Hey!! If you're still sharing notebook pages, could I please ask to see 64 and 102?
Thanks!! Hope you're having an awesome weekend <3
Looking forward to checking out your new fic!
Hey! Yeah, of course, always happy to share more. (Also, I hope you enjoy the new fic whenever you get the chance!)
In order from left to right are pages 64 and 102 (this page goes a bit vaguely nsfw)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ask me about my writing notes!
Page 64: This is from Gold Light Falling Backward Through the Glass. Aka Glass Closet fic
(This is a couple bullet points from the first draft of the Glass Closet fic that was outlined back after The Picture in Mexico last year. It filled out in the time since this. Let's just say in the days following that pic drop and Carlos being at the Brazil house again with Lando... I felt a little insane)
[...] for awhile now, in all actuality. It makes Lando feel equal parts an ass and grateful. They agree not to tell anyone for the time being.
Coming back home from summer break is reenergizing in more ways than one. Carlos is the only one he tells about the breakup for a week before he drops the news on Instagram only to delete it shortly after. And then Carlos tells the world he's only gotten closer to Lando once they stopped being teammates, and Lando's in it deep.
They go out to dinner for Carlos' birthday and Lando tries not to overthink everything.
Lando makes the decision to invest in a nice camera going into Singapore. He's always liked photography anyway. He uses the camera as motivation to get better by taking pictures every day and showing them to the world. Plus, it'll he cool to see how he's gotten better over time. He uses the camera to set a precedent- taking pictures of everyone he seens. That way, when he starts posting about Carlos, it isn't necessarily out of the ordinary.
----
Page 102: This is from Double Exposure. Aka paddock photographer Lando fic
(These aren't so much parts of the outline as they were moments I thought of while/after it was created. More like specific moments I wanted to be sure to include because parts of the outline, especially at the beginning which included Monaco, were written more vaguely. Basically more in-depth bits extra from the outline. Also included are my own word count tracker for before and after edits 😂)
In Monaco, Lando eventually loses Carlos in the crows. He's really keyed up from the drinks and Carlos being so close. Ends up going home with some guy and having sex. Wakes up the next morning to a message from Carlos saying he hopes he got home safe.
In Zandvoort it's the first time they see each other after Spa sex. Someone tells Lando Carlos asks for him in his driver's room. Lando shows up, being like "hey what's up?" Carlos pulls him in, closes the door, and fucks Lando against the door before a session. One of Lando's legs hiked up around Carlos' hip to hold on. It feels more intense than the car.

A true #Kaiseki #Omakase & #Whisky Appreciation Dinner with a top Kaiseki chef who hails from #Sapporo #Hokkaido #Japan and superbly paired with top-notch cutting edge whiskies from the Nagano and Kagoshima region consisting of #iwai #mars Manzanilla single malt Komagatake and single malt Tsunuki - astonishingly smooth and awesome! Considered the epitome of Japanese cuisine, Chef Saitoh-san, uses his Kaiseki and Omasake technique to showcase his title as the grand master of Japanese cuisine, and he came to Singapore, out of his own desire, to share the appeals of traditional Japanese cuisine, which is recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Saitoh-san uses his professional experience and discerning eye to procure only the finest ingredients. This ability is vital in Japanese cuisine where much emphasis is placed on seasonality and the ability to bring out the best of every ingredient. Seasonal fruits and vegetables that are usually not easily obtained, as well as fish and meat of the highest quality, are procured from all over Japan. The Tasting Panel were thoroughly spoilt with an 8-course menu which was well curated with the 4 distinct whiskys on-taste at each tier within the degustation. My personal favorites were the sashimi - whiskey aburi snapper, scallop and botan shrimp… temaki hand roll, charcoal grilled kurobuta black pork infused with whiskey… and the chuturo sushi.. i like the way how the appetizer was being assembled in a kaiseki-formatted provision and the motivation behind the chef’s hand whipped matcha.. truly one of the best whiskey pairing dinners I have ever had.. @sushi.sei.sg @rosettemedia @rosett_asia The quality was impeccable, the ingredients super fresh, and sashimi well-structured.. my media rating is at 9/10, much higher than most omakases that i have tasted at well known establishments in Asia, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh and Singapore. . . #love #instagood #fashion #beautiful #happy #art #photography #style #travel #life #cute #hiso #luxury #lifestyle #SGLifestyle #like4like #photooftheday #picoftheday #instamood #ooishi (at Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpCaIIju92m/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I’ve been burnt out on dolls lately. But yesterday, having a phase of searching for the vibes of dolls and photos I used to like -- the big eyed Luts Delfs, the kind of interesting photography that reminds me of the highs of deviantart -- I suddenly felt a little bit of something again. I think the photos I used to be fascinated with used to often be taken outdoors, and since the people I followed tend to be from different countries, the landscape was often quite different from what I have here in Singapore. And in the middle of the night as I laid there thinking of why these photos fascinated me so, the thought that the light has a different colour and different temperature in different parts of the world hit me. Photos can be edited for colour, of course, but I remember being in Australia once, seeing the brightness of the sun, the colours of the plants (vibrant yet muted), and I thought, that’s a very different colour palette than tropical Singapore, where everything is bright but in a yellow-orangey-er way, with rich deep dark greens for foilage, waxy and reflective. Maybe that’s why the Australian plants looked muted to me; they’re less waxy. Anyway, I had the thought but I’m not saying these photos are anything in the way of what I thought. It’s just me feeling like I want to take some photos of Danny after I had those thoughts, and that’s what I did this morning after I had breakfast. The photos were taken in my kitchen. Danny seems to suit backlit photos the best. When front-lit, with the Singapore sun, he gets too vibrant and saturated and not right. Maybe it suggests Danny’s from a place with less sun, duller skies. I don’t know. If this made no sense, that’s fine. I haven’t done this kind of rambly-ness since deviantart days. It feels like nowadays on social media everything is streamlined for clicks and likes, and I just want to take the chance of keep-reading to dump the little flicks of excitement and connection I had.
Also, the song, I really only clicked on it by accident after spending two weeks watching Dexter and Dexter: New Blood, and it felt like the right mood.

crystal NOT in nagasaki, thailand: part one
Hello again! I hope you enjoyed reading about my adventures in Singapore! A few days into the new year, I said goodbye to my friend's incredibly kind and welcoming family in Singapore and hopped on another plane to Thailand, where I stayed for about three days.
This was my first time in Thailand and I only spent time in the city of Bangkok, so there was much of Thailand's nature and regional culture that I missed out on, and I would love to go back again someday to see more!
First, a little bit about Thailand. It's a South Asian country located on the Indochinese peninsula alongside other countries like Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar, with Malaysia to the south. It's not quite as close to the equator as Malaysia, but still had a hot and tropical climate when I visited in January.
Tumblr media
People in Thailand speak the Thai language of course, which is a tonal language like Chinese, with its own script. Buddhism is a strong part of Thai culture, and they have many temples and images of Buddha around the country. It's a constitutional monarchy, with the royal family really only holding symbolic power but being beloved and accepted by the Thai people.
With that, I'll share some about my specific experience in Bangkok, with information that I learned about the culture along the way!
On my first day in Thailand, we spent most of the day travelling and making our way to our lodging, so I'll just talk about dinner that day.
We ate at an outdoor table outside of a small local restaurant and ordered several communal dishes to share.
To drink, I got butterfly pea tea, a very popular drink in Asia. It's a lovely purple/blue color tea made from the butterfly pea flower. Lemon and sugar is usually added to make a sweet and refreshing drink.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'll be completely honest that I don't really know what the other food was because it was ordered by our friend who lives in Thailand, but it was tasty. In the red and black bowl was chicken feet soup. I did not at all like the feeling of chicken feet skin and bones in my mouth, but the taste was good.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After this, we went to a nearby bar that specialized in honey-infused drinks, which was really tasty. I was exhausted after a day of travel, so I then headed back to the lodging early to call it a night.
The next morning we met back up at a large mall called MBK center to do a little shopping. While waiting for my other friends to arrive, I got Thai iced tea flavored ice cream, and it was sooooo good.
Tumblr media
After this, we went across the street to the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre to see a few small exhibitions.
Tumblr media
The building itself was really pretty. An exhibition about womanhood had recently closed, and this one photo was left behind of some women laughing and swimming together. I thought it was beautiful and powerful, so I took a photo of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another exhibition we saw was photography taken by the queen of Thailand, which just consisted of random things the queen had taken pictures of. Our local friend told us that Thai people love their monarchs, so while we might be confused as to why the pictures warranted a whole exhibition, many Thai people were very interested in seeing the things the queen photographed in her daily life.
Next, we went to the Jim Thompson House. This was a house owned by an American merchant named Jim Thompson who relocated to Thailand in the 1940s to establish the Thai Silk Company. He was very interested in the culture and artwork of Thailand and other south Asian countries, and built the house as a place to show off his collection of south Asian art. It was interesting to see a house of Thai design filled with Asian artifacts, but that also had Western style rooms and furniture.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jim Thompson made many trips in his life around Thailand and neighboring Asian countries, but on a trip to Malaysia in 1967, he disappeared and was never heard from again. No one has ever discovered what happened to him, but his house now remains as a museum so that people can view and appreciate his collection of art.
After admiring Jim Thompson's house and art, we headed back to MBK center to have lunch, where we ate boat noodles, which are noodles seasoned with pig or cow's blood mixed with spices. At this restaurant, they had several different flavors, types of noodles, and spices, so you could order cheap small portions of noodles and try several kinds.
Tumblr media
For dessert, we got a pudding-like dessert made of coconut and pandan.
Tumblr media
After this, we spent some time in the huge mall souvenir shopping. One of the floors of the mall had many small stalls and shops selling local and traditional goods, so I was glad to find lots of cool souvenirs for my family and friends.
When we had sufficiently burned through our souvenir budgets, we headed to dinner at a nice restaurant which had various Thai dishes like pad Thai, Tom Yum Kung, and various curries. The food was pretty spicy, but delicious.
Tumblr media
After dinner, we decided it was a great idea to cram six people into a tuk tuk and head out for drinks. Tuk tuks are small three-wheeled street cabs symbolic of Thailand. They are usually cheaper than taxis, but some drivers will take advantage of foreign riders and charge them a higher fare, so tourists beware! Many of the tuk tuks in Bangkok had decorations like lights, speakers, or Buddhist images. The one we all crammed into had fun neon lights on the inside. They are definitely not built for six people, but the driver didn't seem to care as long as he was getting paid and we had a fun perilous ride to our next destination.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That night we decided to get drinks in Bangkok's gay district and then see a drag show together. Compared to many other Asian countries, Thailand is a bit more open as far as LGBT visibility and rights, and it was nice to see an area for LGBT people to enjoy themselves openly.
Tumblr media
In traditional Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, it was commonly known that there was a third gender, called kathoey. They are similar to transgender women or gay men in that they are commonly AMAB people expressing themselves in a more feminine way, but are considered to be neither woman nor man, but a third gender containing a body with two souls. It can also be used to refer to intersex people, who are not within the traditional grounds of a "male" or "female" body.
Kathoey and transgender women are visible and recognized in Thai popular culture today by the term "ladyboys." Although the term may not be the most PC, their status in society is admirable compared to many other societies where gender nonconforming people are often shunned and otherized.
Tumblr media
Anyway, we enjoyed some drinks at a bar in the gay quarter, then headed to a bar called The Stranger to enjoy a drag show by Thai drag queens (which are not synonymous with kathoeys or transgender women). The drag queens were beautiful, talented, and funny, and it was a really fun time being in a place celebrating queer people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With that, I'll leave this part here and continue my Thailand adventures in the next part. Stay tuned!

HTX Tech X Summit 2024 Opening Video ( AI Generated Content ) from HOLOGRIX™ on Vimeo.
From the creators and team that produced the Holographic Opening Performance for the launch of Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) back in 2019 ( vimeo.com/hologrix/htx ) … After five years , HTX is back and this time round, we produced an opening video using Generative AI which was something that never seen done before in Singapore as of this date of posting.
The Official Launch of the Inaugural Milipol Asia Pacific 2024, as part of HTX’s TechX Summit on 3 April 2024, we melded traditional filmmaking techniques with Generative AI content and using Gen AI tools to create an opening video that highlighted the synchronous relationship that humans and AI could have in the future.
The fruit of our labour, working with Gen AI tools was both an eye opening and frustrating experience as we while just at the tip of the ice berg. Every week some new features were updated or new apps were developed but not release yet. Therefore, there were a lot of trial and errors. We had resolution issues - our screen size was 7600 x 1600 pixel and then consistency character issues etc. Of course with over 20 years of post production and visual effect experiences, we were able to trouble shoot along the way. And I got to say … we truly experienced how advanced AI has become and also how far it has yet to go. AI is already all around us, and it will continue to machine learn FOREVER. ( Can you imagine how smart it will be in future ??? ).

week 12
One of the courses I would like to collaborate with would be dance. I will be able to put the things I've learned in studio, craft and even photography to good use. Ranging from eye catching posters to making a backdrop for them. For my final project I would love to make a mural along the MRT walkway. This would allow me to present my work to the public and maybe bring across a message. I would also be able to brighten up the dull feeling one would have as they get to work, walking through the mrt tubes. Allowing them to get a hint of colour in their monotonous day to day work life. One of the organisations I would like to work with would be ‘YouthGuidanceOutreach’. They are a group of non profit organisations that have been in the community for the last 27 years.   I would try to get these kids to help out with creating a mural around Singapore instead of creating one at the MRT. This would give a sense of accomplishment to these youths and don't feel too disheartened by the negative things that's bothering them. Not only that these youths may be able to find a new skill from the activity.CTS may help me as a product designer in the future as I would be working with different clients along the way. I will need to Journal and Document the process of my work as it will be more professional as i explain my thought process to my clients. Not only that but I've also picked up the understanding that I should embrace failure in a more positive light. Instead of beating myself up over a tiny mistake I should take it as a step to success. That is what I've managed to pick up and would apply to my future job.
Tumblr media
It was interesting looking through what my peers wrote for their future jobs. This gave me a sense of motivation as I'm not the only one who isn't sure on where they hope to be at in the future. The more we discuss the clearer my understanding on what CTS could be applied to in terms of our job aspects.

Botanical Bliss: Pre-Wedding Photoshoot in KL with Edwin
Tumblr media
IvanYolo I had the pleasure of conducting an absolutely mind-blowing pre-wedding photoshoot with Edwin, hailing from the lovely city of Singapore. And where did we decide to shoot this masterpiece, you ask? At none other than the magnificent Perdana Botanical Garden located in Kuala Lumpur, of course! As a travel photographer, I personally relish the opportunity to take photos in nature, as it allows me to enjoy some relaxation and inner calmness. And the outcomes you ask? Well, I have to admit, I am quite pleased with what I managed to achieve. My aim was to make the photos appear as dreamlike as possible. After all, it was Edwin's pre-wedding shoot, and we all know how important capturing those perfect shots can be.The shoot lasted a full 3 hours, which gave me ample time to capture every single moment of joy, love, and excitement for Edwin and his lovely wife-to-be. As is my usual style, I alternated between my Fujifilm X-T4 and my beloved Contax G1 film camera. Given that it was a rather overcast day after a heavy downpour, I managed to get some stunning still footage by using a diffusion lens filter, overexposing the shots, and using the Downtown Bloom & Ethereal Street recipe (which works great in an urban city, IMHO) but due to nature greenery, I've decided to convert it to Fujicolor Pro 400H recipe instead.
Pre-Wedding Photoshoot with Fujifilm X-T4

Fujifilm X-T4, Fujinon XF35mm F2 R WR - Botanical Garden KL I absolutely love the stunning result of the pre-wedding outdoor shoot, particularly how the color scheme blends together effortlessly to create a truly ethereal and dreamy atmosphere. From the gentle play of light and shadows to the soft textures and greenery environment, every element perfectly complements the happy couple, adding a lovely and enchanting touch to their pre-wedding celebration.Edwin had a picnic before his pre-wedding photo shoot. He wanted to take some pictures for the picnic theme he had planned. It was a little tricky with the lighting conditions as it was gloomy, but I was really grateful when the sunlight came out after the rain.During the photo shoot, which lasted for three hours, I made sure to capture as many shots as possible. I also drew inspiration from the ideas I had saved on my Pinterest board and incorporated them into the session. Prior to the shoot, I made sure to do my homework and prepare a list of posing ideas for couples so that I would have them at my fingertips during the shoot. This meticulous planning ensured that the photo session was a success, allowing me to capture unique and memorable shots that truly showcased the subjects in the best light. By always being prepared and thinking ahead, I was able to achieve stunning results and provide my clients with photos that will be cherished for years to come.
Shooting Pre-Wedding with Film Camera

Contax G1, Carl Zeiss Planar T* 45mm F2 - Botanical Garden KL My recent experience with a pre-wedding photoshoot using a Contax G1 and Kodak Gold 200 film is truly enchanting. Film photography is an art form that requires precision, skill, and patience - qualities that you definitely possess. The Kodak Gold 200 is also one of my first film roll ever used since I started with film photography projects. The Kodak Gold 200 has long been a favorite among photographers for its unique look and versatility in different lighting situations. And the Contax G1 is a remarkable camera that is loved among the film photography community for its exceptional portrait and commercial capabilities. I find the film camera is really suitable for this type of shoot, especially for creative portraits that every film photographer is trying to achieve, which is the dreamy cinematic scenes in Wong Kar Wai's Hong Kong movies. As usual, I'm unable to finish the roll and left it for the color double exposure project. I chose to use Kodak Gold 200 - a film that I have long admired for its ability to capture the warmth and vibrancy of sunny outdoor scenes. Despite its versatility, I find that this film lends itself especially well to outdoor shoots and produces a beautiful, warm film tone characteristic that truly enhances the visual effect of my work.
