Readers Pov

It was now 12:00 pm , as I apply my lashes and add the last few touches to my makeup

Once I was done , I headed towards my nightstand grabbing my phone off it's charger , nothing that I had a notification from the group chat

Unlocking my phone as I tap on the notification to see that it was from Izaniya and Alissah

Alissah : Hey .. meet me at Shibuya Station , in 25 minutes

Izaniya : Got it ..

Y/n: Sure .. be there in 15

Locking my phone as I head towards my walk in closet , scanning through my clothes deciding to go with a outfit in pruple since my matching bra and panties were purple

After I was done getting dressed and applying lotion, I grab my purse/crossbag , unzipping it to add my phone , camera , lipgloss , 3,000 dollars and my pocket knife that my mother bought me

Putting on my glasses to add to the look as I check myself pit in the mirror giving myself a pleased smile and head nod as I turn and head out my bedroom door , closing it behind me

Walking past my maids as they bow as I head down the hall

Once I was at the end of the hallway , making a left turn as I head for the kitchen grabbing an apple as the maids were per paring dinner

Putting on my shows as I head out the front door , heading stright down the road towards Shibuya

Lucky for me , my mansion was only 5 minutes away so it gave me extra time to take down my hair and re-style it all over

After Five minutes of walking

I finally arrived to Shibuya Crossing , waiting for a few minutes before the crossing

Once I was across the road I decided to wait in front of the huge bill board we always met up at

While walking towards the bill board , trying to get my phone put of my purse

As I was looking through my purse I bumped into someone , quickly turning to see that it was a male and female

It was a tall slender male,he worea ligh blue button up shirt with greyish looking pants ,but what caught my attention was that he wore a emotionless expression, that seem to spark woth interest once he saw me guving me chills but I quickly push the feeling aside

Random bitch: Hey bitch , watch were your going *yells at you *

Y/n: Tf did you just call me *looks at the girl with a bored expression *

Random bitch: I said watch where your going bit-*gets cutt of by you grabbing her hair*

Y/n: Call me a bitch again and I won't hesitate to cut your throat got it *holding your pocket knife towards her neck *

Random Bitch: *nods head yes while trembling *

Y/n: Good *pushes her towards the guy* Control your whore *says with a emotionless face*

After putting that butch in her place , I place my pocket knife back in my purse and taking out my phone seeing that the Izaniya and Alissah were waiting bu the bill board

After walking through the crowd i saw both Izaniya and Alissah

Izaniya : So what did you have us meet up for * looks towards Alissah*

Alissah: Oh yeah .. so my mother basically put me out because HER boyfriend tried to talk to me mind you he always been a creep since she brought him home *rolls eyes and sighs *

Izaniya : I agree you should let her *nods in agreement *

While walking we noticed red lights/leasers coming from the sky becoming confused we decided to ignore it as we headed inside starbuck

Sitting at one of the booths after ordering we started a conversation again

After waiting a good 20 minutes we notcied that it became extremely quite

Looking around we seeing that we were the only ones here

Izaniya: Did everyone leave *confused *

Alissah: I don't know.. I didn’t hear anyone leave *looks around *

Izaniya: Should we check outside *looks at y/n*

Y/n: Yeah come on *grabs purse and leaves out starbucks *

After heading out of starbucks , I decided to have eveyone split up and meet back at Shibuya Crossing

Y/n: We meet back here in 15 minutes got it *looks at both Izaniya and Alissah*

Alissah: Yea*nods*

Izaniya : Mhm*nods*

Y/n: Ok .. Alissah you go left *looks at Alissah *

Alissah: Got it * heads left *

Y/n: Izaniya you go right and I'll go ahead *turns towards Izaniya*

Izaniya: Yea *nods and heads right*

Once Alissah and Izaniya were gone , I turned and headed straight looking for any sign of a living human other then us , checking every store/shop along the way

books read in December:

The Fire This Time: A New Generation Speaks about Race, Jesmyn Ward: Great essays, really liked it, learned a lot. At the same time I am starting to feel like the issue isn’t so much needing to learn new information as much as it is consistently listening and understanding and applying what I do already know, and I do wish there was more about that, if that makes sense.

Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City, Matthew Desmond: I had been putting off reading this for years because it felt like a book I should read and I kind of assumed it would be like a long article or a series of housing white papers. It is the opposite of that. It’s rare you find writing this good in nonfiction. Everyone should read this. I did have to keep taking breaks because it was very upsetting, just the realities of this system which I knew about already from the perspective of working with voucher holders and people trying to get vouchers. But probably the best nonfiction I’ve read since the pandemic.

Chemistry, Weike Wang: I liked the stream-of-consciousness style, almost like reading someone’s diary. I found the main character’s struggle with expectations, with herself, and with coming to terms with both what her parents did to her and and did for her really compelling. It helped me better understand my friends who are or have been in graduate programs. A little hetero for me but nothing’s perfect.

False Bingo, Jac Jemc: So the stories are clever and the author builds suspense well, and the one about the board game couple was a  delightfully scathing portrait of trying to have friends in your 30s. But. They were mostly kind of boring, kind of caught up in their own cleverness, kind of suffused with a certain middle-class midwestern realism that I find dull and off-putting, and occasionally kind of tone-deaf to the point of offensive. There’s one where these women in this town keep getting attacked and the twist is that one woman lied about being attacked to get herself out of a difficult conversation with her boyfriend, and then all the others wanted to feel special and included so they faked it too, and the people honestly upset about the violence against women are chumps who should have known better. And like... sure, fiction should absolutely be able to just go “if there were two guys on the moon and one killed another with a rock would that be fucked up or what!” but. Jac Jemc isn’t Gillian Flynn, who can and does pull this type of subversion off well. And reading it during the current backlash, in the wake of the Amber Heard debacle and while Meghan Thee Stallion was being pilloried for being attacked and daring to say she was, like I said, tone-deaf to the point of offensive.

Last Night in Nuuk, Niviaq Korneliussen, trans. Anna Halagar: Mama Mia wishes its big night was half as wild as the big night in this story. Again, I found the stream of consciousness style enjoyable, though this was more like being tapped into someone’s internal monologue who is very hung over. It’s gay, it’s queer, it’s trans, it’s complicated. I... really wish authors would stop having their queer women characters declare that being with a butch woman is “just like a man without the penis.” And like. How you know they’re Real Lesbians is that they’re into women not ugly bull-dykes. I also wish the trans man’s trans-ness had felt less like it could just have easily been stone butch-ness. But I think that’s more of a me problem where like... I have had enough people treat the state where I exist comfortably as both gross and a pit-stop on the way to inevitable transition (which I don’t want for me) that stories that even unintentionally play into that aren’t enjoyable to me, even as I recognize that they’re transformative and important for others.

Pet Headcanons for the boys!! (1/?)

Mac doesn’t really have any per-se, but he often feeds and plays with the stray cats that hang around Doc’s gym. The two of them have been talking about trying to catch and rehome them for a while now.

Joe has a fluffy persian cat named Chouchou. She’s incredibly sweet, but there is not a single thought behind those big eyes of hers.

Birdie has a corn snake named Candy Corn! (or just candy for short) She’s very clingy with Birdie, and will often sneak into his gym bag when he’s not looking. She caused quite a ruckus the first time it happened.

Aran’s family has two dogs, an old Irish setter named Duchess, and a mutt they picked up off the street named Rascal. And while he’s not technically a pet, Moira has managed to befriend a crow, which she’s taken to calling Flapjack.

Muscle owns a tiny little black and gray kitten he found as a stray. He’s named him Diablo, both for the fact that he’s a giant troublemaker, and that his ears curl in slightly like devil horns.

Narcis has had many, many pets in the past, most of them rabbits of some sort. His current darling is a english lop named Chiffon, who he’s had for the past three years. He absolutely adores her, and spoils her absolutely rotten.

Macho, of course, has his beloved dobermans, Bullet, Bruiser, and Butch. They’ve been with him for years now, and have helped him get through some pretty tough times. (hc stolen from @/askthewvba)

Disco has a lot of pets, most of them unusual or exotic. He has a caiman lizard named Skittles, a tank of moon jellyfish, all named after various lunar gods, and a couple of gorgeous betta fish (kept in separate tanks!) named after various gemstones. There’s also a pit bull named Athena, but she’s more of the family’s pet rather than Disco’s.

Hugger, of course, has his forest friends! Once again, none of them really count as pets but he loves them all the same. Most of them don’t leave the forest, but Chip the squirrel likes to accompany Hugger whenever he can.
