Strange Beginning AU(LMK)
Context: set in the Song Dynasty in China, humanity has never seen demons because they were in hiding to blend into the crowds of humans. However that changes when a certain demon monkey meets the monkey king and his warrior.
MK grew up in a small demon village, living with his adopted father Pigsy and his friend Sandy who supported him during his life. However MK was the only demon monkey in that demon village, that’s when he realized he must have been from The Monkey Kingdom in flower fruit mountain which he wasn’t fully aware of till he discovered the stories from Sandy and Pigsy. MK being quite adventurous attempted to travel all the way to The Monkey Kingdom.
During his travel, he’s met small human villages but knew a couple things of being hidden as he hid his tail and ears from them. It worked successfully and he managed to leave the villages and continue his journey- only to find the wrong location..The Bull Demon Fortress.
MK snuck inside only to meet Mei and Red Son. Who had caused the three to become startled by one another, the two royals were close friends- specifically only friends from being restricted by the outside world. Which makes them astonished to see a demon monkey in person, the two immediately started asking questions and giving MK a tour besides turning him in to their parents. After awhile, they let MK secretly stay for the night and find out MK was searching for The Monkey Kingdom. So the three had agreed to help each other.
The trip wasn’t long as MKs old trips before he met the two royals, and it was a relief for the young simian. As they inch closer to The Monkey Kingdom, they were ambushed by a group of simians who were in the lookout, startling everyone and preparing to fight. However during the fight it was cut off as Macaque had cornered the three down. MK was astonished by seeing many demon monkeys, specifically to Macaque by seeing his ears while Mei and Red Son were too busy trying to escape them.
Macaque had brought them in and informed the king about the three intruders, instead of them being taken to be punished. The king was quite immature than Macaque, laughing and joking towards the children- he was actually excited to see them and introduced himself as Sun Wukong.
Sun Wukong and Macaque had discussed with the three young demons, MKs main purpose was to find where had came from and lead him to travel here. It left the two simians confused as they had never been informed of a missing simian child from their kingdom. Leaving everyone concerned and confused, MK wasn’t originated from this kingdom and it left everyone wanting more answers. During the time, Wukong had decided to give the three children a tour around the kingdom since they never had guests at all. Macaque kept guard of him and Wukong kept teasing about it, MK had noticed their dynamic was strange but he didn’t know what it was.
MK has stayed in the kingdom for quite some time, having permission for Pigsy and Sandy to visit at any time. It was later announced that MK would be trained by Macaque to fight much better, seeing that he was a poor fighter in general. But as the two train more and more, MK learns a lot of things about the royal guard. Revealing that macaque isn’t a regular demon monkey but instead a celestial like wukong. Along with a possession of a strange ability that manipulates shadows. The two had kept it secret till it was the right time to tell the others.
Besides the demons point of view. humans were inching closer into finding out about their kind and beginning a uprising of killing all of them. A couple of demon monkeys were found and tortured as well as being held in captivity. Causing the monkey kingdom to grow worry as they noticed a couple of their friends and families going missing.
During that time, macaque and MK went out of the kingdom to start their routine, but while they head to their spot they found a human village near the kingdom. But what had caught MKs eyes were cages of bloody corpses of familar simians, MK informed macaque immediately and without macaques permission, he had went out to try and help a few escape. It was successful but unfortunately the two were caught and had begun running back to the kingdom, sadly the humans were inching closer to them and Macaque had decided to hold them back to let MK and the other simians to escape easier. Only for the dark furred simian to be struck in the eye by an arrow as he was too distracted fighting with many humans.
MK made it back to the kingdom and informed Sun wukong, seeing the king become pale and shock had startled MK of seeing his cheerful expression disappear.
Sun Wukong went out to save his companion, Macaque, only to see his beloved friend injured and bleeding out on the floor. However he wasn’t dead due to his immortality but he felt regular pain regardless. It had angered the monkey king and left him into a frenzy.
(THATS ALL I HAVE FOR NOW BUT HERES SOME INFORMATION OF THE LOCATIONS)
The Monkey Kingdom
Set in flower fruit mountain, this kingdom is filled with many primates from Large to Small. The main temple/castle is hidden behind the curtains of a waterfall and their emperor is none other than The Monkey king AKA Sun Wukong.
The kingdom is quite far and hidden, but they are known to be a good asset of strength and agility. However, they’ve never interacted with other kingdoms in the last century.
Besides their emperor, they have a second command and also the royal guard who protects Him, The Six Eared macaque.
They celebrate a lot and have many festivals with foods and drinks, known for their tropical fruits.
Sun Wukong wasn’t the original founder of the mountain but instead was the third (and permanent from being immortal)
The Bull Demon Fortress
It’s the second strongest kingdom in China, known for their manipulation of power and flames
The kingdom associates with the dragon kingdom making them close allies (which is why Mei and red son are friends)
Despite their brute force, they have exotic foods as well but mostly meat and spices which they sell and gain more wealth.
The Demon Bull King hates the monkey kingdom because the last time he visit wasn’t a warm welcome (so the relationship of these two kingdoms isn’t good but they keep their distance towards each other)

Two little cubs in the post apocalyptic world, a little AU idea created along with @lopsushi :3 where Yan Hao and Li Ling got separated from their parents! :’D (I just love them sm 😭💕)
A bit of a story background:
Lady Bone Demon succeeded in her invasion and possessed more people of Megapolis, cutting off heavenly realm etc. and her powers mixed with venom of spider queen (rip big momma spider 😔) that somehow remained in people's DNA mutated causing a virus to spread.
Macaque managed to get free from LBD possession and joined the gang but Wukong and MK's powers as well as others' powers got weakened by their fight and can't restore it fully due to the unarmed particles of virus that managed to get into their DNA, so basically they carry the virus but doesn’t get sick like other peeps in Megapolis.
And now they live in a dystopian world, trying to find a way to defeat LBD and come up with a vaccine or antidote to save whoever they can before the mutations spread and evolve.
At some point they get separated since LBD’s powers helped her create a dome above the city making it into a labyrinth separating each group into pocket merge and morph constantly (a bit like the school in Corpse Party)
Mk, Mei and Red Son- group 1.
Tang, Pigsy and Sandy- group 2.
Wukong and Macaque- group 3.
Yan Hao and Li Ling- group 4.
There will be more of this au along with lost signal au and a few other things I’ve got in store for y’all >:3
See ya!

For the Dancing and Dreaming from HTTYD2 is Shadowpeach coded you can't change my mind. I can legitimately see Wukong and Macaque singing this to each other when Wukong proposed to become mates pre-Journey and then later on Macaque singing it to Wukong in his attempts to woo his mate once more after they split up in the JTTW Stone Egg au. Bonus points if Wukong managed to forget hus stage fright/the fact the other Pilgrims were there and duet with him
100% their song.
Theres these really good animatics that have; Wukong proposing to Mac using the song (with bro DBK supporting in the bg), and a Freenoodles version where Pigsy was released from the scroll's effects before Tang.
I firmly believe Mac would sing this song to Wukong, either when they reunite mid-Journey, or afterwards, or when Wukong was possessed by LBD, as a show that he never truly forgot his love for his King. Or in the TMKATI au its Wukong singing to Mac after their Big Fight to show that he didn't forget their original vows to one another.

Wouldn’t call this one of my most exciting edits for the Noodle Shop Ghost AU, but it’s what I was able to finish recently so it’s what y’all are getting since I’m impatient to share more details and have to divulge them NOW
More LMK Morro info under the cut
• Red Son’s nicknames for Morro include “Accursed witch” and “dead meat” (the witch one is due to Morro having spooky vibes and carrying around a broom)
-Deadass? The first time Red called Morro a witch, Morro did a full 180° and said “did you just call me a bitch?” (Credit to @breathlessmorro for this idea!)
•Morro’s still got some anger issues they’re working out
•Princess Iron Fan shows up with her wind and he’s like “bro I am unimpressed I could do that when I was like, ten”
-The teleporting à la wind gets his attention, tho, since he obviously can’t do that and is immediately jealous
•Morro was a big fan of JTTW Monkey King after reading the story, but then he meets Wukong irl and is just like “Oh. This is it?? That’s…disappointing.”
Wukong: “I haven’t even interacted with you yet and you already dislike me, what the hell.”
-Like Morro and Wukong definitely have some similar interests and hobbies, such as martial arts, protective over MK, a distain for rules…but Morro is still twitchy around him.
-Morro owns a JTTW shirt because he still thinks that the story slaps tho
•Morro thinks the Mayor has cool vibes upon first meeting
-Like, Morro respects how unhinged and creepy he is
•Morro does have a broom for a weapon I’ve decided! It’s comical and it works. He gets a new weapon during Season 3, tho!
-He absolutely 100% knows how to use a broom as a staff because he’s used a staff before. In Season 5 when he possessed Lloyd and was trying to steal Wu’s staff, in the tea shop fight he was kicking ass with it. He’s very proficient with a staff and you can fight me on that.
•Morro forgets that he’s mortal again and ends up walking into a lot of solid objects
•Morro strives for success and likes to be in the spotlight still honestly, he can’t help it.
-The man absolutely despises failing in any way; he doesn’t want to be seen as a disappointment.
-At least he’s ambitious!
•Morro’s working on his inability to let things go, and it’s going. Okay. Ish.
-He struggles so, so much with letting go of a grudge, he never forgets nor forgives but he’s trying to
-It’s part of his goal towards being a better person/not being evil lmao
-“I probably shouldn’t hold onto so much hate for what happened before, huh…well maybe I’ll hold onto a few things.”
•MK sometimes does morning exercises with Morro (stretches and stuff), so for the episode “Duplicination” he makes another clone to do said activities with Morro
-How would that go wrong? Contortionist clone is how. Motherfucker stretches himself into a creepy pretzel
-He crawls up a wall like a spider and gives MK nightmares
-“NOOOO!! MY WORST FEAR IS MANIFESTING!”
-He’s super flexible and very hard to catch; good at dodging!
•Morro definitely sees a lot of Lloyd in MK, but it’s not like he can go back to Ninjago rn (he doesn’t know how), and even then! Lloyd and he are on horrible terms. So Morro is inadvertently projecting onto MK to some extent the apology and like…just feeling guilty and almost responsible in a way
-They’re not doing it intentionally, they really aren’t
-MK just gives them Lloyd vibes that make Morro feel guilty
-Took one look at MK and went: “Is anyone gonna big brother that guy?” And didn’t wait for an answer (credit: @breathlessmonkie )
•Morro being referred to ironically as the “family pet” by Tang and the gang is a reoccurring gag in Season 1. It’s for comedy purposes.
-Pigsy: “This is my husband, Tang, our son, MK, and the family pet, Morro.”
MK: “He’s a rescue!”
-Morro just goes with it
•Morro has residual traits from being a former ghost and you can fight me on that
-For example, his teeth are just slightly more sharp than the average person’s. It’s barely even noticeable but it’s there.
-Morro’s eyes have eyeshine (tapetum lucidum?), basically if it’s dim lighting and you direct some light at him, his eyes seem to glow in the dark. That thing that some animals have, you know? Deer.
-On that note, Morro can see in the dark slightly better than the average person.
-There’s more stuff but I’ll go over it later
•Morro loves flying kites!!! He adores those super complex ones and is saving up money to buy one
•MK called Morro “responsible” one time/refers to him as his “responsible friend”, and Morro ends up having a whole new episode dedicated to him having a crisis over that
-Think a midlife crisis except more aggressive and despairing. Morro’s trying to find an outlet for aggression! He’s adamant he maintain his bad boy persona, and MK’s comment shook him
-Like, his whole thing was defying destiny, making his own path in life, beating the odds and being stubborn…and yet here MK is, saying that’s he’s responsible. It goes against what he thinks of himself and just sets him off. Man literally skips work (which he never does) and gets everyone worried about him.
-He’s just acting out to try and prove that he’s not some domesticated ex-villain, but it’s also about him having difficulty adjusting to this new norm
-Before, Morro was doomed to a cursed eternity for the longest time. He was pent up and bitter and focused on a whole lot of negative stuff, and now he’s waking up and going to work and living life like none of that happened. It’s jarring, and he’s realizing that it’s so far from how he once was.
-He’s thinking, “That angry person I used to be was me, that’s who I was. What changed?” When really he’d just been so bitter and upset for so, so long that that’s all he can think of himself as being—that’s who he was, that’s who Morro was. It’s just he wasn’t actively thinking about it or anything until MK prompted it. He’s changed, and he knows that, but now he’s like…he’s moreso conscious of it, like actually realizing it’s not just that he gave up being so spiteful and tried to redeem himself—he’s forgotten what he was like before he was a vengeful spirit.
-That was what defined them for so long. And now who are they?
-The other part of it is that he doesn’t want to feel like he’s conforming, doesn’t want to be responsible, that it feels like he’s just following along to fate’s rules. And he abhors that.
-Uhhhhhh anyways tl:dr Morro has an episode all his own about self-discovery and also demolishes some stuff along the way.
-OH ONE MORE THING Morro divulges some more about his past to MK and Mei in this episode and also I don’t have a title for the episode yet so suggestions/help with that is greatly appreciated
•Back to our regularly scheduled program
•Morro. Does not trust Wukong very much.
-Like, Morro already has past trauma with Wu, given how Wu told Morro he could be the Green Ninja and fed him a bunch of hopeful nonsense and all that. Morro knows that MK’s been told he has some big destiny and power and whatever by this mentor-figure.
-Also. The Golden Weapons’ parallels with Monkey King’s staff?? Fun stuff. The staff “chose” MK and all that jazz.
-Morro doesn’t trust him from the start, although it’s less of Morro being perceptive enough to pick up on Wukong’s crap and instead that his paranoia ended up being right
-Morro would definitely go “At this point I can’t tell if you or Wu are worse, and that’s fucking saying something.”
-There’s one instance in which Morro straight up punches Wukong square in the face. I’m keeping that scene to myself for now because I gotta have some secrets, you know? Heheh
•Mei’s green power startles Morro every now and then
-Like there’s a flash of glowing green in their peripheral and they jolt. Literally they don’t even do it on purpose, it’s a knee jerk response to glowing green powers.
•Morro drinks soy sauce. He’ll get a little dish and sip from it. Yes, I based this off of myself.
•Macaque is Morro’s dad now btw I should probably mention that /hj
•During the episode “Macaque”, Morro shows up when MK does and actually manages to like. Demonstrate a decently strong attack at Macaque’s shadow kaiju thing. Wind does wonders against smoke monsters (I think Mac called it that??)
-Anyways Macaque quickly takes an interest in Morro! Morro tags along with MK for the training stuff because they’re not letting the kid get taken to some secondary location
-…unless they goes too, lmao
-Plus Macaque doesn’t actually mind him coming along, Morro’s wind powers peaked his interest
•Oh also Morro @ Macaque: “You know back where I’m from, we have an elemental Master of Shadow—I bet they could kick your ass, lol”
Macaque:
Macaque: “a fucking what”
•Also Morro? Actually really vibes with Macaque’s teachings?? Like he definitely reminds MK to take breaks and take it easy every once in a while, but for the most part Morro is like “fuck yeah? This guy is straightforward and makes a good point. Although strategy is important to take into account first and foremost it also helps to actually have a sense of direction here”
-So Morro thinks that Macaque’s got superior skills as a teacher to MK here
-Up until the whole betrayal thing haha
•Macaque keeps a close eye on Morro throughout the episodes following all of this actually!
-Like Macaque checks in on him throughout Season 2 and so they cross paths again fairly quickly
-Morro is very apprehensive at first but begrudgingly understands that it isn’t anything personal against MK, what Mac did—Morro’s literally been in that kind of situation before, sort of. “Nothing personal, just doing this to achieve my goals, you just happen to be involved in this and got hurt.”
-Like Morro gets it. You do evil and fucked up shit because it’s fun at the time and you wanna get back at someone who hurt you
•He’s still very protective of MK but he genuinely understands where Mac is coming from when he pulled that stunt
•They both absolutely open up to each other about their respective deaths eventually, though it takes time
•Macaque shows Morro some cool fighting stuff! They spar together a lot
-Morro finds himself looking forward to those sessions (he can get an actual challenge lmao) and so does Macaque! Mac hasn’t had a sparring buddy in. Well. You know ;)
•Morro 100% picks up on the ex vibes Macaque and Wukong have
•But anyways Morro and Macaque have a great time training and sparring together! Neither of them are afraid to get aggressive, but not because they’re angry—it’s because they know the other one can take it!
•They just overall bond offscreen (and maybe onscreen too? Do I need to make another new episode dedicated to this??) during Season 2/end of Season 1
•Macaque and Morro have a fun dynamic that I’ll expound more upon in Season 3 stuff, but I’m saving anything s3 for a different post because spoilers
•I will divulge that LBD has some difficulty handling Morro for reasons that are ghost-related and that Morro wants to kick her ass
-Well, related to the fact that Morro used to be a ghost and I have a very specific headcanon about his new physical body in that regard
•Anyways
•The Macaque thing is pure self-indulgence on my end because he’s one of my favorite characters
•If it feels forced in, it’s because it probably is, but serotonin go brrrrr in my head and that overrules all logic
•I want to draw what Morro’s intro screen would look like for the opening but I don’t have the skill (can’t draw complex backgrounds well at ALL) rip
-Concept for seasons 1 + 2 would have him standing in the front with a clear shot like the other characters do, arms are crossed or he’s leaning on his broom, and in the background we see a cool dynamic shot of him flying one of those neat Chinese kites. Color scheme is mostly greens and grays? I’m not sure.
-My idea for the Season 3 intro I’m reserving for now
•Morro doesn’t know how to drive I should mention. Man needs to learn to, lol
•Mei and MK teach him lingo and Morro honestly picks it up shockingly fast.
-He can understand some things about it? But others he’s at a total loss for.
-For example Morro doesn’t understand surreal memes or deep-fried stuff, he just doesn’t get what’s funny about them
•Morro knows a lot of occult/spiritual info!! He’s your man if you’ve got some form of spooky trouble ailing you
-So for spooky or supernatural happenings, Morro can give some decent advice.
•Don’t get him wet, he despises water.
•Also he’s still absolutely unhinged. Redemption doesn’t mean he lost any of his violent tendencies, so that’s a lot of manic fun.
-The vibe of what he’ll be saying is all good stuff, but the way he says it sounds like he’s delivering a villain speech
-Oh and don’t get me started on his dramatics either because this man is the smuggest and most theatric bastard ever and I love him for it
-A sore loser and a sore winner.
-So a ton of similarities to Red Son’s behavior, just…toned down a bit more and he’s not trying to be a villain. That’s just how he is. He slips back into villain mode sometimes because he was a villain, and he’s also just kinda like that.
-Morro’s villain tendencies/vibes are always more…creepy? Dark? Than Red Son’s are. Macabre, I’d say. He could actually scare you if he wanted to? It’s hard to describe.
-To sum it up: trying to do good things, but his attitude about it is so diabolical and dramatic. Aaaaannnnd his methods aren’t entirely moral all the time, either. He’s trying, okay??
•Although on that note, Morro is still a master at manipulation when it comes to it. He’s very adept at twisting his words around and can occasionally fall back on old habits without meaning to
-Fucking watch out for him when he’s intentionally being manipulative though, you don’t wanna mess with that
•Morro 100% attends Mac’s shadow plays, they really enjoy them and are the most enthusiastic person in the stands
-Macaque: The hero and the warrior were like the sun and the moon—
Morro: FUCK YEAH LET’S GOOOOOO
Macaque, confused and embarrassed: Uh, anyways.
•Morro would either be very good or very bad at fighting Red Son; wind can either fuel fire or snuff it out. Depends on the oxygen and stuff.
•Anything involving flying/air/heights? Morro is adept at that. Man would kill for one of Wukong’s clouds
•Trans he/they Morro rights
•This post is long enough so I’ll end it here

Since Peach Blossoms 🌸 is coming to an end within the next couple of chapters, I was wondering:
Which of these stories would you guys like to see next?
Fire Lilies:
The sequel to Peach Blossoms, but with Spicynoodles. Need I say more?
You Leave Me Paralyzed:
In the final battle against Lady Bone Demon, Macaque didn’t walk away from the fight against Possessed!Wukong unscathed.
In fact, he didn’t walk away at all.
Now paralyzed from the waist down and stuck living with the monkey that put him in this condition, Macaque has to learn how to live with his new limitations, while building new friendships and, perhaps, rebuilding old ones.
(Shadowpeach, obviously. But slow burn.)
Celestial Bodies:
“You are the most beautiful of all of Heaven’s treasures, and I am going to steal you away.”
“Well, you can certainly try~”
Begins similar to Stargaze, with Macaque being a (literal) celestial monkey that hatched from a meteorite. However, the fallen star didn’t land on Flower Fruit Mountain—it landed in the courts of the Jade Emperor’s Palace, in the Celestial Realm.
A Shadowpeach Soulmate AU, with love at first sight.
TL;DR: Sleeping Beauty but with gay monkeys and war crimes.
View the sketchdump here.
The Little Sea Monkey:
One day while out with friends (AKA Mei and Red Son), MK happens upon a strange, abandoned shrine in a forgotten part of the city. He makes a silly wish to be a monkey, just like his mentor, the Monkey King.
His wish comes true, just… with a fishy little twist.
Contains slow burn Spicynoodles, and fun, dramatic reveals. Also inspired by @alyssh-art’s beautiful drawing of Wukong and Macaque as sea monkeys, which you can view here.
It’s On The House:
The story of how Tang and Pigsy met, and the struggles they fought through to make it to where they are today.
Contains a slow-burn Freenoodles romance, with university student Tang and line cook Pigsy, not to mention a rough and tough Sandy who loves to pick and end fights. These two noodle-loving dorks fall head-over-heels for each other, but face extreme disapproval from those they consider family (solely, Tang’s homophobic, speciesist parents).
(Co-authored by the awesome @amalgamorph.)
~~~~
Aaaannnd that’s all! Let me know which of these I should start working on next, but I’m letting y’all know now that they won’t update as quickly as Peach Blossoms did because 1) I miss having free time and 2) I miss working on Stargaze.
Hi everyone, my close friend requested a Red Son marrying MK kind of thing? Red Son is a sweetheart, and oblivious to social queues.
Tumblr media
The Red son of this AU can be very possessive/overprotective, but he cares for MK, and encourages him in his journey to being a celestial being, a protector of Earth.
Red Son has his own palace placed on one of his moons, which he gives MK and his friends shelter from the LBD during her carnage. Red began to have feelings towards MK over the times they hang around, and couldn’t properly express them.
They had a blow out when MK insisted on saving Wukong from LBD. The mission was high risk, and MK could easily die. Red Son’s worry for MK grew, and only agreed to let MK go if he and MK’s friends came along. The rest folds out after that.
Everyone celebrates together with a feast on Mars, and that’s when Red Son “demanded” MK be his partner. MK unfortunately declines, and wanted to take things slow with Red Son. Being oblivious to Earth customs, and mortals in general, he was upset. Red Son however accepted MK’s wishes, and began going out with MK naturally. They become a rather sweet couple. :D
Oh yeah! In this AU, Red Son refers to MK as “Earth Boy” rather than “Noodle Boy”.
Also, I am currently working on Tang, Mei, LBD and Pigsy’s designs right now! Sandy will come up in the near future, so don’t worry!
I hope you guys have a good day!💜
If the ESAU follows the general LMK timeline, how would things fit? Like are Mei, Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy still friends? Did Pigsy even take care of tiny MK before the servant thing?
Just thinking that they are friends and Mei somewhat took MK's place as the 'hero' of the story. Then teaming up with the Bull Family to get back MK and Red Son and turn them back to normal, freeing them from the servant business.
Oh no! What about Lady Bone Demon!? She'd want reader's champions!! (oh wait, the memory of her is erased... haha. right?) But say she's present to see the champions business. How'd she act?
Okay so, there's some spoiler within some answers, some I'mma keep things simple n short:
MK's friend group is basically the same, but of course without MK, who went missing. Red Son also went missing but a bit later than MK.
The friend group doesn't team up with the Bull Family, but they do get in contact at one point due to the Bull Family's missing son. "Freeing" them from their servitude isn't really a thing without major consequences and difficulties to even get there though, as mentioned in a previous post about what would happen if they got their memories back. Not that the Oracle or his colleagues would allow it anyway.
And as stated very early on in I believe even the first info post- LBD isn't in the AU. She gets mentioned, and so does the (Not) Mayor, but the ones behind it all made sure to remove her from the picture. Not that she would've been able to possess the servants anyway in the boys' current state, but it at least makes it easier regarding keeping the world outside the palace grounds clear.
None of the servants would have to actively protect anything besides their Master and their wishes then either.
This is my second account, my main is @slime-sandwhich-nom
Ask blog, where everyone can have fun roleplaying with me : @sun-wukong-answers
I will be posting anything related to journey to the west or Lego monkey kid here as i wanna keep my main account about slimecicle.
yes i will be posting headcanons, ideas, drawings and probably AUs!
feel free to ask. Go check my main if you are interested in slimecicle (mainly scu).
Thank you !
current AUs:
- Tripitaka has gone fucking crazy: an AU with a serious plot but it's also a mock to the ship between sun wukong and the monk Tripitaka.
- burned monkey AU: AU where wukong is the one who has the samadhi fire instead of Ao lie. when the ritual was completed, he turns out to be the fourth ring.
- small hero AU: this AU takes place during the past, where MK along with Zhu bajie, or pigsy, Sha wujing, or sandy and tang find a odd fur cat, who is actually the Monkey king, Sun Wukong in disguise to check on his future successor, MK.
- a trio but it's the same person suffering in three different ways: small AU where sun wukong, while being possessed meets his past version from the journey to the west, and meets his version from the burned monkey AU.
- insanity AU:
AU where wukong is stuck on a loop of all the three seasons of LMK, he soon starts going insane and losing hope.
- fuck it we ball AU:
Another crack AU where Wukong while being possessed is roommate with Macaque, also half possessed, the lady bone demon and the Mayor.
Occasionally also Mei, stuck as a popsicle with the samadhi fire.
- time Swap AU:
The roles are swapped.
Sun Wukong, son of the reincarnation of Tang, Tripitaka, is the new hero in town.
Successor of the almighty monkey kid, saving his city by demons with the help of his friends, while also trying not to get killed. Goodbye young one, is a timeline of the time swap AU.
- welcome to the future AU:
AU where Tripitaka and the jttw crew mysteriously comes back, and sees what the almighty sun wukong has achieved over the years of their absence.
- welcome to the show AU:
LMK and FNAF crossover.
I'm a sucker for jttw so this AU will be focused on them fuck you /s /j /lh
- amnesia rules AU
Macaque looses his memories, and is back into being Liu'er, and wukong will help him regain his memories along with his successor and co.
- master swap AU
Where sun wukong and macaque switch places.
- uh-oh! Au.
Wukong is a scientist but he turned himself into a monkey like a dumbass
- inside the studio au
BATIM x LMK au
- the 12 pains of the year:
Au shared with @moondrop39-dovewing70
- chi sei? AU
Wukong travels through worlds for shit and giggles
- what? Au
An old memory.
Main headcanons:
- stone monkeys headcanons : headcanon about the stone monkey spiece.
- wukong not so visible friend: manifestation of wukong mind, also the one who will be taking the role of the six eared macaque. (Only in this headcanon.)
- the immortal age:
immortals and mortals age differently.
Here's the explanation.
(dosen't apply to the 'tripitaka has gone fucking crazy' AU)
- wujing and wukong relationship:
you can easily find posts about me talking of the headcanon of wukong and wujing have a great relationship, acting like older and younger brother.
But here's the list.
- Macaque and the generals:
how i see Macaque and Wukong relationship (obviously mixed with jttw) and wukong generals!
I’ve been randomly consumed by the concept of an LMK Gravity Falls AU (thanks to YouTube comments) Here’s what I’ve got so far:
MK- Dipper
Mei- Mabel
Macaque- Stan
Wukong- Ford
Red Son- Pacifica
DBK and PIF- the Northwest parents
Spider Queen- Gideon (I’m so sorry Queen 😔 but you do both build a mech and serve the main antagonist before turning against them and also exist mostly as a minor annoyance aside from your one big moment)
LBD- Bill
Sandy, Tang, and Pigsy all kind of vaguely fulfill the concept of Soos, Wendy, and Stan but not so much in a story manner
-MK finds the staff (which had been left behind much like the Journals, except Macaque left it where it was because he couldn’t lift it) and unlocks his powers in messy and chaotic ways so he and Mei train on FFM with Macaque
-Macaque is pretending to be the Monkey King, claiming he “started going by Mac around mortals, might be easier for all of us if you called me that too”
-MK and Mei get into various demon-related shenanigans thanks to MK being Monkey King’s successor. Macaque himself rarely shows up to help with those unless they’re in actual danger because he doesn’t want it getting out that the Monkey King is missing and that the Six-Eared Macaque is impersonating him
-Macaque: “I can’t lift the staff or use my Monkey King powers anymore because I passed them on to you. Heh, it’s okay, gold never was my color anyway”
-he and Wukong had their big falling out under the mountain, and after that, they didn’t see each other for ages. LBD grabbed a hold on Wukong’s mind during a thoughtless, impulsive move of his, and while she can’t quite possess him without her full power, she can feed his negative emotions and whisper thoughts into his head. He knows this and calls out to Macaque for help with “a curse” without explaining why (as usual)
-Macaque, the simp he is, arrives to help and immediately gets met with an LBDified angry Wukong ready to kill him. Mac, confused and upset, can’t keep up with a full-powered not-holding-back Wukong, and loses his eye. He panickedly pulls him into a shadow portal that he can’t control because his powers are going haywire with his panic and fear. He’s been dreading Wukong’s return, but in recent years, he’s gotten concerned and been trying to locate him because if Wukong hasn’t returned after this long, could he be… gone?
-Wukong chooses to spend time hunting down information on how to end LBD instead of returning, and he gathers the rings of Samadhi. He returns to FFM where he senses Mei (ya know, descendant of Ao Lie and all that), only to find Macaque fighting with a strange kid filled with Wukong’s own glowing light and power. Immediately assuming the worst, he jumps into the “fight” to stop it
-Mac is terrified, and Wukong is just terribly confused because he doesn’t know why he’s THAT afraid of him, the two haven’t even seen each other since their big argument… right?
-MK and Mei jump in to protect Mac and Wukong is, again, terribly confused
-MK: “Who the heck are you?”
Wukong: “Uh… I’m the Monkey King. You have my powers, don’t you know who I am??”
MK: “What? Nah, Mac’s the Monkey King”
(Macaque is very stealthily trying to escape)
Wukong, just befuddled: “Wh— no, I’m the Monkey King. Indisputably. Always have been.”
Mei, who was a little suspicious anyway but still liked Mac: “Prove it. Pick up MK’s staff.”
Wukong: (smirking) “Easy.” (It is in fact very easy) “See, kiddo?”
MK: (jaw-dropped, turning to Mac, who suddenly looks very guilty) “You LIED TO ME??”
Mac, rubbing the back of his neck: “Well—“
MK: “Dammit, I should’ve known Mac didn’t make any sense as a nickname. If you’re not Monkey King, who even are you??”
Wukong, before Mac can say anything: “His name is Macaque. Well, the Six-Eared Macaque is his full name, but— he’s definitely not the Monkey King. He’s a trickster, but,” (baring his teeth) “I never thought he’d stoop to stealing my identity.” (He looks at Macaque, who’s frozen) “Lazy identity theft, at that. What the hell have you been doing with my name, Macaque? Dammit, it’s been YEARS. How petty can you GET?!”
Macaque, finding his voice to be angry: “PETTY?! You TOOK MY EYE!”
-Wukong is, again, as always, confused because he would remember doing that… right? And Mac doesn’t elaborate and they continue bickering (with escalation) until Mei and MK break it up and explain what Macaque has been doing with them and how he hasn’t done anything evil and has, in fact, only been good
-Wukong settles down and decides he wants claim on training his successor which sparks an argument until they agree to compromise. Wukong, as typical, doesn’t tell anyone about the Samadhi fire. They end up bickering a lot during training
-LBD finds them anyway and starts the ritual and kidnaps Mei
-after getting Mei back, they have to all work together to beat her using the Samadhi fire, and they end up having to use it on her while she’s inside of a vessel that isn’t the child she was possessing (because no children murder). Macaque makes the sacrifice in Wukong’s place
-I’m not sure how it ends, but Macaque does come back :))
-the end, it’s 3:30AM and I have many more thoughts but am so so eepy
aaa, so i may have came up with an au idea for Wukong that being that he has one eye that still has the after effects of him being possessed by LBD, that ends up making his eye a light-ish blue color that glows. But also due to that effect makes that eye look more dragon-ish and kinda messes with him a bit which causes him to have more of a passive aggressive and more serious manner than his usual cheeky self.
( if i see one sans joke about his one glowing eye i will find you /j )
Also my version of WuKong does still in-fact care for MK , but he’s more out of it with the others and tends to loose his temper more than contain it or laugh it off like his usual self would. He also is more protective and constantly watching out for MK or any suspicious activity that he sees rather that being on the mountain or hanging out at pigsy ys place. But also due to all his stress , and kinda depressed state he started to care less about his well being and focused more on MK’s and only MK’s— So basically the poor guy is just guilty feeling after witnessing the aftermath of LBD and realising how he just let her control him like that. That made him hurt macaque and the others on accident.
Does WuKong get aggressive with MK ? No, he just acts like a literal father towards him. Pep talk n’all however It concerns the living hell outta MK because he’s not used to seeing Wukong like that ofc.
[Silly au idea]
Hmm... I'm most intrigued by The Split Soul Route - partly from the oddball and what sort of Nature Vs Nurture can occur here - but I also think the Found Baby in the Dumpster AKA The Bao Route is cute too. Because that's how Pigsy got MK and by the time the group could/does realize who Bao is, they've already gotten too attached to do anything to her.
[In the Shadowpeach route of my "Reincarnated LBD" au idea;]
But I do love me an immortal killing daughter of the Great Sage. Hard choice. Maybe a poll is needed.
[basically Macaque ends up "holding on to" the wild un-reincarnated soul of LBD]
Considering the shit she did, I doubt that he's just 'holding on to', that monkey probably put the soul in a jar and is shaking it like a madman several times a day - like Tom from the Chuck Jones era of Tom and Jerry in the invisible Jerry episode. But more maniacal laughter.
[Will it attach itself to the recently-reconcilled Sun Wukong and Macaque, becoming Yuebei Xing like in the au? Shadowpeach screaming ensues.]
HMMM!
What if they didn't know? Certainly, a ton of adrenaline petering off and a near end of the world could make everyone a little less observant of a stray soul going for a new host?
Don't know what she could even do in that form, but stay tucked away and wait for the chance to get a new body - like, unless she can manage to make Mac horny enough to go to SWK for relief and that's how they make the kid (sort of exes-with-benefits and maybe figuring-it-out-hate-sex), BUT!
By the time Macadoodle figures out he's got a bun in the oven - that's when the Brotherhood thing is happening. He was gonna tell SWK that day, but it all got derailed like the trains in Persona 5, so he kept it to himself until it got resolved.
Then he tells SWK, maybe after the beach party? Just, putting the other's hands over the still-small-bump and him putting it together.
TMKATI-Mac got lucky he didn't indulge too much in his first pregnancy...Yuebei Route-Mac did not get so lucky. Maybe as a sort-of final 'Fuck you' from LBD? XD
They'd figure it out later, but, like in the Bao Route, they're too attached.
And asking Pigsy for help/advice a lot. Pig-daddy raised a good kid, so they're taking notes.
current posts on the "Reincarnated!LBD au"; here (og post + very cool idea for the Ironbull side), here (shadow twins got made on accident), and here (Shadowpeach done goofed).
I'm leaning towards the "Split Soul" route cus I like writing around the chaos of the gang realising that there isn't just *one whole* super-ancient demon soul floating around. Almost mirrors the situation with the Rings of Samadhi.
Basically in her death; LBD attempted to "Piccolo Junior" (ty @dorothygale123) herself into a fresh new body - only for her soul to splinter into pieces. Two were able to be caught in the direct aftermath and stored away for the meantime - but Reincarnation has a 49 day deadline, and if those days pass without a solution the Underworld will repossess the soul fragments themselves.
So whats easier than for the Fragments to become New Souls instead of potientially reforming into LBD? ¯(ツ)/¯
[What if they didn't know? Certainly, a ton of adrenaline petering off and a near end of the world could make everyone a little less observant of a stray soul going for a new host?]
Hehehe.
Lets just say the adrenaline of fighting your possessed former-mate, making him remember what he's fighting for, and showing your parental side, is a Big turn on for a certain pair of monkeys.
But yeah, no one paid attention to how many Soul Fragments got formed in the aftermath.
[-that monkey probably put the soul in a jar and is shaking it like a madman several times a day-]
The thought of Macaque's storage solution for part of LBD's soul being a jar is hilarious. MK probably yells that he's "just making her angry!" when he catches him doing it.
Tumblr media
Of course this form of torment is the reason Maccadoodle realises that the soul fragment is suddenly missing after he and Wukong make up...
Downside; Macaque does spend S4 el pregante and not telling anyone. First person to realise whats up is Nezha, who found out completely on accident. ("I turned my back for ONE SECOND, and you and Sun Wukong have two infants, with one on the way?!").
Also at least one member of the Brotherhood smelled that something was Off with Mac and mentioned it to the rest of them. Azure had a blue-screen error moment when he tried doing the math. Mac still kicks asses when he decides to fight, even with Peng taking a moment to mock his "egg-burdened" appearance. Peng gets shadow-slapped into the horizon.
[Then he tells SWK, maybe after the beach party? Just, putting the other's hands over the still-small-bump and him putting it together.]
Omg thats the perfect scenario for how Mac tells Wukong about the baby. They're sharing the shade, in addition to a pair of sleepy shadow monkeys, and Mac just takes Wukong's hand when he's offered the peach popsicle and brings it to his middle.
Wukong's eyes blink gold for a second before he starts sobbing with joy. Lots of loud, gross, sappy kissing ensues.
Tumblr media
Bonus+: In theory each of the four New Souls represents an aspect of LBD that was too great for one little kid to inherit.
Yuebei (aka the Shadowpeach baby): Is much like how she is in the TMKATI au. Is a big, kinda-ugly, baby who's started cooking around the time of S4. Messy black fur, pale skull-shaped face marking, six ears and a shocking amount of strength for a newborn. Represents LBD's wrath.
Bao (Freenoodles): Dumpster piglet. Found in the trash during the post-battle clean-up of the noodle shop. Looks like the chubbiest little piglet with wispy white fur & black spots. Was assumed to just be a street urchin orphaned/abandoned in the chaos of LBD's destruction. By the time they realise Bao is even a Fragment of LBD, she's already Freenoodles pride and joy + MK's beloved baby sister. Represents LBD's hunger for power.
Guǐhuǒ (Ironbull baby, name suggested by @aokolpvxs): PIF and DBK planned to have a big big family together long before the complications with Red arose. So when Red Son explained to them about this little unreincarnated soul needing a "home"... who are they to turn down the chance at having a second born after so long? Red didn't even suggest it to them, they insisted. And you *know* that little half-bull princess is gonna have DBK wrapped around her little finger before she even arrives. Represents LBD's pride/decorum.
Shísuàn (Spider gang baby): Part of LBD's soul that got trapped in spider silk, and by-proxy became a spider (specifically a Diving bell) demon egg. Egg is lime green and about the size of a basketball. Despite initial reservations, the whole gang are soon fighting over who gets to name/take care of the spiderling inside. At least until the ginger-haired spiderling hatches and starts screaming with colic. Huntsman finally ends up asking Sandy and the Monkie Kid gang for help once the late nights get too much for him. Turns out the baby spider was just gassy. Has specific "favorites" among the gang, which includes new friend the Scorpion Queen. Represents LBD's mischief/discourse.
The Mayor is hanging around too. Got to keep an eye on where His Lady is after all. Gets beaten up by the gang the second he shows up anywhere. Later even gets beaten up by "His Lady" in the form of baby Yuebei deciding he failed the vibe check.
I have some questions abou the noodle shop ghost au.
Would Morro be someone who when talking about someone, specifically say their physically/mentally tired or would he just say their tired?
You've mentioned Morro being recognised as Macaque's successor by spirits of something (I can't remember). Does that mean he gets Mac's powers? If he does, would Macaque have to seal away some of the powers like Wukong did with MK?
What is PIF's opinion on Morro? You know, with Morro's elemental power and stuff.
Would Morro even recognise the ninja at first when he meets them? You know, with their designs and stuff, when he last saw them they looked like their old designs. Would he recognise their voices (excluding Lloyd)? Would Wu immediately recognise his old student, no matter how much he's changed (physically and mentally)?
Let's say he meets the ninja and the ninja recognise him first, will they attack him out of reflex or something or will they leave it and wait until he does something that gives them reason to attack. Would Kai just immediately pounce of Morro without hesitation? Would Lloyd have a mental breakdown?
Let's say that Morro recognises the ninja first, what would he do? Would he have a mental breakdown or will he just exist the room silently?
What would the reactions of the LMK cast be lik? Would Wu and Macaque have a custody fight over Morro? Would Kai pick a fight with Red Son over "stealing his thing (Which is fire)"? Would Pigsy just look at all the ninja and decide that these are his kids now?
Those are all my questions. For now at least. You don't have to answer all of them but the questions I want answered the most is one and three.
Hooooooo boy. Okay. So.
1. Mentally tired more than anything, it takes a lot to wear Morro down physically—especially since they refuse to admit to such ever.
2. It’s a technicality! He’s technically recognized as Macaque’s, although it’s probably just Heaven trying to mess with Macaque for the fun of it lol. No, he won’t be automatically gaining Mac’s powers, anything Morro learns is something that Mac teaches them. As of season 4, Morro can only manipulate shadows visually, teleport via shadow, hide in shadows (to a small extent) and they’re currently working on figuring out like…shadow attacks. They don’t automatically get all of Mac’s powers. I need more information from whenever season 5 comes out about MK and his whole deal before I do anymore concrete Morro and Mac successor lore stuff.
3. Since I personally love the idea that Mac is sworn siblings with both DBK and PIF, I’m keeping that idea in. Morro and Red Son are cousins. PIF is like an aunt sorta. After the whole LBD stuff/DBK getting possessed that one time, they’re on better terms! Red Son can and will threaten the ninja if they show up that Morro’s under the protection of the Demon Bull family.
But yeah PIF and Morro vibing and you do not want to fight them. Combined, their wind powers are…a whole lot.
4. Morro would definitely recognize them. They’re very recognizable. Although in the fic that’s being worked on (heheheheh thank you coolest friend ever) and in my original ideas, Morro doesn’t meet the ninja first; the ninja end up interacting with the LMK gang beforehand who then realize from Morro’s previous descriptions that these are the Ninja (and because Jay mentions Ninjago) and one of them texts Morro as a forewarning and it really freaks Morro out. More to come on that, hehe.
And yeah they’d recognize Morro, his voice is the same and he’s still. Well. Morro.
5. Lloyd will not be having a mental breakdown because I don’t feel like that would be his reaction to Morro?? A reflexive panic, maybe, but Lloyd is still a ninja through and through. His first line of defense is actual defense. Put up a front of confidence and all that. Although you’re correct to guess that Kai is straight up trying to launch himself at Morro lmao
Although the LMK gang won’t exactly be very pleased about that hehehehe
The girls are fighting, y’all :]
6. Mental breakdown when they receive the text 100000%. Shadow-travels to Mac’s place immediately. Very upset and freaked out.
7. Everyone is fucking battling it out okay no one is safe. Although Wu is back in Ninjago for reasons. Anyways.
There’s gonna be a really awesome fight thing it’ll be great so look forward to hehe
