"Was that really Crimson Rain Sought Flower? Was that his true form?" Xie Lian didn't even have time to open his mouth before Shi Qingxuan piped up. "How could it be his true form? Hua Cheng has thousands of disguises, and no one knows what his true form looks like. Last time when I was at banyue Pass, he looked similar to his appearance today, so this must be a fake skin too. It's fake, all fake." Yet Xe Lian could still remember that night at Puqi Shrine, when Hua Cheng had told him, "The next time we meet, I'll greet you in my true form." He thought to himself, It's real. But of course, he didn't say that out loud. Everyone was so sure that Hua Cheng must be wearing a fake skin. Being the only one who knew it was Crimson Rain Sought Flower's true form was like learning an extraordinary little secret. Then he thought, San Lang's appearance doesn't look that much different from before, only a bit older and taller. That means he was pretty much in his true form the first time he met me. Strangely, that made Xie Lian Feel a little happy.

Going to start posting panels of MHA SMASH! on here, here's where the masterlist will be!
It's going to be very rough right now, still working out how I want to organize this (as you can see from my pinned post, I really like to organize)
Now, I'm not going to do this in order one by one - I'm going to share random panels I like then add their novel, chapter and page and link it here
So it's going to be a bunch of empty and filled links (;^ω^)
I just like to have an area where I know where everything is
There's also an issue with SMASH having some... Interesting content. That will be put under a "Read More" and will be tagged "Suggestive". Wish it didn't but I guess Neda's just like that :-\ He did get a warning from Horikoshi though so that counts for something
(probably not going to share those chapters very much/at all unless someone's curious and asks for them)
Also pages/chapters with such content will be marked only here to make it clear
❗ = Watch (ex; Mineta saying something)
‼️ = Warning (Ex; Mineta doing something)
🔖 = Favorite of mine :-)
Welcome to MHA SMASH! This is the rarely heard of, only non-canon MHA spinoff! It's a comedy series, and has gotten a warning (or two) from Horikoshi himself! I hope you enjoy it!

Eugene Sledge’s introduction of 1st Lt. Edward A. “Hillbilly” Jones:
“Hillbilly was second only to Ack Ack in popularity among the enlisted men in Company K. He was a clean-cut, handsome, light-complexioned man—not large, but well built. Hillbilly told me he had been an enlisted man for several prewar years, had gone to the pacific with the company and had been commissioned followed Guadalcanal. He didn’t say why he was made an officer, but the word among the men was that he had been outstanding on Guadalcanal.
It was a widespread joke among men in the ranks during the war that an officer was made an officer and a gentleman by an act of Congress when he was commissioned. An act of Congress may have made Hillbilly an officer, but he was born a gentleman. No matter how filthy and dirty everyone was on the battlefield, Hillbilly’s face always had a clean, fresh appearance. He was physically tough and hard and obviously morally strong. He sweated as much as any man but somehow seemed to stand above our foul and repulsive living conditions in the field. Hillbilly had a quiet and pleasant voice even in command. His accent was soft, more that of the deep South, which was familiar to me, than that of hill country.
Between this man and all the Marines I knew there existed a deep mutual respect and warm friendliness. He had that rare ability to be friendly yet not familiar with enlisted men. He possessed a unique combination of those qualities of bravery, leadership, ability, integrity, dignity, straightforwardness, and compassion. The only other officer I ever knew who was his equal in all these qualities was Captain Haldane”
E.B Sledge’s With the Old Breed At Peleliu and Okinawa pg. 90-91
#quite enjoyed his comparison to Haldane….#eugene sledge#Maura reads with the old breed#I also like that in both Haldane and hillbilly’s introductions he describes how they spoke gently yet with command#hillbilly jones

hellooo could you please share the pages of the most iconic vicious quotes? I didnt tab my book the first time i read it and i have no time for a re-read 😵💫
(you can just share the page numbers btw! I’ll figure out the quotes somehow lmao) thanks ❤️
oh absolutely i can. this is like the best ask i've ever gotten
quotes and page numbers are below the cut. i have the american paperback version with the red cover in case there are differences in page numbers between editions
also last note before the quotes, i'm so curious what you're using them for. so if you're doing something fun with them, i would LOVE to know what it is but no pressure
All Eli had to do was smile. All Victor had to do was lie. Both proved frighteningly effective. -pg 17-18
Victor was out. Victor was free. And Victor was coming for Eli-- just as he'd promised he would. -pg 26
Hate was too simple a word. He and Eli were bonded, by blood and death and science. -pg 90
The paper called Eli a hero. The word made Victor laugh. Not just because it was absurd, but because it posed a question. If Eli really was a hero, and Victor meant to stop him, did that make him the villain? He took a long sip of his drink, tipped his head back against the couch, and decided he could live with that. -pg 91
..."I'm trying to figure out how this"-- he held up a blood-stained, but uninjured hand-- "is a reflection of me. Why would He give me--" "He?" asked Victor incredulously. He wasn't in the mood for God. Not this morning. "According to your thesis," he said, "an influx of adrenaline and a desire to survive gave you that talent. Not God. This isn't divinity, Eli. It's science and chance." "Maybe to a point, but when I climbed into that water, I put myself in His hands--" "No," snapped Victor. "You put yourself in mine." -pg 93
Victor Vale was not a fucking sidekick. -pg 96
"Would You take it back?" he asked the dark apartment. "If I were no longer of Your making, You would take this power back, wouldn't You?" Tears glistened in his eyes. "Wouldn't You?"..."You'd let me die."..."Wouldn't you?" -pg 216
"No, Sydney," he said. "I need you to stay here." "Why?" she asked. "Because you don't think I'm a bad person," he said. "And I don't want to prove you wrong." -pg 226
"There are no good men in this game," said Mitch. -pg 276
But these words people threw around-- humans, monsters, heroes, villains-- to Victor it was all just a matter of semantics. Someone could call themselves a hero and still walk around killing dozens. Someone else could be labeled a villain for trying to stop them. Plenty of humans were monstrous, and plenty of monsters knew how to play at being human. -pg 288-289
"I don't want to be forgotten." ..."Tell you what," said Victor. "You remember me, and I'll remember you, and that way we won't be forgotten." "That's shit logic, Vic." ..."To never dying." ..."To being remembered." ..."Forever." -pg 296
"I watch you and it's like watching two people." -pg 352
The entirety of pg 353 including "It's why I let you stay," said Victor. "Why I liked you. All that charm outside, all that evil inside. There was a monster under there, long before you died."// "You aren't some avenging angel, Eli," he said. "You're not blessed, or divine, or burdened. You're a science experiment." (AHHHH)// "You don't understand," gasped Eli. "No one understands." "When no one understands, that's usually a good sign that you're wrong. "You can't kill me, Victor," said Eli. "You know that." ..."I know"..."But you'll have to indulge me. I've waited so long to try."
Victor smiled. He was having a fabulous time killing Eli. -pg 355
And last but not least, an honorary Vengeful quote because it's one of my faves and one of the best. Victor stared at the wall as if it were still a window. "He doesn't know how patient you are," he said. "Doesn't know you like I do." Eli cleaned the blood from his hand. "No," he said softly. "No one ever has." -Vengeful, pg 318 (AHHHHHHHH) hopefully that gets you started! I have so many things highlighted or tabbed or underlined so sometimes it's hard to choose. also the ellipsis (...) indicate where i omitted things for the sake of just including the important parts. otherwise some of those quotes would have been longggg

Since its very beginnings, YouTube has been a destination for entertaining video content. However, over the years, the platform has evolved from pixelated vlogs and AMVs to more mainstream entertainment options like YouTube TV, YouTube Music, and pay-to-rent movies. One thing many people may not realize is that YouTube also offers plenty of free movies to stream — some with commercials, and some without. Here’s our roundup of the best free movies you can watch on YouTube.Looking for more streaming recommendations? Check out our guides to the best TV shows available on Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, and HBO Max, plus the best movies on Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Disney+, and Tubi.Director: Rawson Marshall ThurberCast: Vince Vaughn, Christine Taylor, Ben StillerGenre: ComedyRating: PG-13Runtime: 1hr 32mRotten Tomatoes: 72% (Critics), 76% (Audience)The 2000s had their own brand of comedy, one that’s exemplified perfectly by the outrageous, profane, and stupid-but-good, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. In it, Vince Vaughn plays a down-on-his-luck gym owner, who squares off against an unhinged Ben Stiller as a rival gym owner in a $50,000 dodgeball tournament.Featuring a cast of hilarious misfits and stuffed full of jokes, this is the kind of comedy where you’ll be laughing pretty much every minute. Balancing crudeness and charm in the way that some of the best Adam Sandler movies do, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story is still so funny in large part thanks to its all-star cast.Director: David FrankelCast: Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily BluntGenre: Comedy, DramaRating: PG-13Runtime: 1hr 49mRotten Tomatoes: 75% (Critics), 76% (Audience)In The Devil Wears Prada, the fashion world is as cutthroat as it is glamorous, and no one rules it more fiercely than Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly—an icy, impossibly demanding magazine editor. Anne Hathaway plays Andy, a bright but naive aspiring journalist who lands a job as Miranda’s assistant, only to find herself drowning in a world of impossible standards and designer heels.Directed by David Frankel, the film blends sharp wit, standout performances, and high-fashion spectacle into a coming-of-age story with bite. Streep is magnetic in one of her most iconic roles, while Hathaway and a scene-stealing Emily Blunt round out a pitch-perfect cast. Stylish, smart, and surprisingly resonant, The Devil Wears Prada is more than just a makeover movie—it’s a sharp look at ambition, identity, and what it costs to “make it.”Director: Tim BurtonCast: Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Dianne WiestGenre: Holiday, Fantasy, Drama, ComedyRating: PG-13Runtime: 1hr 45mRotten Tomatoes: 90% (Critics), 91% (Audience)Only Tim Burton could make a movie like Edward Scissorhands. The fantasy comedy/drama (with holiday overtones thanks to its wintry scenes and lush score by Danny Elfman) is truly unique, a story about a young man left with scissors for hands (Johnny Depp) who connects with a local high schooler played by Winona Ryder. The film’s tone is one-of-a-kind, blending a surreal and colorful suburbia with monster movie makeup to winning effect. Depp and Ryder have impeccable chemistry, something made all the more impressive by the fact that Depp rarely speaks in the film.Director: Steven SpielbergCast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Christopher WalkenGenre: Comedy, Drama, CrimeRating: PG-13Runtime: 2hr 20mRotten Tomatoes: 35% (Critics), 41% (Audience)Just reading the cast and director for Catch Me if You Can makes it clear it’s a movie worth watching. In it, Leonardo DiCaprio plays brilliant forger and conman Frank Abagnale, Jr., on the run from FBI Agent Carl Hanratty, played by a wholly determined Tom Hanks. It’s a fun game of cat and mouse, made all the more thrilling thanks to Spielberg’s pitch-perfect direction. While Spielberg may have made a name for himself with sci-fi movies, action, and adventure, Catch Me If You Can shows that he has considerable range and is just as comfortable making something breezy.Director: Christopher NolanCast: Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica ChastainGenre: Sci-Fi, Action, AdventureRating: PG-13Runtime: 2hr 45mRotten Tomatoes: 73% (Critics), 87% (Audience)Christopher Nolan has made some of the most mind-bending, entertaining summer blockbusters out there, and Interstellar is no different. Featuring an A-list cast led by Matthew McConaughey, the film tells the story of an astronaut sent to see if the solution to a global dust bowl can be found through a wormhole.Like many of Nolan’s films, Interstellar deals with themes of regret and memory, but unlike other films by the director, Interstellar really wears these emotions on its sleeve. Combined with stunning physics-defying visuals, the movie is the full package. It’s a thrilling three hours.Director: Peter WeirCast: Jim Carrey, Laura Linney, Ed HarrisGenre: Drama, Sci-FiRating: PGRuntime: 1hr 43mRotten Tomatoes: 95% (Critics), 89% (Audience)The Truman Show marked a turning point for Jim Carrey, showing off a more subdued, dramatic side without losing the charm that made him a star. He plays Truman Burbank, an ordinary man living an extraordinary lie—his entire life is a reality TV show, broadcast to the world without his knowledge. As Truman starts to suspect the truth, the cracks in his seemingly perfect world begin to show.Directed by Peter Weir, the film is a sharp, prescient satire on media, privacy, and identity that feels even more relevant today. With a haunting performance by Ed Harris as the show's creator and Laura Linney as Truman’s eerily chipper “wife,” The Truman Show manages to be both deeply philosophical and emotionally affecting.Director: Christopher McQuarrieCast: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon PeggGenre: Action, AdventureRating: PG-13Runtime: 2hr 11mRotten Tomatoes: 94% (Critics), 87% (Audience)Is there any doubt that Tom Cruise is one of Hollywood’s greatest action stars? If there ever was, the Mission: Impossible franchise surely quiets those doubts. And in Rogue Nation, the fifth in the series, Cruise proves his action bon a fides in spectacular fashion: leaping from buildings, hanging from planes, and being chased through the Tower of London.Whether you’re trying to catch up in preparation for Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning on IMAX, or you’ve just seen Final Reckoning and want to relive past adventures with special agent Ethan Hunt, YouTube’s got your back.Director: Brian RobbinsCast: Eddie Murphy, Thandiwe Newton, Cuba Gooding Jr.Genre: Comedy, RomanceRating: PG-13Runtime: 1hr 42mRotten Tomatoes: 9% (Critics), 53% (Audience)Norbit is a wild, over-the-top comedy that leans heavily on Eddie Murphy’s knack for playing multiple characters. He stars as the timid Norbit, the aggressive and overbearing Rasputia, and several other side roles, all brought to life with heavy prosthetics and outrageous energy. The story centers on Norbit’s struggle to escape his toxic marriage when his childhood sweetheart (Newton) reenters his life.Directed by Brian Robbins, Norbit goes for broad slapstick and shock humor, and while the critics weren’t kind, the film found an audience thanks to Murphy’s full-throttle performance. It’s crude, chaotic, and undeniably cartoonish—best enjoyed with expectations set accordingly.Director: James WanCast: Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Barbara HersheyGenre: HorrorRating: PG-13Runtime: 1hr 41mRotten Tomatoes: 66% (Critics), 62% (Audience)A comatose child? Evil spirits? That’s all you need for a great horror film, and Insidious delivers the thrills and chills deliciously thanks to that simple setup. It’s a classic kind of horror movie, but that classic DNA doesn’t make it any less terrifying. Responsible for horror films ranging from Saw to The Conjuring and M3GAN, James Wan has proven himself as an excellent horror director over the past two decades. Even in a lineup as impressive as that, Insidious remains one of his best.Director: Brian RobbinsCast: Kel Mitchell, Kenan Thompson, SinbadGenre: Comedy, FamilyRating: PGRuntime: 1hr 35mRotten Tomatoes: 33% (Critics), 63% (Audience)Good Burger is a goofy, nostalgia-fueled ride that thrives on the chemistry between Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, Nickelodeon’s golden era stars. Mitchell plays Ed, the hilariously clueless but good-hearted cashier of a small-time burger joint, while Thompson’s Dexter is the reluctant new hire with his own plan. Together, they take on a corporate fast food villain trying to shut them down.Though it’s far from highbrow, Good Burger is packed with slapstick laughs, over-the-top performances, and quotable lines (“Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger…”). Director Brian Robbins leans into the absurdity, making it a cult favorite for anyone who grew up on '90s kids' TV.Director: Tate TaylorCast: Viola Davis, Emma Stone, Octavia SpencerGenre: DramaRating: PG-13Runtime: 2hr 26mRotten Tomatoes: 76% (Critics), 89% (Audience)Set in 1960s Mississippi, The Help tells a powerful story of race, dignity, and quiet resistance through the eyes of the Black maids who cared for white families—and the young writer who dares to tell their stories. Emma Stone plays Skeeter, an aspiring journalist who interviews maids Aibileen (Viola Davis) and Minny (Octavia Spencer) about their experiences working in white households during the Jim Crow era.Directed by Tate Taylor, the film mixes heartfelt drama with moments of levity and warmth. Though it has sparked debate over its perspective and portrayal of history, The Help remains a moving, accessible entry point into difficult conversations about race, courage, and the voices that too often go unheard.Director: Anne FletcherCast: Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan, Damaine RadcliffGenre: Drama, Music, RomanceRating: PG-13Runtime: 1hr 44mRotten Tomatoes: 21% (Critics), 83% (Audience)Step Up kicks off the dance movie franchise that turned Channing Tatum into a breakout star. He plays Tyler Gage, a rebellious street dancer who gets a second chance when he's forced to do community service at a performing arts school—where he meets Nora (Jenna Dewan), a disciplined ballet student in need of a new dance partner. Sparks fly both on and off the stage as they blend styles and learn from each other. The dance sequences are electric, the soundtrack pulses with early-2000s energy, and the film’s heart lies in its underdog spirit. While critics weren’t won over, audiences embraced it for what it is: a feel-good romance with moves to spare. Source link

Monster Spotlight: Merlucent
CR 3
Chaotic Neutral Medium Aberration
Adventure Path: Hell's Vengeance: Wrath of Thrune, pg. 90-91
These beautiful drifters spend the majority of their lives living simply, capturing shellfish, small fish, and sea birds to consume, their hunter-gather lifestyle interrupted only by bursts of artistic inspiration as they carve strange glyphs into living coral, causing it to grow into bizarre but beautiful shapes. Enclaves of Merlucent can turn normal reefs into alien art galleries over the generations, though they only rarely allow anyone but their own inside. If they did, people might see the farms! But we'll get to that in just a moment.
Most of the time, a colony of Merlucent near a settlement is both a boon and a bane. The jellyfish-people are almost invisible in water, their bodies becoming hazy and indistinct while submerged and granting them concealment, which is excellent when they're trying to sneak up on meals or avoid unwanted attention, but terrible for fishermen who may not see what they're dropping a net on until it's brought up and starts stinging people. Merlucent also eagerly consume what human fishermen need to survive, and vice-versa, reducing the overall amount of food available for everyone involved... but at the same time their presence wards away threats that are even worse and more gluttonous.
Their primary power lays in their stinging tentacles, which act as a painful deterrence. Though they are capable of wielding weapons (not that many are effective underwater) and wands (which they enjoy as keepsakes instead of tools; more on that below!), a basic Merlucent is dangerous enough with its ability to lash out three of its tentacles to a distance of 15 feet. Their considerable reach gives them an edge over most sea-dwelling races, especially the warmongering sahuagin and expansionist sea elves, both of which can be pests to shore-dwelling civilizations and neither of which are immune to the painful, debilitating sting the Merlucent can deliver.
In addition to dealing 1d4+1 damage each, the three stings of these jellyfolk infuse the victim with a paralytic poison that deals 1d3 Dex damage a round for up to 4 rounds. The saving throw is only 14, but remember there's three attacks, and poison in Pathfinder stacks in a unique way: Every dose of identical poison beyond the first raises the save DC by +2 and the duration by 1/2 the base, so another +2 rounds per sting in the Merlucent's case. Each tentacle strike also automatically pulls the victim 5ft closer to the jellyfish and into range of whatever weapon it's wielding; while this has its uses in undersea combat, it's even more dangerous if they're attacking something above the water and dragging it downwards towards them, or pulling a vulnerable party member or NPC out of position in cases when the party comes into conflict with them.
And they will. Merlucent see men and elves as strange and fascinating creatures, in much the way mankind might see an ape or a shrimp as fascinating and strange. Though they are intelligent and can speak via telepathy, their own thought patterns are so alien that there may as well be a second language barrier in front of everything! This means they see little problem with stealing from humanity... even going so far as stealing humans for two equally disturbing purposes. The first is aesthetics: Merlucent see the world in a unique way, their constant Detect Magic and own unusual senses letting them see the weft and weave of magic as a beautiful, entrancing lightshow. They especially love magic items of any sort, going as far as to incorporate magic items they find or steal into their coral creations to both coax them into new forms and enjoy watching the magic course through them and into the coral.
So you can imagine how overjoyed they are when they find a living creature capable of USING magic! They're entranced by it, often gathering in large groups to watch casters cast. While normally content to just watch, a caster who doesn't tread lightly around such gatherings may end up captured and added to their living art galleries. Even worse, when they want to get in on the action, their dangerous Arcane Echo ability allows them to replicate casting simply by reshaping nearby magic up to three times a day, copying the effects of any spell cast within 20ft of them at any time during the day. Merlucent cannot copy spells with a level higher than twice their Hit Dice, typically meaning the average one is limited to 2nd level spells, but this does mean the Sorcerer slinging around Burning Hands is even more dangerous to their party than usual, since Merlucent can simply copy what they see.
The second reason Merlucent wish to capture people, though, happens once every 3 to 5 years: reproduction. It's unfortunately not as fun as it looks or sounds, because Merlucent reproduce in a way that evokes the Mind Flayers/Illithids of D&D lore, implanting a polyp into the victim's ear that slowly makes its way into--and swiftly replaces--the victim's brain. Such unfortunates take 1d4 Int damage each day until they either resist the polyp disease (a DC 12 Fortitude save), have it cured by magic, or fall to 0 Int and be wholly transformed into a brand new Merlucent. Though such transformed creatures are NOT the former victim and possess none of their skills or memories, there IS a small chance that they'll assimilate some of their victims' spellcasting abilities if they had any. Such apexes of jellykind are far more dangerous than their lesser kin, both for the power they wield and the ambition with which they wield it.
While normal Merlucent simply catch what they need, be it food or people to incubate their young, it is jellyfolk born with magical talent who possess the knowledge and foresight needed to construct entire underwater farms/prisons where they simply keep captured victims alive and fed until breeding season arrives. You know, every few years.

Monster Spotlight: Thorgothrel
CR 8
Lawful Evil Large Ooze
Adventure Path: Iron Gods: The Choking Tower, pg. 90-91 (image taken from the Starfinder Alien Archive 3, pg. 114)
These excessively cruel creatures hail not from the Darklands or any strange plane in the Outer Sphere, but from within the universe itself. Arriving in ships designed for their protoplasmic forms, Thorgoglbltr-- I'm just going to shorten it to Thorgo. Arriving in ships from beyond the stars, Thorgos are a species of beings who consider themselves both advanced and enlightened enough that they know what's best for all life in the universe, and what's best is being really, really stupid. That's a dramatic oversimplification of their goals, but the slightly-more-complex-but-still-short-version is that Thorgos consider sapience to be a naturally self-destructive phenomenon, and that any species which evolves sapience is sure to bring ruin to not only itself, but its whole world.
Of course, rather than simply devolving themselves to senseless protoplasm and living out the rest of their existence in atavistic peace, they harness their intelligence to build starships to cruise out into the universe, because they simply have to inflict their vision of "peace" on every species they encounter, whether or not said species desires or even moderately agrees with the Thorgos' assessment. They're explicitly noted to have the technology and knowhow to perform downright miracles, their ability to perfectly manipulate the genetic structure of any lifeform they encounter after just a few short minutes of study--something which takes scientists in our world decades in carefully controlled laboratories--granting them the potential to eradicate any disease, repair any genetic deformity or defect, heal any wound, and effectively solve any problem that could be solved with a specialized lifeform... but in a similar vein to a certain other mad geneticist, Thorgos don't want to do any of that boring "make better societies" stuff, they want to remove sapience from every species in existence. Every other species first, naturally.
To this end, Thorgos have Atavistic Manipulation, a dangerous ability that's attached to their two slam attacks which themselves are stapled to the ends of pseudopods with a 20ft threat radius (10ft space/10ft reach). Not only do they deal 1d6+6 damage each, but more alarmingly they cause the targets to bleed Intelligence, something we've only seen once before on creatures with similar goals to the Thorgo. Unless the victim receives a DC 15 Heal check or some form of magical healing, they lose 1 point of Intelligence every round until they're rendered completely comatose as the protoplasm of the Thorgo invades their body and overrides their mind. Furthermore, if a Thorgo spends an hour tinkering with a creature's biology after the victim falls unconscious, the atavistic alien can cause the Intelligence damage to become permanent, setting the victim's max Int to 1 and requiring Heal, Limited Wish, Wish, or Miracle to undo.
And if you think what they can do in the field with their own two pseudopods is scary, it gets so much worse when they start hauling people back to their ships for more intense experimentation, up to and including making the atavistic regressions hereditary. If a species evolved sapience once, it stands to reason it may do so again; they have to be thorough if they want to make sure a world 'blessed' by their presence stays blessed.
But! We're not talking about their labs or other tools right now, we're talking about a basic scout/scientist. Every Thorgo comes equipped with that skeletal doohickey you see in their center, a generator that feeds the slime the electricity it needs to survive (which is why they're immune to Electricity, among other things) AND projects a powerful Force Field, the slime shielded from every angle by a shell of 40 hitpoints that recharges by 10 each round so long as it's got at least 1 hitpoint left in it. Unlike the Robots whose Force Fields require an entire day to recharge if they go offline, the Thorgo's advanced fields can be repaired in a single full-round action and a successful Disable Device check (which they have a +8 to) against a DC of 15... and they need to, because their bodies swiftly and dramatically break down in the presence of most atmospheres, including Golarion's own.
A Thorgo without its field loses 1d4 Con every single round until it gets the doohickey up and running again, putting a harsh time limit on how long it can stick around to fight... but because it's limited to a 20ft movespeed and no methods of swift egress, a Thorgo without its field will likely have to swiftly dispatch its foes to give itself the time it needs to get its field active! Good thing that its Poisonous Sublimation is a double-edged sword! The gas a Thorgo breaks down into when it's exposed to hostile atmospheres is violently poisonous, filling a 20ft cloud with lethal vapors that instantly kill any creature with 6 or less Hit Dice if they fail a DC 17 Fortitude save, which must be made every round one stays exposed to it. Creatures with more than 6 Hit Dice don't fare much better, losing 1d6 Con each time they fail their save! A DM wishing to use a Thorgo as a boss fight against a 5th~6th level party may want to reconsider the encounter, or at least weaken the poison, because managing to break through the thing's first layer of defense only to suddenly lose half the party to the resulting gas cloud will likely not go over well on the table.
While their shield stays up, Thorgos are still dangerous. They can subtract 5 HP from their shield at any time to launch a Force Ray, a touch attack dealing 10d6 Force damage to its target, making this a literal case of 'damned if you do, damned if you don't.' Hopefully the party has some method of petrifying the thing, because little else will work; attacking its HP directly will inevitably break the shield and unleash the Baby Cloudkill, but there's almost nothing else that can be done thanks to its pile of immunities. Thorgos are immune to Electricity and Cold and have 10 Acid Resistance, and despite being a sapient Ooze they retain the Ooze's normal immunity to all mind-affecting effects. They also can't be poisoned, put to sleep, paralyzed, polymorphed, or stunned, and you can't really effectively burst them down to avoid multiple rounds of the poison cloud unless you're a Vital Strike Enjoyer with some exotic two-handed weapon hitting them and them backing away, because they're also immune to critical hits and ALL forms of precision damage besides.
At least Fire and/or ranged attacks still work! Shattering their shield means they can no longer use their fierce ranged attack, letting a ranged party plink the slow-moving slime down with little issue. Just mind the reach, and try not to send the 6 Int Barbarian in for longer than absolutely necessary.
You can read more about them here.
