The Hatchetfield Players absolutely put on a jukebox musical about the life of Peanuts the squirrel called “Peanuts the Musical: Story of a Squirrel” at some point in multiple timelines. The title song is just Absolutely by Nine Days but every use of the world “girl” is replaced with “squirrel” (“this is the story of a squirrel/who cried a river and drowned the whole world”). It’s a huge hit in Hatchetfield, but they don’t have the rights to any of the songs used so they get shut down within like a week. Officer Bailey flips a table when he finds out.

Also the script for it wins the contest that Hidgens wins in Workin’ Boys, so in the timelines where this happens, Workin’ Boys doesn’t. Ruth gets a bit part and the director is actually pretty encouraging and understanding with her stage fright and also not a murderer, so they work with Ruth on it and she says her line perfectly :)

these are all SPECIFICALLY meant to be things that weren't usually relevant if at all to the plot/game of blaseball, just small stuff, hence the exclusion of things like wimdies or the chaos of all you can eat or the actual ballpark expansions themselves

Family gatherings can get real hectic real fast with this family.

On my post about Curt Mega characters should be a part of the Jon Matteson character family tree @mistoelectra (sorry for the @) brought up Papa Ed and Peanuts and I really wanted to draw them.

Bonus: Papa Ed and Peanuts hanging out after they got home.

Honestly when looking at pictures of Papa Ed all I can imagine is that Peanuts is like his emotional support squirrel. He’s a proud squirrel dad guys.
