RE: Password Security on Santae
We want to directly address a false and misleading claim circulating online.
No one on the Santae team — including administrators or management — can see your password. Passwords are never stored in plaintext. Like any secure platform, we use one-way encryption to protect your login credentials. We use Laravel’s built-in authentication system, which hashes (and salts) every password before it’s ever saved. This means your actual password is not visible or accessible to anyone, including Myself(CJ), Developers, Management or Administrators.
We can assist with password resets only in cases where the “Forgot Password” function fails. This is a standard fail-safe, allowing us to manually set a new password upon your request. However, we do not have access to your current or previous passwords, nor can we view any password you’ve set.
We always encourage you to use a unique password for Santae and for every other service you use.
Spreading misinformation like this causes unnecessary panic and undermines trust in the safety protocols we’ve put in place. We take your account security very seriously, and our systems are designed to uphold modern standards of user privacy and data protection.
If you have any concerns, please contact support through our support ticket system on-site or email [email protected]. Thank you for helping keep our community safe, informed, and respectful.

Headcannons about Cypher & his tech capabilities (from most mundane to crazier)
cypher makes everyone do hard resets of computers & other devices once a month and keep backups on two separate physical hard drives, one for themselves and one for cypher. If the protocol is hacked extrenally, very little will be found
each person's room has a unique passcode. if people are dating, their codes work on each other's doors. It’s his funny little way of saying “caught you!” most people haven't realized because they haven't bothered trying
backdoor password to brimstone's bracer is "cypherdiedandiforgotmypasswordagain12345" (brimstone is not aware of this, but he will be automatically informed of such by the bracer if he is still alive and unlocks it with the current password)
cypher has hacked grubhub, instacart, amazon, and literally any other delivery service imaginable so that the protocol never has to pay for groceries or anything
He has thumb drive titled 'gifts' and it's just like 700 tutorials + tiktoks about various arts and crafts activities and there's folders for every type (knitting for omen, whittling for sova and skye, embroidery for astra, pressed flowers for sage, plant care for anyone, spray paint for raze and phoenix, etc.) When an agent has a particularly bad time on a mission he picks one and emails it to that specific agent
Most agents were wary of the “gifts” at first but have come to appreciate it. Everyone is aware that cypher does this but no one talks about it so it’s kind of like a public secret
On a related note, everyone secretly wants cypher to be their secret santa because they know he absolutely will give them the very thing they've been secretly ogling on amazon for the last 70 days
in the month of december, individual security cameras will play christmas carol's at random intervals of the day, and it drives everyone insane, except phoenix, who is a diehard christmas fanatic and loves Christmas music
cypher is an expert at photoshop bc he knows how to look for discern fabricated images etc. this gives him an extremely powerful way to mess with the other agents
if you've ever seen that tweet about the guy who kept making missouri bigger on the US map on the state’s wikipedia page, thats what cypher does to agent portraits. He is the culprit behind widejoy, breach's comedically bushy mustache, reyna's vampire fangs, the extreme size of his own hat, dulling/erasure of chamber's stripes, making yoru's onion hair larger, and occasionally flipping everyone's valorant logo upside-down
fade heard about the digital pranks in the above bullet point and is now cypher accomplice

Revised Merging Timelines Chapter Six
Upon arriving at the True Lab, Dust released Papyrus's arm, and he ran to the elevator, footsteps expertly silent behind him, likely leaving Papyrus confused as to what was going on. Dust closed the elevator doors once he got inside of it, pushing the button to go up. Killer appeared in his vision a moment later, leaning against the left side of the elevator, fidgeting with a knife.
'so, it's about time this happened. i've been waiting for it.' Killer mentioned, and Dust could feel his sight on him despite the void-like eye sockets. It was strange to feel like you're being watched by a hallucination that shared your point of view perception wise. 'it is pretty weird. just means i always have access to a mirror.'
"is there something you want?" Dust asked him in irritation.
'just wanted to say i'm cheering you on while you kill the brat.' Killer said, grinning at him, narrowing his eye sockets.
"i'm not." Dust replied.
'what?' Killer asked in confusion, eye sockets going wide and grin vanishing, and Sans appeared on the right side of the elevator, 'why not?'
"why do you think? this whole situation gets worse each time the timeline is rewound. saves don't do anything because the timeline still flows forward, reloads and resets on the other hand, those aren't that simple. now, since this seems like a genocide route, our best bet is to hide in the true lab, saving who we can and protecting them on the off chance something goes wrong. i don't know about you, but i don't feel like making the situation much worse than it needs to be, especially not by making them keep reloading after being killed." Dust explained.
'good point. it's way too dangerous and risky.' Sans agreed.
'yeah. good thinking, dustbunny.' Killer complimented, prompting Dust to roll his eyelights before noticing the pun.
"dustbunny?" Dust asked, fighting back a smirk at the pun, and Killer snickered at the reaction.
'eh, why not?' Killer asked, shrugging a bit with a slight grin on his face. Dust sighed, lowering his skull and gaze down to the floor, a mix of annoyance and irritation. 'come on, you can't even appreciate my humor in this?'
"not right now, this is a serious situation, killer." Dust sighed, closing his eye sockets for a moment as he exhaled, "not that you can even comprehend that."
'ouch. for your information, mr. emo dustball-' "i hate you." '-i am capable of being serious. don't tell me you forgot how to use humor in serious situations.'
"i don't like using humor as much anymore. too many insane moments, i don't want to prompt one." Dust said.
'that's when lv is involved. you've been calm so far. rational.' Killer pointed out.
". . . why are you right?" Dust asked.
'because i'm me.' Killer smirked, and Dust scoffed, 'look, you need to relax, dust. you're so serious, and yes, this is a serious situation, but everyone else is used to 'sans the skeleton; the pun guy; the one to keep everyone level headed and calm even when crap's hitting the fan. if you show them something's wrong, they'll panic and be freaked out.'
". . . i am getting really damn fed up with you being right..." Dust seethed, fists clenching.
'you'll get used to it. he's like us-' Dust cut Sans off.
"he's not like me." Dust glared, and Sans raised his hands.
'- in the fact that he's intelligent. he's not dumb, dust.' Sans finished.
". . . thank you for having a point instead of him saying something smart again." Dust said.
'you're welcome?' Sans replied.
'heh. you two think i'm smart~' Killer snickered.
"shut up before you make me forget the fact that i said i'd try getting along with you." Dust glared.
'fine... working with you will be such a blast~' Killer smirked, Dust rolling his eyelights.
The elevator doors opened, Dust walking over to Alphys's computers, typing in the password he'd memorized from his timeline and pushing some buttons, initiating the evacuation protocol. It would bring everyone to the True Lab, and all Dust had to do was buy time and save the stragglers. This was later in the timeline than he'd ever done it in his, but Dust was up for the challenge. He'd missed doing this.
"S-Sans?" Alphys asked in surprise, approaching him, "What's wrong? Why did you a-activate the ev-evacuation pr-protocol?"
"there's a human killing monsters in the underground, and i'm trying to save as many monsters as possible." Dust explained, and Alphys's eyes widened in shock.
"Oh my god! Thank you for ac-activating it! Y-You're saving a-a lot of lives!" Alphys thanked him.
"i'm not done yet." Dust said, teleporting out, probably confusing Alphys as he did.
Dust arrived at Snowdin, putting up bone barricades over the usual paths the human took, helping monsters get out of Snowdin and into Waterfall, though he was noticing some were already missing. When asked what was going on, Dust simply told them it was a drill, and it was important to be as fast as possible. Dust put up a bone wall barricade behind everyone, and he teleported again to the entrance of Waterfall.
Dust was spreading the news as he went, telling everyone to go to Hotland and to The Lab. He was moving faster than he had in the past, which was probably due to his LV; he could feel it was at 20, and the increased stats were helping him out right now. He was checking through the smaller, more isolated areas of Waterfall, and he heard the ground crack open, and he saw Flowey pop out of the ground.
"Whatcha up to, Smiley Trashbag?" Flowey asked, and Dust sighed.
'i never realized it, but you act like flowey sometimes, killer.' Sans snickered, and Dust fought to keep any humor off of his expression; Sans was right.
'wh-what?! take that back!' Killer snapped, and Sans laughed.
"none of your business, weed." Dust replied, narrowing his eye sockets at him in a glare; he didn't have time for this.
"You seem different." Flowey observed, "What gives? You've been acting weird these last few Resets, and I wanna know why."
"it's none of your business." Dust glared.
"Well, I'm making it my business. Last Reset when you fought Mettaton, what even was that stuff coming out of your eye sockets anyways, and what the hell was up with the wardrobe change?" Flowey asked.
'dustyyy~ please, please let me talk with him~ pretty please with a cherry on top~' Killer asked as he appeared behind Flowey, giving Dust puppy eyes. Dust just looked away, unphased. 'killjoy.'
"as i said, it's none of your business." Dust repeated.
"Fine, then at least answer this: Why are you evacuating everyone? You're actually involved in this." Flowey asked, tilting his head.
"because i don't want everyone dying." Dust answered.
"You mean you don't want Papyrus dying, and the others are just for extra credit?~" Flowey asked, and Dust glared off to the side, "I see I'm right. Alright, now we're getting somewhere."
"you're wrong. are you really just here to piss me off?" Dust questioned.
"No, but it's definitely a plus!" Flowey replied, laughing a bit, "I just wanted to see what was up with you. You're acting really weird, and I wanna know why. Besides, I figured I could get a front row seat to this new turn of events!"
'..... he's totally Killer.' Sans said.
'i am not! i'm way better than that stupid dandelion!' Killer disagreed, and Sans gave him a flat look, appearing to his right.
'aww, don't talk bad about your own reflection, kills.' Sans snickered, dropping the flat expression, and Killer pointed a knife at Sans, his target soul shining brightly.
'don't make me regret helping you out with your episodes.' Killer glared, the amusement gone from Sans's face
'guys, can i deal with this without you two pissing each other off?' Dust asked; he'd ask about those 'episodes' later.
'no.' Sans and Killer replied at the same time, and Dust sighed out loud.
"look, flowey, i'm really busy right now, can't we do this another time?" Dust asked as Sans and Killer surprisingly quieted down.
"Nope! Answers, Trashbag, or I'll go tell Papyrus it's safe to come out of the hole you put him in and see what happens when the kid sees him~" Flowey threatened.
"don't even think about it." Dust glared, eyelights turning red and cyan from anger, a few purple sparks coming from his left eyelight.
"That's new." Flowey observed with a slight chuckle.
"do that, and i promise you that i will make your life a living hell." Dust threatened with a dangerous glare.
Flowey grinned at him, "Then tell me what's going on. Things are changing around here, and you seem to be at the center of it. What gives?"
"i don't know, and i don't care." Dust replied, crossing his arms. He was aware, but he wasn't telling Flowey what was going on.
'i know! i know!' Killer piped up, holding his right arm up and jumping up and down in the air. Dust ignored him.
"Well, how's about we find out?" Flowey asked.
"i don't have time for this, so no. now if you'll excuse me, asriel, i have things to do." Dust said, turning around and started walking, leaving Flowey sputtering.
Flowey grabbed Dust's ankle with a vine a moment later, pulling him into the air upside-down as Flowey's face contorted so it looked like a Jack-O-Lantern's, and he asked, "H o w  d o  y o u  k n o w  m y  n a m e?"
"i know lots of things, and if you want answers, you won't do anything to papyrus. if you do, i won't tell you anything out of pure spite." Dust responded, and Flowey dropped him. Dust flipped around in the air and landed on his feet.
'and i thought i was the athletic one, heh.' Killer snickered.
"Fine, but answer one question and I'll leave you alone for now, as you're not very entertaining: How do you know who I am?" Flowey asked.
"i mean it's not hard to do some digging and find out." Dust shrugged.
"And you didn't reveal you knew this until just now?" Flowey asked, receiving a nod, "Interesting... I'm looking forward to the next Reset, Sans, I think we have a lot to discuss."
Flowey went back into the ground, and Dust rolled his eyelights, them turning white again as he started walking, and he continued evacuating everyone. He got to Hotland in record time, and he teleported to the bunker in The True Lab, Alphys jumping at his sudden appearance. He looked around and saw everyone else there, thankfully still including....
"BROTHER!" Papyrus greeted, waving, "I HEARD THERE WAS A DRILL! I HEARD IT WAS ALSO A RACE! THANKS TO YOU, I GOT FIRST PLACE GETTING HERE! NYEH HEH HEH HEH!"
Killer sighed a bit at the behavior, and he snapped his fingers, going into their subconscious, where Dust spent his time the last Reset. Sans still didn't understand that about Killer.
"What's this about, Sans?" Undyne asked, walking over, "Alphys told me you triggered the drill."
"it's.... undyne, can we talk in private?" Dust asked.
"Why?" Undyne asked.
"it's..." Dust glanced at Papyrus, a silent gesture.
"Serious? Got it." Undyne nodded, walking off.
"I WANT TO COME!" Papyrus piped up.
"sorry, bro, it's uh... it's a surprise thing, so umm..." Dust trailed off.
"NYEH? A SURPRISE? FOR WHAT PURPOSE?" Papyrus asked.
"it's for gryftmas, we're talking about a present for you." Dust lied, and he followed after Undyne, looking down. He didn't miss Alphys's sympathetic and sad look from the corner of his vision.
Once they got enough distance from the others, Undyne turned to look at Dust, "So, what's really going on here, punk?"
"there's a human slaughtering whoever they can find in the underground for the exp, so i evacuated everyone. that way they can't become too powerful to defeat asgore, so he can kill them and take their soul himself to break the barrier." Dust explained, though he was lying through his teeth at the end.
There was no escaping this place, but he wouldn't break that news to the others. Sans appeared leaning against a wall behind Undyne, watching the interaction silently.
Undyne looked rightfully angry that someone was doing that, and asked, her eye narrowed, "How many casualties?"
"everyone in the ruins by the looks of it, and some snowdin residents. i got everyone out past that." Dust answered.
"Damnit..." Undyne clenched her fists in anger, before saying, "Good work. And here I thought you were just some lazy sentry who only joined for your brother... Didn't think you had it in you."
"thanks. everyone here from the rest of hotland?" Dust asked.
"I think so, except for Muffet. Alphys doesn't wanna lock down the Underground without her in here." Undyne answered.
"...... i'll be right back." Dust told her, and he teleported out, reappearing in front of the door to where Muffet was.
Killer appeared next to him, and Sans was standing by the door.
'can i do it? please?~' Killer requested, 'i've been craving some action, and you've been doing a bunch of boring pacifist bullcrap the whole timeline. i wanna have some fun this timeline!'
'i trust you less than i trust dust, and i don't think he trusts you either.' Sans said.
'why? why don't you trust little old me?~' Killer asked, grinning, right eye socket half closed.
'because you're a complete and utter psycho.' Sans deadpanned.
'he's got a point.' Dust agreed, 'besides, i don't trust you not to do something stupid.'
'.... what if i didn't hurt her that bad? a few scuffs and that's it.' Killer offered, 'you saw me fight mettaton, i didn't kill him. i know self restraint, and i can help. we can work together here, dust. let me help. i'm going to die of boredom.'
'you won't be missed.' Dust told him, Killer frowning a bit and Sans snorting.
'maybe not, but i do want in on this. sooooo...?~'
Dust sighed after a bit of contemplation, and he nodded, causing Killer to grin.
'thanks, dusty!' Killer grinned at him as he tackled Dust in a hug, subsequently pushing Dust out of control of Sans's body and putting himself in the figurative driver's seat, pulling his hood down, which Dust immediately missed.
Killer made sure his soul was hidden, and he walked over to the door, kicking the door open easily. He walked in, steps silent as he looked around, seeing spiders skittering around, and he tiptoed around the spider webs, avoiding getting ensnared in them. The grin was gone, replaced with a small smirk instead, and he looked over at Muffet as he approached her, his hands in his pockets.
"Oh! Hello, deary!" Muffet greeted, pouring herself some tea.
"hey. heard you weren't coming for the drill?" Killer asked, tilting his skull a bit and closing his right eye socket slightly.
"Hmm? Oh, no! Why, there's this child who stole from me, and I intend to... make them pay." Muffet told him, "By the way, you seem different..."
"a good different, i hope... with that said, the drill's mandatory, sooo...." Killer trailed off, pointing at the door behind him with his thumb.
"And yet they sent you to come get me." Muffet mused, condescending.
"i sent myself. now come on; the brat can wait." Killer ordered.
"I'd rather not." Muffet denied, sipping some of her tea.
"that wasn't a request." Killer glared, hands no longer in his pocket as he crossed his arms.
"Was that a threat?" Muffet asked, her eyes narrowing at him as her theme started up.
"what do you think it was?" Killer retorted, his own eye sockets narrowing in an antagonistic glare, a smirk on his face.
Muffet shot webs at him, Killer teleporting out of the way to avoid them. Her song switched into his, Occisor playing like it had with Mettaton. Muffet wasn't the boss monster here; Killer was. The choir of deceased souls he had singing for him in his theme was proof enough of that.
Muffet blinked in confusion from his dodge and the song change before she received a flying kick to the face, Killer's slipper leaving a mark on her cheek. The spiders around them all lunged at Killer, and he dodged, running out of the way, teleporting above Muffet, and when she went to use her webs on him, he teleported out of the way. Upon landing, several webs shot at him, and he backflipped over them, jumping to a wall as more shot where he landed. He leapt off the wall as spiders flew at him, and he skidded to a stop on the floor, using a bone shield to block more webs, teleporting away as more came at him from behind.
Muffet's pet emerged from the depths of the room, charging at him, biting and roaring. Killer dodged each attempt the monstrous cupcake with legs made to bite him, making it crash into walls by evading it. He pierced it with a few sharp bones before pinning it to a wall with more bones before finally bringing up a wall of bones around it, ensuring it would stay there and couldn't cause any further complications. It roared at him in rage, breaking free from the wall but it couldn't escape the bones.
He used the impact of an attack to propel himself up to a ledge, jumping off of it and onto a wall. Killer used a sharp bone to cut long webs off at the top, and he grabbed the strands in bunches. From there, he jumped down next to Muffet, and he quickly ran around her. He was alternating between teleportation and running to increase his speed, sliding and jumping under and over attacks that came at him. He pulled the strings taut upon reaching the end of the strands, and Muffet fell to the ground, struggling. He'd trapped her in her own webs.
"How dare you?! Do you realize who you're-?!" Killer stuffed a spider donut in her mouth, and all that could be heard was furious muffled words, likely cursing him out. He grabbed some of the web, grinning in satisfaction as he took his time to drag her back to the True Lab, and Dust appeared in front of him.
'. . . not bad.' Dust admitted.
'thanks.' Killer smirked.
'all you're doing is just pissing her off.' Sans pointed out, appearing next to Dust after a blink.
Killer just grinned at them, that being his point, and they both sighed in exasperation. The walk back wasn't too long, and Dust got control back at the door to The Lab, and he pulled the body's hood back up, Killer once again watching everything like a first person movie.
Dust stepped inside, Killer still snickering in the depths of their subconscious, and he dragged Muffet to the elevator, going down it and heading to the bunker. Dust rolled his eyelights at the laughter, irritated with Killer but still impressed with his skills; Killer was a good fighter, and he'd kept his word, Dust would give him that... Everyone looked over at Dust when the door opened, all visibly surprised. Dust dropped Muffet by Undyne after the door closed, and he teleported to a couch, taking a much needed break. Dust laid down on the cushions, arms folded behind his skull, looking up at the ceiling with a yawn trying to pull itself from his mouth.
'you ok?' Sans asked.
'yeah, killer just drained this body's stamina.' Dust replied, and Killer snickered darkly, appearing crouched in a frog-like position on the back of the couch, looking down at Dust.
'might wanna rephrase that, dustbunny~' Killer snickered, and Dust glared daggers at him as Sans bit back a laugh, appearing behind the couch, hand over his mouth and shoulders shaking.
'. . . i hate you.' Dust informed.
'it's a love/hate relationship then, i see how it is~' Killer smirked.
'i'm going to stab you.' Dust threatened. He didn't know how, but he'd find a way.
'he's probably a masochist, that won't do much.' Sans sighed.
'dammit...' Dust cursed.
Killer chuckled, appearing on the arm of the couch, turning around to bend his back at an unnatural degree, holding himself up with an arm on the back of the couch. Killer grinned at Dust, face upside down.
'you're going to fall.' Dust warned with absolutely no concern.
'only for you~' Killer grinned wider somehow, and Dust looked completely done with everything.
'stop doing that.' Dust glared.
'nah, i'm good~' Killer replied.
'you're bored, aren't you?' Sans asked, walking to stand next to the couch, leaning against the back of it and looking at Killer.
'yup!' Killer replied, and in the blink of an eye, he was back to crouching on the back of the couch, grinning at them, 'what do you guys wanna do?'
'i want to take a break and enjoy some peace and quiet,' Dust replied.
'boooooriiiiing!' Killer said, 'come on, can't we do something fun?'
'sleep?' Dust asked.
'come on, killer, let him sleep. you just got to fight muffet. he's done a lot and he's earned some rest.' Sans said.
Killer sighed, shoulders sagging, 'killjoys.'
Killer disappeared a moment later, and Sans sighed. 'he's usually more tolerable.'
'oh i bet.' Dust rolled his eyelights, 'makes sense that i can get out of one hell only to be trapped in another one.'
Sans sighed, and Dust closed his eye sockets, hearing the usual occasional whispers and faint screams of the ones he'd killed, and luckily from so much magic usage, Dust was able to fall asleep for a while. He was sleeping peacefully when he was suddenly woken up a bit later, Alphys shaking his shoulder. His eye sockets opened, looking over at her to see what was wrong, and she looked guilty, be it from waking him up or something else. He was still tired, so this had better be important... "S-Sans?" Alphys asked.
"what is it?" Dust questioned.
"I... um... Papyrus..." Dust was instantly fully awake, "He.... he o-overheard me telling Undyne more about the human... He... he went out to go 'help by br-bringing them to Asgore'..." Alphys explained.
No... NO!
'no!'
'can't say i didn't see that coming...' Killer muttered.
'shut up, killer!!' Sans and Dust both snapped.
Dust bolted up, eyelights cyan and red from his panic, the purple flame bursting to life in his left eye socket, and he almost missed the fear on her face. Almost. That wasn't important right now, though, not when Papyrus could die again...
"what?! when did he leave?!" Dust asked urgently.
"A... A f-few m-minutes ago..." Alphys stuttered, and Dust bolted to the camera system set up in the bunker, flipping through the cameras, shaking as he looked for any signs of Papyrus.
Sans appeared next to him, looking worried as well, and Dust could feel shivers going down his spine, and not from his sins. Dust, for the first time in a very long time, felt afraid, and he still didn't like it.
"S-Sans, please! Calm down!" Alphys begged of him.
Dust briefly glared daggers into her soul before going back to searching, and he snapped, "i don't want to hear it. you could be getting my little brother killed, and it'd be on your head!"
'ouch.'
The words were harsh, but Dust wasn't focused on controlling his temper not right now, not when Papyrus's life was at stake. Dust could see her ashamed face in the reflection of the computer, along with his true reflection, and Dust felt a bit guilty for snapping at her, but he would apologize later. Dust saw a flash of Papyrus's scarf from one of the cameras, seeing he was near the entrance to Hotland, and Dust immediately teleported to the location. His brother was nowhere in sight upon Dust's arrival, and he broke out in a run, trying to get to Papyrus as fast as he could.
He ran as fast as he could, Determined to get there, to save him.... but he was too late. Dust arrived just in time to see the human walking past his dust. How had they dealt so much damage to him so fast?! With their low LV, it shouldn't be possible, not unless they had a high desire to kill... He'd seen Undyne get killed with one hit before, when he'd watched the kid do Genocide Runs in his timeline. That had probably happened this time too... and it pissed Dust the hell off.
'we were too late...'
"NO!!" Dust shouted, and in his rage, summoned a Gaster Blaster, it's size rivaling the size of Killer's.
It looked like his old Gaster Blasters, but the eyelights matched Dust's current ones, and the edges were sharper, showing it was more dangerous. Dust fired it at the human, killing them in one explosive purple attack.
RELOAD
Dust's eye sockets snapped open when Alphys woke him up, and he immediately teleported to the entrance to Hotland. Dust didn't even hesitate to get hit by the blow that would've killed Papyrus, feeling the slash attack rip into his ribcage like it had so many times before. The human looked at him in shock, and Dust felt Determination leaking from the wound and out of his mouth.
'holy crap...' Killer muttered.
Dust flung the murderous human back into a wall, and he grabbed Papyrus's arm, teleporting them back to the bunker. Dust was shaking on his feet as he looked back at Papyrus, making sure he was still alive, and he was. Dust felt that his HP was dangerously low, but it wouldn't kill him. He had just enough HP to spare... The adrenaline was wearing off, though, and he was exhausted; the room spinning a little from his fatigue.
"BROTHER?" Papyrus asked, voice full of concern.
"you ok?..." Dust questioned.
"I.... I AM OK, YES." Papyrus replied, still processing.
"good.." Dust breathed out, sighing in relief.
"S-Sans?.." Alphys asked, looking at him with horror, and he saw several others looking at him with similar expressions.
'dusty? you alright, buddy?'
'dust?'
Dust's vision started spotting, fading to black, and he vaguely heard Alphys running over to him, yelling something, and Papyrus catching. Everything went black a moment later.

IT'S SAFE NOW!
Good news! People who were banned in the recent string of bans have been getting access to their accounts back. It's not because of mods or anything like that, it's because of hackers.
Pretty much, many accounts were the victims of Russian hackers, and EA blocked the accounts to prevent any further damage and to contain it.
Just as a side note, this is standard protocol for any game company to do this, but where EA fucked up (it's not just Sims, it affected people playing other games, too. It was a huge problem for Apex Legends, too.) is that they usually give us a heads-up when this happens.
If you have been banned, keep bugging EA until they respond. They'll have you reset your password and turn on 2FA.
You can go ahead and put my unlocks back in your mods folder, and my plans to get ALL of them out are back on.
JUUUUST as soon as I have a full list of all packs and all their bonus objects. We were actually able to get Lovestruck in time to get the pre-order objects, so that's cool.

As the Israel-Hamas war escalated this week, WIRED looked at the conditions that contributed to Israel's intelligence failures ahead of Hamas' initial attack last Saturday, as well as the hacktivism and digital mayhem that has subsequently sprung up around the kinetic war. The situation has led to a torrent of misinformation across global discourse, particularly on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where fake photos, old videos, and video game footage have exploded on an unprecedented scale.
X’s Trust and Safety team claims it has been working to address the situation, but company CEO Elon Musk has been “posting through it,” sharing conspiracies and engaging with QAnon discourse on the platform. The chaotic situation on X has been difficult for the average user to keep up with. In one case, a graphic Hamas video that Donald Trump Jr. shared on the platform actually turned out to be legitimate, even though it seemed at first look like it might have been part of the broader deluge of misinformation. And beyond just X, rumors of a “Global Day of Jihad” on Friday unleashed a dangerous wave of disinformation across digital platforms—one that threatened to cross into real-world violence.
With the trial of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried in full swing this week, WIRED took a deep look at the day someone stole hundreds of millions of dollars from the ill-fated cryptocurrency exchange as it was declaring bankruptcy. And new evidence released by researchers this week indicates that the stolen FTX funds went through a chain of intermediaries that eventually led to Russia-linked money launderers.
As chaos in the United States House of Representatives continues over Republicans' inability to deal with far-right hardliners and elect a new speaker, WIRED reported that Republican Party leaders have imposed cell phone bans in an attempt to keep backroom dealmaking under wraps. The United Nations' top internet governance body may host its next two annual meetings in countries known for repressive digital policies and abusive information control, which risks normalizing internet censorship. And white supremacist “active clubs” are gaining traction in part through communication on the messaging app Telegram.
Meanwhile, Google announced this week that it will make the more secure password replacement known as passkeys the default login option for its personal account holders as part of the company's efforts to promote adoption of the technology. And a new internet protocol vulnerability known as “HTTP/2 Rapid Reset” impacts virtually every web server around the world and will take years to stamp out, exposing some sites and digital services to denial of service attacks long-term.
And there's more. Each week we round up the security and privacy news that we didn’t cover in depth ourselves. Click the headlines to read the full stories. And stay safe out there.
Vietnam Used Predator Spyware to Target US Congress
Notorious high-end commercial spyware like Pegasus and Predator has been used over the past decade to target human rights activists, protesters, and journalists. But a foreign nation using it to target the smartphones of US members of Congress represents a rare and brazen new appearance of those notorious tools. On Monday The Washington Post, along with a consortium of more than a dozen international media outlets, revealed that the Vietnamese government used that Predator spyware, distributed by the surveillance firms Cytrox and Intellexa, to target at least four members of Congress—representative Michael McCaul and senators Chris Murphy, John Hoeven, and Gary Peters—as well as Asia-focused experts at US think tanks and several journalists that include CNN’s lead national security reporter, Jim Sciutto.
In the hacking campaign, those individuals were targeted in replies on X (formerly known as Twitter) that included links to websites that would have infected their iOS or Android phones with the Predator spyware. That tactic appears to have been both reckless and unsuccessful: Anyone else who saw the tweets and clicked on the link would have been infected too, and the highly public nature of that infection attempt helped researchers and reporters to analyze the scope and targeting of the campaign. The attempted espionage was timed to US government meetings with Vietnamese officials, and it appears to have been aimed at understanding US intentions in the meeting, particularly related to relations with China.
The media consortium, along with security researchers from Amnesty International and Google’s Threat Analysis Group, were able to show Vietnam’s connection to the Predator hacking campaign through documents they obtained that detail the Vietnamese government’s contract with Intellexa in 2020, and later an extension of the deal to allow the use of the Predator software. The internal documents went so far as to capture the response of Intellexa’s founder, Israeli former military hacker turned entrepreneur Tal Dilian, when the deal was announced: “Wooow!!!!” Vietnam’s government would later target French officials with Predator before this year’s campaign targeting US congressmen.
Hamas Raised Millions in Crypto Ahead of Attacks
Despite efforts by Israel and other nations to cut off funding to Hamas in recent years, the group raised millions of dollars worth of cryptocurrency before the past weekend’s attack that killed more than a thousand Israelis. An analysis by The Wall Street Journal found that Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Hezbollah had collectively raised hundreds of millions in crypto over the past several years, with $41 million going to Hamas specifically. Given that the Journal learned of that funding in part through Israeli seizures of crypto accounts, however, it’s not clear how much of that money was frozen or seized versus how much might have actually been successfully laundered or liquidated by Hamas and other groups.
In response to the weekend’s attacks, the Israeli government and the world’s largest crypto exchange, Binance, both announced that a new round of Hamas crypto accounts had been frozen. Though crypto has helped Hamas and other groups move funds across borders, its traceability on blockchains has presented a challenge for designated terrorist groups. In 2021, for instance, Hamas asked its supporters to stop making donations via cryptocurrency, due to the ease of tracking those transactions and unmasking contributors.
Exxon Used Hacked Documents to Counter State Investigations
Last year, Reuters reporters Chris Bing and Raphael Satter published an investigation into Aviram Azari, an Israeli private investigator who is accused of using mercenary hackers to gather intelligence on the critics of major corporations involved in lawsuits against them.
Now, prosecutors in the Southern District of New York, where Azari has been convicted on criminal charges, have filed a sentencing memo that notes that activists’ communications stolen by Azari’s hackers were later used by Exxon in the company’s attempts to head off investigations and lawsuits by state attorneys general. The memo still doesn’t name Exxon as Azari’s client, but it implicitly suggests a link between the company and Azari: Prosecutors point in their memo to leaks of climate activists’ private emails to media, which were later cited by Exxon in their responses to state attorney generals as evidence of underhanded tactics by activists as they tried to prove that Exxon knew and covered up the role of fossil fuels in climate change. A Massachusetts lawsuit against Exxon that resulted from the state’s investigation is ongoing.
Magecart Cybercrime Crew Skims Cards With New 404 Trick
Internet giant Akamai warned this week that the infamous Magecart hacker crew, long focused on credit card fraud, has developed a clever new technique for spoofing credit card payment fields. The hackers managed to hide their malicious scripts in the 404 “page not found” error pages of ecommerce sites, then trigger those pages to load a spoofed payment field that impersonates a checkout page to steal credit card information. “The idea of manipulating the default 404 error page of a targeted website can offer Magecart actors various creative options for improved hiding and evasion,” warned Akamai researcher Roman Lvovsky. Akamai noted that the technique was used on the website of significant brands in the food and retail industries but declined to name them.

Hacker Breach Exposes 23andMe’s Customers’ Data
Tumblr media
Genetic Testing Giant Confirms Massive Security Compromise
A staggering breach has rattled the foundations of 23andMe, the renowned genetic testing company, as it confirms unauthorized access to nearly seven million user profiles. A spokesperson disclosed to CNN on Tuesday that the breach encompassed sensitive details such as ancestry reports, zip codes, and birth years, significantly impacting a subset of the company’s extensive user base.
The Scale of the Breach
The unsettling revelation came to light through a filing to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Friday, where 23andMe indicated that approximately 0.1% of its user accounts, approximately 14,000 profiles, fell victim to the cyber intrusion. However, subsequent investigations unveiled a more substantial impact, with hackers infiltrating around 5.5 million profiles employing the company’s DNA Relatives feature.
Extent of Compromised Information
Notably, hackers also managed to access a subset of family tree data linked to 1.4 million DNA Relatives profiles, raising concerns about the depth and breadth of compromised personal information. Engadget, a prominent tech news outlet, initially shed light on the broader implications of this extensive security breach.

Ongoing Cybersecurity Woes
This incident adds 23andMe to the roster of major U.S. corporations grappling with severe cybersecurity breaches affecting a larger populace than initially acknowledged. Just recently, Okta, an identity management firm, acknowledged a data breach impacting all users within its customer support system, a figure significantly higher than initially reported.
Modus Operandi: Credential Stuffing
The method of intrusion employed by the hackers has been identified as ‘credential stuffing.’ Leveraging old usernames and passwords obtained from other platforms, this rudimentary yet effective technique facilitated unauthorized access to numerous 23andMe customer accounts.
Company’s Response and Measures Taken
In response to the breach, 23andMe embarked on a comprehensive investigation aided by third-party forensic experts. Despite declining to disclose the perpetrators, the company is diligently notifying affected customers, complying with legal obligations.
A statement posted on the company’s website outlined measures to bolster data protection, mandating password resets for existing customers and implementing two-step verification for both new and existing users.
As concerns over data security and privacy amplify, this breach underscores the pressing need for stringent measures to safeguard sensitive personal information in an increasingly digitized world.
The ramifications of such a breach extend far beyond the compromised data itself. Users are now grappling with potential identity theft, privacy infringement, and the misuse of their genetic information. This breach has reignited conversations about the ethical responsibilities of companies dealing with highly personal data and the imperative to fortify cybersecurity protocols.
In the wake of this breach, regulatory bodies and lawmakers are likely to intensify their scrutiny of companies handling sensitive user data, potentially leading to stricter compliance standards and regulations aimed at fortifying cybersecurity measures and protecting consumer privacy.
As 23andMe continues its damage control and endeavors to rebuild trust, the cybersecurity landscape faces renewed challenges, emphasizing the criticality of proactive measures to thwart malicious cyber threats and safeguard user information from similar breaches in the future.

Troubleshooting Common Issues Through PLDTHomeWiFiSettings
Tumblr media
Dealing with internet slowdowns or connectivity issues can be frustrating, especially when you rely heavily on WiFi for work, streaming, and daily communication. Fortunately, many common problems can be resolved using pldthomewifisettings. This guide will walk you through practical troubleshooting tips and tricks using your PLDT router's admin panel.
Understanding PLDTHomeWiFiSettings
The pldthomewifisettings portal is your gateway to diagnosing and solving most network issues at home. From checking signal strength to rebooting your system remotely, it offers a variety of tools to enhance your internet experience.
How to Access PLDTHomeWiFiSettings
Before troubleshooting, you’ll need to access the settings:
Connect your phone or computer to the PLDT Home WiFi.
Open a web browser and type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
Enter login credentials—usually "admin" and "1234" (or "adminpldt" with a specific password).
You’ll now see the pldthomewifisettings dashboard.
Once inside, you’re ready to start troubleshooting.
Problem 1: Slow Internet Speed
If your internet seems slower than expected:
Go to Status > WAN to check the real-time speed.
Run a speed test from your browser and compare it with your subscribed plan.
Use QoS Settings to prioritize work-related devices or apps.
Reduce the number of connected devices by checking the Client List.
Through pldthomewifisettings, you can quickly allocate bandwidth to where it matters most.
Problem 2: Frequent Disconnections
A common issue with wireless connections is frequent drops. Try the following:
Change the WiFi Channel under Wireless Settings. Avoid crowded channels like 1 or 6.
Switch from 2.4GHz to 5GHz if supported. It’s faster and less prone to interference.
Ensure firmware is updated via System > Firmware Upgrade.
If none of these fixes work, a factory reset through pldthomewifisettings might be necessary.
Problem 3: Unauthorized Users on the Network
Are you noticing unfamiliar devices?
Navigate to the Client List in your dashboard.
Block unknown devices using MAC Filtering.
Change your WiFi password under Wireless > Security and re-authenticate trusted devices.
Regularly monitoring your pldthomewifisettings can help you catch freeloaders before they eat up your bandwidth.
Problem 4: Can’t Connect to WiFi
Sometimes your device might not connect at all:
Restart your router using System > Reboot.
Check if the WiFi signal is hidden. Go to Wireless Settings and make sure SSID broadcast is enabled.
Ensure the device isn’t blocked under MAC Filtering.
This is a common situation easily resolved by checking settings via pldthomewifisettings.
Problem 5: WiFi Signal Weak in Certain Areas
Dead zones in your house?
Try changing the transmission power from “Low” to “High” under Wireless > Advanced Settings.
Reposition your router centrally in your home.
Add a WiFi extender or Mesh system and link it via LAN cable.
While pldthomewifisettings can help optimize range, hardware limitations may also need to be addressed.
Problem 6: Can’t Log In to PLDTHomeWiFiSettings
If you can’t even access the admin panel:
Check the IP address. It should be 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
Make sure you're connected to the PLDT WiFi, not mobile data.
Reset the router to factory settings using the small reset button at the back.
Access to pldthomewifisettings is crucial for all troubleshooting, so this step is foundational.
Problem 7: Port Forwarding Not Working
Need to open ports for gaming or remote access?
Navigate to NAT > Port Forwarding.
Input the local IP, start/end port, and protocol.
Save and reboot the router.
If port forwarding doesn’t work even after setup, check with PLDT support—some accounts are on CGNAT which restricts this function.
Preventive Maintenance Tips
Log into your pldthomewifisettings weekly to monitor devices.
Change your password monthly.
Keep firmware updated.
Avoid overloading your network with too many devices.
Preventive maintenance reduces the frequency of technical problems and improves long-term performance.

Strategic Intelligence in Incident Response: Your Silent Weapon Against Cyber Chaos
Your system detects a strange login attempt at 2:13 AM. Is it an anomaly? A harmless blip? Or the first sign of a major breach?
If your answer is: “Let’s investigate,” you’re already behind. If your answer is: “Our system flagged it, analyzed it, and blocked the threat—while alerting us,” you’re ahead of the curve.
This is what strategic intelligence in incident response looks like. And in 2025, it’s not just useful—it’s essential.
Here’s the brutal truth: Alerts don’t equal security
Ask any security team what their biggest problem is and you’ll hear the same thing again and again: noise.
Thousands of alerts. Half of them false positives. No clear prioritization. And most critically—no context.
That’s where strategic cyber threat intelligence flips the script. Instead of reacting to events in isolation, it helps you understand the bigger picture:
Who is targeting you?
What tools are they using?
Why you?
What should you do next?
It’s the difference between putting out fires and preventing arson.
Let’s break it down: What is “strategic” intelligence?
You’ve probably heard of threat intelligence before. But not all intelligence is created equal.
Tactical intelligence tells you there’s a malware signature to block.
Operational intelligence tells you a phishing campaign is active.
Strategic intelligence tells you which adversaries are most likely to target your industry, how they operate, and how to prepare for their evolving tactics.
Strategic intelligence isn’t just technical. It’s business-aligned. It helps CISOs and decision-makers translate cyber risk into business risk—and that changes everything.
Need proof? STL Digital’s cyber threat intelligence and incident response article goes deep into how organizations are using intelligence to pre-empt, not just respond.
A quick question: How often do you actually use your threat feeds?
Be honest. You may have feeds coming from every direction—SIEMs, firewalls, third-party tools—but how often do they actually inform your strategy?
If the answer is “rarely,” you’re not alone.
The problem isn’t the data—it’s the lack of interpretation. Strategic intelligence is about turning raw data into actionable insight. Not in hours or days. In real time.
When threat detection and intelligence are built into your incident response from the start, your team isn’t just reacting faster—they’re anticipating attacks before they land.
Why is this suddenly critical in 2025?
Three reasons.
Attackers are more coordinated. They’re sharing tools, buying access, and deploying AI themselves.
Attack surfaces are expanding. Every SaaS tool, every IoT device, every remote worker is a potential entry point.
Regulations are stricter than ever. Delayed response isn't just risky—it’s non-compliant.
In short, you can’t afford to just “see what happens” anymore. You need to know who’s coming, how they’ll come, and what to do when they do.
Let’s shift the focus: Incident response as a business strategy
Think of it this way. If you had a warehouse filled with expensive goods, you’d invest in surveillance, insurance, and emergency protocols.
So why do companies treat digital assets any differently?
Incident response isn’t just an IT protocol. It’s a business continuity plan. When handled strategically, it minimizes downtime, protects customer trust, and keeps operations moving—even during a crisis.
And when backed by strong intelligence, it’s not just faster—it’s smarter.
The key is integration. Not adding “yet another” dashboard, but weaving intelligence into your IR playbooks, your detection rules, and your escalation workflows.
STL Digital outlines how leading companies are achieving this in their detailed report on cyber intelligence.
Ask yourself: Do you know what a breach would really cost you?
It’s easy to think of a breach as a technical issue—patch the system, reset the passwords, move on.
But the true cost of a cyberattack includes:
Downtime across operations
Lost customer trust
Legal liabilities
Compliance violations
Damaged brand reputation
That’s why modern IR teams are no longer just responders—they’re advisors to the business. Their insights can influence product design, vendor decisions, even marketing strategy.
But only if their data is strategic, contextual, and timely.
So, what does strategic incident response actually look like?
It’s not a product. It’s not a policy document. It’s a capability—one that evolves as your threats evolve.
Here’s what a mature, intelligence-driven incident response framework includes:
Pre-built playbooks for top threat scenarios
Threat actor profiling tied to business units
Automated detection and containment
Business impact mapping
Executive dashboards with strategic risk insights
Sound like a lot? It is. But the good news: you don’t have to do it alone.
Partners like STL Digital help businesses build this capability step by step—starting from where you are now. Their cyber intelligence insights are a great place to begin.
One final question to reflect on:
If your team got an alert right now—this very second—would they know whether to ignore it, investigate it, or escalate it?
And would your leadership understand the business impact of that decision?
If not, it’s time to move beyond reactive security. Strategic intelligence isn’t just for defense—it’s for resilience. It empowers your team, informs your leaders, and gives your business the foresight it needs to navigate the threat landscape of 2025 and beyond.
So don’t wait for the breach. Plan, detect, and respond—strategically.

Merging Timelines Chapter Six
Upon arriving at the True Lab, Dust released Papyrus's arm, and he ran to the elevator, ignoring Papyrus's and Sans's questions on what he was doing. Dust closed the elevator doors, pushing the button to go up. Killer appeared in his vision a moment later, leaning against the left side of the elevator, fidgeting with a knife.
'so, it's about time this happened. i've been waiting for it.' Killer said, and Dust could feel his sight on him despite the void-like eye sockets.
"i'm not." Dust said.
'what?' Killer asked in confusion, eye sockets going wide and grin vanishing, and Sans appeared on the right side of the elevator, 'why not?'
"why do you think? this whole situation gets worse each time the timeline is rewound. saves don't do anything because the timeline still flows forward, reloads and resets on the other hand, those aren't that simple. now, if this is a genocide route like i think it is, our best bet is to hide in the true lab, saving who we can and protecting them on the off chance something goes wrong. i don't know about you, but i don't feel like making the situation much worse than it needs to be, especially not by making them keep reloading after being killed." Dust explained.
'good point. it's way too dangerous and risky.' Sans said.
'yeah. good thinking, dustbunny.' Killer said.
"dustbunny?" Dust asked, fighting back a smirk at the pun, and Killer snickered at the reaction.
(Yes I had Dust get the Cinnamon Bunnies specifically to make that pun and nickname. No regrets =D Tell me if you saw it coming in the comments =) )
'eh, why not?' Killer asked, shrugging a bit with a slight grin on his face.
Dust rolled his eyelights a bit, and Sans was laughing a bit.
'why do i get the feeling this'll be the new normal?' Sans asked.
'probably because it will be.' Killer snickered.
"not right now, this is a serious situation, killer." Dust said, closing his eye sockets for a moment as he sighed. When he opened them again, he and Sans burst out in a fit of laughter.
Killer was standing there with his arms crossed, a smirk on his face as he made bunny ears and tail appear on himself. Sans was in hysterics, cyan and yellow tears in his eye sockets as he cried laughing, and Dust was close to the same.
'hop hop, motherfu-~'
The door to the elevator opened, Dust exiting, trying to breathe after laughing so hard, Sans could feel himself suffocating as Killer just hopped past Dust, the fluffy tail twitching behind him. Dust had to take a moment to try and compose himself, reminding himself of the situation at hand, and Killer made himself look normal again with a snap of his fingers. Dust had to wipe a purple tear from each eye socket after calming down.
"that... is the hardest i've laughed in a very long time..." Dust said, snickering.
'you're welcome!~' Killer said, pleased with himself.
Dust walked over to Alphys's computers, typing in a password and pushing some buttons, activation evacuation protocol, and had everyone come to The Lab. Dust had a plan in his mind, something he'd tried before in his timeline, and while he'd been successful, no matter how many times he'd saved everyone, the brat would always Reset. Luckily for him, there was more than one brat in the body, so if they Reset, it could be Frisk, Riley, or another pacifist, heck, even a neutral, but if they tried hurting Papyrus, he doubted Sans or even Killer would let that happen. Dust had a feeling Killer wasn't as detached as he pretended to be. He'd seen Killer's reaction to his memory, and he knew something had been there, he just wasn't sure what. What had happened to Killer? His soul was a target, but... something seemed off at the beginning of this Reset, if only for a minute.
"S-Sans?" Alphys asked, approaching him, "W-What's wrong?"
"there's a human killing monsters in the underground, and i'm trying to save as many monsters as possible." Dust explained, and Alphys's eyes widened in shock.
"Th-That's horrible! Thank you f-for doing this! Y-You're saving a-a lot of lives with th-this warning!" Alphys thanked him.
Dust was spreading the news as he went, telling everyone to go to Hotlands and to The Lab. He was checking through the smaller, more isolated areas of Waterfall, and he heard the ground crack open, and he saw Flowey pop out of the ground.
"Whatcha up to, Smiley Trashbag?" Flowey asked, and Dust sighed.
'i never realized it, but you act like flowey sometimes, killer.' Sans snickered, and Dust fought to keep any humor off of his expression.
'wh-what?! take that back!' Killer snapped, and Sans laughed.
"none of your business, weed." Dust replied, narrowing his eye sockets at him. He didn't have time for this.
"You seem different." Flowey observed, "What gives? You've been acting weird these last few Resets, and I wanna know why."
"it's none of your business." Dust said.
"Well, I'm making it my business. Last Reset you fought Mettaton, what even was that stuff coming out of your eye sockets anyways?" Flowey asked.
'dustyyy~ please, please let me talk with him~ pretty please with a cherry on top~' Killer asked, giving Dust puppy eyes. Dust just looked away. 'killjoy.'
"as i said, it's none of your business." Dust said.
"Fine, then at least answer this: Why are you evacuating everyone? You're actually involved in this." Flowey asked, tilting his head.
"because i don't want everyone dying." Dust said.
"You mean you don't want Papyrus dying, and the others are just for extra credit?~" Flowey asked, and Dust glared off to the side, "I see I'm right. Alright, now we're getting somewhere."
"are you really just here to piss me off?" Dust asked.
'i am not! i'm way better than that stupid dandelion!' Killer disagreed, and Sans gave him a flat look.
'aww, don't talk bad about your own reflection, kills.' Sans snickered, and Killer pointed a knife at Sans, his target soul shining brightly.
'guys, can i deal with this without you two pissing each other off?' Dust asked.
'no.' Sans and Killer replied at the same time, and Dust sighed out loud.
"look, flowey, i'm really busy right now, can't we do this another time?" Dust asked as Sans and Killer surprisingly quieted down, instead just glaring at each other and muttering things that Dust wasn't paying attention to.
"do that, and i assure you that i will make your life hell." Dust threatened.
Flowey grinned at him, "Then tell me what's going on. Things are changing around here, and you seem to be at the center of it. What gives?"
"i don't know, and i don't care." Dust replied, crossing his arms.
'i know! i know!' Killer pipped up, holding his right arm up and jumping up and down in the air. Dust ignored him.
"Well, how's about we find out?" Flowey asked.
"i don't have time for this, so no. now if you'll excuse me, asriel, i have things to do." Dust said, turning around and started walking, leaving Flowey sputtering and Sans in shock at the revelation of who Flowey is. Killer just seemed indifferent, as he probably knew too.
Flowey grabbed Dust's ankle with a vine, pulling him into the air as his face contorted so it looked like a Jack-O-Lantern, and he asked, "H o w  d o  y o u  k n o w  m y  n a m e?"
"i know lots of things, and if you want answers, you won't do anything to papyrus. if you do, i won't tell you anything out of pure spite." Dust said, and Flowey dropped him.
"And you didn't reveal you knew this until just now?" Flowey asked, receiving a nod, "Interesting. I'm looking forward to the next Reset, Sans, I think we have a lot to discuss."
Flowey went back into the ground, and Dust rolled his eyelights, them turning into white dots again as he started walking, and he continued evacuating everyone. He got to Hotlands, and he teleported to the bunker in The True Lab, and Alphys jumped at his sudden appearance. Sans saw everyone else there, thankfully still including....
"BROTHER!" Papyrus greeted, waving, "I HEARD THERE WAS A DRILL! I HEARD IT WAS ALSO A RACE! THANKS TO YOU, I GOT FIRST PLACE GETTING HERE! NYEH HEH HEH HEH!"
Killer sighed a bit at the behavior, and he snapped his fingers, going into Sans's subconscious. Sans still didn't understand that about Killer.
"What's this about, Sans?" Undyne asked, walking over, "Alphys told me you triggered the drill."
"it's.... undyne, can we talk in private?" Dust asked.
"Why?" Undyne asked.
"it's..." Dust looked at Papyrus, who was humming happily.
"i'll tell you later." Dust lied, and he followed after Undyne, looking down. He didn't miss Alphys's sympathetic and sad look from the corner of his vision.
Once they got enough distance from the others, Undyne turned to look at Dust, "So, what's really going on here, punk?"
"there's a human slaughtering whoever they can find in the underground for the lv, so i evacuated everyone. that way they can't become too powerful to defeat asgore, so he can kill them and take their soul himself to break the barrier." Dust said, though he was lying. There was no escaping this place, but he wouldn't break that news to the others. Sans was leaning against a wall behind Undyne, watching.
Undyne looked rightfully angry that someone was doing that, and asked, her eye narrowed, "How many casualties?"
"everyone in the ruins by the looks of it, and some snowdin residents. i got everyone out past that." Dust answered.
"Good work. Here I thought you were just some lazy sentry who only joined for your brother. Didn't think you had it in you." Undyne said, impressed.
"thanks. everyone here from the rest of hotland?" Dust asked.
"I think so, except for Muffet. Alphys doesn't wanna lock down the Underground without her in here." Undyne said.
"...... i'll be right back." Dust said, and he teleported out. Killer appeared next to him, and Sans was standing by the door into where Muffet was.
'can i do it? please?~' Killer begged, 'i've been craving some action, and you've been doing a bunch of boring pacifist bullcrap the whole timeline. i wanna have some fun this timeline!'
'i trust you less than i trust dust, and i don't think he trusts you either.' Sans said.
'why? why don't you trust little old me?~' Killer asked, grinning, right eye socket half closed.
'because you're a complete and utter psycho.' Sans deadpanned.
'he's got a point.' Dust agreed.
'.... what if i didn't hurt her that bad? a few scuffs and that's it.' Killer offered, 'please! i'm going stir crazy!'
Dust sighed, and nodded. Killer beamed at him.
'thanks, dusty!' Killer tackled him in a hug, subsequently pushing Dust out of control of Sans's body and putting himself in the figurative drivers seat, pulling his hood down.
Killer was practically vibrating with energy, bouncing on his feet with a massive grin on his face. Dust was questioning his decision and Sans was ready for damage control to be necessary. Killer practically skipped in, kicking the door open.
"Oh! Hello, deary!" Muffet greeted, pouring herself some tea.
"hey. heard you weren't coming for the drill?" Killer asked, tilting his head a bit and closing his right eye socket slightly.
"Hmm? Oh, no! Why, there's this child who stole from me, and I intend to... make them pay." Muffet said, "By the way, you seem different. You seem to have some pep in your step too."
"what can i say? i'm feeling energetic. with that said, the drill's mandatory, sooo...." Killer trailed off, pointing at the door behind him with his thumb.
"And yet they sent you to come get me." Muffet said.
"i sent myself. now come on, the brat can wait." Killer said.
"I'd rather not." Muffet said.
"that wasn't a request." Killer said, serious.
"Was that a threat?" Muffet asked, her eyes narrowing at him.
"what do you think?" Killer asked, eye sockets narrowing, and she shot webs at him, and he teleported out of the way.
She blinked in confusion before she received a flying kick to the face. The spiders around them all lunged at Killer, and he dodged, running out of the way, teleporting above Muffet, and when she went to use webbing on him, he teleported out of the way. Upon landing, several webs shot at him, and he backflipped over them, jumping to a wall as more shot where he landed. He jumped off the wall as spiders flew at him, and he skidded to a stop on the floor, using a bone shield to block more webs, teleporting away as more came at him from behind.
Muffet's pet emerged from the depths of the room, charging at him, biting and roaring. Killer dodged each attempt it made to bite him, making it crash into walls by evading it. He pierced it with a few bones before pinning it to a wall with more bones before finally bringing up a wall of bones around it, ensuring it would stay there and couldn't cause any further complications. It roared at him in rage, breaking free from the wall but it couldn't escape the bones.
He used the impact of an attack to propel himself up to a ledge, jumping off of it and onto a wall and used a sharp bone to cut long webs off at the top, and he grabbed the strands in bunches. From there, he jumped down next to Muffet, a grin on his face, right eye socket half closed, and he quickly ran around her. He was running faster than Dust and Sans even knew the body could go, alternating between teleportation and running, sliding and jumping over attacks that came at him. He pulled the strings taut upon reaching the end of the strands, and Muffet fell to the ground, struggling.
"How dare you?! Do you realize who you're-?!" Killer stuffed a spider donut in her mouth, and all that could be heard was furious muffled words, likely cursing him out. He grabbed some of the web, grinning in satisfaction as he took the time to drag her back to the True Lab, and Dust appeared in front of him.
'how....?' Dust started.
'i'm just that good. i'll give ya control back when i get back there.' Killer said.
'all you're doing is just pissing her off.' Sans pointed out, appearing next to Dust in the blink of an eye.
Killer just grinned at them, right eye socket closing half-way, and they both sighed in exasperation. The walk back wasn't too long, and Dust got control back at the door to The Lab, and he put his hood back up. He stepped inside, Killer still snickering in the depths of their subconscious, and he dragged Muffet to the elevator, going down it and heading to the bunker. Everyone looked over at him when the door opened, all surprised. Dust dropped her by Undyne after the door to the elevator closed, and he teleported to a couch, taking a much needed break.
'you ok?' Sans asked.
'yeah, killer just drained my stamina.' Dust replied, and Killer snickered darkly, appearing crouched in a frog-like position on one of the arms of the couch.
'might wanna rephrase that, dustbunny~' Killer snickered, and Dust glared daggers at him as Sans's jaw dropped a bit, eye sockets widening in shock.
'how long are you gonna act like this?' Dust asked.
'as long as i feel like it, dustaroo~' Killer replied.
'i'm going to stab you.' Dust threatened. He didn't know how, but he'd find a way.
'he's probably a masochist, that won't do much.' Sans sighed.
'damn...' Dust cursed.
Killer snickered, turning around to bend his back at an unnatural degree, holding himself up with an arm on the back of the couch, and he grinned at Dust, face upside down.
'you're going to fall.' Dust warned with no concern.
'only for you~' Killer grinned wider somehow, and Dust looked done with everything.
'stop doing that.' Dust said.
'nah, i'm good~' Killer replied.
'you're bored, aren't you?' Sans asked, walking to stand next to the couch, leaning against the back of it and looking at Killer.
'yup!' Killer replied, and in the blink of an eye, he was back to crouching on the arm of the couch, grinning at them, 'what do you guys wanna do?'
'i want to take a break and enjoy some peace and quiet,' Dust replied.
'boooooriiiiing!' Killer said, 'come on, can't we do something fun??'
'from what i've seen, that target means he's gonna be irritating.' Dust pointed out. 'he seemed different for a bit that last reset, when it was in the shape of a monster soul, and this morning before he went back to how he usually is. odds are his soul was briefly like ours before it went back to that target.'
'what do you think it means?' Sans asked.
Dust closed his eye sockets, 'it's killer's soul changing, it probably means something much bigger than we realize.'
Sans couldn't help but agree, and after a bit, Dust had fallen asleep. Sans didn't know how much time had passed before Dust was being shaken awake, Alphys looking at him with a guilty expression on her face as he opened his eye sockets. "S-Sans?" Alphys asked.
"what's up?" Dust asked.
"I... um... Papyrus, he.... he overheard me telling Undyne more about the human... He... he went out to go 'help by bringing them to Asgore'..." Alphys said.
Dust's eyelights lit up cyan and red in panic, a purple flame bursting to life in his left eye socket, and Alphys immediately looked afraid.
"what?! when did he leave?!" Dust asked, sitting up and looking at Alphys, desperate for answers.
"A... A few m-minutes ago..." Alphys replied, and Dust bolted to the camera system set up in the bunker, flipping through the cameras, shaking as he looked for any signs of Papyrus.
Sans appeared next to him, looking worried aswell, and Dust could feel shivers going down his spine. He hadn't felt this feeling in a very long time. Was this that concern that Sans was talking about that morning? Was this what it was? That magic freezing feeling that stabbed into your soul when someone you cared for was in danger or hurting? No... this was that and something else.... Dust vaguely remembered it being fear.... He didn't like it.
"S-Sans, please! Calm down!" Alphys begged of him.
Dust glared daggers into her soul before going back to searching, and he snapped, "i don't want to hear it. you could be getting my little brother killed, and it'd be on your head."
Alphys looked down in shame, Dust could see her in the reflection of the computer screen. Dust saw a flash of red by the entrance to Hotland, and he immediately turned the computer off and teleported close to where Papyrus was. His brother was nowhere in sight upon arrival, and Dust broke out in a run, trying to get to Papyrus as fast as he could. He ran as fast as he could, Determined to get there, to save him.... but he was too late.
He arrived just in time to see the brat walking past his dust. How had they dealt so much damage to him so fast? With their low LV, it shouldn't be possible, not unless they had a high desire to kill. He'd seen Undyne get killed with one hit before, when he'd watched the kid do Genocide Runs in his timeline. That had probably happened this time too.
"NO!!" Dust shouted, and in his rage, summoned a Gaster Blaster, it's size rivaling the size of Killer's, and it looked like Sans's regular Gaster Blasters, but the eyelights matched Dust's, and the edges seemed sharper. Dust blasted it at the kid, killing them in one hit.
RELOAD
Dust's eye sockets snapped open when Alphys woke him up, and he immediately teleported to the fight, and he didn't even hesitate to get hit by the blow that would've killed Papyrus. The brat looked at him in shock, and Dust felt the wound slash across his ribcage. He flung the murderous brat back into a wall, and he grabbed Papyrus's arm, teleporting them back to the bunker, shaking on his feet as he looked back at Papyrus, and he felt his HP was dangerously low, but it wouldn't kill him. The adrenaline was wearing off, and he was exhausted, and the room was spinning a little.
"BROTHER?" Papyrus asked, voice full of concern.
"you ok?..." Dust asked.
"I.... I AM OK, YES." Papyrus replied, still processing.
"good.." Dust said, sighing in relief.
"S-Sans?.." Alphys asked, looking at him with horror, and he saw several others looking at him with similar expressions.
That was one of the last things he perceived before he fell unconscious, Papyrus catching him as he fell, Alphys shouting "SANS!" as she ran over to him.

Is Your Biometric Attendance Machine Secure? 5 Things to Check
In an era where digital transformation is reshaping workplaces, the biometric machine for attendance has become a vital device in modern workforce management. These devices offer undeniable advantages - automating attendance, eliminating buddy punching, and enhancing employee accountability. However, as biometric systems become widespread, questions around security and data privacy have become more pressing than ever.
Biometric data is sensitive by nature. Unlike passwords or access cards, your fingerprint or facial pattern cannot be reset or replaced. This makes it critical for organizations to ensure that their biometric systems are not just efficient, but also secure.
Tumblr media
So how do you know if your biometric machine for attendance is truly secure? In this blog, we outline five key things to check before choosing or continuing to use a biometric attendance system - and how modern solutions like Spintly are helping companies strike the perfect balance between functionality and safety.
1. Data Encryption: Is the Biometric Data Secured at Every Level?
The first and most important aspect to examine in a biometric machine for attendance is whether the data it collects is encrypted. Biometric data should be encrypted both at rest (when stored) and in transit (while being transferred across networks). If not properly encrypted, this data can become an easy target for hackers.
Look for machines and systems that:
Use advanced encryption standards like AES-256.
Avoid storing raw biometric images and instead convert data into secure templates.
Ensure end-to-end encryption between the device and the backend system.
Companies like Spintly understand these risks and offer solutions that prioritize encrypted biometric data transmission through secure cloud channels, minimizing the threat of interception or misuse.
2. Cloud Security and Compliance: Is Your Vendor Meeting Industry Standards?
If your biometric machine for attendance is connected to a cloud-based platform, the security of that cloud infrastructure becomes critical. Ask these questions:
Is the vendor compliant with global data protection laws like GDPR or India’s DPDP Act?
Are their servers hosted in secure environments (such as ISO 27001-certified data centers)?
Do they offer audit trails, data logs, and role-based access to minimize internal threats?
Cloud-based systems bring enormous flexibility, allowing real-time attendance tracking across locations. Providers like Spintly go a step further by offering enterprise-grade cloud security and granular control features, giving admins confidence that sensitive employee data is never left vulnerable.
3. Device Integrity and Tamper Protection
A biometric machine for attendance is a physical device installed in your office or site and it’s not immune to tampering. Devices should be built with mechanisms that:
Detect unauthorized attempts to open or alter them.
Send real-time alerts if someone tries to manipulate hardware or firmware.
Allow remote locking or disabling in case of compromise.
Without these protections, someone could potentially extract stored biometric templates or install malicious firmware. Spintly, for instance, offers sleek, wireless biometric devices with secure firmware and anti-tamper protocols, reducing risks even in high-traffic or semi-public spaces.
4. User Consent and Privacy Features
One often-overlooked aspect of biometric machine for attendance security is how consent is managed. Collecting biometric data without informing employees or giving them control can lead to legal issues and mistrust. The right system should:
Provide a clear user enrollment process that includes consent.
Offer mechanisms to withdraw or delete biometric data when an employee leaves.
Ensure that data is only used for the intended purpose - attendance tracking.
Transparency and user trust are as important as encryption. Modern vendors like Spintly embed these privacy-first features directly into their onboarding process, ensuring ethical and compliant use of biometric technology.
5. Integration with Access Control and HR Systems
If your biometric machine for attendance is integrated with other systems like access control, payroll, or HRMS - each connection becomes a potential point of vulnerability. Poorly designed integrations can expose employee data, allow backdoor access, or create sync issues.
Choose platforms that:
Use secure APIs for integration.
Allow fine-grained permissions and data segregation.
Offer continuous software updates to patch vulnerabilities.
A unified platform like Spintly reduces this risk by offering seamless, native integration between its biometric attendance machines, access control systems, and cloud-based dashboards - minimizing the need for third-party apps and keeping your data ecosystem secure.
Bonus Tip: Regular Updates and Vendor Support
No matter how secure your biometric machine for attendance is today, new threats emerge constantly. Regular firmware and software updates are crucial for addressing security vulnerabilities. Reliable vendors should:
Provide consistent updates and notify clients proactively.
Offer dedicated support channels for security queries or breaches.
Conduct periodic security audits and share findings with customers.
Spintly, for example, is committed to keeping its devices and platforms ahead of the curve with OTA (over-the-air) updates and robust technical support, ensuring your investment remains safe for years to come.
Conclusion
In the digital workplace, securing employee data is not just about compliance - it’s about trust. A biometric machine for attendance may bring convenience and efficiency, but its effectiveness depends heavily on how secure and well-managed it is.
By focusing on the five core areas - data encryption, cloud security, device integrity, user privacy, and safe integrations - you can ensure that your attendance system serves as an asset rather than a liability.
Organizations serious about long-term security and scalability should consider biometric solutions from trusted providers like Spintly. With cloud-native infrastructure, mobile-first features, and a deep focus on data protection, Spintly’s biometric attendance systems offer not just reliability but peace of mind.
In a world where biometric data is both powerful and personal, investing in the right system can protect your people, your reputation, and your bottom line.

OTP Blast Made Easy: Automation Software and Reliable OTP Service Providers
In today's fast-paced digital landscape, delivering secure and timely communication to users is essential—especially when it comes to OTP services. One-time passwords (OTPs) are a critical part of two-factor authentication, protecting sensitive transactions and user logins. To ensure efficiency, businesses now rely heavily on robust automation software tool solutions and trusted otp service providers to handle the task seamlessly.
One of the key challenges businesses face is sending a large number of OTPs quickly and reliably. That’s where otp blast comes into play. An otp blast is the mass distribution of OTPs through SMS or email, triggered automatically by an automation software tool. This is crucial for companies that deal with high traffic, such as e-commerce platforms, financial services, and digital apps. A quality otp provider ensures these messages are delivered instantly and securely.
Choosing the right otp service providers is vital to achieving uninterrupted user verification processes. A good otp provider offers fast delivery, high uptime, and secure encryption protocols. Combined with an efficient automation software tool, businesses can automate the entire OTP process—from generation to delivery—without manual intervention.
One of the standout platforms offering this kind of integration is Office24by7. With their advanced automation software tool, businesses can set up, schedule, and manage otp services effortlessly. Whether it's a one-time message or a full-scale otp blast, Office24by7 delivers with reliability and speed. Their services are designed to meet the needs of small startups to large enterprises, ensuring smooth and safe digital operations.
The role of automation cannot be overstated. By leveraging a powerful automation software tool, companies not only reduce human error but also improve response time and customer satisfaction. Integration with CRM systems, user databases, and mobile apps makes it possible to send OTPs in real-time during user activity—be it login, transaction confirmation, or password resets.
For any business looking to improve its otp services, it's important to partner with experienced otp service providers like Office24by7. They offer customizable options for every use case and can handle high-volume otp blast requirements with ease.
In conclusion, the right blend of a reliable otp provider, scalable otp services, and a smart automation software tool is the key to delivering secure and fast user authentication. With partners like Office24by7, businesses can stay ahead of the curve and keep their customers protected.
