Eiffel Tower Table Sculpture

A few years ago, I found this lovely table sculpture on Nat Dreams Sims:

I was unhappy to find out recently that Nat Dreams Sims’ blog is down, (her tumblr is still up, but her links are out of date), probably permanently because I saw the word “suspended” in the link.  So I’m providing my own copy of this nice sculpture here. Enjoy :)

princess-arystal21 The architecture is fascinating, though I've never seen that particular style for Sims 2, (and I've seen a lot of awesome, bizarre stuff for this game).   I think it might be possible to get the beams, but you would need a lot of OMSP's and use the cheat that unsnaps objects from the grid.

Right? I just wanted to try something a little different but still low-effort, and sticking spikes all over the outside of a building? I can do that!

Care Bears!

It's not a 1980s Sim's home without these for the kids! 

I remember Care Bears!  Kids were crazy about them in that era!  I was able to find two different links for these.  The sweeties up above can be found here at MTS.

The second set can be found here, at MTS as well. 

These are all recolors of the Maxis Teddy Bear, so no mesh required.

Affinity Sims

Hello.  I wish I was posting under happier circumstances, but as we all know, Rebecah passed away a short while ago, and now her website, Affinity Sims, is not responding when people come to visit.  I’m worried that it will go the way of many wonderful Sims websites and be gone forever. 

Her page on MTS is still there, but there were many wonderful items on her main website that were not copied there. 

So I am gathering everything I ever downloaded of Rebecah’s and creating an SFS archive. 

I have also made an interesting discovery.  Affinity Sims is there on the Wayback Machine (thank you to the people who archived it when they did), and the links to the images and SFS files Rebecah made are still accessible, you just have to know the workarounds.  So I’ll see if I can download some goodies I never originally bothered with on there.

Hello @princess-arystal21! Terribly sorry for my late reply. Many thanks for the link! I’m so sorry to hear Rebecah has passed away :-( may she rest in peace.

I have quite a few of Rebecah’s downloads I believe, on my pc back home. I’ll be going home around the end of March, will update this post then! In the meantime, here is my sfs folder (as of now, it contains one download from Rebecah which was kindly submitted to me by @cliodhna76!) I will upload the files I have to that sfs folder when I’m home. I’ll contact sfs as well, in case they might be able to help out, since her sfs files are still working.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but there were other creators on Affinity Sims, right? Do we know if they had accounts elsewhere?

Honestly, I spent like half an hour looking for the damned phone accessories, I have them downloaded, but most of them are from deactivated blogs or under paywall now. I’ll probably reupload the one from the deactivated blog, though.

I love the light-green siding, and the garden is beautiful. Where did you get the pink lilies? I've had such trouble getting stargazer lilies for Sims 2 b/c not many ppl made them. Where did you find yours?

Little 80s Victorians

One of the stranger fashion trends to come out of the 1980s was a semi-reemergence of Victorian styles mixed into everyday clothing.  It was mostly confined to women’s clothes, such as blouses, nightgowns, formal gowns, and wedding gowns.  Not all women adopted this trend, but it was popular enough to show up in tv shows and movies.  It appears styles from the 1880s and 1890s, such as high collars, yokes on the chest, and big puffy sleeves (sometimes in the mutton style) were used. 

I’ll be posting several interesting outfits relating to this fashion trend, but for now, we’ll just focus on this little nightgown. 

This is called the 3t2 Classic Night Shirt from the Luxe Kid’s set.  It was first converted here.  This particular version comes with Smooth Hands and realistic feet. 

SerenityFall altered the mesh so it would be less high-poly.  It can be found at Garden of Shadows in Reply #16. 

Berrynoobos finally did some bright recolors of this cute nightgown.  Swatch looks like this:

So if you want your little 1980s Sim girls to look a little more authentic, these nightgowns would help :)
