i know this isn't exactly what you usually talk about but i need to ask somewhere and you seem really safe and kind about stuff.

I'm struggling to work out if i 'count' as physically disabled - because like most of my problems (fatigue, joint pains, weakness) are Not That Bad™️ and most of them would probably get a lot better if not go away completely if i did things like eat better and sleep properly and exercise more but between the aforementioned fatigue and pain and the autism and the having a 9-5 job and so on it makes it practically impossible to do those things anyway. Like yeah my weak ass legs would probably be better if i did exercise but i dont have the time or the energy.

But then also Something Is Up like i had back pain at age 5 - that's not normal. Nobody ever diagnosed it as anything i just went to a chiro a few times and got some stretches i rarely did because a) i was a kid and b) the stretches either didnt do anything at all, or were literally impossible. Like there were a few that were completely trivial and i could do to the maximum extension of healthy joints unless i was otherwise injured, and others where i physically couldn't reach the starting position - not even always because of pain but just because my joints physically didnt move that far. (I try to do the ones i can still at least sometimes but i've forgotten the ones that were physically impossible) So like there has to be Something up - a 5 year old does not get back pain for lifestyle reasons.

Idk. this is getting ramble-y i think but i just don't know what i feel and I'm so shit scared of doctors (for no good reason, they're just very stressful environments) that i haven't ever brought any of it up as an adult and so there hasn't been any attempt to do anything about it anyway but also i'll probably just get told to stretch and exercise anyway and as discussed that isn't always an option.

I read a fair bit of physical disability stuff and i sometimes reblog or engage with it a little bit if it's like 'oof ouch my back' or whatever that i relate to really obviously, but idk if I'm allowed to be in those spaces more obviously or what i should do about any of it either.

(ow. my hands hurt from holding my phone to type all that. that's getting worse too. not sure what's up with that...)

generally i'd say that if you're experiencing joint pain, especially right as you begin standing on your feet and weakness, there's a very good chance there's an underlying issue. that's enough to say that you're physically disabled, as it's impacting your ability to work, stand on your feet, and so on. it's up to an individual to decide whether or not they feel disabled by their aches, pains and so on

definitely try to avoid chiropractors moving forward- most of what they do is nebulously helpful at best and damaging at worst. if you are able to do so, seeing a rheumatologist, orthopedist, physical therapist or kinesiologist. you may be able to speak to a pain management specialist in your area if that's necessary. you can get referrals to these types of specialists and appointments through your doctor.

best of luck in figuring out what's going on. i would say it sounds like that's disabling for you. i hope you're able to get some help for that so you can have an easier time. take care for now, stay safe

16. Theo gets to a point later in life where money is thankfully not a huge concern (inheritance paying out, plus thieves guild work and a well compensated employment??? Slay) but in her early twenties she spent a few months in Mournhold. She was broke as shit during this time but really fell in love with the fashion. Definitely wanted some dress the noblewomen wore.

7. I’d describe Theo as Determined, Free-spirited, Conscious

Theo would describe herself as Thrill-seeking, Thoughtful, Mourning (two of these are hyphenated words but shhhhhhhhh 😛)

16. This may be cheating as money is only part of the issue but if money was no object Phy would wear a lot of those beautiful glowing gowns from the Summerset Isles. Her mother is a leatherwork do she already has high quality hunting gear and armour. But aside from the prices, Phy doesn’t feel welcomed to participate in Altmer culture. Without going into too much detail (as we’d be here for a while haha), her relationship with her Altmer father was never good. She knows very little and always feels awkward when expected to know things, she very culturally Bosmer due to being raised solely by her mother. She (mostly) follows the Green Pact, worships Y’ffre, a master hunter. But one day she tries on a fancy imported dress and sees herself and has an 🥺 moment. Theo buys her one ❤️

I can't wait until i actually get myself a cane, my parents won't listen to me whenever i tell them i need one for my back pain, just a few more months until I'm an adult and can buy my own

i'm glad you'll be able to get one soon! people are very weird about canes. we have this misconception that they're only for old people, but anyone can try one out and see if it's right for them if they feel they may need one. it's helped me with my bad balance tremendously, and it helps out my knees and my bad right leg. i hope that it helps you once you get one!

Mm, based on how you have an architect, is it safe to assume the cave you live in is no ordinary natural formation? Can you tell me more about it?

actually it used to be! even a popular as landering is, the mountains to the north are politically protected as both a wyvern habitat and an Old dragon habitat (thanks to phy) so it's pretty quiet up there. for an Old dragon, phy gets out a lot though, so she ended up collecting friends and partners.

initially it really was just a large cave in the mountains, but once the group got big enough we got maddie on board and she got to do a lot of fun stonemoving. nowadays the cave system represents a sketchbook, lots of weird experimental shapes and textures that she changes in her off time.

she likes the look of intricate Renaissance freizes and walls, but brutalism is more fun to build, so those tend to be the most common styles. now she sticks around because we let her practice, and also for Ezira's cooking.

Sorry this took a few days! Thank you so much for the ask 🥰 As we talked about answering this for both Theo and Phy

Theodora: There are a few 😅 Pretty much the entire court at the Blue Palace. Initially Theodora is disliked due to her parents. Her father was a known criminal who may or may not have set fire to East Empire Company warehouse back in 4E 176 but also her mother caused quite the scandal by running away with him. Her mothers family had been involved in court, her father the new Captain of the Guard; so running away from her engagement with a pirate was a lot 😅 Then they find new reasons to not like Theo, thinking she doesn’t understand the role of duty, Nord culture, etc. But like Theo doesn’t really care and doesn’t interact with Court save for when necessary. An exception would be Elisif, who was wary of her from what she heard but they’ve had a few convos and she ends up envying Theo for having more freedom than her. They are about the same age but very different lives.

Phy: Maven Black-Briar does not like Phy because Phy had a thing with her daughter Ingun for a bit and she does not want any member of the Thieves Guild near her daughter. Especially not the tall mer Guildmaster who spends too much time in the woods…

ugh im teaching higher level maths for the first time in ages this year and yeah i've put in enough extra time outside lessons to halve my hourly wage to learn the content properly but ive missed this. i forgot how fun it can be. matrices! proofs! vectors! and I finally managed to conquer perms and combs! (ofc there are still fun questions in regular level maths but the topics get repetitive after five years). i dont think im going to have time next year to tutor at all and that makes me sad
