Virginia is a known racist and Lestat apologist who will dig up any crumb of "evidence" from the show to fit her own version of anything. She's attached to Lestat and the story bcuz of personal trauma and doesn't seem to have any self-awareness about that. She's able to play a professional victim about anything, particularly for the way she always has to throw in this kind of shit into every post:

And that element is where the dissociation between the writers/characters and the fandom begins. The fandom wants to view this through the lens of domestic abuse with one partner being 100% the victim and the other partner being 100% the abuser. If anyone disagrees, it gets into the territory of bullying, name-calling, harassment, labeled an abuse apologist, labeled a racist, constant policing of opinions, and so on and so forth.

A show like this doesn't happen by accident and the stuff we're told at various levels of the show are not the writers themselves. Things are being intentionally put into these stories to be noticed the way they are. A lot of ppl hate this adaptation but pretend they don't bcuz they're waiting for Lestat's season, cuz they think race won't matter anymore and it's time for fun, sexy, sassy bitch shit!! They think none of this will rly matter and it's something to tolerate rn.

None of these ppl has an understanding of Lestat as a character the way that Anne Rice actually wrote him. They'll praise his "honesty" and then ignore the ways he tells u himself how he's killed ppl sometimes bcuz he was just moody, or how he knocks Nicki across a room into a mirror during an argument. Louis and him physically fight all the time. This reliance on "he'd never do this to Louis" is bs bcuz this is a logical escalation of the character from Anne Rice herself.

These ppl don't see Lestat objectively and they don't understand how to navigate the reality of what abuse looks like, they don't know how to navigate interracial abuse, and everything they're looking for is a reason that Lestat is the real victim, which is why nothing makes sense to them.

We didn't revisit murder night at the trial bcuz the trial is fake and that is meant to highlight why it's fake. "Why aren't we focused on the actual crime?" Bcuz the point was to assassinate the characters of everyone through a lot of antiblack tropes, not carry out any "real" justice. As Claudia says, Lestat is clearly still alive. It's meant to feel disorienting and fucked bcuz it is! The revisits to the fight and everything else are to make Lestat look like a bigger victim. The point of the show is never to reveal one "true" version of anything. The truth of any of it lies somewhere in between *all* of it. Ppl waiting for this "perfect" moment of clarity, usually where Lestat can stop being seen as such a bad guy, are going to wait forever.

Anne Rice never rly confronted any topics or had characters grow so her book stans don't know what that looks like and can't see where any of these stories are going. Ppl upset about the drop, saying it ruined a beautiful loustat book moment, can't seem to comprehend that they will prbly fly into the sky again at a later time, when Louis' trust has been restored more. There's no ability to think long term into stories, I've noticed. it's all a rush of soothing panicked feelings at "why does this fandom hate my favorite character." IWTV has *always* made Lestat out to be a piece of shit. The only difference here is that his white privilege is brought to attention more and the characters he's hurting and who hate him are now black and brown. that gives ppl a lot of feelings and so now the point of fandom has been to keep reminding everyone he's actually a great guy and all of this is from trauma and vampire laws, he's innocent under it all!

That is what many people in this fandom seem to be doing. They are viewing this show through their own lens of personal experiences, viewpoints, credos, and humanistic morality standards.

And that will simply not work with this show. From what I’ve seen and heard, I think that is the detached approach the writers are taking. They are creating this gothic love story adapted from books about vampires. They add in meta levels of commentary about racism, homophobia, xenophobia, etc. They just never meant for that to be what the show was truly about.

She can't even describe book scenes accurately or ever talk about race or racism but let's all trust her to tell us what the show is rly trying to say lol. suuuuuuure.

Roadside attraction by popatochisp. Dinner on the road where a scertain skeleton comes to visit. An underfell Papyrus fic that’s really good.

Your Friendly-Neighborhood Witch by earthvibes. Readers a witch, chaotic and doing work with Greek gods and also came across a skeleton who, upon their meeting, punched her in the face. It was Stretch

Skull Joke by Gotcha. This fic is purely just humor. Not much plot just the lazy brothers doing stand up comedy mentioning reader every once in a while. Had me laughing a lot and is really good.

Poor Little Meow Meow by Mystique. This- THIS! I’ve never liked killer before but hood damnit this does things to me. Killer interacts with a veterinarian MC who is clueless to the danger she’s in. They have kittens. Kittens. Adorable.

The Fulfilling Ordeal of Being Known by nighttimelights . It’s a one shot smut but, ah, Horrortale sans is a girl and I’m questioning me sexuality. It’s damn good and a spin off of a harem series by the same author.

Skeleton Sisters and the Architect. Whooooooooo damn this is good. Fluffy, humorous, probably never going to be updated but for what’s there it’s so good!!

Skeletons Sisters Meet the Landlady by her as well. It’s them again, shot but finished and great.

A Sea of Hope by Aylish91. Pirates and skelly reader. Axe is a simp, they’re out at sea, everything’s great except when it’s not and readers just trying to understand what the hell her body’s about.

To pray on the hunters by periodically_annoying. Pretty good haven’t read it in a while but nice.

Stolen Souls by RubyPasha. It’s a twist on the “reader gets transported to the dating sun with the skelly bros” trope. Except she’s not supposed to be there and it’s a real slow burn. She’s kinda just living her life and trying not to die but also becoming friends and she needs hugs. Lots of hugs.

A spider in a graveyard by the same author. Readers Spider-Man’s student, her versions of the brothers and villains. She fights them, gets sucked into another universe by the machine and stuff happens. What’s nice is it’s a harem but with versions I’ve never read about. Outerfell, farmswap, Lustfell and such.

16. Any guilty pleasure trope(s)?

hmm..well, when it comes to tickle fics specifically, my guilty pleasure would definitely have to be interrogation tickles haha. i’m someone that is very big on consent when it comes to tickling, which is why loving interrogation tickles is a “guilty” pleasure for me lmaoo

Most of the writer ask posts I come across are only like ten or so questions long so I thought I’d try to make a longer one because we like talking about our writing! Feel free to reblog!

1) How old were you when you first starting writing fanfiction? 12 or so

2) What fandoms do you write for and do you have a particular favourite if you write for more than one? Marvel,DC,Riverdale,WWE,Harry Potter,Anything that sparks My creativity really. Favorite so far would be Marvel. 

3) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer. OC’s,they’re just easier and I can give My Character more personality then Y/N. 

4) What is your favourite genre to write for? Romance,Drama and Fantasy.

5) If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi chaptered stories, which would it be and why? Wells of Hearts,My FanFic of The Flash’s Harrison Wells. 

6) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why? Prbly My Teen Wolf-Peter Hale one,since it went no where and I don’t plan on finishing it. 

7) When is your preferred time to write? Any time I have free lol

In My Most recent Harry Potter one,A Perfect Distraction,Probably the end when Severus shows up and asks to join them. Everyone else likes The Comment Lucius makes in the ballroom about Draco and Harry though ;P 

10) In your xxx fic, why did you decide to end it like that? Did you have an alternative ending in mind? For A perfect Distraction I had The end clear in my head before anything else,for a change and just thought that added a little humor to the Smut and gave a reason to add Snape in. 

11) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it? Nope.

12) Who is your favourite character to write for? Why? I’m pretty sure Loki will be,So far HR Wells because his Character is so fun and light.

13) Who is your least favourite character to write for? Why? I don’t really have one.

14) How did you come up with the title for the xxx? - You can tell about multiple stories. A Perfect Distraction is a Comment made by Lucius to Rihannon in the story so that’s how I came up with the title for the one shot. The Title for The main story is Called The Snakes and The Raven. Pretty self explanatory really.

Mischief on Wings is My soon to be Loki x Amara story and I came up with that name as sort of a tongue in cheek way of describing both characters as Loki is The God of Mischief and Amara is a Valkyrie. 

15) If you write OC’s, how do you decide on their names? They just kind of come to me or through a name generator lol

16) How did you come up with the idea for xxx? For The Snakes and The Raven,I had just finished The Movies and developed both a Crush on Lucius Malfoy and Severus Snape,I decided to write Fanfiction about them and Rihannon came to mind as a Ravenclaw who was in love with Them both in school,Luci and Snape where Good Friends growing up and both fell for her and they decided to be in a Poly relationship together (in My Fic both Malfoy and Snape are Bi). I made Rihannon there age instead of a Student because I felt the Teacher/Student dynamic had already been over done.

17) Post a line from a WIP that you’re working on.  "Hit on her again." Severus warned Sirius,wand at his throat. "I.Dare.You. 

18) Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them? Teen Wolf- The Alpha. My PTSD and The fact that most of The Peter videos I had watched on youtube had been deleted...

26) Which part of your xxx fic was the hardest to write? A Perfect Distraction-The initial Smut scene took so long to write because I was either not in the mood or had no idea how to approach it. Turns out I just needed to make Lucius Romantic :)

see, this one’s kinda tricky because my experience with rocky fc’s have been different every time, both in urban rp and in indie. ofc, back in like 2013-2014 there was still that whole “harlem drug dealer/pimp/gang leader” trope going on for him and he was either a jackass or like, super abusive/sleeping with everyone, but i’ve also seen him portrayed opposite of that. i remember the very last group rp i was in, he was one of my best friends and a pretty nice guy. as for indie, only a few have really stood out to me honestly? like the tinashe muses i saw before making aspen, when i made my muse hassan i wanted to stray away from the usual trope you’d see and made him this hopeless romantic ass spoken word poet rather than the usual hardass. my favorite rocky muses to rp against though are @obscvne‘s muse javon, being that him and ona were the first ship i had w/ linny, @thvndcrstrvck‘s former muse king, because even though our verse is locked away in a vault forever, you still see me tagging shit bc man…….the shit kidada had to go through with king. he’s real live kidada’s husband and she’s somewhere living the fuck lavish with their kids and prbly a dog rn. plus seeing king develop in that ship was just beautiful??? (fyi i ruined domo’s vindictive theme i’m not sorry lol), my gf (who doesn’t use this blog anymore i don’t think LMAO) @benihcnas‘s muse rakim because he’s another rocky fc who strayed away from the hardass trope by being a literal fucking dork in his ship with angel, and finally, @hennasai‘s muse mekhi because deadass?????????? writing katya against mekhi makes me cry. mekhi’s entire backstory makes me wanna cry. such a 10/10 muse, and that’s not just because he’s the love of katya’s life at the moment, but because reading his bio and having him develop both himself and kat in that verse was sensational. and i love my diamond, so.
