So, that was a weird ask. Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled propgramming... ... I’ve seen two posts today about how Mary was impregnated without her consent, and I find it ironic, because usually it’s atheists accusing Christians of being Biblically illiterate - yet it says right there in the text that Mary consented: “May it be done to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38b). I can cite multiple sermons from the first millennium alone that emphasized the importance of Mary’s consent. It’s basically willful and bad faith ignorance at this point. Of course, you could argue that there is a power imbalance - that Mary is a teenage girl talking to the Creator of the universe and was afraid to say no. But I think the dogma of the Immaculate Conception (that Mary was created without Original Sin, cooperated fully with God’s Will, and fully understood His intentions with every step of the way) helps to alleviate that

Databot: Another Lampfish headcannon i will infodump about

As everyone knows, i infodump about my hc for a darker version of boboiboy

This time, databot, the powersphera of archieved knowledge.

This is sort of a hc + possible future oc

Databot used to travel with a partner to archieve that of information, several theories of information, several sides and views of information.

This partner, lets say, is one that has a long lifespan, a tortoise like alien perhaps, i will call him tortuah, because it seems like monsta likes funny joke names

Tortuah is part of the organisation that runs the arc of information, as he was tasked to record information with the assistance of the at the time, newly built powersphera databot.

Tortuah will dress in but a simple manner, he simply looked like any traveller from afar, he was the one to even go into places where political chaos is oxcuring witht he chance of death to record that of information so it wouldnt be forgotten, a brave journalist in a way, he would also share his knowledge to the people in need, sometimes, the information he does know will plague him at night as terrifying nightmares, but he persisted, anything for the archival of information that may be lost to the hands of time, he continued, databot remained like that of an inncoent child, as he wasnt propgrammed to feel overbeared by the knowledge he stored, he is simply, a very big usb with some sentience. He is basically a character based off the "sometimes, knowledge is a curse", eventually, he did come to perish, whej death finally came to take him, ironically, his name and his identity was lost to time, databot too, vanished, as they lost contact with him, until boboiboy found databot in the old arc, his memory nearly full, maybe his system discarded that of the last memories of him and his old friend, as to make room for more important information to record

How did you get a teacher fired?????

Okay, first of all a little background: in my country, a "class" is a unit--30-35 people (in high school; elementary school class sizes are usually smaller) with whom you have most of your classes, go on trips together, etc. In my class, we studied language in small, 8-9 people groups.

In the first year of high school--and this is important for comparison--my English as a foreign language teacher was a 20-something, tall, black-haired, kind woman, whom we loved. But she got a job in Spain for a year, so she left us.

The teacher we got after her was in her 50s, short, blonde, full of rage. Legit Napoleon complex. It didn't help matters that her surname was Dobi (we did joke a lot amongst each other about what she'd do if we gave her a pair of socks). It beautifully illustrates her temperament that one time a female classmate of mine complimented her hair and asked if she'd been to the hairdresser's, and she gave the whole class a five minutes long lecture on how we dare asking her such personal questions.

She wasn't just an unkind person, but a negligent teacher, too. Look, I was really good at English. Like, while my classmates were struggling with Present Perfect and putting together a grammatically correct sentence, I was reading novels in English (to Dobi's credit, at least she left me to my own devices. She realized there was no point in trying to teach me alongside my classmates, so while they were busy with the actual textbook material, I think I spent that year translating one of the Vampire Academy books). One day, at the end of the class she said that there was going to be some big English competition, two rounds, and in-house one, and the the best go to a country-wide round. I said right away that I wanted to do it. Somewhat dismissively, she said okay, and then was silent about the contest for weeks. No info, not even that she had me signed up for it. Then one day, when they were doing the daily announcements through the intercom, I heard that there was going to be an English competition the NEXT DAY. I went to Dobi right away, and asked if this competiton is the one I wanted her to sign me up for? Oh, yeah, it's that one, but she forgot to sign me up. But another student who got signed up got sick, so I can go in her place.

I did. I won the in-house round. I went to the national competiton (I dodn't remember how well I did there). She never said another word about it, she did not coach me, she did not escort me to the national round.

But this wasn't the case that I belive got her fired in the end.

So, as I said, there were several foreign languge groups in my class (two English, two German, precisely). One day we were waiting for a class to start, when the girl sitting next to me, who belonged to the other English group, asks me, "Hey, O, when is that English languge play we are seeing?"

And I just blinked at her, because I had no idea what she was talking about. Turned out there was going to be an English language play, and the teacher of the other English group was taking all of her students to see it (free of charge), but my friend didn't know what it was or when it was going to be. Well, I wanted to see it too, so I went to Dobi to have it sorted out.

She was really miffed that I dared to ask about it, and started stuttering that yeah, there was going to be a play, but it's a play that is difficult to understand, not because of the language, but the message (the was The Picture of Dorian Grey, btw, as it eventually turned out). "But," I said, "the whole other group is going." (Meaning it can't be that difficult if other teachers think it's okay for their students to see it.) I think I'll forever remember what she said then. She looked (up) into my eyes (she barely reached my shoulders) and said: "I didn't think we were advertising this propgram for people who don't even have the chance of understanding it."

That was the moment when I went to my "homeroom teacher" (she wasn't exactly, but that's maybe the closes term to what she was) and told her I wanted to be placed in the other English group because of the behavior of the teacher. She understood, but said that I should wait a couple of weeks, see how things turn out.

This is, of course, not the end of the story.

At the time, I was living in a dormitory about five minutes from school. The dorm had a well-eqipped computer room right on my floor, and even some teachers from my school went there the teach classes. Dobi too. The same day this altercation happened, I was walking up from lunch with my friends right when she was coming down. She saw me, and literally spat in my direction "Alright, we'll get you a seat in the [can't translate it, "the place where the roosters sit", meaning in the very back]!" And she stomped away. I guess my homeroom teacher had a talk with her. Mind you I still didn't know 1, what play was going to be performed 2, when it was going to be and 3, where it was going to be. Neither of these information was ever offered by Dobi, btw.

A couple of weeks later my homeroom teacher pulled my aside between classes--she rightly guessed that Dobi was not passing me any relevant info, so she told me that I was on the list of the students going to the play, and that it was to be perfromed on X day. Problem is I was in drama club at the time, and we also had a performance on the very same day, the very same time. I told this my homeroom teacher, she understood.

The same day, or the day after that, I don't remember, I ran into Dobi at the dorm again. The dorm also had teachers to mind us and to run clubs, tutoring sessions, etc. One of the teacher on my floor was an English (as a foreign language teacher), a lovely old-ish lady. At the time, I was writing a short story in English for a competiton, and I was in the teachers' office with her, going over my text when Dobi came in to hand in the key for the IT room. She saw me, and that I was with another teacher, and I don't remember what she said exactly, but she talked to me like I was five--about how the play was going to be in a couple of days, and I know that, right? And I'll be there, right? After all the work she did, right? All this, very specifically, to embarass me in front of another teacher.

Well, I told her I wasn't going, because I had a performance that very same day.

"And didn't you know about that two weeks ago?"

And I almost told you that fuck you, I knew about my performance, but I didn't know anything about the play you supposedly organized.

Anyway, I informed my homeroom teacher about all of Dobi's misconduct and behavior, and, surprisingly, her contract was not renewed for the next school year. Not only that, she basically disappeared. She didn't even come for our last class, but, like, without giving a notice about it, or having the school arrange a subsitute for her. We were literally left to our own devices for that last class, with no teacher to supervise us.

I'm totally sure that my report on her misconduct led to her being fired, and I'm not sorry about it the slightest.

TL;DR: Teacher was an asshole to me, I reported her, and she got fired.

Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway Anime Film's Cast Expands Ahead of May 7th Premiere

  The official web portal for the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise in Gundam.info has officially unveiled 8 additional cast members taking part in the forthcoming Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway's Flash anime film set for a May 7th premiere in Japan. Gundam.info also unveiled a new series of preview screenshots for the film as well as announcing a new special propgram for YouTube titled "Hathaway's Report -Flash of Hathaway's Guide-" where cast members will meet to discuss the film from differing perspectives, which will begin on February 21st, on the official Gundam.info YouTube channel.   Hathaway's Flash was written by Tomino, one of the original creators of the first Mobile Suit Gundam TV anime who served as director, as a sequel to his 1988 novel Mobile Suit Gundam Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika Children (based on his rejected first draft for the 1988 film Mobile Suit Gundam Char's Counterattack), and published for three volumes from Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko from 1989 to 1990.
