so i haven't actually watcher lucifer! it is on my list, but unfortunately that list is also a mile long :')

and as for commissions, i don't currently offer them for big pieces like the fanart that i regularly post. BUT!! i am offering mini pet commissions for the month of January to help out with my friend @pirateherokillian charity drive in honour of Colin O'donoghue's birthday!

Please practice self care. Please go to counseling if you can. If you can’t afford it, see about low-cost counseling programs in your area or even telehealth options. I know it sounds fake but going to bed on time and eating balanced healthy meals really does improve your mental health.

Coffee or tea: Both, but which I'll reach for depends on the time of day and if there's cream and sugar. I dislike most coffee black and try to avoid caffeine after noon.

currently watching: I've just begun the 2006 Jane Eyre miniseries. I adore Ruth Wilson, so I've been excited to see it. I also watch The Great British Baking Show on a loop, just to relax.

currently reading: Villette by Charlotte Brontë, Jan Stafford's biography of Mozart, and Between Sisters by Kristen Hannah, just for fun.

current obsession: I've been deep into hyperfixation mode with the HBO The Last of Us miniseries since the end of June, with no signs of abatement. It's my best friend's fault.

What was dashcon like?

honestly at first it was just kinda boring / tame because there weren’t many people. i took the bus there from out of state & brought a friend with me. we met some very nice folks (some of them i still talk to today!) and i met up with some online friends who were in the area.

friday night was a shitshow, there’s just nothing fun about being shut into a ballroom and extorted by convention staff. most of the attendees in the ballroom were teens. when the money was being collected i saw a handful of people having panic attacks and in varying levels of distress, it was really overwhelming. a lot of us stuck around after the panic for the dance that had been scheduled in there, which is kinda odd in hindsight but we had a lot of weird energy to burn. i think at that point a lot of us were still unsure to what extent we had been lied to, and hadn’t fully processed how fucked up the night had been.

saturday i mostly wandered the halls and people-watched, my friend and i spent a lot of time looking for food since there wasn’t much to eat. i didn’t go to any panels or see the ball pit. i went to the nightvale show with the friends that i had met up with, they were there with press passes & reporting for the geekiary. i have an extremely brief cameo in the sarah z dashcon video because she used some of their footage lmao. after that, me and my friend took the bus back home so we weren’t there on the last day.
