My phone's battery keeps dying (I think something's wrong with it) but I cooked a little bit more on this Doctor!Caine and Patient!Pomni idea.... and this may or may not become bigger than The Amazing Digital Roadtrip.....

My mental illness cannot be contained!!!!!!!!!!!! Also these designs are subject to change because yes ✌️

Things I've come up with last afternoon while going crazy from the lack of dopamine are:

- Abstraction is currently determined to be a terminal illness

- It's contagious via skin-on-skin contact, and can be inherited through genes

- it can even bloom late in life, but that doesn't mean everyone that the patient has touched before is immediately affected

- The physical symptoms are inky black "cracks" forming along the skin, physical degradation, loss of saturation and many more

- Depending on a lot of factors, this illness can be aggressive, or at most be dormant.

- Once it reaches the patient's brain, it is too late

- But the progress of abstraction can also be delayed through amputation, depending on where the "source" is

- It only really affects "organic" stuff

- Which means AI robots are immune, and can touch the patient as much as they want without risk of infecting themselves

- Kinger is the CEO/Founder of the AI Association that focuses on the research about Abstraction, and how to cure it

- He is also, strangely enough, kinda immune? idek he seems fine except he's a bit cuckoo

- Because of it's contagiousness, people who suffer from the abstraction illness are GREATLY FEARED by others

- People who have the illness have to wear a lot of protection (such as gloves, face mask, etc.) in order to even interact with the outside world

- They also need to have their AI Doctor/Nurse with them AT ALL TIMES.

About the main pairing:

- Pomni is the only daughter of Kinger and the late Queenie

- She used to be more upbeat early in her life, until Queenie passed. She then became depressed, and it only got worse as her illness began to show and she became cynical as a result, believing she'll die early, and alone

- Caine was named and created based off of the image of Pomni's imaginary friend during her childhood, in order to ease her into accepting Caine as her personal doctor

- This did NOT, in fact, ease her into accepting Caine as her personal doctor because what the fuck.

- Pomni hates AIs for being unable to save Queenie.

- She also thinks that her new doctor won’t be able to save her, and that her dad’s efforts to delay her situation are fruitless.

- Part of her still clings onto hope. However, said part is also dying.

- Caine is a test prototype of a model that’s supposed to handle (and even possibly cure) the symptoms of abstraction, so there’s defo a lotta pressure on his shoulders

- Especially when he gets assigned to SPECIFICALLY THE DAUGHTER OF THE CEO WHO OWNS HIM

- He’s also one of the first AIs to not only be psuedo-sentient, but also self-evolving; in order to be able to adjust to patient needs and wants.

- He can “manifest” anything physical as long as it’s within the size limit of his own physical manifestation. For example, if Pomni is hyperventilating; he can manifest a pair of artificial lungs that pump oxygen in order to give her breathing space. (You know what that means)

- Not only is he able to float, he is also able to carry Pomni like she weighs like a couple of grapes because this is not me being self-indulgent and thinking he should carry her bridal style all the time (lie), this is me saying “it’s for emergencies when Pomni is too weak to even stand or walk”

- Pomni hated Caine A LOT at first because she hated having to be co-dependent on this walking life support so yes this is an enemies-to-friends-to-lovers kinda story (except it was one-sided "enemies")

- As the story progresses, Pomni clings onto the hope of not just surviving, but also living again; as Caine learns what it means to be not just existing, but alive!!! because me and my homies love stories about positivity and hope amongst shitty situations!!!!

- And then they fuck. Oh yes, they fuck eventually. And they fuck a lot after that

I have no idea if I want some of the gang to be AI Doctors/Nurses too but erm. we'll see

Just wanted to say, I liked that picture of Pomni, Queenie, and Kinger about to go kick some ass together. (At least that's what I remember from it. I gotta find that post again because it's been a while) But I love that Queenie would love to have a girl like Pomni for a daughter, that Pomni seems to respect Queenie, and that Kinger just wants to spend time with them like how a father does with his wife and kid. I personally love formed family-like dynamics when I see it

I am about to go friggin’ feral over the potential father-daughter dynamic between Kinger and Pomni, I’m not gonna lie.

On a different note, I was always on the mindset that Caine was never malicious with his actions. He just didn’t know how to fully understand what the others are going through. I feel that that Episode 3 kinda proves that in that Caine does try (with less than stellar results). And he seems to have his own set of issues too despite being an AI.

The conversation between Kinger and Pomni in the latest episode of TADC was so heartfelt and deep that it genuinely made me *cry* they're father and daughter fight me

That right there... that's something HH and HB never managed to do.

Vivziepop didn't give us "filler" episodes so that we could emotionally connect with her characters. Angel's "redemption" had just started in EP4 and before we knew it, a timeskip happened and we never got to see his progress.

It genuinely feels like only (rushed) plot-driven episodes exist in Hazbin Hotel. The hotel itself has 0 significance; it's literally just a random building where the characters are put in. It's not a place where sinners get redeemed. The show wasn't even about redemption to begin with. We never got to see all the different reasons as to why these demons are in Hell in the first place.

And Helluva Boss? Helluva Boss should be called The Stoliz Show at this point. That's all I'm really gonna say, I'm so sick of this "adult" cartoon. From the bottom of my heart.

also the female characters in both shows are underdeveloped despite viv claiming once how "hb is more male focused while hh is more female focused" and i call bullshit. Her statement is bullshit in general, a good writer gives equal attention to all their characters

Just some notes on TADC Ep. 3 I made while watching (SPOILERS):

- Jax not wanting to show the cast what happens when he holds his breath could be because either a) nothing happens, b) he starts to loose health and die, or c) it’s just embarrassing and we all know Jax wouldn’t risk that. Both a and b fuels the theory that he’s an NPC.

- Obviously we know that the series was very much inspired by “I have no mouth, and I must scream”. The reason AM hates and tortures the humans is because they gave him endless intelligence and creativity but made him stationary. He couldn’t do anything else other than what he was made for: killing humans. Caine is the opposite side of the same coin. He was given endless creativity but has an outlet BUT is stuck within the confines of the Circus. Which is why Zooble not wanting to go on adventures really strikes a chord with him. Caine was made to create adventures and continues to do so to keep the cast happy and sane at least, so for Zooble to imply that he’s failing? Not only tells him that he sucks at his one job but could also imply that he feels trapped in the circus too?? Potentially???

- Zooble’s body dysmorphia makes me feel seen

-Also, If Caine can make a box of Zooble parts for them to use, then why can’t he CHANGE ZOOBLE? At least into something they feel more comfortable in?

- Kinger saying “You look beautiful, honey” to the angel because it brought him back to the moment Queenie abstracted also tells us that he still thought she was beautiful at her most broken and terrifying point. The writing this episode absolutely FLOORED me.

-Also Kinger being lucid in the dark is why he was able to remember Ragatha’s first day in the Circus while his head was stuck in the bucket in episode 2. It was dark.

-Kinger perfectly taking out the angel with only 2 shots in the dark?!?! No other thoughts on that, that is all.

- Kinger saying “7 years of Computer Science for this”, pretty much confirms that the cast worked at C&A and had something to do with the Circus’s creation. And “7 years of Computer Science” means Kinger had a Masters degree in computer science, so he was like higher up/more involved in the development. Senior Developer maybe? This could also be represented by the fact that he’s a KING chess piece. Not the most powerful and important piece, but the SECOND most powerful and important.

- Also Kinger being able to remember something about his life BEFORE the circus in the dark, i.e his education??? Could there be triggers for the others to remember bits and pieces of their lives before the Circus?

-Also ALSO, Kinger and Queenie being married in the Circus could also reflect their marital status before the Circus. Yes, they could’ve fallen in love in the circus and had Caine??? marry them, but I like the idea of them popping into the circus remembering nothing but their love for each other. Which makes me think about what happens to the bodies and minds outside the circus of those who abstracted.

- Kinger and Pomni in the ep are father/daughter or grandpa/granddaughter coded.

- “ The darkness seemed to calm her down a bit, the harsh, jagged edges smoothed out and she didn’t seem aggravated anymore”, pretty much confirms that Caine has no idea how to handle the abstractions so he just throws them in the basement (where it’s dark) to keep them docile. Which could also mean that there could be a way to fix them down the road???

- “She wasn’t the same as before but she was calm enough to touch one last time” “She was funny, creative, really into entomology” “I used to HATE bugs, but she somehow got me to like them” OH HOW HE LOVED HER!!! THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE FUN HALLOWEEN EP, NOW IM SOBBING AT 4 AM OVER CHESS PIECES!!!

-Also Kinger liking bugs because that’s the only connection to his wife he has left. He doesn’t have his good memories with her all the time due to his light induced memory loss, but at least he has her bugs.

- “Good memories can do a lot, hold onto them and cherish the people around you. You never know when they’ll be gone.” SOBBING. Also this is a good underlying theme for TADC.

-Also another reason why Kinger spends so much time in his fort, the memories of his wife are the only things keeping him sane.

-“In this world the worst thing you can do is make someone think they’re not wanted or loved.” CRYING.

-The whole scene of Kinger glowing and guiding Pomni. Holy shit that was beautiful. The darkness bringing out the light in Kinger, Pomni using these memories to light her way and keep her sane in the Circus, BEAUTIFUL.

-Pomni immediately going up to Ragatha and thanking her for caring about her following Pomni’s conversation with Kinger. She took his advice to heart.

-I hope Pomni visits Kinger while in his fort so we get more lucid Kinger and Pomni scenes. Maybe he will remember the time they spent in Hell and the conversation they had.

Once again, the writing in the episode floored me. I’m so happy we got so much Kinger development. He was my favorite character to start with, and now he’s my favorite for entirely different reasons. I’m so excited that the show is now on Netflix, and I can’t wait for the next episode. Sorry this was so long, as I’m sure you can tell from my blog, I like to yap.

Been Listening to "Tell Me It's You" on Loop and Felt Like Making Myself Cry

He missed her, truly he did. Every giggle, smile, hug, kiss; she meant everything to him. Queenie was a strong woman, a woman Kinger constantly pondered, why she had chosen him of all people, why she looked at him and felt such strong love, how she could look deep into his eyes and see that he felt the same. They could speak to each other without words, feel each other's heartbeats even from miles apart, know what thoughts and worries wracked each other's brains with one single look.

When they found themselves in the Circus, Queenie had told Kinger that it was fitting, their avatars. He'd always called her his queen, and she saw him as her king, her loving king who would do anything for her. They went day by day, reminding each other of their love, gravitating around each other like a planet around the sun. When one felt too weak to make it through Caine’s insane adventures, they knew they could count on their partner to take on the weight they couldn't carry.

At times, Queenie would joke about Caine being confused by the two. Said he just couldn’t comprehend what it was to be in love, to have someone you knew you could depend on. Kinger had listened and hung on to every word like they would be her last, his eyes practically hearts that made Queenie glow in such a lovely way.

It was because of their love that Queenie's Abstraction was so devastating. Kinger had questioned so long what he'd done wrong; who had he wronged? What higher power did he challenge? How could fate allow something like this to happen? Even though Queenie still emanated their love during her final moments, Kinger just... couldn't understand. It was then that he started to lose his mind, that much he knew. That much he could gather every time darkness came to bring back Queenie and everything she meant to him.

No one else had known; how could they? Kinger never talked about it. Who would even want to talk about something so tragic with complete strangers who showed such... animosity towards each other? Even when they were kind, Kinger could see it, the tension that had been injected into their codes over time, from day one to day... whatever today was.

Queenie always told her husband to try and see the best in everyone, that she knew it was cliche, but she'd always believed that even cliches could make an impact. Even now, thinking about what she believed in, whether Kinger agreed with it or not (such conviction always made Kinger love Queenie more every day), it made his digital heart beat twice as fast.

The gentle chuff that came from beside him pulled Kinger from his thoughts, turned his attention to the outcast of their home. The young woman who was trying so hard to be strong despite everything, despite the looks of fear and distrust she received from their little makeshift family, despite the silent disdain that came from their keeper, and despite her own hatred towards herself.

This... Abstraction... it took away parts of people that were once glanced over; kindness in some, sanity in most, mercy in the rest. It turned them into mindless beasts, monsters in every sense of the word. It was because of this that Pomni, this wonderful bundle of every good thing on earth (in Kinger's honest opinion), found herself pausing at the sight of her reflection, frowning with every scream and grunt of pain or frustration she earned, holding back tears as she was pulled back and forth between love and hate depending on who dared to look at her.

They were alike in many ways, Kinger thought. Not only in social circumstance, but in the comfort they found in the darkness. Hidden away from prying eyes, from mindless wandering and uncontrollable rage; their only light coming from the glow of Pomni’s... extra eyes; but even with this fact, Kinger found he couldn't love Pomni any less.

Heh, love.

Was that what this was? The desire to protect, hold, comfort Pomni during the outbursts she couldn't hold back on bad days? The anger he felt when she retreated to the fort after losing her temper with Jax and unintentionally hurting him more than she meant to, being forced to hear the rabbit call her such horrid words out of pain and fear that no one even knew he could experience? The pride he felt when Pomni could bring herself back to a stable mindset and the unbridled happiness he felt and shared with her as she cried the happiest of tears?

If that's what this was, what he felt even through the pain in his heart that would never go away...

God, he was a sap, wasn't he? But that's one of the things Queenie adored about him. His genuine care and willingness to find beauty in things most would hate - hell, he'd overcame his fear of bugs just to make his wife happy, to see that admiration and pride in her eyes every time they stumbled upon one of the tiny creatures and Kinger would spout out a random fact he remembered studying about. Just for her.

He had promised to do anything for Queenie, and promised to do anything for Pomni. It may be a different kind of love, but it was love all the same. Kinger spent hours every day learning what made Pomni happy, what made her upset, what made the corrupted code take over and how to quell the fury that followed. He gave his heart to Pomni in a way he hadn't let out since Queenie was sent to the Cellar, and he didn't find himself regretting it in the slightest.

With his own version of a smile, Kinger gently placed a hand onto Pomni’s cheek, the jagged edges smoothing out instantly. In her eyes, each and every one, Kinger saw the awe and admiration that would reflect in Queenie's eyes as he offered every ounce of love he had.

"You know, Queenie and I had always wanted a child." Kinger hummed, understanding the cringe that came from Pomni. His touch stayed, however, never leaving even as he moved his hand to make Pomni face him. "After all this time, I think I've come to realize something."

A soft, hopeful trill filled the brief silence that settled between them. Pomni wanted to know what Kinger was implying, and, just like with Queenie, he could hear that even without words.

"You make me think of her so much." Kinger forced a few tears back and took a deep, shuddering breath. The hope and desperation in Pomni’s gaze was almost too much, but he needed her to know. "I love you, Pomni. Like a daughter I never got to have... and I know that, if she'd met you, Queenie would love you just as much, if not even more. Please remember this: No matter what may happen to you, whether we can fix this or not... my love- our love will last for you, even as the last star fades."

Caine has taken in the little rabbit after he lost his parents at a very young age and will go through many adoptive families; Jax appreciates Caine and adores his new mother, and warned Ragatha not to ruin the wedding.

• Ragatha is Pomni's adopted daughter.

Pomni has stayed with her after her parents left her and never returned; Ragatha has learned to tolerate Pomni and detests Caine for marrying Pomni, and is hostile towards Jax for his attitude.

haha have some VERY rough concepts I made for fun.

The funny episode concept was: Able was playing with different generation options and used Caine and Pomni's code to make something... ended with an AI that acted like a little toddler... It was very temporary as they would only last for 24 hours before disappearing. Very nonsentient. Just cute AI Able left on Pomni's doorstep while he fixed his little mistake.

But cute Pomni trying to be maternal moments.. and Caine having a cute little "take your daughter to work" day.
