Planner Months 1-6! For my Bullet Journal this year I went with a Pokemon theme because I wanted to get through the absurd amount of Pokemon stickers I had. Last year it was pretty drawing heavy and I ended up burnt out. So, by just going with stickers and color themes I usually do it’s made the whole thing a lot more enjoyable and satisfying for me! In May I even took up a new method because the journal/method from before just wasn’t working for me anymore. In June I was able to show some of the actual pages I use too! Junes definitely my favorite, the rainbow colors and pride flag spark so much joy for me.

Wanting to do a check on who does TTRPG design in notebooks.

Right now I've mainly just been using it as a way to focus on brainstorming and writing down thoughts. I'm trying to also work in ways to also do commonplace book stuff to write down interesting ideas from articles and posts from others as well as write down my favorite mechanics from my research.

Any insights from others about ways to utilize physical note taking into their design, or need a reason to show off their own notebook?

I was already very happy with the little pocket sized Filofax I bought on eBay to hopefully save me money in the long term on expensive dated planners, since the refills are cheap as chips once the upfront cost of the binder itself is taken care of, and it'll last me for potentially decades since I got a genuine leather one, but I have recently realised I don't even need to buy the official inserts because there are any amount of free printable ones online AND ALSO I can just make my own on Affinity Publisher to look however I want and then print them out for the price of printer paper and toner.

For my yearly vision board/mood board thing, I did an exercise from Hemlock and Oak’s free downloads (check out their notebooks—they’re beautiful!) to narrow down my core values. Then I made this diagram and put it at the front of the yearly planner I designed so I can remember to keep my core values in mind as I make plans.

To the right, I pasted in some of my favorite photos I’ve taken and edited in order to inspire me to get back into photography again. I miss editing photos in this way.

The second picture shows the Traveler’s style notebook cover I use to house both my yearly and quarterly books. It is a5 size.
