.

it's quite dark! angsty. hurt/comfort vibe. I'm struggling to see where the fluff fits, but maybe it doesn't have to.

Y/N and Loki are sitting on the couch together just enjoying some together time, when suddenly music started to play outside. Y/N sat up quickly.

Y/N gasps: ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!!

Loki confused watched her bolt out the door but soon follows.

Loki and Y/N walk back in both holding ice cream cones.

Loki: and they just drive around, giving out free ice cream like that all the time?

Y/N: OK like I said before he doesn’t give them out for free I had to pay for these don’t steal, but yes.

Loki: and why am I only just now hearing about this?

Two days later.

Thor and Loki are hanging out on the couch when suddenly music starts to play outside. Loki sits up, gasps, and then bolts out the door.

Thor confused: Loki where are you going and what’s that music?

Later Thor and Loki come back in both holding ice cream cones.

Thor: for free really.

Loki: yeah it’s amazing.

Thor: And why am I only just now hearing about this!

Loki: I know no one tells us anything!
