Picture Hangers - There's a Variety of Types
Picture hanging hooks are a necessary tool for anyone looking to display artwork or photographs on a wall. There are a variety of different types of professional picture hangers available on the market, so it can be confusing to know which one is right for your needs. In this article, we will introduce the three most common types of picture hangers- command strips, sawtooth hooks, and monkey hooks, and discuss when and where they are best used. No matter what size or style of artwork you're looking to hang, there's undoubtedly the right type of picture hanging hook to get the job done.
Command Strips
Command Strips are adhesive strips that come with double-sided tape. The strips hold strongly to a variety of surfaces, including painted walls, wood, tile and glass. They are easy to use; simply remove the backing and attach the strip to the back of your picture frame. The adhesive strip will hold the picture frame in place without damaging your walls.
Tumblr media
Command Strips are ideal for temporary displays or when you want to move your pictures around often. They are also a good choice for small pictures or frames that are lightweight. However, they are not recommended for use with large, heavy frames or on surfaces where there is moisture or humidity.
Sawtooth Hooks
Sawtooth hooks have a V-shaped notch in the top of the hook that allows them to grip onto the edge of a picture frame. The notch also helps to keep the hook from slipping out of the frame. Sawtooth hooks are attached to the wall with screws and come with plastic wall anchors for added security. Sawtooth hooks are ideal for hanging medium to large frames on drywall or plasterboard walls. They can also be used on wood panels or other smooth surfaces. However, they should not be used on surfaces that are prone to moisture or humidity, such as bathroom walls.
Monkey Hooks
Monkey Hooks are made of metal and have a pointed end that allows them to be inserted into drywall, plasterboard or wood panelling. The hooked end wraps around the back of the picture frame and holds it in place. Monkey Hooks come with screws and wall anchors for attachment to the wall.
Tumblr media
Monkey Hooks are ideal for hanging medium to large frames on drywall, plasterboard or wooden walls. They can also be used on surfaces where there is some texture, such as rendered walls or brickwork. However, they should not be used on surfaces that are prone to moisture or humidity, such as bathroom walls or  outdoors. No matter what type of picture hanger you choose, be sure to follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging your walls.
Conclusion
Ultimately, there is the right type of hanger for whatever artwork you are looking to display. If you are unsure which type of picture hanging hook is best for you, Gallery Systems Australia can help. We offer expert picture hanging advice and systems that will ensure your artwork looks great and stays safe and secure.

"This is off the wall, I know," said the Bursar, brightly.
"What is?" said the Lecturer in Recent Runes.
"A hook for hanging pictures on."
There was a brief embarrassed silence.

decided to crochet a sweater and it's going well. i feel like I'm going so slow and doing things wrong but i know I'm doing everything right and going at a very valid pace. it's been a week and I'm probably a quarter of the way done, and it's very normal to take a full month to crochet a sweater. making a granny hexagon cardigan so it's two wobbly pooking hexagon panels that'll turn into a sweater once they're joined together, very easy repetitive work up, I've gotten to a point where if i manage not to think too hard i can do it without looking for a while. once i start thinking i fuck up immediately lol. but it makes it good work to do while watching star trek or YouTube and plenty easy to hold a conversation. feeling slightly discouraged with how quickly it's getting so much longer to complete a round, but logically i know each round adds six clusters, which is 18 stitches. the most recent round i finished was 126 clusters, so 378 stitches (+132 chains between them) which. that's a lot, and on top of it I'm changing colors every few rounds as well. I'm working at a fine pace. that's an insane number of stitches compared to most of the projects I've done. i can easily say about half of my projects have had that many stitches total if not less. it's going to feel like it's taking a long time. but when I'm finished I'll have a sweater. i love the colors i chose, i love the texture of the yarn, I'll be able to throw it in the wash and the fiber mix means it shouldn't shrink any significant amount. i plan to make it just on the large side in case it does a bit. I'm excited and tired and wanted to scream into the void about it

prison bf series linked here !

˚ ✧ ───────────
prison bf ! toji who beats the shit out of other inmates to have more time on the commissary phone with you, pocketing loose change from his bunkmates to use on your weekly calls.
“this is an automated message from the tokyo prefecture rehabilitative penitentiary, to accept, pres—“
“hey pretty girl.” the bass of his voice sends a tremor up the length of your spine. you can already picture his bulky form leaning up against the brick walls of the prison mess hall.
“hi toji.” you giggle, swinging your legs behind you with glee. “did you get my package?”
“course i got your package.” he laughs, slipping a hand into his pocket to fiddle with the trio of polaroids you’d slipped into the letter. “guards gave me a ton of shit for it though.”
“aww i’m sorry.” you mumble, feeling guilty for the trouble.
“nah, don’t worry about it baby.” he laughs, shifting to looking through the candids you sent of your sweet smile.
“did you end u—”
“wrap it up fushiguro i need to call my fucking lawyer!”
the crunch you hear through the receiver is nothing short of sickening. it’s a while before the older man brings the phone back to his mouth, mumbling incoherently to himself.
“—blood on my fucking hands… hello?”
“i’m here toji.” you say, listening intently to the sound of shrill guard whistles blowing in the background. “do you have to go?”
“you know how it is babydoll.” he says apologetically. you cant help but squeeze your thighs together at how soft he can be with you, even with blood splattered across his knuckles and a room full of men who fear him.
“you’ll visit me this week right?” he asks, wiping his hands on the front of his wifebeater.
“mhm, i’m driving up tomorrow! you want me to bring you anything special?”
“you uhh, still got those chips i like at home?”
“you know i do.”
“that’s my girl.” he laughs, hanging the phone back up on the hook.
