the older I get, the more the technological changes I've lived through as a millennial feel bizarre to me. we had computers in my primary school classroom; I first learned to type on a typewriter. I had a cellphone as a teenager, but still needed a physical train timetable. my parents listened to LP records when I was growing up; meanwhile, my childhood cassette tape collection became a CD collection, until I started downloading mp3s on kazaa over our 56k modem internet connection to play in winamp on my desktop computer, and now my laptop doesn't even have a disc tray. I used to save my word documents on floppy discs. I grew up using the rotary phone at my grandparents' house and our wall-connected landline; my mother's first cellphone was so big, we called it The Brick. I once took my desktop computer - monitor, tower and all - on the train to attend a LAN party at a friend's house where we had to connect to the internet with physical cables to play together, and where one friend's massive CRT monitor wouldn't fit on any available table. as kids, we used to make concertina caterpillars in class with the punctured and perforated paper strips that were left over whenever anything was printed on the room's dot matrix printer, which was outdated by the time I was in high school. VHS tapes became DVDs, and you could still rent both at the local video store when I was first married, but those shops all died out within the next six years. my facebook account predates the iphone camera - I used to carry around a separate digital camera and manually upload photos to the computer in order to post them; there are rolls of undeveloped film from my childhood still in envelopes from the chemist's in my childhood photo albums. I have a photo album from my wedding, but no physical albums of my child; by then, we were all posting online, and now that's a decade's worth of pictures I'd have to sort through manually in order to create one. there are video games I tell my son about but can't ever show him because the consoles they used to run on are all obsolete and the games were never remastered for the new ones that don't have the requisite backwards compatibility. I used to have a walkman for car trips as a kid; then I had a discman and a plastic hardshell case of CDs to carry around as a teenager; later, a friend gave my husband and I engraved matching ipods as a wedding present, and we used them both until they stopped working; now they're obsolete. today I texted my mother, who was born in 1950, a tiktok upload of an instructional video for girls from 1956 on how to look after their hair and nails and fold their clothes. my father was born four years after the invention of colour televison; he worked in radio and print journalism, and in the years before his health declined, even though he logically understood that newspapers existed online, he would clip out articles from the physical paper, put them in an envelope and mail them to me overseas if he wanted me to read them. and now I hold the world in a glass-faced rectangle, and I have access to everything and ownership of nothing, and everything I write online can potentially be wiped out at the drop of a hat by the ego of an idiot manchild billionaire. as a child, I wore a watch, but like most of my generation, I stopped when cellphones started telling us the time and they became redundant. now, my son wears a smartwatch so we can call him home from playing in the neighbourhood park, and there's a tanline on his wrist ike the one I haven't had since the age of fifteen. and I wonder: what will 2030 look like?

just a boring brain dump while I rest
Well it's very nice out and not so fucken wimdy as it has been so I decided to get started on yard work. Which, at the end of April is A Lot. The grass is high enough that I'll have to use a weed whacker. Everything else is just growing, especially the viney weeds, the Rose of Sharon which multiplies like wet gremlins every year, and the Actual Plants. I kind of did a little bit everywhere, I had to cut stuff back to get to the back of the property and I need to get that taken care of because it won't be long before I will once again not be able to get back there due to overgrowth. Though, this year, I have more time on my hands because I also told my boss I am not doing any of the live-in dog sits she had requests for. I sure could use the money but it's not enough to warrant the distraction, really, and if I keep at it I will sell a bunch of my stuff and have a little bit of income after all. So I cut back some stuff and raked up part of it and put it in a trash can. I also came across the bags of compost and peat I had bought a few years back after i'd read Square Foot Gardening and had convinced myself that this time I could and would start and maintain a garden, for reals this time. So, convinced once again I could make a better go of it this year with seeds I purchased 3 or 5 weeks ago that should have been started indoors before I'd even returned from Germany but instead were still sitting in their packets on the table, I decided to fill up the standing planter I'd assembled last year, after sitting in my basement for 3-10 years and had tried unsuccessfully to grow something or other in there. Kale, I think. actually I think it grew but stopped when it was still small and then just keeled over or kaled over, as it were. I forget. I'd blocked off 2/3 or the planter with bricks and filled a third with the small amount of dirt that I had. Because I didn't feel like hauling sacks of dirt from my car to the back yard. So this time I used the peat moss and the compost from the garage. The compost bag had one of those perforated tops and had busted open and some mice had made a home in there with some pink insulation stuff? idfk. Maybe they lived in and ate the compost? idk but the meeces were long gone. Still, what a pain picking little tufts of old insulation out of there. It's probably toxic and since I put it in with my plants I will probably grow mutant veggies and I'll grow a tail on my forehead or something. who even cares at this point bc groceries are so expensive. Anyway I had also bought some marigolds bc they are bug deterrents and are good to plant with vegetables, so I put them in there first. I suppose I could start some seeds indoors and plant them when they're newly sprouted, idk. I'll read the packets. I actually have another cedar planter I can assemble but I don't have much dirt.
Anyway I got hot and thirsty and tired so here I am in my chair with a heating pad on my lower back typing out all this exciting shit no one is going to bother reading. But seriously it's either this or a screed about Saturday night which actually would be more interesting but I do like my friend and there is always the odd chance she pops in here and I should let bygones be bygones because she will be gone soon and I am sad for her. (it's a visa thing)
So I am just going to have to keep chipping away at the outside stuff, which is tiring and annoying and sneezy work but at least it's outdoor physical work. I also of course have a shit ton of indoor work I also have to chip away at when I'm not outside. Including my kitchen which is just a neverending mess! I clean it up so I can make a meal and then it's dirty again and and and I just can't get it to a manageable place. But I really need to make some decent food today or tomorrow. OH and I cut some dandelion leaves from the yard. Since I have no dog and I don't use weed killer, and it's in my back yard, they should be fine. I washed them. Hey, free food. Americans are unhinged about lawn maintenance. they put all these chemicals on their grass and get rid of all the 'weeds' which, some of them, like dandelions and purslane, are great in salads. You can also eat dandelion flowers, though I never have. Anyway. Just trying to see if I can get some free or almost free food in my back yard.
The sad thing is that I like gardening, though I am not knowledgeable, but when I was young and interested, I didn't have the time to dedicate to it, and now that I do have the time, I am old and decrepit and don't have the experience to make much of anything happen for sure or the wherewithal to learn or try very hard. Because that's just one part of my garden, the rest, for as small as my yard is, is a lot of maintenance (again I refuse to use round up or weedkiller beyond some vinegar in places and I do have a lot of native plants mixed in that makes it tricky).
anyway, this has been a post.

Hola Roxanne, coming here for a bit of advice.
My youngest kid wants to start using earrings but she has no perforations and she doesn't like needles, are there any alternatives?
Non perforations earrings?
Hope it's not weird to ask
i don’t have my ears pierced and i have occasionally used clip-on earrings! i have a whole bunch, they’re super cheap, you can make your own etc. they can come off easily, and also it can be irritating for them to be clamped down for a while but they’re definitely safe, all over etsy. the only thing is that i’ve only seen them for like novelty earrings (like lego bricks toy dinosaurs etc) but i’m sure there’s other stuff too; i’m not super earring-y but i’m sure you’ll find stuff pretty easily

@rvolving for roman.
Sun in Venice has been a near permanent fixture. His sunglasses, meant most gravely to conceal his identity, have found more fulfilling purpose in their intended, manufactured use; like his wine key—bought and carried in his front pants pocket as protection—exclusively piercing corks. Frederick chooses to lounge at a table outside the restaurant despite the heightened exposure. More walk by and see him, but their gazes are glazed grazes; the image of him—as attractive as it may be—never permeates their long term memory. Inside the restaurant, it would be different. The world there is sedentary. Stares stew and stir as long as the meals do.
The sun begins to strain into the dark; stars like tiny, orderly perforations. Everything here feels individually placed yet comprehensively whole. Stone brick roads and homes and private wood pillar piers. His white linen shirt (borrowed from Benedict Hemingway's closet) fit the day well, but in this sinking temperature the short sleeves and two generously opened buttons at his chest (no further, or his scar would peek through) chill him. Unshaven graying-speckled hair no longer than a centimeter along his throat and face (appropriated utility like the sunglasses, the wine key) retains his body heat well. Like a warmed towel laid across the jaw.
His dinner is done. Plate removed. His legs are outstretched beneath the table and crossed at the ankles, socks peeking out. The edge of the shoe heel not hanging over the other is neatly stuck-tucked into the bevel-bubbly bricks of the street. Frederick remains to finish his wine. He overhears the waiter at the table next to his informing the guest they have already sold their last bottle of that selection. Bored and buzzed, Frederick interjects: "Pardon me. I am a glutton. I bought the last Super Tuscan. Would you—?" He tilts the quarter-emptied bottle by the neck towards the man, raised brow mirroring—amplifying—the gesture. "Like a glass?" Positively unfettered ambrosial notes when one knows, for certain, the oak barrel the grape juice fermented in contained wine and only wine.

Concrete Blocks - Manufacturing, Classification & Uses
Concrete blocks are nowadays replacing bricks in masonry construction, notably in many multi-storeyed buildings. They are available in three types namely solid, hollow and cellular, widely used for the construction of filler walls and boundary walls in RC framework.
Concrete blocks are usually made in large sizes to make blockwork faster and consume less cement in joints than the brickwork. If the percentage of the voids is more than 25%, then they are hollow blocks and blocks with voids less than 25% are only perforated blocks.
The cellular concrete blocks are generally referred to as lightweight aerated concrete blocks. All these blocks are extensively used for compound walls and non-loadbearing walls.
Hollow blocks are specially made for loadbearing walls, which are useful in reducing a dead load of masonry in buildings. Blocks can also be with cement and sand called cement-sand blocks or with cement and soil called soil-cement blocks which are of low strength and use for low-cost construction.
Manufacturing of Concrete Blocks
BIS recommends a fineness modulus of the combined aggregate between 3.6 to 4 and coarse aggregates used are of size 6 to 12 mm. Lean mixes up to 1:8 are generally used. Concrete mix for concrete blocks should not be richer than one part of the cement to six parts of the volume of combined aggregate.
Tumblr media
Concrete blocks can be handmade and also machine-made. The cast block is then cured in a water tank or yard for at least 14 days (water need to be changed at least every 4 days).
After curing, the blocks are dried for 4 weeks before being used in masonry construction. They should be stacked with voids in the horizontal direction to facilitate easy drying, or they should be steam cured and dried.
The whole process allows the complete shrinkage of the block to take place they are laid on the wall, which is very important for strong walls.
Classification of Concrete Blocks
Hollow concrete blocks
Open and Closed cavity-type hollow concrete blocks are classified into three grades:
Grade A - They possess a minimum density of 1500 kg/m³ and are used for load-bearing walls.
Grade B - They have a density below 1500 kg/m¬³ and used for load-bearing walls.
Grade C - These blocks are used for non-load bearing walls and have density more than 1000 kg/m³.
All these blocks are available in decorative facings like fluted facing to provide artistic effects.
Tumblr media
Solid concrete blocks
They should be manufactured for specific concrete strength of 4.0 and 5.0 N/mm² in 28 days. These blocks are used as load-bearing walls and have a density of not less than 1800 kg/m³.
Tumblr media
Paver blocks
These blocks are solid concrete blocks of different shapes specially made for exterior ground paving on sidewalks, parking lots, driveways, petrol pumps, industrial floors, etc.
Tumblr media
AAC Blocks
AAC blocks refer as Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Blocks. These blocks are also termed as light-weight hollow blocks.
They are prepared as solid blocks from cement, water and materials like ground sand, pulverized fly ash together with additives to aerate and stabilize the air bubbles.
The final result is a mixture of thick liquid which is then poured into steel moulds to form large cakes. After some time, the mixture sets and ready to cut into a serious of individual blocks of required size using taut steel wires.
Tumblr media
Very light blocks for partition and moderate-weight blocks for light loadbearing walls can be obtained from aac blocks. These blocks do not shrink on drying as the material is obtained by autoclaving.
The autoclaved cement product is crystalline, which is different from the product obtained by normal wet curing or by ordinary steam curing.
Sizes and Tolerances
The nominal dimensions of concrete block as per BIS are as follows:
 Length - 600, 500, 450 or 400 mm
 Height - 100 or 200 mm
 Width - 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250 or 300 mm
Actual sizes will be less than 10 mm of mortar thickness. For Concrete and Hollow concrete blocks nominal length 390 mm and height 190 mm. The thickness for loadbearing walls is 190 mm, compound walls 140 mm and for filler walls 90 mm.
These dimensions can easily be achieved in machine-made blocks than handmade blocks. The width of blocks use for load-bearing walls is 200 mm and for parapet or filler walls is 100 mm.
Points to Remember:
The mortar strength should not be more than the strength of the blocks. With high mortar strength, cracks will be less and very large, but with low mortar strength, cracks will be small and distributed.
We should use only blocks that are cured properly for at least 14 days and dried for 4 weeks to avoid shrinkage during construction.
We should not wet the blocks while placing in masonry construction.
Tumblr media
Freshly-made and uncured concrete blocks should never be allowed on the work.
Blockwork, particularly ordinary cement sand blocks and soil-cement blocks should not be used as loadbearing walls for concrete slab roof which favours to expand and contract with temperature.
The maximum difference in sizes allowed is ±5 mm in length and ±3 mm in height and width.
They should be protected from rains while being stored as they absorb moisture by wetting and shrinking on drying.
The main disadvantage of concrete blocks is shrinkage due to the movement of moisture content which is not present in bricks. As these blocks are much larger than bricks, any foundation movement will cause blockwork to crack more than the brickwork.

Softstruct is a cheerful display font that captures the tactile charm of children’s construction toys. Designed on a pixel grid, it uses rounded letterforms that resemble foam or rubber pieces, each perforated with uniform circular “studs” that echo toy bricks or pegboards. Though rooted in pixel structure, the glyphs are softened with subtle curves and shading, giving them a squishy, almost rubbery appearance.

Multi Hole Bricks
Multi hole Bricks
Tumblr media
Multi-hole bricks, also known as perforated bricks, are a type of building material characterized by the presence of multiple holes running through their length and the Perforation percentage is 33% in these bricks.
Key features of Multihole Bricks
Multiple Holes: The number of holes can vary, with common variations including 6-hole, 8-hole, and 10-hole bricks.
Lightweight: The holes reduce the overall weight of the brick, making them easier to handle and transport.
Improved Insulation: The air trapped within the holes acts as an insulator, enhancing the thermal and acoustic properties of the brick.
Strength: Despite the holes, multi-hole bricks are still strong enough to support the weight of multi-story buildings.
Versatility: They can be used for various construction purposes, including load-bearing walls, partition walls, and even decorative facades.
 Applications of Multihole Bricks
Residential Construction: For building load-bearing walls, partition walls, and cavity walls in houses and apartments.
Commercial Construction: Used in the construction of office buildings, shopping malls, and other commercial structures.

How to Get the Most Out of Your Smart Accessories
Smart accessories are an important part of modern life. In a fast-paced and tech-driven society, they have become a necessity. Smart accessories offer convenience, functionality and personalization. There's a tech accessory for everyone, from wireless chargers and Bluetooth headphones to Bluetooth speakers. Understanding how to use smart accessories and which ones complement your device are the keys to getting the most out of them. We'll explore how to maximize the potential of smart accessories.
Tumblr media
Select Accessories that Complement your Devices
To get the most out of your smart accessories, you should first choose the ones that are compatible with your smartphone, tablet or smartwatch. When buying a wireless charging device, ensure that it is compatible with the charging standards of your device. Check if the charger is compatible with the latest iPhone models, and if the charger supports Qi Wireless Charging. Bluetooth headphones and earbuds must also match the Bluetooth version of your phone for maximum connectivity.
Best device comparisons may be useful in this situation. Comparing devices websites can help you determine which accessories are best for your phone or smartwatch. You can improve your experience by choosing the right accessories, whether you're using it for fitness, entertainment, or work.
Quality Accessories are Worth Investing in
It's tempting, but investing in quality smart accessories will pay off in the end. Quality accessories are more durable, perform better, and come with warranties or customer service.
A good Bluetooth speaker, for example, will have a better sound quality and a longer battery life than a cheaper option. Look for accessories to enhance the comfort and functionality of wearable devices such as smartwatches or activity trackers. These include interchangeable bands, charging docks that are wireless, or protective cases that maintain the integrity of your device.
When you read reviews of the top phones, be sure to pay attention to any accessory recommendations made by reviewers for certain devices. Tech reviewers often recommend the best accessories to go with the latest smartphones. This helps you choose the right ones without spending too much money.

Why Architects Love Aluminium Cladding for Contemporary Designs
Claddings come in all shapes, colours, and sizes. But what suits your property is something to ponder over and again. If it gets too confusing, you can bet on aluminium cladding. It goes with most of the contemporary building designs, and offers great practical benefits. So, when in doubt, go for aluminium cladding in Melbourne. It’s your safest bet. Even architects prefer it more than any other cladding, and here’s why:
1. SLEEK & MODERN
The first thing anyone, including architects, notices about aluminium cladding is its classy, sleek and modern aesthetics. With a comprehensive scope of colours and textures, it can create visually striking designs. Even the finishes are diverse, from a metallic sheen to timber effect to matte look.
Due to such high design versatility, architects prefer aluminium cladding in Melbourne over any other for contemporary buildings.
2. LIGHTWEIGHT YET HIGHLY DURABLE
Aluminium is a game-changer in building materials. It’s super light and incredibly tough. It stands up well to corrosion, harsh weather, and time.
For architects, aluminium is a dream. They can design sturdy and stylish buildings without heavy materials. Plus, it has a secret superpower: it resists –
UV rays
Moisture
Pollution
3. SUSTAINABLE
Sustainability is a raging priority in the modern world today, and it reflects in every choice we make. Cladding is no exception to this.
So, if you wish for your cladding to be eco-friendly, your architect will most likely recommend aluminium for you. Why, because it’s 100% recyclable. In other words, it can be repurposed without losing its quality. Even the recycling process only requires 5% of the energy needed to produce new aluminium.
All this shows how sustainable aluminium cladding can be.
4. ELEVATED THERMAL & ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE
Today’s buildings need plenty of insulation to stay comfortable inside and save energy. Aluminium cladding is great at making this happen.
When paired with insulation layers, it does an even better job of keeping your home warm in winter and cool in summer. On top of that, aluminium also does a fantastic job of blocking out noise. Less noise pollution means a more comfortable home.
5. LOW MAINTENANCE
Architects also love aluminium cladding for its low maintenance. Unlike timber, which needs regular sealing and painting, or brick, which can crack, aluminium cladding keeps looking good with basic effort. A gentle wash is all it takes.
Even with such minimal maintenance, aluminium cladding can resist –
Rust
Termites
Fire
Thus, it makes a practical option for both homes and commercial buildings.
6. LIMITLESS CUSTOMISATION
Aluminium cladding gives designers the freedom to get creative with diverse styles and designs. It can be curved, perforated, or mixed with other materials like glass and steel to make striking features.
Aluminium cladding is also super versatile; it can be used for all sorts of things like –
Outside facades
Interior walls
Ceilings
Decorative elements like screens
This flexibility lets architects push the boundaries of modern design.
7. FIRE-PROOF & COMPLIANT
Fire safety is a big concern in modern building design. Aluminium cladding can meet strict fire resistance standards. Top-quality aluminium doesn’t catch fire and meets all relevant codes. This makes it a safe and secure choice for skyscrapers, offices, and apartments.
Today, architects worry about fire risks in building materials. They choose fire-resistant aluminium panels that provide a good mix of safety and style.
8. SEAMLESS INTEGRATION WITH SMART BUILDING TECHNOLOGIES
Buildings are becoming more high-tech, and aluminium cladding fits right in. Lots of new buildings come with clever facades that include –
Solar panels
LED lighting
Automated blinds
And more!
Aluminium cladding works well with these technologies, making the building more functional and eco-friendly.
Plus, with certain coating technologies, aluminium can become self-cleaning or germ-free. It’s specifically advantageous in hospitals and offices.
9. COST-EFFECTIVENESS AND LONG-TERM VALUE
Aluminium cladding may be pricier upfront, but its long-term benefits make it a savvy choice. Its durability, low upkeep, and energy efficiency all help reduce costs over time, making it a great investment for developers and property owners.
For architects, picking aluminium cladding means their constructions will continue to look great and function well for years to come. That too, with no need for frequent renovations or replacements.
10. RESILIENCE
Last but not least, aluminium is also well-known for its weather-resilience.
One of aluminium cladding’s best features is its ability to cope with extreme weather. Timber can warp or rot, and steel might rust, but aluminium cladding doesn’t get damaged by temperature changes, rain, or humidity.
Aluminium cladding helps buildings stand the test of time, keeping their structure and looks in great shape. It does its job whatever the surroundings, from coastal areas to high-rainfall zones and cities. This proves it’s a reliable choice that can withstand the elements.
Final Word
There you go! Now you see why Melbourne architects appreciate aluminium cladding so much. It is the most chosen feature in contemporary architecture. It offers a blend of good looks, durability, sustainability, and practicality. Architects appreciate it for its sleek designs and functional benefits. With its lightweight, custom finishes, and eco-friendly qualities, aluminium cladding is ideal for future buildings.
Even as design trends change, aluminium cladding will remain a key part of cityscapes and set the bar high. From skyscrapers to luxury homes and offices, it gives architects the best of both worlds – style and substance.

The Ultimate Guide to Building a Retaining Wall for Your Garden
A retaining wall for garden not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces but also serves a functional purpose by preventing soil erosion and creating structured landscape designs. Whether you want to add depth to your garden, support a retaining wall for fence, or simply create an eye-catching focal point, choosing the right materials and design can make a significant difference.
Why You Need a Retaining Wall for Your Garden
A well-constructed retaining wall for garden offers multiple benefits beyond just appearance. It helps in maintaining soil stability, preventing water runoff, and creating level ground for planting. For homeowners dealing with sloped landscapes, a retaining wall for fence adds an extra layer of protection by ensuring that soil does not shift and damage the fence structure.
Choosing the Right Materials for a Retaining Wall
Selecting the right material depends on factors like budget, climate, and the desired look. Common materials include:
Concrete Blocks: Durable and easy to install.
Natural Stone: Provides a rustic and elegant appeal.
Timber: Budget-friendly but requires proper treatment to prevent decay.
Brick: A traditional choice that blends well with various garden styles.
Steps to Building a Retaining Wall for Garden
1. Planning and Design
Before starting, evaluate the area where the wall will be built. Consider the height, drainage, and load it needs to support. For higher walls, professional consultation is recommended to ensure structural integrity.
2. Excavation and Foundation Preparation
A strong foundation is essential for durability. Excavate the area and lay a base of compacted gravel. This prevents shifting and improves drainage, a crucial aspect of long-lasting retaining walls.
3. Laying the First Layer
The first row of blocks or stones should be placed on the leveled base. Ensuring this layer is level will determine the stability of the entire wall.
4. Stacking and Securing the Wall
Continue stacking the materials while staggering the joints for additional strength. If using mortar or concrete, allow proper drying time before proceeding to the next step.
5. Drainage Considerations
Proper drainage behind the wall prevents water buildup, which can lead to structural failure. A layer of crushed stone or a perforated drainpipe helps in managing excess water.
6. Finishing Touches
Once the wall is complete, backfill the area with soil and add plants, mulch, or decorative stones to enhance its appearance.

Three Coats For Love 2025
My life is meaningless, empty, and annonymous. I live in a shut-down factory with some friends who I am not very close with. I'm walking on an uneven brick sidewalk when a wisewoman approaches me. she says she has a gift for me if I agree to do her a favour. I have nothing going on in my life, so I accept.
She says I must meet with the shadow manifestation of death and give it an item. She shows me a thick bone needle. It is slightly curved and about half the length of my longest finger. At its thickest end, it may be 1 cm in diameter. She tucks this into two perforations in the pocket of a denim vest. The wide end and the narrow tip stick out of the little pocket at the bottom right flap of the vest, with the bulk of the needle curving in on the inside of the pocket. There is a patch sewn over the left breast of the vest. It looks like a dog-violet flower, but in deep red colours.
The wisewoman tells me to put the vest on. I do. She then gives me a long white silk jacket to put over top. I do. It fits perfectly. She then gives me a big black fur coat. She says that if I follow the instructions of the coats, I will find my true love and then I must give the needle to the shadow. I put the fur coat on, feeling snug and safe. the wisewoman is not there when I look up.
I go back to the factory and tell my friend. She surprises me by saying she will come with me to find my true love. She says that this sort of quest is what the world needs. She starts live tweeting the premiss of our adventure. I sit down on a dusty stack of cardboard boxes to think about how I am supposed to follow the instructions of the coats. I take the fur coat off to look it over carefully. She snaps photos of it and asks the internet what they think we should do. no one responds or notices her posts.
In the breast pocket of the black coat, I find a ticket for a long range bus. There is a station just outside the factory door. This ticket goes to Berlin, which is a couple hours to the west. My friend says we should take the bus. A few people on twitter agree and urge us to get on the first bus we can. Looking closer at the ticket, I find it is for two passengers. We rush out and get on the bus, which is pulling out as we board. I realize I left the fur coat behind, but it is too late.
On the bus, we talk about what we need to do in Berlin. Someone asks us through twitter to look at the pockets of the white coat. In the right hand pocket, I find wristbands to a music festival in berlin. This festival has been sold out for some time. It is meant to be a festival of community and love, so we think it would be a great place to find my true love. We get off the bus close to the park where the festival should be. as we are making out way toward the festival grounds, a terrifying storm gathers overhead. Thunder crashes too loud to hear anything, and small wind funnels form. The wind is strong enough to toss the festival barricades and food stands around like glitter in a snow globe. It is too dangerous and the festival staff post a tweet saying the festival is cancelled.
Our audience on twitter has grown and there is universal disappointment. Some people question if I am actually destined to find my true love. Donald Trump who is president of America tweets to mock us for believing in destiny. He seems upset that our quest has been getting more attention on twitter than him. We are standing in a nearby park, unsure where we should go next. We are wet and cold and lost. We hug each other. We know we must find shelter, so we tweet out a request for safe places to stay. A few of our twitter followers come to the park we are in and offer to host us for the night in a house they are squatting in. we agree.
At the house, our hosts start to climb the side of the building, saying they can't unlock the front door. I put my hands in my coat pockets for warmth, and find a set of keys in the left pocket. They keys fit the front door. My friend tweets it and our audience is buoyed by the hint of fate involved in that coincidence. I take off my wet silk coat when we enter the house, and hang it to hopefully dry overnight. My friend approaches, filming us in selfie mode. She says that we have grown close on this adventure. She thinks that there is a chance that she is my true love. She is live streaming this conversation. I feel very awkward, and agree that I have come to appreciate her friendship. I talk about how I have gotten to know her and love her as a person. I add that I don’t think she is my true love. I say I expect to feel something else when I meet that person. She is disappointed, and puts up a poll on twitter asking people to vote on if they think she is my true love or not.  The results are split almost evenly.
She leaves me alone to think. I think about needing to give the needle to the shadow. With my right hand, I pull the needle out of the perforations and slide it back in repeatedly as I think. Im fidgeting while just sitting in a small bedroom on the second floor, looking out the window into a dark evening. My left hand touches the flower patch. I'm amazed by the texture. The embroidery of the flower petals is soft and lush. Around the edges, a strong thread has secured the patch, and it feels rough in a comforting way. I like the deep red colours of the patch. It doesn’t match any flower I recognize, but it is beautiful and feels real.

[ 𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐦 ] : sender has killed someone who threatened the receiver ( in a very gruesome way tehehe)
For you I would (damn I reblogged this back in July, you dug deep for this one XD - love it)
Tumblr media
Karlach had seen so much in her time. Organs strewn about like stars in the cosmos. Rivers of blood perforating the air with metal and death. Carcasses used as bricks for buildings - when they were done being used for pleasure after life had long since exited them. She had seen her own heart torn from her chest before she was made to devour it. Oh, she had seen much. And so, she grew an incredibly thick skin. She had to. How else was she supposed to survive?
So to watch one of the Steel Foundry soldiers that had berated and insulted Karlach - calling her a deformity and merely a stepping stone for Gortash's invention - being disembowelled, it almost felt like childsplay. Looked like it too. Like he was merely playing with his food. She stood, splattered with the arterial spray, the blood running down her skin like a lovers stroke.
"Are you finished?" Karlach snarled. She appreciated the sentiment, but not the execution. Quite literally. "You shouldn't waste your energy on the pawns." Nor dive any further into such darkness... There was only a certain amount one could claw back from. Perhaps it was already too late for Zareth.

The capacity of the septic tank has been determined by the frequency and the number of users along with which the sludge has been removed. The liquid capacity of the septic tank is about 70 litres to 130 litres per user. In the case of a small number of users, 70 litres of septic tank can be taken. A brick wall is used for making septic tanks which should be at least 20 cm thick. In addition, the foundation floor of the septic tank should be made with cement concrete with a 1:2:4 design mix. The walls and the top of the floor of the septic tank should have to be plastered along with a minimum thickness of 12mm.
Different parts of the Septic tank
This wastewater treatment system has several parts which include the following:
Inlet Pipe
This part helps to transfer the wastewater from the residence.
Outlet Pipe
Through the outlet pipe, the liquid effluent exits the septic tank.
Septic Tank
This is constructed with fibreglass, concrete, or plastic which helps to retain and treat the wastewater for a specific period of time.
Baffles
This part plays an important role as an internal wall of the septic walls. This partition helps to ensure that the solid waste does not exit the septic tank immediately thus helping to facilitate the setting process of the solid wastes.
Distribution Box
This part has been employed to distribute the effluent from the septic tank to the leach field or drain field.
Drain Field or Leach Field
This part has an interconnected network of perforated pipes which has been buried in the soil. This part has been acting as the recipient of the treated effluent from the septic tank.

In this blog, we’ll explore the materials and methods involved in building retaining walls Melbourne homeowners love, along with tips and answers to common questions.
What Are Retaining Walls?
Retaining walls are structures designed to hold back soil and prevent it from sliding or eroding. They are often used in gardens, driveways, and other areas where level ground is needed.
Types of Retaining Walls
1. Gravity Walls
These walls rely on their weight to resist pressure from the soil. Materials like stone, concrete, or bricks are commonly used.
2. Cantilever Walls
Supported by a base and reinforced with steel, these walls are ideal for taller structures.
3. Anchored Walls
Anchored retaining walls use cables or anchors driven into the soil for additional support.
4. Timber Walls
For a natural look, timber retaining walls are a popular choice. Sourcing materials from local fencing and timber supplies Melbourne stores ensures quality and durability.
Materials for Retaining Walls
The choice of material depends on your budget, style preference, and the wall’s purpose.
1. Concrete
Concrete is strong, durable, and versatile. It works well for both small garden walls and large commercial projects.
2. Natural Stone
Stone walls are aesthetically pleasing and long-lasting. They’re perfect for creating a rustic or elegant look.
3. Timber
Timber is an eco-friendly and affordable option for retaining walls. Treated wood ensures resistance to decay and termites.
4. Brick
Brick walls offer a classic appearance and excellent durability.
5. Gabion
Gabion walls are made by filling wire baskets with stones. They’re a modern, stylish, and sustainable choice.
How to Build Retaining Walls
Step 1: Plan Your Design
Measure the area and decide on the height and length of the wall. Check local regulations before starting construction.
Step 2: Prepare the Site
Clear the area of debris and level the ground. For sloped land, consider digging a trench for the base.
Step 3: Lay the Foundation
A solid foundation is essential for stability. Use gravel or concrete as the base material.
Step 4: Build the Wall
Stack your chosen materials according to the design. If using timber, ensure proper reinforcement.
