A person going by the name Tash (lpevhybrid) just emailed me some new pictures from a visit they had at the Pokémon Center NY store in June 2003! Really amazing stuff! I’m totally in love with the photos of the plush “Giants” and the animatronics!

So somewhat serious question because I'm curious. If anyone knows the value of things and whatever, what would this all roughly be worth all together?
MIND YOU I PROBABLY WOULD NEVER SELL ANY OF THIS BUT I ALSO NEVER LOOKED AT THE VALUE OF MY COLLECTION EITHER SINCE I GREW UP WITH EVERYTHING AND ALL OF IT WAS EITHER A GIFT AS A KIDDO OR I BOUGHT MYSELF XD
I only got curious because a friend at work asked me about Gale of Darkness and saying in passing its worth a lot now, and then I realized I'm probably sitting on a hoard after all these years XD (this is excluding my entire game collections and stuff in general, that's a topic for another day!)
I know for a fact everything works great since I switch up what I play every few months for fun and nostalgia, and to double check myself that it works still, Pinball doesn't have a battery in it because I fear a corroded battery leakage, Hey you Pikachu still has his microphone addition and the Stadiums also have their transfer pack for the N64 controller too!
Any info is good info! Meanwhile everyone goes back into their home for now all safely tucked away XD
****FORGOT
These guys have their game cases still, technically so does Black 2, however my friend I bought it from still has the case at home but am getting it eventually, its just out of the way until Christmas where she can dig it out XD

Yesterday I bought some cheap pokemon figure from something like gacha machine? Aand I got pink Tyranitar, these figures are very small and looks cheap(and they are) but they come in pokeballs and inside is figure and stickers!! I got very excited and bought like 14 more of these..haha..ha🤧 I really like the stickers I already used them in my sketchbook hehe. I can't believe I got like only one duplicate AND I got some pokemon that I really wanted😭😭
Now I want even more of these but I don't have money anymore haha....

Pokémon Center NY Plushie “Giants”
In November 2001, the Pokémon Center NY opened with a wide variety of products from bandanas to plushies. One collection of plushies that has become exceedingly sought-after in the 20+ years since, is what collectors sometimes refer to as the plush “Giants”. This term can apply to any of the large, 1:1 size, fuzzy TOMY plushies, including Lugia, Celebi, Suicune, Raikou, Entei, Tyranitar, Lapras, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Chikorita, Togepi, Marill, Pichu, Pikachu, and Meowth.
• The ones that are the most sought after are Suicune, Raikou, Entei, Tyranitar, Lapras, and Lugia
• Lugia had a small Pikachu plush riding on its back, in reference to the second Pokémon film. These days, it’s very difficult to find a Lugia “Giant” with that Pikachu plush still attached.
• The Pokémon Center NY version of the Tyranitar “Giant” has a funny manufacturing error— it’s eyes are sewn in upside down!
• Today, some of these plushies can go for thousands of US dollars online.
• My friend, @mewisme700 from Tiktok, once found a post online from someone who found a Raikou “Giant” in the trash. Unfortunately, this user didn’t realize what they had found and left it in the trash… This still haunts both of us to this day.

I love working with paper cutouts in my toy photos, and in this series I wanted to push that comics style a little further and play around with panel transitions. All the photo elements are analog, not digital - the elemental components, background, and speech boxes are printed on card stock and the ground pieces were hand drawn on construction paper. All of that was cutout and suspended on wire. In editing, I removed the wire and then positioned the photos into comics panels using a collage app.
These are some of the most fun shots I’ve taken - I’d liked to do more with other Pokémon in the future!
