The noise was heartbreaking, low and painful as it tore right through her. This massive, miserable creature that she loved so dearly. The not answer spoke loud enough. It was another something they didn't talk about and rather then pressing, she conceded.

A small smile stole onto her face as the Guardian strained to nuzzle against her face and a spark shot down her spine as he pressed a semblance of lips he could pulltogether just long enough for an act of affection and she sighed, digging her hand into the scruff that grew around his neck, closing her eyes against the soft pressure, but she didn't say anything about his suggestion, simply pulling herself away as she walked towards the spring.

Natasha pushed off the sneakers she was wearing and left her socks somewhere near them, then folded up her pants crouching on the edge of the spring. Whisps of vapor whafted upwards and it smelled faintly of stone and coal and copper, minerals. She sat, dipping her legs into the spring, head turning to find the miserable creature. "Join me." She invited, hand outstretched in his direction.

"Oh stop throwing a tantrum." Natasha told the creature as spines and tantacles stayed on edge, building himself up to seem threatening. He was intimidating enough as is, but the Widow had seen her fair share of terrors and despite better judgement, she was not afraid of him. But her words seemed to fall on deaf ears.

The Guardian kept talking, lamenting, griefing the life he was denied. He was all the pieces, all the monsters the wanderer wanted to leave behind. THe things he'd absorbed, their memories, their instincts hodgepodged with shreds of broken humanity. He expanded, features and extrimeties twisting as it krepts over the warm sand, closer and closer.

Fire exploded out of his mouth, Natasha jumped backwards, her instincts taking over, movement and muscle memories from years of training, ever since she'd been a child. Ever since she'd been made into a monster.

"Stephen..." Her voice was soft and she wished she could take this pain from him, this was what he had become and nothing she could say would ever be enough.

Her hand met the tentacla half way, taking a few steps toward him, catching his face, the muzle and not so human part alike. "Are you tired of existing?" She asked, her voice solemn and sober, but attentive and warm. Yes, he'd scared her, but she knew what it felt like to be unwanted. But they where two halves of a whole, the wanderer and the guardian. They would need to talk this out.
