okay but can i just ramble on about how much i love camila

like she's trying so hard to be there for luz however she can, even if she doesn't understand the full situation

and as well as just. taking in four extra kids no questions asked, she's really good at validating them and appreciating their efforts even though they don't understand how things work yet (especially important with amity)

and she manages that scene of hunter kneeling at her SO WELL, like she doesn't make a scene, or make him feel embarrassed, she just kindly tells him he doesn't have to do that with her. which is super important coming from a parental/authority figure

and her being so supportive of luz being queer (and amity by extension) is so nice to see on screen. (side note: they did NOT have to go as extra as they did with the bi flags and rainbow, but they did, and i'm so happy that it's so undeniably explicit and in your face)

she also just generally handles everything they tell her really well? granted, she'd have some experience from vee, but she genuinely hears out what the kids have to say and takes them seriously, WHILE ALSO stressing the importance of taking care of themselves and resting

also the fact that it looks like she's taking the time to shop with the kids for halloween outfits? or more clothes, at least. which are things they don't strictly NEED, but rather things that make them happy, and she makes the time for that

she's so instantly supportive of vee's new look as well and that is something just. so important to me. (also the pride pin is adorable)

i also just love the wall of luz photos, and her and luz's awkwardly polite reactions to the erm. "cake"

camila is just such a greatly written parent generally. it's not like she gets everything right, or does things perfectly, but above all else she tries her damn best to be supportive of her kids, and is just generally kind. if anything, her flaws add to her depth. because there is no "perfect parent", but there sure as hell is a parent that loves very much, and tries their best. and camila is that parent.

Hello, another doodle compilation post of everything I haven't posted since the period of May to now that I didn't hate but didn't like enough to post on its own + fanart i made of @catboymoments's fankids Azura and Hyacinth! I'm not normally a fankid person but these guys are a whole moment unto themselves I love them sm. ID in alt text bc it was getting lengthy! Let me know if there's any issues

#the owl house #toh #luz noceda #willow park #gus porter #hunter toh #(he's there too! just very small. let me have this)#i had a lot of fun trying to figure out Hyacinth and Azura! they were unfamiliar so it was a challenge #hyacinth especially doesn't have a face I'd normally draw but i ended up really enjoying getting out of my comfort zone for him #i hope all the details translated well and that i interpreted aspects of their designs correctly?#i ended up accidentally giving Azura a slightly hooked nose bc i for some reason thought she had one? also struggled w/ her mouth a tad #but i decided to keep it in bc it made her face more unique lol. i already draw amity with a hooked nose so it kind of makes sense #you could say it's from alador though (which was also how i justified the way i drew her mouth since i normally draw Luz's differently-#-just imagine she got it from Camila)#also i recognize thst Hyacinth's cane arm is wonky?? really sorry about that! he was leaning on it a certain way in the ref photo #and i tried to replicate that but. eh #It's been a weird difficult time art wise recently #mainly cause of the hiatus I had to take cause of exams that I'm still recovering from.#Probably gonna end up taking another art/posting break (though we'll see how that all plays out??)#it's been a weird few weeks but not bad. OML JENNA ORTEGA! I love this woman so much, she’s funny, her voice is so calming, like, damn girl’s charismatic AND she’s like the prettiest woman I’ve ever seen??????

Istg the obsession is REAL.

I read a few passages of her book every day

I spend my free time watching videos/looking at pictures of her

I LOVE her interviews, especially the older ones where she lets her personality show. The way she expresses herself is incredible. I love the little anecdotes she gives us on memories she has and even though our lives are so different she finds ways to relate to so many of her fans.

ALSO SHE LOVES PUPPIES (I’m a dog person)

I love jenna so much. I hope one day I can meet her and we can get married.

currently possessed with thoughts of Camila coming for a visit with an old photo album from before Luz disappeared, but it happens on a day where Luz is hanging out with Eda so it ends up just being Camila showing Hunter Luz's baby pictures and being so so so so so fond about how much Hunter loves her. Camila shares stories of silly little things that Luz did when Camila was her mom and Hunter just smiles because "she's always been that way"

AW. OH NO THAT'S SO CUTE.... hunter matching camila's old stories with stories of his own from when he and luz were growing up and not even Realizing how much it means to camila.... just to have this little glimpse of who luz was as a child and the pieces of her childhood that were Not defined by Endless Horrors (TM)....
