Some questions:

I understand a blank retweet is the same as a blank reblog. What would be the equivalant of putting something in the tags? Replies? Also, are there two types of commentary you can leave on posts or is it the same thing (replies and quote retweets - what is the distinction? Is one the twitter version of in the tags and the other adding onto the post as on tumblr?)

I know you can click the comment button and leave a reply to a post. Is it taboo to do that to strangers posts, only for mutuals, or is it totally fine and encouraged for everyone?Also, what is a quote retweet and in which situations do you do this instead of replying (or reply istead of qrt, depending on which one a person does more)

One morning, he wakes to find Bart already up. Unexpected; they don’t really have a set schedule, but Ryley’s usually the early riser out of the two. Tentatively heading out the door, he’s greeted with the smell of what seems to be food, and he pokes his head into the kitchen to see Bart standing at the counter, presumably cooking something. “Morning. What are you making?” Ryley goes up to his friend, trying to see the food in question. “Hey, don’t do that. You’ll get sprayed in the face with creepvine oil, which I can say, from personal experience, sucks. And I’m cooking Chinese potatoes.” He catches Ryley’s confused look. “I was hungry, and it tastes better than fabricated food anyway.” Ryley nods. “Ugh, yeah. How’d you learn to cook? We don’t really learn how in Alterra space, but I do know some stuff. I’m not very good at it, though.” “Why am I not surprised Alterra didn’t teach you. To answer your question, I mostly taught myself. Pretty sure I’d have gone insane if the fabricator was all I had, though I do remember having some classes that involved simple recipes. Luckily, sticking things in a pan and putting it on a stove doesn’t take that much knowledge.” “Speak for yourself. I set nachos on fire once.” Bart looks at him in consternation, “Those are like… the easiest things to cook. You put the ingredients in a pan and you melt the cheese on them, how did you-“  “Forgot they were cooking. There was also the time I set candy on fire. I was trying to melt them in the microwave and I accidentally left the fork in the bowl,” Ryley says, laughing at the memory.  “I should never let you cook, understandable.” While they were talking, the potatoes have begun to smoke dangerously. Bart grabs the pan off the stove and places it on the counter. “Shit- oh, good. Not that burned.” “Who was talking about not letting me cook again?” The tease makes the other man smile a bit before rolling his eyes. “They aren’t on fire, are they?”

(i love the Subnautica boys so much. Btw the nacho story was true, i did that when I was like 11-12. same with the candy, but that was my friend and her brother’s fault.)

if kuroo could say one thing about himself, it was that he was absolutely horrendous at following the rules he had set for himself.

anytime he even tried, he either did what he told himself not to do — like staying up late to memorize the polyatomic ions and their charges (when they didn’t need to be memorized quite yet), or even doing a bit more volleyball practice just because he wanted to.

in hindset, it didn’t surprise him that he had just committed the rule that he had set for himself to follow under ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.

he was in love with you — his best friend.

“you’re drifting out tetsu,” you laughed, flicking his forehead playfully, “what are you thinking about.”

“love is weird,” he blurted out, secretly proud of himself because he didn’t admit that he was actually thinking about you. “don’t you think?”

internally, you suppressed the exasperated sigh that threatened to slip when his hand did brush your own, the one that seemed to scream ‘you idiot, don’t you see how much i love you?’

but you both didn’t say anything right then — simply content to feel each other’s presence by your side. that was enough for now.

before you had even realized, the morning light had began to seep through the curtains, illuminating kuroo’s face in the handsome way you’d come to appreciate.

I WOULD LOVE TO TELL U ABT KEM AND HIS BF

So!! Kem is a ferryman as ive probably mentioned. This means he travels a lot to various places that his passengers need to go, and his little boat is the best way across the deadly monster filled swamp. Its like australia but worse sometimes and also soggy.

Hask, his boyfriend, usually also travels! Often by Kem's boat. He sells a bunch of funky face masks. also fun fact he can't close his mouth or at least he's never been seen doing it. he can smile and frown but his teeth will always b visible in some way. its a bit unnerving /hj

as for what kind of tumblrs theyd have. Kem would be the pastels (mostly green) and post pictures of frogs and also scarves. Hask? Good question but i thknk he'd have a rly edgy looking tumblr
