Comic Book Gem Monsters: UNCORRUPTED :)
Sorry it’s been a minute but I have been drawing a lot lately, I’ve got over 80+ gems drawn out I believe so I might go back to regularly posting! Anyways a little about these lesbians! In my HC these were all Crystal Gems (to make my life easier lol). Pearl for scale on the left!!
1. Sphalerite - fusion of a Citrine, a Nephrite, and a Bixbite. Very tall.
2. Idocrase - fusion of 4 unkown gems, not great at fighting but a pro at hugging.
3. Iridescent Goethite - very large bashful gem with a huge heart. Made to roll out material projectiles for cannons (cannonballs). Would rather roll in the grass.
4. Variscite - quick gem with strong caretaking tendencies. Used to be something like a gem nurse in Homeworld.
5. Jeremejevite - loves digging, in Homeworld she created holes to anchor down large structures to the ground. Now helps humans in construction.
6. Amazonite - originally an organic life biologist, now helps run the local animal shelter. She can also communicate with animals. Very fond of raccoons.
7. Andesine - used to be a scribe for court proceedings, now works as a writer.
8. Realgar - originally used for retrieval missions, now she works as a lifeguard!
9. Bowenite - made to be a historian and philosopher, now works as a gem history teacher.
10. Heulandite - small gem who can make it snow within a radius around her. Originally used to keep artifacts cool in warm colonies.
11. Viridine - incredibly feisty small gem with dashing abilities, her temper has since cooled and now works at the local library!
PNGs posted below!
I hope you enjoy them!
REBLOGS ARE APPRECIATED!!! ;)

Fun fact about the Duo gem, once it latched onto Dagger it attached itself to her spine. She doesn't feel on the Gem itself, but if someone hits it really hard she is bound to get some massive backpain from it.

today i learned that we weebs are responsible for the existence of the .ass file type. #heritage
#花話#i actually learned this yesterday i've just been cracking myself up over the 'hashtag-heritage' thing ever since#.ass is a subtitle file btw!!! they're what make the really pretty ones with the elaborate typesetting and positioning n stuff#i always thought they did that shit by burning the fonts into the video via aftereffects or smth but it turns out#that while you could burn an ass file to a video for hardsubbing you can apparently just. like it's a text file you can use a text editor#and also turn them off when watching your stuff if you wish and god i was so surprised when i realized you could do that#with the pretty subtitles bc when using online streaming the soft subs were usually so ugly#anyway through a series of wacky hijinks i've ended up coding a subtitle file type converter these last few hours#and in looking up the standards for how .srt .ass and .vtt files are formatted i learned this gem#and you know what!!!! it makes soooo much sense#of course we weebs went off and made a file type for elaborate subtitle styling and positioning and timing#the intersection of art and technology in the weeb fan sphere is actually pretty cool!! there's niche ass software for so much shit#bc of the tendency of weebs to be into tech and stuff#in my spelunkinh around the old web i've also found a bunch of old specialized scanlation software from the 2000s!!! that's so cool!!!!#i just use a notes program and photoshop but they were out there in 2004 or so making photo editors that#could not only open up and edit multiple images in sequence you could page through but also load up your translation txt file#and i think also had specialized tools for cleaning text bubbles and stuff#and also obviously correcting scan issues and straightening things out AND THIS IS SO COOL!!!!#like we did that!! that's how things were done before i got into anime!!! back when i was a little kid; before i was even rlly sentient!!!!!

Genuinely need the cosplay community to consider building a home on tumblr. Copyright isn’t as violently strict as YouTube, and being able to talk in the tags and write on reblogs gives a means to interact with people without running into comment character limits.

heyo, a while ago I found a huge long list in I think a pdf or on a webpage of a really large collection of types of programming but I can't find it again no matter how hard I search, I was wondering if you might have a link to something like that? I distinctly remember there being a good chunk about gemstone programming/hierarchy which given some of my triggers and memories I'm heavily beginning to suspect may be key to my system programming so would like to find it again or any resources about it if possible :o Thank you ever so much!!
Here’s what I have for Jewel programming.
Jewels Programming- Children of programmers will go through either metals or jewels programming. Jewels are considered higher than metals. Which program is put in and when, is dependent on the subject’s status, their parent’s status, the location of birth, the group the subject is born into, and the programmers that work with them. Jewel programming is used to reinforce cult or abuse - group commands such as recall Rubies, emeralds and diamonds are considered powerful alters inside and are in leadership roles, both internally and externally. The subject’s sense of identity, and status may be held in these alters. The jewels are used as reward based programming. Training for this program often begins between ages two and three. Each step of obedience is linked to receiving a jewel. To earn the designated jewel the subject must: a.) show sexual adeptness b.) Pass programming tests c.) Be rewarded for special achievement (fighting, survival) d.) be adept at games e.) show heightened intelligence f.) attributes of trauma bonding g.) Show betrayal skills.
Amethyst is usually the first jewel earned, and is linked to keeping secrets, never telling, and passing the first step of obedience.
Ruby sexual alters inside. As the subject is sexually traumatised and survives, or creates sexual alters to please adults, they are rewarded by being allowed to become a ruby.
Moon Stone given to subjects who achieve rank in ritual setting.
Emerald will often come later (ages 12 to 15). This is considered very precious, and is linked to family loyalty, witchcraft, and spiritual achievement.
Morganite Given to child alters who are skilled at their assigned job and hold the body well through training.
Sapphire- Given to subjects when they have mastered not wanting anything, remain quiet when their needs are not met and when they are left alone for extended periods of time. Paraiba
Tourmaline-subject has mastered photographic response and memory.
Blood Stone Given when the subject has terminated another subject, participated in a ritual sacrifice without fear, remorse, or other negative emotions.
Melanite- given to the subject when they have survived a hunt, and found the hunted.
Hackmanite-Subject shows ability to re-enact programming scenarios with minor subjects.
Cat's Eye Aquamarine- Subject completes assigned task and responds to call back.
Diamond is the highest gemstone, and not all children will earn it. It is considered a high achievement that may not be earned until adulthood, after passing rigorous tasks. It will be the controlling alters in a gemstone system. A diamond has passed all twelve steps of discipline, plus passed unusual tests and will have highest family loyalty.
Here’s the Link to this information.
I don’t know where a list of gems could be found on the internet.
Take care,
Oz

Hoboken Historical Museum | Preserving the Soul of a City
Tumblr media
Located along the scenic Hoboken waterfront, the Hoboken Historical Museum is a small but vibrant institution preserving the city's rich industrial, cultural, and immigrant history. It’s a place where the legacy of Hoboken’s shipyards, music icons like Frank Sinatra, and the daily lives of working-class families come alive in fascinating detail.
Whether you’re a history buff, a first-time visitor, or a lifelong resident wanting to know more about your hometown, the Hoboken Historical Museum offers an intimate look at one of New Jersey’s most dynamic cities.
Historical Significance
Founded in 1986, the Hoboken Historical Museum is housed in the former Shipyard Machine Shop, a remnant of Hoboken’s once-thriving maritime industry. Hoboken was a critical port in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, serving as home to Bethlehem Steel's shipbuilding operation, a hub of immigrant labor, and a launching point for U.S. troops in both World Wars.
The museum not only documents the city’s industrial era but also celebrates its contributions to music, transportation, and immigration. Special attention is given to Hoboken’s Italian, Irish, German, and Puerto Rican communities, whose stories form the cultural backbone of the city.
One of the museum’s most beloved features is its Frank Sinatra collection, which highlights the life and career of Hoboken’s most famous son. The museum’s rotating exhibits ensure that each visit offers something new and compelling.
Best Time to Visit
The Hoboken Historical Museum is open year-round, but the best times to visit include:
Spring and Summer (April to September): Combine your museum visit with a walk on the waterfront or time at Pier A Park.
Fall (October–November): Enjoy the crisp air and autumnal charm of Hoboken while exploring indoor exhibits.
During Exhibit Openings or Special Events: The museum frequently hosts panel discussions, film screenings, readings, and neighborhood walking tours that add extra value to your visit.
It’s open from 2 PM to 7 PM on weekdays and 12 PM to 5 PM on weekends, making it easy to fit into an afternoon of exploring the city.
What to Do at the Hoboken Historical Museum
Though compact in size, the museum is packed with engaging displays, interactive programs, and rotating exhibits that make the most of its waterfront location.
1. Explore Permanent and Temporary Exhibits
The museum’s permanent collection includes photographs, artifacts, and written accounts tracing Hoboken's transformation from a Dutch settlement into an industrial powerhouse and, finally, a trendy residential hub. Topics range from shipbuilding and transportation to Hoboken’s impact on pop culture.
Rotating exhibitions explore timely or niche themes like vintage sports teams, urban development, or the immigrant experience.
2. Visit the Frank Sinatra Room
Dedicated to "Ol’ Blue Eyes," the Sinatra exhibit includes rare photos, memorabilia, and music. For fans of the legendary crooner—or music history in general—it’s a must-see.
3. Attend Public Events
The museum regularly hosts storytelling sessions, historical talks, children’s programs, and art exhibits. These events foster a deeper understanding of local culture and often feature residents sharing their personal stories.
4. Walk the Waterfront Afterward
Once you’ve soaked in the history, take a few steps outside for a beautiful walk along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway. From here, you’ll see the NYC skyline and perhaps better understand the context in which Hoboken developed.
5. Support the Gift Shop
The museum’s small shop offers books, vintage maps, locally themed souvenirs, and artwork that reflect Hoboken’s eclectic spirit. It’s a great spot to find thoughtful gifts or keepsakes.
Community Connection
The museum is more than a static exhibition space—it's a living archive of Hoboken's evolving identity. Staffed by passionate locals and volunteers, it serves as an anchor for community memory and intergenerational storytelling.
Its outreach programs engage students, newcomers, and longtime residents alike, fostering a sense of pride and belonging in one of New Jersey’s most historically rich urban communities.
Conclusion
The Hoboken Historical Museum is a hidden gem that punches far above its weight. It’s not only a place to learn about shipbuilding and Sinatra, but also a gateway into the everyday lives of the people who built Hoboken into the vibrant city it is today.
Whether you spend an hour or an entire afternoon there, you’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation of Hoboken's layered past and enduring charm. Pair your visit with a stroll along the river or lunch at a nearby café, and you have the perfect cultural day trip.

morganite's main purpose being DESIGNING THE DIAMONDS PALANQUINS??? just doesnt make sense to me.
it isnt like they get broken all the time. shes mostly useless. and theres only need for one of them. so is there only one morganite???? if that was the case you'd think she'd get more than a ruby and a pearl who keep fusing together.

Can't afford art school?
After seeing post like this 👇
Tumblr media
And this gem 👇
Tumblr media
As well as countless of others from the AI generator community. Just talking about how "inaccessible art" is, I decided why not show how wrong these guys are while also helping anyone who actually wants to learn.
Here is the first one ART TEACHERS! There are plenty online and in places like youtube.
📺Here is my list:
Proko (Free, mostly teaches anatomy and how to draw people. But does have art talks and teaches the basics.)
Marc Brunet (Free but he does have other classes for a cheap price. Use to work for Blizzard and teaches you everything)
Aaron Rutten (free, tips about art, talks about art programs and the best products for digital art)
BoroCG (free, teaches a verity of art mediums from 3D modeling to digital painting. As well as some tips that can be used across styles)
Jesse J. Jones (free, talks about animating)
Jesus Conde (free, teaches digital painting and has classes in Spanish)
Mohammed Agbadi (free, he gives some advice in some videos and talks about art)
Ross Draws (free, he does have other classes for a good price. Mostly teaching character designs and simple backgrounds.)
SamDoesArts (free, gives good advice and critiques)
Drawfee Show (free, they do give some good advice and great inspiration)
The Art of Aaron Blaise ( useful tips for digital art and animation. Was an animator for Disney. Mostly nature art)
Bobby Chiu ( useful tips and interviews with artist who are in the industry or making a living as artist)
Sinix Design (has some tips on drawing people)
Winged canvas (art school for free on a verity of mediums)
Bob Ross (just a good time, learn how to paint, as well as how too relax when doing art. "there are no mistakes only happy accidents", this channel also provides tips from another artist)
Scott Christian Sava (Inspiration and provides tips and advice)
Pikat (art advice and critiques)
Drawbox (a suggested cheap online art school, made of a community of artist)
Skillshare (A cheap learning site that has art classes ranging from traditional to digital. As well as Animation and tutorials on art programs. All under one price, in the USA it's around $34 a month)
Human anatomy for artist (not a video or teacher but the site is full of awesome refs to practice and get better at anatomy)
Second part BOOKS, I have collected some books that have helped me and might help others.
📚Here is my list:
The "how to draw manga" series produced by Graphic-sha. These are for manga artist but they give great advice and information.
"Creating characters with personality" by Tom Bancroft. A great book that can help not just people who draw cartoons but also realistic ones. As it helps you with facial ques and how to make a character interesting.
"Albinus on anatomy" by Robert Beverly Hale and Terence Coyle. Great book to help someone learn basic anatomy.
"Artistic Anatomy" by Dr. Paul Richer and Robert Beverly Hale. A good book if you want to go further in-depth with anatomy.
"Directing the story" by Francis Glebas. A good book if you want to Story board or make comics.
"Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Eliot Goldfinger. A good book for if you want to draw animals or creatures.
"Constructive Anatomy: with almost 500 illustrations" by George B. Bridgman. A great book to help you block out shadows in your figures and see them in a more 3 diamantine way.
"Dynamic Anatomy: Revised and expand" by Burne Hogarth. A book that shows how to block out shapes and easily understand what you are looking out. When it comes to human subjects.
"An Atlas of animal anatomy for artist" by W. Ellenberger and H. Dittrich and H. Baum. This is another good one for people who want to draw animals or creatures.
Etherington Brothers, they make books and have a free blog with art tips.
📝As for Supplies, I recommend starting out cheap, buying Pencils and art paper at dollar tree or 5 below. If you want to go fancy Michaels is always a good place for traditional supplies. They also get in some good sales and discounts. For digital art, I recommend not starting with a screen art drawing tablet as they are usually more expensive.
For the Best art Tablet I recommend either Xp-pen, Bamboo or Huion. Some can range from about 40$ to the thousands.
💻As for art programs here is a list of Free to pay.
Clip Studio paint ( you can choose to pay once or sub and get updates. Galaxy, Windows, macOS, iPad, iPhone, Android, or Chromebook device. )
Procreate ( pay once for $9.99 usd, IPAD & IPHONE ONLY)
Blender (for 3D modules/sculpting, animation and more. Free)
PaintTool SAI (pay but has a 31 day free trail)
Krita (Free)
mypaint (free)
FireAlpaca (free)
Aseprite ($19.99 usd but has a free trail, for pixel art Windows & macOS)
Drawpile (free and for if you want to draw with others)
IbisPaint (free, phone app ONLY)
Medibang (free, IPAD, Android and PC)
NOTE: Some of these can work on almost any computer like Clip and Sai but others will require a bit stronger computer like Blender. Please check their sites for if your computer is compatible.
So do with this information as you will but as you can tell there are ways to learn how to become an artist, without breaking the bank. The only thing that might be stopping YOU from using any of these things, is YOU.
I have made time to learn to draw and many artist have too. Either in-between working two jobs or taking care of your family and a job or regular school and chores. YOU just have to take the time or use some time management, it really doesn't take long to practice for like an hour or less. YOU also don't have to do it every day, just once or three times a week is fine.
Hope this was helpful and have a great day.
"also apologies for any spelling or grammar errors, I have Dyslexia and it makes my brain go XP when it comes to speech or writing"
