Propaganda
Bilbo Baggins, The Hobbit Trilogy (2012-2014)
Portrayed by: Martin Freeman
“He is the most relatable man to ever exist, and that's hot. He likes tea and handkerchiefs and archaic-maybe-evil-jewelry. Introverted braincell with bravery and a soft spot for crazy old wizards. And dwarves. And-“
Prince Chauncley, Miracle Workers: The Dark Ages (2020)
Portrayed by: Daniel Radcliffe
“How can you not love a prince played by Tony-winning mensch Daniel Radcliffe?? Chauncley is also such a sweetie, even if he can be air headed at times. Plus his romance with Geraldine Viswanathan's character is very cute.”

Miracle Workers: A Keefe Sighting, 3 Queer Codes, and 2 Bare Butts
Gay jokes, gay subtexts, and queer codes seem to be everywhere in Tony Cavalero's non-Gemstone work.
Miracle Workers (2019-23) is an anthology sitcom, with the same central cast playing different characters in different historical eras. There may be angels about.
In Season 2, set during the Dark Ages, Prince Chauncley (Daniel Radcliffe) tries to win the approval of his macho dad. King Cragnoor the Heartless, in spite of being shy, artistic, and pacifist (but straight). Meanwhile Alexandra Shitshoveler (Geraldine Viswanathan) roils against the ignorance and superstition of her society.
Tumblr media
In Episode 2.2 (2020), Ted Carpenter (Tony Cavalero) and his brew-dogs (sort of like dude-bros except one is a woman) square off against Alexandra in a trivia contest.
First question: "Which hunky emperor is well known for his juicy, trashy ass?" Ted gets it immediately: "St. Maxwell the Thicc!" An expert on men's asses, Ted? Funny, so is Keefe.
Next question: "Why does the sun go dark during the daytime?" Ted knows: "The devil gets horny for the sun 'cause they're both made of fire…he flies up there, and he fucks the sun so hard….that all the fire in it goes out."
Presumably instead of gender, these beings go by composition, so two fire-beings together is the equivalent of two men. Or we could recall that the sun is masculine in most cultures. Either way, the Devil is gay.
The other queer codes and two bare butts are in the full review, on Righteous Gemstones Beefcake and Boyfriends.

I appreciate Miracle Workers for their 'in every universe these two will most likely be together' deal. Some of the endings are more open ended but its hope for them
