Aha so I've said this somewhere before but Utter Depravity is the cut scenes from my dark!Buddie AU, I'm Not Breathing Unless I'm Giving You CPR.

It's rare that I cut such a large section from a fanfic, but it just wasn't working for what I wanted to do with the fic. I might post it someday as a bonus not-quite-canon thing.

7. what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?

Grian and Scar. Grian was the first Hermitcraft POV I watched. Scar was the third. I watched both their Season 6 series in their entirety. I still watch them. But the fandom has gotten so annoying about them that I just avoid any fandom content at all costs. It doesn't help that even Scar isn't safe from the "any Hermit only counts if they interact with Grian and only in the capacity in which they interact with him" curse. And while it's not as bad rn after blocking so many people, I have times when I just stop watching Grian.

12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

I need more Hypno and xB love. They're both just super chill and relaxing to watch and they have this great dry sense of humour that I love. And I absolutely love how xB will tell people that they can just stop watching if they disagree with how he makes videos.

Hi there,

My name is peridotglimmer, also known as Belle or SugarsweetRomantic around these parts. I'm a queer Deaf mum to a toddler living in the Netherlands, an avid fic reader and writer for many different fandoms, and as difficult as I find to say this:

I need help.

Over the last months, I've been coming to the realisation that my wife, who I've been with since I had just turned 17, is abusive. And I need to get myself and our son out as soon as possible, as safely as possible.

My wife has isolated me from everyone IRL, including my parents and friends, and controls every aspect of my life.

This entire situation has had an immense effect on my own mental health, which means I'm currently on disability income myself. That's just enough to pay for bills and groceries. She also controls what we spend money on, which means it's nearly impossible for me to set any money aside. I'm trying to save up as much as I can, but I'm not reaching the amount I need to get out anytime soon.

I have two major issues that I need to take care of:

I need a passport. I fear I'll need to flee when I break this whole cyst open, so to speak. I can take shelter with a friend in the UK, but Brexit means my European ID card isn't enough to enter the UK. A passport costs approximately 85 euros, and I'll also need to get photos taken for it. My wife tracks my location 24/7, but I have some opportunities to get to town hall and get it without her knowing. Getting to my friend would be cheapest by taking a train, then a plane, and then a bus. From that point, they will be able to help me out, and I will be able to support myself as well.

I do not have custody of our son. She's been saying I have to earn custody of him, but it's not looking like she'll ever grant me custody. I'll potentially have to take her to court for that, and I will. I refuse to give up on my son. He's the love of my life, and my motivation to create a better life for us both.

As for my dear nonny and Princess, I don't know if this one will interest you, since it is my Xedgin fic. It's 10k words in and we haven't even reached the dungeon yet, because not even god loves me.

The plot is essentially that after five years of marriage, Ed and Xenk gets news that there is a chance to destroy Szass Tam once and for all. Ed knows Xenk won't refuse, but it's basically a suicide mission, so he insists on going as well. Holga, Simon, and Doric also insist, because they're family, dammit. And so the five descend into the heart of the Doomvault, to destroy the phylactory where Szass Tam keeps his soul and end the Red Wizards' reign of terror for good - and, hopefully, make it out alive.

In other words: It's raining angst! Hallelujah it's raining angst! Amen! I'm gonna go out, I'm gonna make you all get, your tissues absolutely soaking weeeeeeeet! It's raining angst! *dances*

5+1, please?

the 5+1 fic is the very last fic in my you and I series, when meredith and addison are finally in the right place to be able to choose each other or in the exact words i have in my doc: "5 times meredith and addison almost kiss and 1 time they do."

i don't have a lot written for it because it's going to be An Undertaking and i only have one fic out for the entire series right now (lol) but in short: set loosely around the events of season 19, addison shows up to meredith's house in boston to wait out her stalkers. the fic takes place over 6 months of time where they're essentially... friends moving to lovers but with fifteen years of complicated history and almost-loves.

🍭why did you start writing?

I had stories to tell and I wanted to share them.

☯️how do you think engaging with each other through tumblr, twitter, comments, kudos, creates healthy fandom experiences? How do you deal with that if you're not a social person/experience social anxiety?

I think it creates community. Personally I love talking about the things I like and I love being able to talk to people who also like the things I like. And while I do engage in discourse (I can be quite opinionated ngl), it's always more fun to talk positively about things. And when it's done right fandom can bring interesting new perspectives to media. I've learned so much just by talking to other fans and I really love that.

I'm also not the most social person irl and it feels easier to talk to people online sometimes because I can reply in my own time and I feel less like I have to pay attention to my every gesture and facial expression.

🧿what steps do you take to not take things personally if a fic doesn't do well, or if your writing/posting/sharing experience isn't going how you'd like it to?

I've pretty much stopped looking at my stats as much as I used to. I'm ngl I read my kudos emails every day but I couldn't tell how well or bad any fic is doing rn. And at the end of the day I'm used to "bad" stats. I tend to write rarer pairings so it's rare that one my fics does really well anyways.

With Hermitcraft it helps that I've stopped checking the tag for new fic anyways so I have no idea how bad or well I'm doing in relation to others. I'm just vibing and if people want to vibe with me that's cool. If not that's cool too. I'm not their boss.
