Favorite thing about them:

I’m not even joking when I say everything. Brooke Lhost save me. I do think the bit where she writes French phrases on her hands and says them to Jeremy is really funny, I love her.

LEAST favorite thing about them:

I know I have criticisms but nothing is immediately coming to mind so I might edit this and add something later :(

favorite line:

“scary! I have some issues with dairy :(” genuinely so funny of her to openly mention in the second conversation she’s ever had with this boy. She is the exact representation we need for people who are lactose intolerant but still eat icecream. On a more serious note “I just want someone to see me first” is devastating.

her and Jenna (iced tea I think?) :(((( I’m so so so sad they never got any scenes together after the play. I have a really specific way I see them, where I feel like Brooke recognizes how much they leave Jenna out, and in a way the only thing holding her back from ever making real honest friends with her is the need to uphold her own status. Also puppylove, I need them to be besties BAD.

OTP:

playride. I will die on this hill. Have you ever seen someone pine so hard that it makes them physically sick?? That’s what Brooke has going on. I think about them a lot and how they both end up in this friend group where they see each other around a bunch but maybe don’t really talk individually a lot. Christine is experiencing the Jake Dillinger effect of only being important to him when he wants her to be, while Brooke is dealing with having to be the “second choice” to Chloe, and it sort of just over time morphs into them being friends with each other (fully based on that one scene in bway bmc where Brooke frowns and sympathetically pats Christine’s shoulder after Chloe says her “he got bored of you” line). I also think that Brooke would somewhat admire Christine’s ability to recognize her own boundaries and break up with Jake, even if she never admits anything about it. I would do outlandish things for three minutes of playride screentime. Pleas….

I’m so sorry pinkberry moots. As much as I can see them having a funny kind of friendship that constantly borders on “oh this is so not what friends usually do”, them as a romantic pairing is so not my cup of tea.

okay so i was kind of lazy... and i re-uploaded this from my other account, but eh, it's here now :] here are some bmc headcanons, hope you enjoy!

- the whole squad goes to college together and it's some kinda york shit bc they're all sharing a dorm. chaos ensues.

- rich and jake are boyfriends, and they're trying to be lowkey about it, and literally everyone knows. but it's arson bros so there's no way in hell that they can be subtle.

- christine was brought up by her dad who is literally the nicest person on this planet and he loves all of her friends but he like michael the best, because i mean who doesn't :D.

- brooke is a dog person and christine is a cat person, but they make it work because they're useless lesbians who are very much in love.

- whenever jeremy can't sleep (which is always) he goes downstairs and makes a cup of tea, which doesn't help his insomnia but he doesn't care because it's TEA.

- okay!! to establish ships:

- boyf riends because... how can you not ship em?

- rich is honestly pretty smart. he majors in latin and while he complains about it all the time, he's pretty much fluent, which he's honestly pretty proud about.

- rich is an assistant teacher for year 4s (3rd graders) and they call him 'sir'. whenever one of these kids makes a homophobic/transphobic comment (bc they're young kids yknow) he'll sit them down and teach them that it's okay to be lgbtq+.

- for like a year after the events of the play, jeremy tries to earn back michael's trust. eventually he forgives him, but jeremy has to do some serious courting shit to get michael back as his friend.

- jeremy catches feelings for michael first. no debate.

- jenna is a fashion youtuber/vlogger kinda like bestdressed. chloe joins her and they're literally best friends.

- chloe doesn't specifically have a redemption arc, but she does learn over time to treat people at least a little bit better.

and for now i would say that's about it! the headcanons no one asked for, but i gave anyway! likes and reblogs are always appreciated, too :)

i’ve never done ship headcanons before, so let’s see how it goes!!

okay so

much like our dear jeremy, brooke has had a crush on christine for a while now

but she’s much too insecure to put herself out there again

not after she got cheated on last time

chloe is the one who takes the lead and decides she and brooke are signing up for the school musical

she pretends she just really loves fiddler on the roof, but it’s pretty obvious that she’s doing it so brooke will have a chance to talk to her crush

christine gets cast as tzeitel and brooke ends up getting cast as yente

brooke’s a lil upset that she has to play the old matchmaker until christine gushes over how good she’ll be

christine’s so passionate about the show, it’s easy for brooke to get swept up in it, too

especially when christine’s inviting people to run lines and practice dances in her basement on the weekends

brooke gets to know christine’s home very well during the two month rehearsal time

for a while, it’s christine, brooke, chloe, and jenna all hanging at christine’s on the weekends

then one friday at the end of rehearsal, chloe just goes “oh sorry jenna and i were going shoe shopping :// oh well, you two have fun!!”

jenna’s just like “uhh no we weren’t?” internally, but chloe glares sharply before she can even speak

brooke is glaring at chloe for a whole other reason

and little christine is just bummed that she can’t practice ‘matchmaker’ without chloe (who’s playing hodel)

so brooke and christine go back to christine’s house

they say hello to her dad on their way into the basement

(they always practice in the basement bc they can push the furniture aside to do the dance routines)

after a while, christine calls an end

“there’s not much else we can do on our own”

tragically, they’re not in a whole lot of scenes together

panicking a little (she doesn’t want this day to end!!) brooke offers to help christine run her lines

“you are so sweet, brooke!!”

christine practically has heart eyes

they end up laying side by side on the floor

christine’s on her back and brooke in on her tummy, christine’s script laying open in front of her

christine nails all of her lines, of course

no one is surprised at that

and brooke is too busy looking at the script to notice how christine looks up at her, her gaze all soft and gooey

it’s in that moment that christine decides she’s going to kiss brooke during the bows of their final performance

everyone likes a grand gesture, after all

Be More Chill Tall Brooke Headcanons

-Brooke has always been tall since elementary school, towering over most her classmates.

-Because of this and puberty Brooke had a really awkward phase in middle school. Her lack of self confidence didn't help much either.

-When she befriended Chloe in seventh grade she was more than happy to face someone to house w behind. Figuratively, Chloe's much shorter than she is.

-Now 16 and 6'0 Brooke's height scares of a lot of guys. Yeah she's cute, but they don't want their girlfriend to be taller than them.

-Because of this fact Brooke never wears heels even though she likes them because she doesn't want to be taller.

-Most pants her size are way shorter than her legs and she doesn't want Chloe to see her wearing boy pants so she tends to wear shorts and skirts more.

-Brooke always hits her head on the edge of her mom's car when getting in on accident because she always overestimates the door height.

-It was awkward when she had to bend down to talk to Christine at practice but now that they're dating she literally just lifts Christine up for a kiss.

-She can be seen constantly giving her girlfriend piggy back rides everywhere, with Christine she's extra careful to make sure they don't got anything.

-With Christine's help Brooke becomes more proud of her height and they go to prom together, Brooke wearing heels.

-Also: Because of their huge height difference, when Brooke lends Christine her sweater it hangs of her but that doesn't stop her from taking it all the time.

i lied this is basically an entire fic but it’s written in headcanon format so uh just take it (also this all takes place post-squip)

ok so a few months after they start dating christine and jeremy both start to realize they are uh maybe not straight

and they basically come out to each other like “so i have something to tell you” “me too!” “ok you go first” “no that’s fine you go first” “well i’ve been questioning my sexuality..” “ME  T O O!!”

 and while they are both very relieved to tell each other that they realize after a few more days that they don’t really feel a romantic connection and break up

jer realizes that while he still loves christine he had a crush on the idol he made her out to be, not the actual person

chris remembers her trepidation to date jerm in the first place bc it didn’t feel quite right.... but it was what everyone expected her to do and she’d figured she’d give it a shot

so basically the breakup is v mutual even tho jeremy’s thinking he might be bi while christine’s unsure but thinks she might not like boys at all??? 

eventually christine convince’s jeremy they should go to the gsa at their school together

acting with her usual pizzazz but in truth v nervous bc what it they don’t accept her? she doesn’t even know who she is what if she’s not really queer? etc

so anyway they go together after school and IMMEDIATELY christine notices brooke

not that she could miss her since brooke’s sitting at the front of the room next to jake, her copresident of the gsa — but gosh if chris wouldn’t’ve noticed her anyway because wowowow that soft blonde pixie cut and kind smile are just. overwhelming. and for a minute christine stops worrying about her orientation and just thinks, “i’m so fucking gay”

and brooke’s not fairing much better because their high school gsa isn’t all that big so she has to see christine, and she’s trying not to look at christine, because if she does brooke knows she’ll notice the cute gap between christine’s teeth that shows when she laughs (at jeremy, usually), and how shiny her hair is, and that oh my god she’s actually wearing a barette how cute can you get. and fuck if brooke doesn’t know all too well how she falls into love all too fast, but still. still.

and finally the meeting begins and of course brooke pays no mind to the way christine fidgets with her friendship bracelets while whispering to jeremy. nor does christine take note of how beautiful brooke’s deep, calm voice is.........

the second the meeting let’s out christine yanks jeremy away “we need to talk RIGHT NOW”

jeremy: “what!??” 

christine: “wait so didn’t you used to date that girl?? the one with the blonde hair sitting next to jake????? i need info NOW also did you see how gorgeous she was because w o w”

they finally exchange numbers even but still “as friends” because christine’s mostly used to guys asking her out and going along with it since she doesn’t know what else to do. and brooke — well, with guys she could flirt well enough, but girls? she doesn’t even know where to begin

 sometimes just ordering sushi and rewatching star wars together is enough and that’s fun too

the be more chill families

these are all headcanons i sorta have,,, they’re all about family life of each be more chill character. if you don’t like headcanons, you don;t have to read on but!! i think they’re pretty cool. (also if you draw them i love you)

Jeremy Heere

- his mother was always busy with work, but she would tuck him in each night, and so he has not gotten tucked in since he was 8 years old.  - his mother moved away when she had his little sister, who is almost 8 years younger than him - he ends up visiting his sister just after he graduates high school, and immediately clicks with the little one. he’s extremely protective of her. - his sister is an extreme nerd, just like her brother, but she’s not nearly as insecure, living with an extremely supportive mother and stepdad. jeremy’s slightly envious, but more happy for her than anything.   - his dad does end up getting a pair of decent pants (as seen at the end of the musical) and becoming a good father.

Michael Mell

- michael lives with his grandmother, who is the definition of chill. she stays home and reads books all day and once caught michael smoking weed, only to think he was burning sage to ward off ghosts.  - michael’s parents are successful businessmen (and woman), who are never home, and don’t really care about what michael does. they call him once a month, but if they forget, they don’t try to make it up, and if michael tries to call them, it goes straight to voicemail. - michael is an only child, though he has a shit ton of cousins and aunts and uncles who come and go throughout the summer. - michael’s aunt who sometimes stops by the house to just make sure that michael and his grandma are doing okay, she always brings flowers, and she always brings her girlfriend. michael’s quite fond of the two.

Rich Goranski

- rich’s father is a heavy alcoholic and extremely abusive, both verbally and physically. rich learned how to spot the smell of alcohol from the time he was 6. - rich’s mother died when he was 4. car crash. a tragic accident, but all he can remember is one brief memory of when he scraped his knees and she bandaged them and kissed them to make them better. - rich’s brother. early 20s, he moved out of his father’s house as fast as he possibly could. the death of his mother hurt him severely. - often rich will stay at his brother’s house, but never for more than a few days, or his father will just get more upset. - richs brother is the one who visited to hospital, after having a panic attack that he would lose his brother. he spent his college savings on medical bills, and currently is working towards legally adopting his brother.

Jake Dillinger

- jake’s parents are criminals. one day they were there, the next they left a pile of laundered money on they kitchen counter, with a note to tell jake not to call them, and that he would be fine on his own. - jake was not fine on his own. - after the house was burned down, he was homeless, and had his legs broken. he used the remaining bit of money he had to cover the medical bills. - his cousin, who is about 25, heard about it, and moved to New Jersey, after a long debate with jake. she’s pretty kickass, sporting a leather jacket adorned with a pan pride pin.  - jake is very happy living with his cousin, who pretends she doesn’t know that jake has a hopeless crush on rich, who was dating michael mell - his cousin gives excellent advice, and she’s like the older sister jake never had. 

Christine Canigula

- christine is the oldest of four children, but she never quite got the spotlight at home, instead being put in charge of her baby brother, who is 11 years younger than her, and her baby sister, who is 7 years younger. - her other sister, who is 2 years younger than her, was born with a disability. she was deaf, and had developmental setbacks, which meant her parents focus was almost always on the comfort on their second child. christine was never bitter about it, she loved her sister as much everyone else in the family, she just felt... unnecessary. - her parents rarely make it to her plays, even though they try. only if they can find a babysitter who is good enough, though. - she has no time for dating. she is too busy between rehearsal, watching her siblings, homework, and daydreams to be too involved in actually dating someone. - theater is christine’s escape from it all. she loves fitting herself into different parts ,and she loves being able to be someone other than 

Brooke Lohst

- brooke has two moms, who are extremely supportive of everything she does. they love her with all their hearts. - brooke has a little sister, who is awfully adorable, and just was loved as she is.  - brooke’s moms are very much in love with each other, and overall they’re a pretty happy family. - when high school started, brooke lost a lot of her closeness with her moms, opting to hang out with friends or lock herself away in her bedroom. - she regrets not talking to them every day, though she never thinks about coming clean about everything she’s said or done.  - her moms trust brooke immensely, and so they never quite thought about her skipping classes or going to a party or getting drunk, because brooke never gave them a reason not to believe her.  

Chloe Valentine

- chloe grew up in an extremely religious family, with her strict mother and father always behind her, watching over everything she did.  - she was taught to slut shame, to bully anyone who was remotely different.  - she attempted to start over that image in high school, but some of her behaviors still bleed through. she makes an effort to try, though. - she has declared herself an agnostic, though quietly. she skips church whenever possible, - her parents love her, despite everything. they just hate her views, and she hates theirs. 

Jenna Rolan

- has jumped from foster home to foster home after her mother was arrested, and her father died. - she picked up gossiping when she was about 8, and got her first taste of the internet at about 11. she fell in love with a hugeness of it, how anyone could become anything. - she is currently in a foster home, but she still struggles with her self image and her anxiety, no matter how much time she reassures herself that everything will be okay. - she doesn’t really know much about her family, other than that her dad is dead and that her mother was arrested. she was put in foster care at age 7.

I honestly couldn’t sleep on these, so here are some Playride headcanons

Put under read more to avoid long post

The first time Brooke started having feelings for Christine was during Jake’s Halloween party

I imagine her going to hide in the laundry room after she saw Jeremy with Chloe and Christine wandering in while she’s crying

Being the compassionate person she is, Christine sits down next to Brooke and asks if she’s okay

The two the proceed to have a really meaningful heart-to-heart that ends with a hug, and damn if it wasn’t one of the warmest hugs Brooke ever had in her life

Christine also noticed just how soft Brooke’s hair is and how it smelt like lavender, but shhh, that’s a surprise tool that’ll help us later

Fast forward to their senior year

Brooke signs up for drama after Christine insistence/praise of her performance at last years rehearsals (she doesn’t bring up the play...for obvious reasons) and uh-oh spaghetti-o’s, she let’s it slip Jeremy and her had a mutual break up 

Christine obviously meant this a clear indication she wanted Brooke to ask her out but. The poor girl just doesn’t catch on

Not that Brooke doesn’t understand that it’s flirting, but because her self-esteem has been so smashed due to the squip (and Chloe tbh), she just can’t imagine someone as kind as Christine being interested in a relationship with her

The whole thing comes to a head when Christine accidentally (winkwink) kisses Brooke while they’re practicing lines and Brooke is just the embodiment of the heart-eyes emoji for the rest of the day

i'm lara, i'm from the uk. i frickin love making headcanons for all my favourite fandoms :D here's a list for the main fandoms/characters that i like to create hcs for:

tbh the only reason people ship pinkberry is because they can't FATHOM the idea of jenna, a fat girl, or christine, a chubby asian girl (with adhd!) being in relationships

EXACTLY. jenna and christine are the two characters everyone headcanons as asexual and y'all know i love and support aces with all of my heart, but the reason they do that is because they can't imagine either of them in a relationship cause they can't picture anyone being attracted to a fat girl or a chubby asian neurodivergent girl. pinkberry may be an unhealthy relationship, but everyone ships it because they're the two pretty white girls even though they pretty much hate each other.
