So you ship Reylo, how do you feel about Stormpilot and/or Finnrose or a Poefinnrose ot3?

I have no problems with any of those, I haven’t really put thought into actively shipping them but I don’t have anything against any of those. I think they’re all sweet

So I updated my bio to reflect a dumb thing. And I guess if I’m being honest I’m only really on tumblr for fandom garbage anyway. But I would like to define my SW related multiship ~thoughts~ in at least one post.  I honestly, truly, deeply, do not hold ‘canon’ as a sacred aspect of anything. Art is half interpretation. And while I do earnestly enjoy and respect what a creator decides to do with their art, I refuse to let that mean that I am not allowed to touch it with my mind, heart, or own artwork.

Less seriously, that means that if I want to simultaneously enthusiastically enjoy stormpilot, darkpilot, gingerpilot, poefinnrose, but not really be into damerey, that is so totally my prerogative and does not take away from ANYONE ELSES enjoyment. 

NOR SHOULD it make a difference if the creator isn’t super into the idea of a ship that you actually kind of think is perfect (see: Rowling’s Ron/Hermione vs. Harry/Hermione retrospective thoughts... and I mean, almost to prove my point I was soooo sooo on the Dramione train back in the day ((holy shit has it been over a decade, jesus christ)) and yet I will have a soft spot for Ron/Hermione regardless...)

Kylo:

♦ He finds braiding calming. It can be something easyand mindless to keep his hands busy, or more complicated to keep his focus. Only sometimes will he braid his hair, but that brings forth unpleasant memories so he usually doesn’t. He substitutes by using any fibers or string because it’s all he has, working them into different patterns of alternating color. After that, though— one day he works up the courage to ask Rey if he could braid her hair, and then, eventually, both of their daughters’.

ൠ While Rey dreams of an ocean, Kylo dreams of thedesert. He doesn’t know why or where— not yet— but it is always dark and thesands are always flat and unending, and he is always walking endlessly to somedestination he can neither see nor reach. On the edges of his vision, in thedarkness, colossus shadows lumber and quake, their gaping maws threatening toswallow him whole. They are the most peaceful dreams he has.

Rey:

♦Rey will never, ever throwaway food. The taste doesn’t matter— seeing food go to waste will make her sickthinking of how many once-starved days she could have made it last. To mostothers this is a quirk, but her friends know the truth.

ൠRey always had a fascination with the stars. She’dmake up names for each and every one— planets, too. She’d imagine the people inthose systems, what kind of lives they lived. Lying on top of the AT-AT, she’ddraw her own constellations with her finger, seeing the vivid patterns as ifthey were real. Now she traces these lines across Ben’s back while he sleeps,and feels like she has the whole galaxy in her hands.

Poe:

♦ He is the BESTstoryteller, and he can always be seen regaling Rey with tales of his ownexploits or those of others (because Rey can never resist a good story and most often she’s the only one who’llpay attention to his maybe-slightly-exaggerated and lengthy accounts. She can almost always see right through his bullshit, though.)

ൠ A part of Poe wonders if Kylo Ren doesn’t remember him, or if he tries not to. A smaller part of him evenwished they’d kept in contact, after Ben was sent to Luke and before everythinghappened. Maybe then he could try to help bring Ben back to the Light, if onlyto make Leia happy.

Finn:

♦ After he (finally) dedicates himself to theResistance, he regularly organizes games of sabacc and dejarik (nevermind thathe doesn’t know how to play them yet)and frequently starts up bets on anything and nothing important, ropingeveryone into the pool. Camaraderie and knowing his fellow Rebels becomes very important to Finn.

ൠ He never wears whiteever, ever again. When asked, he can only shrug and say, “Too clean.”

Rose:

♦ She still talks to Paige, about anything andeverything. Sometimes she doesn’t even cry. Usually she’ll direct her wordstowards her medallion or towards the stars, but one day she finds a handmadedoll on her bunk with old sun-bleached scraps of a Resistance uniform forclothes (because once upon a time, it was all Rey had to talk to, too.)

ൠ Rose is the one toalways organize their outings, whether it’s a two-day shore leave in the Core,an impromptu picnic on the rare afternoon that they’re all free andplanet-side, or an extended trip through the Mid Rim so she could show Finn andRey a few of her favorite places.
