It genuinely saddens me how people are constantly leaking stuff from Gatobob's Patreon, im just as excited as YKMET, as any other fan of the series but if you wanna support Gato through the development process at least do the 1$ Patreon, or if you can’t do that, just wait patiently until any official updates and NOT leak and repost every single new panel and line of dialogue that is added to her Patreon, not only does it spoil most of the new stuff for people that dont intend on seeing it, but it's just plain rude to her, as the creator of something we all love.

Dick, Tim, and Damian are guests on a Gotham themed podcast titled Gastly Gotham, mostly focused on the weird shit that goes on. This episode is about the Wayne family particularly and the interview is used mostly as a soft open for the episode.

All three of the Waynes, surname assumed or not, sit across from the two hosts at a large circular table. While there are microphones aplenty, there is also a camera trained on the table. The video is going to be a Patreon exclusive, the hosts explain.

They chat politely a bit to warm up and one of the hosts, Allison, discovers that she and Tim both took 11th grade English with a Mr. Rhodes, though at different schools and years apart.

"Was he the straw that broke the camel's back?" Allison asks sympathetically. "I know I would have loved to drop out just to avoid one of those stupid papers. Everything was always 'too rushed, Allison' and he always told me, 'explain yourself more, Allison'."

Tim laughed along, but shook his head.

"Believe it or not, he wasn't. Well, maybe indirectly."

"PLEASE say more. What was it that made you drop out like a cool kid?"

"Full disclosure, it's nothing like what you're thinking and I'm not sure you'll be able to put it in the show," Tim explained. When the hosts only clamoured for more, Tim acquiesced.

"We had to break out into these little groups in our English class. We were supposed to be talking about where we were on assignments and getting feedback, right?" Tim waited for everyone to nod. "Well my group got to be pretty friendly and, uh. One of the girls started sharing some of her personal writings with us as well."

"No good?" the other host, Josie, asked.

"Honestly I took too much psychic damage to pass judgement on the quality of the writing," Tim said, shaking his head. "See, she wrote almost exclusively rated R SuperBat mpreg RPF and wasn't shy about reading it out loud to us."

As Allison and Josie fell into hysterics, Dick frowned.

"I didn't understand a word of that. But I guess from the context, that's probably for the best, right?"

"This is a truly tragic day to have ears," Damian grumbled, scrunching down in his seat. At his brothers look, he defended himself, "I did not understand all of it!"

"I was raised by the internet, but what's your excuse?" Tim asked.

"Public schooling."

"Ah," Tim nodded. "Warrior Cats fans or My Little Pony?"

"Wolf girls."

"I'm so sorry," Tim says, looking truly contrite. "Thoughts and prayers, man."

Damian stoically nodded and gave his thanks.

It's just a 2-minute clip posted on Amazon's Twitter as another teaser for the series premiere this Friday (Jan 19), but the exposition done by Charlie explains why things are how they are

I'll break it down below the cut:

So there are important deviations from Biblical canon, which some fans assumed would be canon for the show: firstly, Lucifer is not God's favorite angel. God isn't even mentioned in this segment. Instead, it's the Elder Angels who take a leadership role in creating the universe. They view Lucifer's creative ideas as "dangerous" to the idealistic order they're trying to build

Secondly, Adam and Lilith were created as equals, but Adam demanded her submission---which Lilith refused. She wasn't banished from the Garden of Eden as punishment, instead fleeing from Adam. There's no mention of the angels trying to stop her or bring her back to Eden, which leads to Eve's creation

Thirdly, Lucifer didn't tempt Eve by himself or for nefarious reasons. Instead, he and Lilith wanted to give humanity the free will to create and act for themselves. Of course, free will is the freedom to choose between right and wrong and some humans do choose wrong---which leads to evil spreading and Heaven's order being upended

Fourth, as punishment for inadvertently causing evil to spread, Heaven imprisons Lucifer and Lilith in Hell. Effectively throwing salt into the wound, Lucifer is further punished by "seeing only the evil in mankind" (by nature of sinners being damned to Hell)

We're not told about the other six Deadly Sins, but from this clip, we know that Lucifer isn't trying to make people evil---which leads us to our fifth big deviation:

Fifth, Lucifer isn't trying to "spite" Heaven by meddling in mortal lives or trying to "overthrow" Heaven by raising an army of sinners, which is the narrative usually told by the Abrahamic religions. Instead, Lucifer "lost the will to dream" and just walks off

But in Lucifer's relative absence, Lilith steps in: "empowering demonkind with her voice and her songs". While Lucifer laments, Lilith thrives. This will probably be explained later when we see Lilith in the show, though it seems Lilith is actually the active ruler of Hell and has goals for demonkind. What those goals are, we'll have to wait and see

Sixth, as a result of demons becoming more powerful and more numerous (through sinners being damned), Heaven decided on the annual purge. Though we haven't seen Hell act against Heaven, Heaven is definitely worried about Hell's rising power and took the most extreme preventative measure: exterminating sinners each year so that Hell can't oppose Heaven. Whether there's an established quota or the Exorcists just kill as much as they can, we're not told (yet)

Lastly, but by no means least---it might actually be the biggest plot point---Charlie's motivation for rehabilitating demons is related to Lilith and her goals: not only does the narration say "But Lilith's dream lived on, passed down to Charlie", Charlie outright says "I'll make you proud, Mom" at the end

This is a monumental difference from the Pilot Episode, wherein Charlie worries she's disappointing her parents and questions whether she's a "failure". She's not interfering in Hell's affairs or going against her parents' wishes by starting this rehab project, she's doing this for Lilith specifically---to make her dreams a reality
