TSSM Otto and PS4 Otto take Raimi Otto's fashion advice...and neither are exactly feeling it. The shirtless look brings out TSSM Otto's insecurity while PS4 Otto is simply unamused. But hey, as for Raimi Otto, at least his arms support their father's bold fashion sense! (As do I)

These are my favorite Doc Ocks, so I wanted to do a crossover with them. Would like to draw more of them when I have the time~

the tragedy of ps4 doc ock

i know a lot of people wanted alfred molina as doc ock in the ps4 game, and obviously that wouldnt work for universe and timeline reasons, but also because of how different their portrayals are. and i personally think ps4 doc ock is so much more raw and tragic than raimi’s

in spiderman 2, otto is kinda this. smooth talking attractive scientist. he has a wife and he’s got a reputable experiment with gracious funding. it all goes wrong and the whole plot is just. he wants to do it again LMFAO. and you could argue his evilness is strongly or solely the fault of the arms, which are now sentient. and he redeems himself in the end

but in ps4 spiderman… oh boy. otto is knocked down a peg. he only has peter, who is really flimsy, his funding isnt reliable at best and bare at worst, and norman keeps fucking him over, so his attempts to really try and improve society are washed away by corporate greed, and finally, he’s struggling physically (probably due to the devils breath experiments) while norman is completely fine

ps4 otto’s actions dont come just out of revenge, but pure desperation. he wants to be something; he has always felt like he didnt get any credit for his greatness and, arguably, that he’s better than others

he is trying to hold onto what little semblance of health he has, hence the arms helping him and how he was scared of losing them

this otto cannot be redeemed easily or even at all. his jealousy, his thirst for revenge, his selfishness doomed and killed so many, including aunt may, peters last living family. but the absolute final nail is that OTTO KNEW PETER WAS SPIDERMAN, this kid he called a son, and he STILL kept trying to kill and hurt him. and you could say it was the fault of the arms and truthfully it slightly was, but even mj said that it was likely how he was feeling the whole time

so yeah. this otto is tragic but also truly evil. alfred molina as this doc ock just wouldnt work with how different the portrayals are. also will saylers did a fucking AMAZING job. he did not absolutely body doc ocks portrayal of a sad and angrily desperate man just for people to say “it should have been alfred molina”
