Lots of my characters are for TTRPGs. So I guess I'll give you some of my characters I've been making for the 5e one shots AJ's been running for us.

Jitters Robusta is a half-elf Warlock/Rogue I made to run some of the wacky stuff AJ's been asking us to look at. One part of that was an Overseer Warlock that gets this sort of beam attack so I really leaned into the Magnus Archives of it all and gave her an eyeball aesthetic, gave her a severe paranoia, a glass eye which shot the beam and a few levels of rogue. She played really fun off of the other two characters (one who had selective deafness and another that had taken an oath of silence)

She's a halfling, who is hard to remember if you aren't looking directly at her. She has dark skin, and an afro-puff in the shape of a coffee bean on top of her head. She only has one eye, and in the other is an orb of solid colored glass.

She almost died tho when she got eaten by a big fish.

Second- this book AJ wanted us to use had a race of Ironwrought which had an option of Quadrupeds so I gave up somatic components and made a four-legged friend named Rover. A former machine built for nothing but destruction the magic of feywild had given him life and worse a conscience. He tore apart his former masters and set himself to a life of wandering (Roving, if you will). Rover is a Ranger and he duel wields his paws which count as light weapons.

Rover AKA the Goodest Boy was immediately beloved by my group which also had a little girl and a reluctant cop as characters. Rover was trying to set the troubled girl on the straight and narrow but to little effect. He looks so cool in my head. This oversized beast of blackened iron with delicate fey filigree in fine silver all over his body. He wears a bright red collar and has a haunted look in his glowing white eyes.

He almost died when a big plant dragged him under the earth.

My latest one shot character is from a set of "adopted triplets" we're using for a Christmas one shot on New Years.

Abandoned at an orphanage as a baby, three children of the same approximate age get adopted at the same time and raised as Triplets. A mutant siren, a dragonborn, and me a Leonin they named Honey. I'm going very "And the Warner sister, Dot" with this character I think but I won't know till I play her.

Honey Nestweaver is a Leonin who was raised by very faithful Gnomish parents who were doing their part to help the community by taking in orphans. They are kind and doting parents who still keep in touch with their children, and therefore Honey, who was always the golden child, is still trying to maintain her image with them.

She is a tall af golden lioness woman, who has confessed to her brothers that she's recently been kicked out of her church but is hiding it from her parents so they won't be disappointed. Besides- she still has her cleric powers so how badly could her little affairs/sex scandals really have offended her goddess? It's only a matter of time till she'll be back in her good graces and back on top of the church. She thinks.

I suppose it'll depend on what AJ throws at her.

It's been living in my head without anywhere to go. A while ago I was talking to someone who was playing the MLP TTRPG and I started thinking about what my character would be for that... and I'm probably never going to get to play the MLP game myself BUT IF I DID

My ponysona would be named Sweet Tea and her special ability would be offering the most comforting beverage to someone when they're sad and her cutie mark would be a purple steaming cup of coffee. She's a light brown with purple flecks on her legs and lime green mane and tail. I think she has purple glasses too. Round ones.

How to do Cassie's routine ‎♡

So in total cassies morning routine is estimated at about $445. Soooo ya girl cassie aint really being cost-effective but thats ok. 

Cassies Morning Routine 

 5:00: Wake up 

 5:10: Shower for a good shower routine go to my pervious post here

 5:30: Wash face + skincare

 5:50: Pick out outfit 

 6:10: Do hair

 7:00: Makeup

 And leave home when you want :)

Cassie’s skin Care 

 ➮ After you get out the shower you want to wrap your hair in a Heatless Curling Rod Headband. Which are $13.99. This gives your hair nice curls that look natural without applying any heat. 

 ➮ Then you want to apply eypaches.  Like me cassies eyes tend to puff up and to get rid of puffines for a smooth look and to look like you got sleep that night. She used  Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Hydra-Gel Patches, Which are $55.

 ➮ After you put the curling rod in you hair. And the Gel Paches on you would want to start sculpting your face with a facial roller. You would want to sculpt the collarbone, chin and forehead. This can make your jawline also have a more defined look if used repeditevly. You can use the  3-in-1 Electric Jade Roller for $20.

 ➮ So after (or before it depends ) you will use an ice roller. Now cassie uses a bunch of depuffing tools for her face. However, This one isthe best (from personal use) It depuffs your face in the morning so you dont go ou looking like a pufferfish. She used the LATME Ice Roller. In retail it costs $13. 

 ➮ Now you want to gua sha and use a face roller. You want to use to rollers. The ones above then gua sha those same areas causing it to relive tension as well as sculpt them.

Now the most important part of it all. Trimming the nose garden. I struggle with long nose airs so this is perfect. Cassie uses the ConairMAN Battery-Powered Ear and Nose Hair Trimmer. This costs $25. 

 ➮ You want to then put on a Reusable Face Towel Mask. Cassie uses this to depuff her face even more (As if the ice roller wasnt enough). However it is easier to just put the towel mask on your face while you do other things. 

 ➮ So the girlies wont be ashy you would want to use the SheaMoisture’s Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Body Lotion. Use it like regular lotion and hydrate your skin. Giving you a refreshing look. Starts at $8.

 ➮ Now last but not least the spray tan. Now you would want to use the Sally Hansen Airbrush on your legs and arms to get a temporary tan that can wash off the same day. Airbrush is $10.

Saban Moon Thoughts

I have been an avid Sailor Moon fan for about 15 years but have honestly been watching the show for 25. So imagine the undeniable joy at watching the ToonMakers pilot!

I have been wrapping my head around the possible lore that could have come from this show and similarities and differences that would have made it a cult classic compared to the original. While I'm glad it never got made because we wouldn't have gotten the beloved Dic dub, I still wonder the "what-ifs" (and shudder to think about a gritty Netflix/CW reboot if Toei didn't clutch the rights like a newborn child.)

The Obvious:

Representation. Yes, the main was still a waify white girl, but there were black, asian, and paraplegic characters. These could have been more relatable to children than our lighter-skinned original characters.

Queer awakenings. Sailor Moon has always been a queer mothership, with Saban Moon re imagining Sailor Mars as the "tomboy" character with short hair. Sailor Jupiter, and later Sailor Uranus, was my own awakening.

Crossing sentai over to North America. While the Power Rangers have reign over this genre in NA, I think that this show could have also created an impact for all-girl superhero teams. It would have ridden on the coattails of She-Ra and have been placed a couple of years before the Power Puff Girls.

Combined Live Action and Animation. This was something I had never seen before and loved the idea that their superhero personas were animated and their civilian identities were live action. I think could have pulled the Sweet Valley High/Babysitters Club/Clarissa Explains It All group, but also the Batman/Captain Planet group.

The Lore Potential

Interplanetary (and Inter-dimensional) Travel. These Sailor Scouts could travel from Earth to different planets to fight monsters, rather than have monsters invade the Earth (as far as the Pilot showed). They use "Sky Flyers" which I assume is where the idea for the Irwin "Moon Cycle" toy came from. With the Vortex as a portal between dimensions, what would happen if it were to close, or if Beryl were to go through?

Identities. All the girls were aware of their identities upon physical arrival to Earth, rather than being reborn and discovering their past lives. They already know they are Guardians/royalty and could have struggles fitting in to Earth customs.

Tuxedo Mask. He still throws the rose to act as a foil and deus ex machina to the Monster of the Week, but his role and appearance is questionable. Is he the prince in disguise (or reborn) or is he pulling a Moonlight Knight (alive but no memory except the sense of duty to protect)? Either way, would this have opened up a live action appearance for Mamoru/Darien to have a similar dynamic with Victoria/Serena/Usagi?

Superpowers. Unlike the original, Saban Moon featured generic power beams in place of the named attacks. However, the elemental aspects of the attacks remained for Mars and Jupiter.

The Youma. These Monsters of the Week varied from the originals in the sense that they were not possessing humans/Earthlings (can't forget Rhett Butler) but rather were monstrous beings themselves. There appeared to be different types and species, likely vulnerable to certain attacks.

Beryl. What is her deal? Did she also have an unrequited thing for Mamoru/Darien/Endymion or did her villain arc go further back?

Cosmic Jewels of Power. I think this obviously opens up the possibility of having the Outers appear. They would need to be rescued/have their own jewels returned to them, possibly giving them an opportunity to be the new transfer students on Earth?

Live Action and Animation storylines. It appeared to me that the live action portion was for the "slice of life" stuff, meaning that anything magical was not to be discussed while in civilian form. The animation, however, is where Luna would reveal cat-appropriate research on how to protect the jewels. Live action Luna still talks, but to either chide about schoolwork or call to action.

Female friendships. While they had their royal camaraderie in the animation, I think the live action would have explored the girls fully developing their friendship outside of duty and in the realm of teenagers, much like the anime.

Toxic Brain Dump

Exactly how did five girls who look nothing alike register for what is presumably a private school without any parents/guardians or identification? Maybe Luna has hypnosis powers like Luna-P. Magic is always the answer.

There were allegedly going to be boys at this dance but I didn't see any in the class room. Co-ed school but separate classes? A mixed dance with boys from a brother school?

The implication is that once Beryl is defeated, the girls can return to their home dimension. Is-is that it? I mean, the Sailor Moon series was still young by the time ToonMakers caught wind, so maybe they just wanted a one to two season series without developing a grandiose franchise.

A possible Mamoru/Darien appearance in live action could mean a separate school and "townie" episodes. Hopefully, the age difference would have been miniscule (like the manga) if at all.

How many big name stars would have gotten their start on this show or possibly didn't pass the auditions? There must have been more characters, townies, mean girls/rivals, potential love interests, and even extras.

Why did the character designs remove the giant bows but keep the rest of the uniform?

Were the character designs based on the actors or vice versa? I'm assuming the designs came first since the girls had to wear wigs to match the animation.

If Toei didn't have the rights in their claws (which Viz only got after a looonnnggg whiiiiilleee) and a gritty reboot was off the table, would a She-Ra - like reboot be palatable? I honestly think so. With even more character diversity and different body types, plus costume designs that show less boobage and less skin, I think this is something that people would enjoy and have fun with. A recreation with queer creators of color would also bring an extra kick to what I think was a very progressive show for its time.

I thought the pilot was a lost cause and was one of people who initially thought of it as a trainwreck. However, upon viewing, I think it's cute and cool and the epitome of a 90s program.

Born the middle daughter to Mitchell and Coraline Liddell, Adeline was seen as a golden child from birth. Beautiful, the apple of her father's eye, quick as a whip and witty to boot. She was a precocious child with big dreams for herself and the will to follow her dreams.

Adeline has two older siblings, and one younger; when her younger sister came along she was less doted upon by her family but it didn't bother her. She actually loved her sister and doted upon her as well.

She excelled in school, earning marks that were far beyond that of her peers, yet eschewed AP levels until much later, though they were offered. She was, in essence, a genius.

Adeline didn't spend much time with her extended family, but Theo was her favored cousin. They got on really well, even from a young age, and he was one of the ones who actually checked up on her often.

When she was 17 she fell in with a boy and fell in love — her first foray into such, though flirtations had been a thing in school — and, after a flash in the pan whirlwind romance she became pregnant with her daughter, Evelyn.

Adeline and — through no fault of her own and never openly — Evie became sort of the hidden secret of their branch of the Liddell family. Her parents very much loved her and loved her daughter, but they also loved their status and the lack of scandal it had endured. They weren't cruel to their daughter, but it didn't mean they were overtly kind.

Adeline was ushered away into a private location, one of the family's many vacation homes, and forced to live there and finish out her A Levels as such. She took care of Evie on her own, though her parents had sent servants, and managed to get through her schooling just fine. University was an option but — and possibly as an act of defiance — chose not to attend and instead stayed at the vacation home raising her daughter and learning to paint.

She honed her skills in painting in the years she was there, still kept away from the public eye because, even now, showing up with a child the age of Evie would be simple math to do even for the burgeous elite.

When she was 25, both of her parents were killed in a car accident — no foul play is suspected, but it's rumored that her father was not sober, a fact buried by their family's lawyer that still managed to trickle out in gossip — and left Adeline a hefty sum.

All of her siblings were taken care of, mind you, but she got the most because they had hoped their daughter would take care of their (then and possibly still) only grandchild. This was never a question and money was immediately put away just for Evelyn in a trust and Adeline was able to life quite comfortably (and by comfortable is beyond the means of the middle class) and still turn all of that money into more.

Her first entrance into society after her purported scandal was at her parents' funeral (they had a dual ceremony, very tasteful, very 'we were always in love') with her daughter's hand in hers. She refused to shy away or hide her daughter, prouder of her than you could imagine, and she looked like she'd never seen a day of ill health. Her head was held high and she (and Evie) walked with the assuredness that comes with knowing who you are.

No scandal occurred, even when people did the math. It didn't need to be a scandal at all, and to her credit, Adeline didn't even entertain those who tried to pry into how it had come to pass or where she'd been all that time. The going line was 'I was away with my daughter.' — not ashamed; never ashamed.

Adeline was welcomed back into the family, connecting first with her cousins Theo and Lilli, and all was well. She did not blame her parents for what had happened, no one even knew she'd been sent away because of their want to keep themselves out of scandal. Instead she just kept her head high.

Theo was eventually told of the whole situation. She trusted him beyond most because in her time at the vacation home she'd received letters (I know, how analog) and correspondence from him especially, with tidings from Lilli as well. Obviously this was before the drama.

Lilli and Adeline opened an art gallery, cheekily named the Black Sheep Gallery and, under a pseudonym, Adeline sold a lot of the artwork she'd done while in exile. Lilli helped her curate and collect more art and the business was thriving. Adeline would never be a starving artist.

It wasn't until a couple of years later that Adeline had approached the Jabberwocks — fully aware of her family's involvement and wanting to be a part of it herself — about helping them launder money through sales at the gallery. She was also now extremely good at forgeries and would do them only at the request of the Crimson King.

She spent years keeping her business in such a reputable condition that no one ever questioned what had happened. Her association with the Jabberwocks was not known and she was skilled at keeping the idea of them separate. Yes, she was a Liddell, but the association need not mean that she was also a member of a crime organization, thank you very much.

She attends events at the Casino often, as its a family affair usually, and often works at charming those there with her quick wit and soft smile, encouraging them to look into art at her gallery when the situation proves appropriate.

At some point in all of this, Lilli and Theo had their falling out and Lilli pulled out of the gallery to pursue her own wants. Though Adeline had never lied about what was done in the gallery on behalf of the Jabberwocks, she neither offered the information up without prompting. It's unclear how much Lilli knew before she left as she and Adeline do not talk about the Jabberwocks when they meet up.

Adeline dated frequently and has hobnobbed with some of London's elite over her tenure. She has never fallen in love, and relationships do not seem to last all that long for her. She's demi/demi sexual/romantic and has yet to find someone to keep her sparked interest.

Now in her mid-forties, Adeline is a proper lady of society, head of her own household, boss lady, and mother of Evelyn, whom she had at a young age and never denies the fact.

She has, in the past, had a few stalkers. Bring known to go out with a lot of men and flirt, lead them on, etc and sometimes they get violent or extremely attached and start to make it their goal to make her life miserable. This once turned into her house being set on fire by a jealous man AND his wife (a situation in which he told her this woman (Adeline) had wronged them in some way and not that he'd been trying to pick her up in a bar and she'd managed to talk him out of most of his money in drinks and cause an obsession) and she had to relocate. The property is not in her or her daughter's name and is instead handled through a secondary party but belongs to them both nonetheless. There is a security detail outside and no one seems to think anything of it because of her status.

If a relationship even gets tense she has a private security detail that can be called in to be put on herself or Evie for their safety. This also can be used if things go sideways in the Jabberwocks and covers her both physically but as far as the WHY she needed it being not necessarily tied to whatever is going on there.

Adeline is a shrewd, charming woman with lofty goals for herself that will take her — and her family — to greater heights. While power never seems to be her goal, she is definitely ambitious and wants to rule something... for now she'll settle with her Gallery... and society.

headcanons

Though she never talks about it, she still has moments in which her mental health gets the better of her and she remembers the isolation she suffered as a teenager. She handled it like a champ, but that kind of treatment will mess with someone, especially if they sit on it too long.

She and Evie still live together as of right now, and Evie is always welcome in their home. Adeline always makes sure that their place is safe and secure and that Evie always has her own dedicated space for herself, as well as access to EVERYTHING else.

She and Theo have a weekly tea date regardless of what's going on with the Jabberwocks or her Gallery.

She is frequently seen in the tabloids, since she was 27 and up to the present day, as her teen isolation led to a young adult crisis that led to recreational drug use, partying, rapid fire relationships, etc. It's hard not to end up on those pages when you're a Liddell. She never let it have an impact on Evie, however. She IS a good mom.

To the above point, she can separate things. She learned to compartmentalize at a young age because of everything that had gone on — and the way her parents were when they were dealing with things — so when Evie needed her she would abandon whatever (or whomever) she was doing to tend to her daughter. She can sober up like a mother when it's put to the test and also cordoned off a time in which everything was just about Evie, but never sacrificed her own being to that. She's a good mom but she's still a whole person around that. Mom is not her personality.

Evie has been encouraged to find her own path, but never pushed out of the nest. Adeline reads like one of those bohemian moms who loves and encourages their child but is freely willing to let them spread their wings and fly, but refuses to force it upon her. This is likely a response to what happened with her.

She's the friend you call when you're in trouble but don't want a firefight to happen to get you out of it. She will save you but it will be quiet and commanding and charming. No broken doors or weapons... unless it's necessary.

Adeline learned how to shoot with a bow when at the vacation home for all those years. She also now is proficient in gun use and frequents a custom gun range built into her home; perhaps a necessity of her association.

friends - starting off with a not so crazy one. Adeline is charming above all and tends to cultivate true and lasting friendships. When she gives her affection in such a way it is lasting. Though this is harder on a romantic front she is fiercely social and fiercely protective of these relationships so they form to varying degrees of attachment. (∞)

best friend(s) - while the above is true for everyone, her best friends fall into a category of their own. They're the people she goes to (outside of Evie) when she needs to talk. Most trusted, most beloved, and she will go to great lengths for them. (1/3 @dcvth )

flings - these are the 'flash in a pan' relationships she's had through the years. Whether this led to tension, anger, friendship or whatever is up to whomever pursues the role, but these are the relationships that generally made it into the tabloids but were snuffed out within a week or so. exes - these are the relationships that lasted a bit longer. Somewhere between a couple of months to a year or so (it rarely goes beyond that) and who broke up with whom is for us to plot out but... as above, it could have led to drama or not, they could be friends or bitter enemies or not even acknowledge each other. evelyn's dad/adeline's first (and only as of posting) love - they got together when she was 16 and by 17 she was pregnant with Evelyn. He doesn't know she exists because of how her parents ported her away and kept it all under wraps. once she reemerged he might have wanted to reach out to see if it was his or not, that'd be up to the player. He would only be (at MOST) two years older than her (so 45-46ish) and could crop back up at any time. Whether he and Evie have talked and know each other will be up to you two. Give me a relationship which starts as contention and distrust and builds over time into something more; mutual attraction sure but buried under the other shit going on. That thing about adults watching toddlers cartoons you reblogged... I think it truly is a reflection of some people literally reggresing in some ways, and i don't blame the ones who just want an escape from their shitty lives. I feel some people simply are finding it difficult to accept the reality of adulthood and all the realizations that come with it. The lost of innocence and all, finding out the world is more harsh and cruel that expected... I don't know, i can understand in a way because sometimes ill watch cartoons from my childhood or play videogames from that time too... It's the nostalgia from better times. I think it happens to us that had more sheltered childhoods.... However, i do think its weird to seek out new cartoons from toddlers and somehow enjoy it. I don't get it. Perhaps cartoons fr older kids are really bad nowadays, i wouldnt know.

I do think its more understandable for people interested in animation since most western cartoons are geared towards kids, and adult cartoons are ugly as balls lets be honest. And they can be cringy as hell: once i was walking by my brother watching that Bojack horseman or whatever cartoon, and there was this character talking about asexuality and how you could be asexual and have romantic relationships and sex. Like, the cringe... Id rather watch bluey or stephan university lmao

Yeah I hate how Western animation has become.....so ugly. I mean the Power Puff Girls or Totally Spies had some edge but when I see today's animation it looks so ugly and disgusting (Family Guy, Big Mouth has to be the filthiest adult animated show I ever laid my eyes upon). And I also hate how adult shows have to be so unecessary sexual. It's like because, since they're for an adult audience, they now could tackle those topics, they had to shoe horn these unecessary awkward and disgusting storylines.... I think you are absolutely right about how watching these "comfort shows" can help coping with the hardship of reality, but look at the result : people are getting more and more (intellectually and emotionally) retarded. It's not normal for a 25+ adult of being invested in anime or manga where the characters are half of their own age....

Look how anime has groomed entire generations of men thinking that women enjoyed sexual harassment and rape, and that they didn't have real hobbies (beside looking out for male approval). I'll never be over how horrendously written 99% of female characters in manga are (the 1% left are written by female mangaka). There's no wonder men who grew up with that trash have a totally wrapped image of women, struggle respecting their boundaries (there's no wonder japanese men are known creep - especially with foreigners), how a REAL ADULT HUMAN FEMALE body look like (just the other day there was a kid on Twitter calling "disgusting" a woman who had.....body hair on her arm. His argument? "but IN PORN women don't look like that!!!".....😐).

I think those shows are ruining the way people are adulting. Western civilization look down on cultures that upkept a "ritual of passage" into adulthood, arguing it's unecessary and kinda hard on kids to have such a sharp leap into adulthood, but I think those cultures actually have a point. At some point adults need to cut out with regressive coping mechanism for their own well-being.

Again : grown adult watching debilitating shows is not normal. It makes them emotionally retarded and dumb. Just because something helps you to cope with shit doesn't mean it's harmless or good for you in the long run.

The future ruler of the Crystal Empire, Flurry is a very selfless princess who genuinely cares about other ponies and is willing to put them before herself. These are very fitting traits for a future ruler, but to be honest Flurry doesn't wish to suceed her mother just yet. She knows all about her longevity as an alicorn and how she'll eventually outlive her friends and family once she receives all her mother's power and ascend the throne. But for now, she's perfectly happy with living in the moment and enjoying her time spent with those she loves.
