I was walking around the mall with some of my friends and this random guy walks up to me(super cute but probably a good 5+ years older than me) he gave me a couple compliments and asked me a couple questions. He asked me if he was bothering me and wanted him to leave. I said sorry but yes. And he apologized and walked away??? I don’t think guys understand how comforting that is !!! All guys should learn this!!!

Hey guys! I've been thinking about this a lot: Is it important, or maybe even be part of civic duty, to be aware of what is going on in social and politic spheres around the world? No matter where you live, as long as you have internet access and can read, in my mind there's no excuse to not be up to date on world events.
In democratic societies, we take our governments and politically aware higher ups for granted, thinking that they understand and they'll take care of the situation in accordance to OUR beliefs and benefits. However, if one is not aware of what's going on in the world, how can they voice an opinion if they dont know the cause, and potential effects, in the first place?
In this day and age, a majority of us have no reason to be caught unawares by global events and truths. We should be listening, learning, and be active in our communities so as to prevent future discourse, and possible suffering, because of our own ignorance.

Self Quote #2
If I am right then you are wrong and my delight should not be your shames expense. Let me show Grace as it has been shown to me.
Most mistakes are made in ignorance. I want growth, not regret. Understand me, don’t apologize to me.  You didn’t know better, but now you do.
Mistakes made twice are often ignorance of our own ignorance. I need patience.

I got some shit to say. It's been boiling in my head these days. I SEE RIGHT THROUGH THESE BOYS. Which boys? Lemme explain. Last month I received a DM from some guy who is actually from my hometown and he told me I was beautiful. Cool. I cordially responded 🙏 to express gratitude for a compliment. I was happy leaving that at that. But I guess that wasn't what he wanted. Because a month later (earlier this week) he decides to say OUT OF NOWHERE "Also, your ass is like super round. You're one of a kind in my books" Hold up hold up hold the f**k up. This is an insult rather than a compliment. AS IF my body is on DISPLAY for you. For these men that I see right through. @ggarza said it best: "They think they're our audience and they're invited to comment on our bodies and we're territories to be conquered. It's VIOLENT." It's entitlement. It's the assumption that they're an audience to my body and allowed to comment at any time they feel. Furthermore, he told me I was beautiful. Sure cool with that because that could mean beautiful in spirit, in brains, in values, etc. But the ass comment just insinuated that that's all you see. And now all I see...is right through you. Not flattering. Questionable intentions. The worst thing is--this is not a one time occurrence. I'm not flustered over one incident. It's a build up of daily occurrences of male dominant behavior. Just like the boys who text you out of nowhere after you post a photo of yourself where you may be perceived as attractive. Or the boys who think catcalling is ok. I could go on but IG won't hold all the space for the list I could write. #PleaseLearn
