Big Disclaimer here: I, personally, don't condone the "Kira Plan" in any way, shape, or form. I don't even believe that there is a "correct" way to enact it. Does MC knew Juliette was married before they started pursuing her? I don't like the cheating trope but so I'm hopefully curious about how you're planning to go along with it

ah bonnie, cheating is an automatic ‘no’ for me irl but in fiction, it’s more of a grey area. i won’t sit here and tell you that it’s 100% a-okay, but context does matter and that here is that juliette’s marriage to viscount phillipe is built on nothing but monetary ties and the boost of their respective patriarch’s status in the french society.

MC will be made aware of juliette’s marriage and also that there wasn’t, and has never been, any love between her and the man she’s married to; viscount phillipe doesn’t even know what juliette’s favourite flowers are and expects her to shut up after he sends his servants to pick out random ones and throws them at her face as a gesture of ‘care’. he himself says that he likes visiting brothels more than he likes spending time with his wife.

trust me, the only reason he even cared that juliette was having an affair in the first place was because it made him look like an idiot in front of everyone. the people working in his estate highly prefer juliette over him, which is saying something since he’s the one paying them 💀

It is a story about changing times and no-win political situations - as played through a protagonist put into a position of power who is particularly very, very bad at any sort of diplomacy.

While I would describe the over-all tone as dark and for more mature audiences, it is far from devoid of levity.

The gameplay mainly revolves around dealing with and occasionally manipulating powerful people and their batshit ideas, in order to secure what you think is the best outcome for your family and people. (And sometimes that involves indulging a Lord in procuring his prize hog from the middle of war zone.) 

I’m not currently committing to posting dev logs (I may eventually, if anyone were to care about such a thing), but production is underway and I love to muck around answering questions about the project, world, and characters in my spare time.

(Also, why “black/furry”? Because you can play as either human or “snout mode”. Solely because I wanted to. It’s mainly a cosmetic difference - changes in talk sprites and body language descriptions.)

The boys lack genre awareness in general. It’s a trend I’ve noticed in translations and adaptations. Achilles thinks he’s in a Bodice Ripper Romance. Half the time Patroclus thinks he’s in Tragedy à la Sophocles and the other half it’s like Chivalry Historical Fiction. What they both don’t know is they’re actually in a Shakespearean stage play directed by Quentin Tarantino and produced by early-career Mel Brooks. And unfortunately for them Tolstoy did an uncredited rewrite (though the rumors suggest it was actually Hugo). smh

Achilles and Patroclus are usually in a world of their own no matter the translation/adaptation, honestly 🤣 The funniest thing even in the Iliad is the other generals losing their shit and getting their ass handed to them for several books, meanwhile Achilles and Pat are chilling in their camp and probably getting up to all sorts of sit com level shenanigans with the other Myrmidons. Living in their own niche since 13th cent BC ✌️

I cast spell of ungun

all ranged weapons¹ on Earth or in its general vicinity fall apart and turn into small orbs which have the exact same mass and materials as the weapon but now in several small orbs which cannot easily be reassembled into a weapon.

as soon as anyone crafts a new weapon I turn it into orbs. this doesn't end violence but it significantly complicates things and slows it down. many people - such as cops, politicians, and particularly passionate antique collectors - are angry and want to kill me for this but they can't reach me with their rangeless weapons and harmless orbs and I watch them from my wizard tower and laugh but then I notice that my wiimote has orbified.

puzzled and concerned by the implications, I ponder the orbs...

1. a ranged weapon is defined as any inanimate object whose intended purpose is to injure or kill humans without touching them directly or with a held weapon.

There's something delightfully fucked up about somehow binding people's consciousness to animatronics and then taking that a step further to turn part of your spirit or whatever into code to gain another form of immortality. I also Really dig the idea of Glitchtrap killing OG Afton - almost something poetic about the shift of power from Afton being killed by his own OpenAi-Powered fursona for me. But I guess he probably canonically died in Pizza Sim.

I like Help Wanted+SB era FNAF a lot more than the older games, but there's so many interesting things to carry forward from the old stuff too. My city now.
