-pat first meets bud and bud is super ingratiating towards him. of course, pat and ESPECIALLY rey is freaked out, so they ask geo about what’s going on and geo says “oh, that’s just what he’s like when he likes someone!”

-bud decides to take pat and rey (because he knows rey now) on a date to a cooking class. pat keeps screwing up the recipes because he’s just not good at cooking so rey ends up taking over because “you definitely suck at cooking”. rey finds out he’s actually good at cooking, and when he shows bud the fruits of his labor, bud excitedly squeals and goes “you should totally make some for all of our friends!” rey feels finally connected and feels like he has friends and a diamour he trusts, and that pat trusts.

Ok that's a good way too deal with Pat's charater so hear is the short roadmap I have so far

Pat will still fight as Gemini Spark, because of Rey and Gemini

Pat will get defeated causing Rey too go dormat and Gemini too flee

Star Force 2 Pat is around and friends with Geo and Sleuth/Tamer, however suffers a moment of extreme axiety that causes Rey too come out again. Rey has fused himself with the left over remnants of Gemini's power within Pat causing Gemini Spark too come back. Are 2 main heroes Geo and Sleuth/Tamer defeat Gemini Spark, causing Pat too regain control, only this time Rey is around and merged with Gemini's remnants now becomes Pat's Guardian/Wizard, still building upon this idea

By the 3rd game like you said Pat and Rey have managed too find peace and work in tandem with each other
