Im sorry to vent but I’m up to date with hold on and I’m so…mad?

Im definitely biased but I don’t careeee 😫😫 they all did dannyboi DIRTY, he got the short end of the stick, he got massively screwed over BY everyone, even life omg

First of all, I have the biggest fattest bone to pick with Ezra, I’m sure he’ll redeem himself in the future but oh god did he make everything worse. Like bro shut up! Some things robin said I also found unfair but I would NEVER told them to shut up. I love Robin!

I can talk a lot about the painful timeline. Star was thriving while Daniel was literally being tortured. It was beautiful done. Star deserved to heal and to find love to live as a free man. I was (still am) rooting for him.

But omg when Daniel escaped everything went to shit. I don’t understand why no one just fxcking stopped for a second and said yooo dannyboi is a bit off let’s not TRIGGER HIM… but they all triggered him like it was a sport!!!

Everyone was so understanding with Star when he was being a creep because well of course he was going to be a bit off with boundaries and consent because he was living as a pet for years (maybe months im not sure hehe) like it made sense!!! But when dannyboi comes beat up, probably skinny as hell and visibly traumatized they’re like yo don’t be a baby star decided to move on 😜 it’s his choice relaaaaax 😋😋 you didn’t come back LOSER 😎😜 what did you expect?!! 😚😚

this is a fantastic rant! Your love for Daniel through everything is fantastic and it's so much fun to get the updates at where you are at!

Of course, I can't take sides in the whole thing, because they are all my favorites and I love them all to death, but yeah, Daniel's been having some trouble. Same with Star. Really, they're all just going through it. Daniel deserves to have all the hugs and get back together with Star. A huge part of it will be them learning how to have a healthy relationship that isn't built on their training, but they have to get there first down a really really long road The fight will hopefully break down walls and allow for people to start having honest conversations, which is good for Daniel! So he can talk things out with everyone, especially with Star. But happiness is the endgame!

Clone’s Best Friend

“Uh,” blinks Kon. "Are you asking what breed Superdog is?"

“Uh, duh?”

Well. She’ll have to forgive him his stunned expression, ‘cause he doesn’t usually run into other dog walkers on this path. This is, of course, because “path” is used in the loosest sense, the one that connotates direction and not tread ground, and the “walk” bit is entirely inapplicable, with all of them currently flying one thousand feet above sea level.

“Cujo’s a rescue,” she continues, swinging her feet in the sky, “so we don’t know for sure, but my sister thinks part husky, part shar pei. Half-and-half, like me!”

Cujo is also, apparently, half green and half glowing. He wiggles happily in a play-bow. It’s very cute, except for the way he’s the size of a small house.

Krypto’s tough, though. He barks and chases his new friend through cloud cover. Gamely, Cujo flees. They frolic in the chilly condensation, occasionally poking a head out before diving back in, like a fox in a snowdrift.

Neither of them see anything surprising about this. It’s all good fun. And, well. Krypto’s always been a good judge of character.

Kon turns back to the girl and gives her a megawatt smile.

“He’s Kryptonian. Like me. But he looks like a white lab!”

My favorite snack for writing is popcorn! A little salty to help feed the brain ;) ((although actually, my favorite popcorn is Cretor's honey butter flavor. Salty AND sweet, since I have a really bad sweet tooth 😂))

Most challenging part of all of my Wips is sustaining momentum. Poor Crow knows, but I'll get stuck on things and make them read stuff over and comment. I crave validation, and having outside perspectives helps me generate more ideas/not get stuck in my own head.

The best writing advice I've ever received was from one of my favorite professors in college. "Write now, correct later." Especially when writing fiction/fantasy. This was just before I found out I was Autistic, but I think it's good general advice. Basically the idea is: if you have the momentum/drive to write, follow it through. You can go back over and research/nit-pick/correct stuff later. Don't stop yourself in the middle unless you absolutely have to.

I was used to scary mean Star in SoS but as I was reading Hold On he seemed to be like the most submissive little guy ever but oh man I reached the part where they escaped and mr. Star destroyed dannyboi… you write them so well AHHH… the same with Daniel, I didn’t find him particularly dominant in Hold On but he was definitely the more dominant of the two (IMO), playing the good boy part when it was needed and that’s it…but oh man, my boy is getting slapped and he’s like yummm 🥵

I don’t make sense when I’m excited but yeah I just wanted to praise your OC and writing skillssss 🥸 imma keep reading

oh my gosh, you have no idea how hard I've been laughing and I love this. I love your description of Star and Daniel so much! Yeeeeeeah, there is a difference between SoS Star and his character in Hold On, but there is some areas where they do end up overlapping. He can be a surprising goof at times. Love him and Daniel to death though and I'm so glad you've been enjoying the story! Thank you so much for your kind words and love of the characters!
