Let’s talk about the educators:

Present Mic lowkey has anger issues. Obviously he’s a pretty cheerful guy but lowkey, he be tweaking when he’s mad.

All Might is actually really bashful and insecure. Somehow being the #1 hero is NOT a guaranteed confidence boost.

Eraserhead is reasonably pretty strict with his students, but any affection you didn’t hear out loud, he definitely SHOWED it. His love language is physical touch, go look into it.

Midnight is definitely a little inappropriate sometimes but if you actually listen to how she speaks about the kids, you can tell she loves them dearly. It’s kinda the same way Kirishima calls everything cool “manly”, that’s how she is with being “youthful and full of vigor”.

Powerloader is probably THE MOST PATIENT of all of the educators. Do what you want, just stop blowing up the workshop.

And Snipe is just fine as hell. Also somehow I just found out that his quirk is Homing. And not gun. He’s just a southern gentleman with a blicky

why the fuck was all might allowed to be a teacher. he's teaching at what is widely regarded as the best school in the country, particularly for heroes, but also just in general from what i understand. there is no way in HELL that a school like that would let a person who is uncertified and has no higher education to teach, regardless of how famous they are or how much pressure the hpsc put on the school or even how eclectic and eccentric the school/its teaching styles are. there is simply no fucking way.

at most he'd be allowed to be a guest in some of the hero classes to provide additional feedback, etc etc. he probably couldn't even do administrative work as that generally requires either ample teaching experience or some level of training/school to do as a job.

also, i don't care how much nedzu loves chaos, he also loves his job and wants to protect/care for his students. he would not just skip over all might's lack of ability for this, no way no how; he would expect him to follow the rules set up to ensure that the teachers are equipped to handle the position and to teach the students

semi-related to the above, it is a personal headcanon of mine that many of the UA teachers are not as popular or as widely regarded as other heroes BECAUSE THEY HAD TO GET A TEACHING DEGREE. many of them worked as heroes or sidekicks to gain field experience but did so while also attending university to get an undergraduate degree AT THE LEAST. then, depending on the person, they either went straight into a teaching assistantship or continued working as a hero for a few more years to get more experience. however, many of them weren't able to reach higher levels of notoriety simply because they didn't have the time or the energy to market themselves and they ALSO didn't have a need to, as they were working towards a different goal.

for some, especially those in the support course (i'm thinking powerloader but i'm sure there's others), i could see there being waivers like many schools offer for folks teaching a trade (at least in the US). if you've worked in a trade for long enough, you might only need to get your teaching license which is usually not as long as getting a degree since your work experience shows that you know what you're doing. so i could see some of the teachers for support courses or even business courses being hired through a similar process.

i also think that most of the teachers don't work as heroes during the school year. i think that they keep active hero licenses and are able to be called on at any time (i could also see staff wide training/sparring being a part of this), but that they generally are taken off the roster. there are definitely some exceptions to this, like aizawa who's quirk is super valuable and who is also insanely willing to sacrifice himself and his health to help others (he needs therapy and some sessions on how to set boundaries). i think yamada is also an outlier with his radio show, although i think that started while he was getting his teaching degree and was working for the university's radio channel and he just decided to keep up with it. however, everyone else just teaches and then picks up freelance work during the summers (also see them only being on 10 month contracts or an equivalent type of work schedule).

i also know next to nothing about the requirements for teaching in japan, so take most of this with a grain of salt. but, at the same time, i think bits and pieces of this are probably universal.

it should probably also be mentioned that i really like bnha for the potential and the amount of room left for fanfic and the fandom to play around in the sandbox that is the world that Horikoshi Kōhei has created but i literally can not finish the manga or the anime. i have tried. multiple times. and i can't get past the sports festival for either of them. so maybe this gets better explained or something or maybe my standpoints on the characters are a little off.

PURPOSE: TELEPATHIC QUIRK ASSISTANCE

ABSTRACT: A telepathic quirk can function in several ways. It is not necessary to list all of the categories telepathic quirks are placed in for the sake of brevity. What I intend to focus on with this device is the nervous type, where the individual is able to project an external nervous system in a limited radius and manipulate matter within the radius as if part of the individual’s body.

USE: This is a non-specified support item, meaning that it can be widely distributed and recreated (though in this case customization would be necessary according to the user’s head size. In the case of distribution, the user would submit the measurements of the circumference of their head and the construction of the halo would commence according to those measurements. Any other necessary or cosmetic adjustments would be made either by the distributor, secondary support companies, or myself, depending on the request). The primary function is to expand the sphere of influence of the user’s quirk by 50% of the original radius. Powerloader had nothing but high hopes for his son, the young teen had his mom's quirk but at a level no one expected, he could manipulate rocks and dirt and the likes.

It was incredible.

His drawback?

He was completely blind and he couldn't manipulate things too pure like platinum and the like along with not being able to 'see' anyone airborne.

He spent years learning his Quirk and how to function in the world, learning a form of echo location via sensing the earth through his feet completely abandoning shoes because of it.

He would make an amazing hero.

He was currently in the process of training for the sports festival, his dad training and helping him.

Aizawa had asked for (name)s presence during training because apparently his kids were getting a bit too cocky and not understanding that even though someone could be disabled or quirkless that they could still prove to be a challenge.

He basically asked (name) to beat his kids asses to humble them.

And with one permission slip from Nedzu and an ok from his dad, the two were walking to gym Gamma "so what's up with class 1-A anyways? Why are they so controversial?" (Name) asked his dad as they walked towards the gym "they are trouble magnets" he said simply "not to mention a few of them have an attitude problem"

(Name) never really interacted with 1-A as he usually spent his free time with his classmates or dad as Higari made support gear for his son to test out.

"I see..." He was curious about the class as his dad opened the door for his son and watched as the class looked at his kid confused and scowled as their faces morphed to pity.

Now he couldn't wait for him to beat their asses.

"What? Is blindy gonna give us some piss speech about how blind people can do shit we can too or some bullshit " Bakugo spat and Aizawa activated his Quirk to silence the blond "no, this is (name) Maijima, you are all going to fight him" Aizawa said simply as (name) walked towards him and if it weren't for the milky eyes, everyone would have assumed he could see.

"Sir! That's far too dangerous! Not to mention an unfair disadvantage!" Tenya said with urgency and (name) snorted at this nonsense he was hearing but was used to people constantly treating him like he was fragile and weak, he was blind not a god damn infant.

"This will be a lesson of not underestimating your enemies, now I will let (name) get changed and at the buzzer we will begin training and quirks are allowed"

When (name) got changed his dad and Aizawa went to the observation deck "god I hate it when people act like that" Higari grumbled and Aizawa sighed "well they will learn quick to not underestimate their opponents"

Walking out (name) moved his toes against the ground and walked to the marker Aizawa left on the ground for him to stand near and fix the earpiece all students were wearing.

"This will be easy" Bakugo mumbled as the rest of 1-A shared similar thoughts but most did feel bad about fighting a blind guy but when the buzzer went off none of them were expecting what came next.

"And here we go" Higari snickered as he watched his son manipulate the ground below him the metal of items laying around and wreak absolute Havok on the class.

It took ten minutes.

Ten minutes and 1-A was taken down.

"H-how..?" Iida said weakly as he stated at the barefoot teen who played with a floating pebble, weaving it through his fingers "because you guys underestimated your opponent without any knowledge of their abilities, you assumed because be couldn't see you the way you see him that he was weak" Higari said firmly as he patted his sons back and mumbling a soft 'good job kiddo' to his son who beamed in his general direction.

"(Name) can sense the ground around him as a form of echo location and most obvious can manipulate earth matter" Aizawa explain as the class looked at the teen "and you will all be against him at the sports festival"

"I cant wait to see what you guys bring when you're actually prepared!" (Name) said happily as the students swarmed him and began chatting him up "Oi! It's still class, you can talk to him at lunch" Aizawa scolded his students who stepped away from the younger Maijima who just smiled "never underestimate your opponent, you don't know what they bring to the table"

"I'm cool to answer any questions Mr.Aizawa" (name) said happily and the students raised their hands for (name) to pick only to realize he can't see that and Aizawa sighed before pointing to Kirishima "how did you get so strong?!"

"My dad taught me" (name) said pointing to his dad's general direction "he taught me how to control my quirk and make it what it is now"

"Why aren't you in the hero course?"

"I plan on joining through the sports festival, a chance to show that I deserve to be in it without people assuming I got in through pity and assume since im blind I somehow deserve less"

The class felt like shit after that, they made those assumptions and pitied him.

"Being blind isn't some curse or some tragedy, I can't see so what? That shouldn't have made you assume I was ill equipped for combat"

"...we're sorry we made such quick judgements and looked down on you, it was unfair and unjust as heroes" Momo said genuinely and the other students save for Bakugo and Todoroki (he nodded forgetting (name) was blind) agreed with her words and (name) just smiled "I forgive you but don't be dumb"

When (name) left Aizawa looked at his kids "and now we are going to train you all to be stronger since you're clearly lacking now five laps now, no quirks or it's another 2 laps added"

Cousin Shinsou and Izuku shenanigans in Snipe’s little Cowgirl: (Reminder/information: Izuku is a trans girl in this AU)

-Shinsou totally has the ability to mimic voices right? So he can do accents.

-when they met, Bethany (Snipe’s cousin) hadn’t married Dr. Shinsou (he needs a name but I don’t know what I want to use so I will take suggestions or scroll through fanfics to find one) and Izuku didn’t have her egg cracked yet. So these two kids who got heavily bullied are just side eyeing the fuck out of each other and being nervous as fuck. At least until Izuku talks about Eraserhead and Hitoshi goes !!!. Besties after.

-They don’t go to the same school but through Izuku going to Mustapha Private they meet Kirishima and Ashido. I am seriously thinking Hitoshi gains crushes on both for funsies.

-Izuku and Hitoshi have in fact pranked all of UA one time when Snipe had them there while he was doing teacher stuff. Nezu and Aizawa included.

-Hitoshi HATED Inasa when Izuku dated him but tried to be supportive. When the bullshit happened, Hitoshi actually did threaten him.

-I feel like someone tried to blackmail Hitoshi into dating them but Izuku out of NOWHERE would just slam down so much evidence of their bullshit.

These two are the ONLY LGBTQ+ members of the family so far. Everyone else (except maybe Mabel) is straight as fuck. This also means though that the family will go rabid for them.

-Bethany once tried to murder someone who commented about Hitoshi liking boys. With her heel. It was at a gala she went to with Snipe and the kids cause heroes and she was going to throw down with a minor hero.

-I feel like Hitoshi isn’t friends with Yaoyorozu or Iida but he is with Todoroki.

-Yeah that’s what we’re doing. Izuku got the two nerds and Hitoshi got his fellow emo/silent type.

-Todoroki still has his issues though. So does Hitoshi actually cause fuck it I can.

-It’s just when your Quirkless cousin gets into UA and you don’t you get a wake up call you need to buff up and work out.

-Izuku lords it over him for months. (I headcanon there are hero universities for kids who didn’t go to hero high school so she thought he’d go there if he didn’t get in through the sports festival)

-Not that… okay so, Hitoshi didn’t think it would be robots and while he isn’t Quirkist he did think he and Izuku were on the same level for UA. But they weren’t cause Izuku worked her ass off. She didn’t do recommendations cause the ‘favouritism’ issue, but still got in. Hitoshi didn’t. So it’s something he’s got to admit.

-… also now actually it would be fun to explore his assumption Izuku has to work twice as hard as him to be on his level. It’s subtle but it’s a micro aggression I think would be common.

And like I love Hitoshi I do. I also think he’s a dick in the beginning and it’s not to far out he would think that. He’s not Quirkist in the sense ‘Quirkless is useless’ but he does have some thoughts about how Izuku will always be working harder and shit.

Which isn’t wrong. But… *waves hand* yeah.

-So it’s a wake up call when she gets in but he doesn’t and like yeeeeeeeeaaaaaah.
