So happy to release this restaurant to my the Sims Community! Bomb Eats is now open for business for TS4!

If you are a IMVU player than you have probably seen the original Bomb Eats created by BombQueen. A very special shout out to her for inspiring me to create this lot! 💗💗💗

This lot comes fully furnished with over 80 new meshes I converted! 13 New foods + 5 New Drinks that will appear on the menu. Food has all morphs (partial, empty plate, and hand props) and can only be found in restaurant menu options and not cooked at home.

Although not required to play this lot, please consider downloading "More Menu Options" by MizoreYukii to allow for more than the default 30 dishes to appear on restaurant menus.

As well as download Carl's "Dine Out Reloaded" to enhance dining gameplay!

Please remember to place the lot using the Cheat 'bb.Moveobjects on'

so I've been laisuro brainrotting so much that i spent actual money to make what i see as their apartment in imvu. In the au this is for (modern, transfemme shuro), Shuro (goes by Shuri) left his family, and lives with Laios in an apartment Senshi gave them. (Senshi runs a restaurant that the party works at, but Laios is trying to find better paying work and failing and Shuri only works on occasion since she has an autoimmune condition). Jeice: Obsessed with dress to impress on roblox. Doesn't care about the Lana lore because he hates horror. Also really good at guitar hero. Sonwtimes plays fortnite with Guldo but he's not good at shooters so ends up rage quitting battle royal and just playing festival instead.

Recoome: plays sims 4 exclusively. Has every expansion pack, has all the mods (whicked wims etc), millions of cc. Probably has a sims 4 spacetube channel.

Burter: Cooking mama STAN. Really likes Street Fighter and 2d sonic games.

Guldo: Fortnite. HATES "newgens". Always complains about the mythic items. Is a menace in COD lobbies. Also likes Minecraft.

Captain Ginyu: Candy Crush. He emails the developers daily asking nicely for new levels. (He's sending death threats)

Zarbon: still playing Imvu for whatever fucking reason

Axel: team sonic racing. Any sonic game. Has tge high score on every racing arcade game she comes across. Fairly decent at Fortnite battle royal. Always the top player in rocket league tho.

And as a bonus: the entire force (zarbon not included) will destroy you at dance dance revolution AND Just Dance

Not to be biased but why is it when someone is causing trouble in the sims community it's always coming from IMVU and SL creators?? Like, this isn't JUST about the @lindasims2 thing either. It's been like this for YEARS. I try not to talk inside baseball on Simnostalgia really because I have a lot of casual players but like...

Year after year the biggest stupidest drama is always IMVU and Second Lifers coming in with their crumpled meshes, overedited photos, and cringe 'instagram baddie' fashion that ages TERRIBLY and looks like dogshit in game. Flooding the CC market with asset flips and trying to monetize content creation while giving out unsolicited advice. It's garbage and not what our hobbyist community is about.

The problem is that we don't oppress users coming from MMO social games enough.

Violet is probably a former/recovering Maple Story/Gaia player, Ren has Played Them All but stuck with Elder Scrolls/FFXIV, Jae played IMVU and Habbo when he was younger (technically not MMOs, but it's probably how he got into them), Olivia probably tried to get into Runescape once to impress her crush, and Moth has a rather obscure taste in games, including things like Tera, Wizard101, and Flyff ^^;

Do you know? I can't take it anymore... speaking as a creator and a player... I've been creating custom content for a fucking year... and I've never paid for it because I love that people can enjoy my content !! It's a fucking hobby... for some creators of the patreon sims you have me fucking tired with your fucking complaints that they steal your cc meshes, share them on sites and you know what? I see it normal, logical even ACCEPTABLE! That they share your content because you skip EA's policies! stop treating the sims saga as if you had created the fucking game from scratch ..if you think that patreon is going to give you enough money to support yourself financially, you are totally wrong! You know, sometimes I think that ea should take more measures in the matter or qualify the creators... because this is already too much... I'm also tired that if someone finds out that they share their content, they start to cry... FRIEND, YES YOU COMPLAIN SO MUCH ABOUT THEM SHARING YOUR CONTENT RESPECT THE FUCKING POLICIES OF EA! HOW HARD IT IS TO UNDERSTAND ! If we all complied with policies, no group like patreon destroyed and more ... they would not exist !!

It also seems disgusting to me about some creators that you put on payment walls and on some permanent occasions... such as cowbuild, pixelvibes and others others are from SL and surely open many others from imvu... (here is the one that plays imvu) oh well...

I understand that the programs you use cost you money, the hours you spend on the computer making content but friend...remember that you are a person with a hobby AND CREATING CONTENT FOR THE SIMS IS NOT A REAL JOB!!!

I really know that my content that I make sometimes is shit, the quality, textures, everything... but I try better as a creator and enjoy creating but damn I don't put it on a paywall and I start crying, also if I'm a honest I understand that I have all of you but sometimes I think that why do I have them if in 6 or 7 years I'm not here anymore... I'm still WORKING on what I've studied....

Also if I'm honest, sometimes I really analyze the creators and almost the majority of them see that they are for the fucking money and not for the fanaticism and that they have been playing the game for years

MARE is one of the coolest mods I've seen in a video game. Synching mods with other players via friend codes is crazy. ppl are killing eachother over doing IMVU shit with it. it's really funny how this turned out.

Mare is incredibly cool and honestly a miracle that it even exists and does what it does WELL but I've seen some real wacky shit with it LMAO. One time I was at a venue (you are allowed to make fun of me for this) and someone asked for my mare code and got legitimately mad at me when the only thing that happened to my character was that he got slightly more buff and a longer beard. I should post some of my mare horror screenshots on here sometime

The real difference between WoW RP and FFXIV RP is that FFXIV is varied enough to support different climes of Roleplayers. There are legions of WoW-style RPers and all it takes is a look at the Quicksand on Mateus (woah, everyone standing around waiting for walkups? deja vu) ..if WoW had player housing and modding, you can bet your ass it'd have the same club and imvu bullshit FFXIV does. There's 0 difference otherwise besides WoW players being characteristically inflexible in everything.

The Death of the Virtual World Era: A Retrospective Glance

Habbo Hotel, Club Penguin, IMVU, Gaia Online. All of these once beloved web apps have slowly faded into obscurity, either by shutting down or by a loss of player base. Growing up, I always adored online virtual world games. For all who played them, they offered, friendship, enjoyment, and escapism. You could be anything you wanted to be so long as there was a community for it. Want to roleplay as a mafia boss and run a high-end casino? Or maybe family roleplay is more your speed and you'd like to adopt or get adopted. Or maybe you just wanted to hangout and meet other people being your genuine self. These games offered that and are so treasured and yet still, they've vanished. But why?

Anyone whose even looked a little into the death of the virtual world empire that took the internet by storm in the mid 2000's-2010's knows that there's a fairly easily traced to one big factor: A lack of new players. As these games got older, so did their player bases. In turn, the virtual worlds would take one of two approaches on average to combat this: a. Lean towards a maturing audience in order to appease their existing player base.

b. Go for a hyper kid-friendly approach to attempt to draw in new, younger players.

The primary flaw with the first method mainly laid in the fact that older players are more prone to leaving the virtual worlds; either by getting bored and quitting intentionally, or by simply being an adult and having life cause the time investment into the world to sink in exchange for other demands on their time.

The second approach's flaw is a bit more complicated. A big reason many corporate execs thought that option B was the best route to take is that it by all means appears to be on the surface. New blood means new money and traffic and means that even if a player loses interest in the game, a new one will take their place. However many countries have strict laws governing businesses that are directed for children; and this ramped up in the mid-late 2010's. Companies could no longer shove advertisements at kids in the same way that they could in years prior. Children's online safety acts swept across the US, Canada, and the UK in response to parental concern over a multitude of websites and web activities.

As a result, it became increasingly more expensive to run these types of worlds while targeting kids. Heavy moderation teams were required, and advertising became a much more expensive process. This caused many great titans to fall. While some, like club penguin and webkinz, have tried their hands at re-launching their games for a mobile-centric audience, they just haven't had the pull that they used to have.

Ironically, those games who leaned into an older audience- such as IMVU, Habbo, and Gaia, all still remain in (relatively) their original state with an active- but smaller- player base. I feel as though a big player in their success lies in both the nostalgia they bring as well as the niche communities they've formed. Are any of these good by today's standards? Well... That's a rant for another day.

The funniest thing I like to be a little elitist over is my dedication to realism with my RPG player characters vs other people’s IMVU modded IG glam filter thot baddies. The best part about Baldur’s Gate was the little “age” slider where I could give my character smile lines and crows feet! I slid that about halfway bc I am imagining my girl is like 35 and has spent most of her life on the streets or outside in the sun with no spf and she’s drank and spent sleepless nights hunting and even her elf dna can’t save her from aging!! I get so excited when cutscenes show her from a 3/4 angle and I can see her scars and wrinkles and age spots and freckles! And then I see other people with the sexy pouty filler lips, smoldering makeup, thick luscious Pinterest ass hair and skimpy clothes and I laugh. “Amazing wing mod for fairy wings” well my characters is middle aged and looks like it. I’m not contributing to the unrealistic beauty standards in fiction or real life. She has age spots.

i actually drew her recently! her name is paz! im unsure on age but she's an older teenage girl who died under Mysterious Circumstances which resulted in her soul getting trapped in the internet/digital world instead of the afterlife. she "lives" in mmo games like second life or imvu or just any social sim mmo like that and is known by other players as a hacker cause she likes to glitch and pull harmless pranks on people. she's a cool cucumber but also if she slows down too much she will be consumed by existential dread. it happens
