Is it just me or was it a lot easier to get into things a few years back? When nobody really cared about—at least not as much—how bad/cringe you were because everyone was like that then. Cuz idk, maybe it’s just me, but I found it so much easier to join online communities before I developed insecurities in my writing style and the way I draw or even simple interests bcs it’s super hard to tell people things you like without being cyber jumped by a bunch of upset high schoolers n stuff. Since apparently I'm getting emotional about Scott Summers today, I'm just gonna say real quick that years later, I still to this day am haunted by this one otherwise amazing fic that I read (amazing enough that I still really enjoy it in spite of this one thing that I determinedly ignore) where Scott and Jean show up as supporting characters (because Nate) and the protagonist tears them new ones for their privileged picket fence upbringing because some people had shit childhoods and Scott couldn't possibly know what that's like.

Dude, there are no words that can encompass that degree of Does Not Know Scott.

There is NO canonical interaction to justify shipping them...but even so they are better than Snow and Lucy together XD. Again, mostly because of how much Snow would lose it over Lucy chooseing bby Sejanus over him.

when I see people complained they pulled a 5 star they didn't want in genshin or star rail because they were trying to ~build pity for the character they want~ (and usually got them early pity) I always have to laugh at them because,,, why are you doing that??? build pity on the banner of the character you want so if you get a banner 5 star it's them lmao. that's the most obvious logical thing to do. "building" pity isn't actually a thing if you think about it, since you can get a 5 star at 0 pity. it's more like you gain it. you have no control over it. so instead, just wait and pull on the banner you want.

why dont people realize it's a bad idea until that happens lmao. do they truly not know this will happen, or is it simply being impatient and paying for it? normalize doing pulls only on banners you want and not trying to "build pity." being impatient like that kinda deserves it tbh 😂

was completely mystified for days by my cousins being like “let’s watch a movie!” and then BOTH OF THEM proceeding to stare at their phones throughout the entire film, glancing at the screen only whenever the dialogue or a musical cue implied that something Important was happening, only to realize that the issue is that modern films don’t rely on nearly as many purely visual elements as older films did, so my poor cousins missed over 50% of the jokes because i didn’t think to warn them that, when watching films directed by people who got their start before films had dialogue, you actually need to WATCH them to understand what is happening.
