Nothing I Expected

Irish Wish was a delightful surprise. I was expecting another below-mediocre romcom with a ton of cringe moments. That being said, was this a wonderfully constructed film? Not exactly. Were there no cringe moments? None that would get my eyes rolling. However, it was still a fun time and as compared to Lindsay Lohan's other (Christmas) romcom film, this is much better, way more enjoyable.

I am not sure if Irish Wish was inspired by any folklore or if there was an inspiration, was it accurate or not. However, the fantasy aspect of this movie was actually fun to watch. I liked that when the wish came true, we don't see Maddie immediately wanting to undo the wish. In fact, Maddie did not want to undo the wish until the very end. The film was not Maddie trying to undo everything but rather her trying to accept her new reality even if it was as ridiculous as she thought. That made the watching experience fun.

The only regret I felt from this movie was that James had no memories of their relationship during the wish. For some reason, I really wanted him to remember the Maddie he got acquainted with during the wish.
