huh. everything can be changed by trust, but it looks like people only really had the concept that Trust Value forges heroes 5 years before the Commission was formed... meaning the Trust System has only been around for 40-50 years. Aside from creating heroes, some people can also become geniuses in their fields thanks to Trust Value—these geniuses heavily contributed in the areas of AI, materials, energy conversion and bioscience.
Also we already got a hint of this in the PVs, but it's heavily implied the Hero Association Commission made Hero Tower to better control and monitor them. The higher the ranking, the higher the living space; if one manages to unseat a higher ranking hero and replace them in rankings, they will move into the corresponding floor.
Heroes immediately move when there's a change in rankings, which might explain why Nice's room was so bare—if you can get kicked out of your floor whenever your rankings change, you're probably not inclined to keep lots of knickknacks or furniture in your living space either.

T/N: I think this date does a good job with world-building. I just want to add something mentioned in the PV song lyrics and other guys’ dates. There's this thing called Iris Device, which is a lens implanted in everyone’s eye at the age of seven. It's directly linked to a multidimensional scoring system that monitors what you see and tracks your vitals as part of deciding your score. I guess it’s similar to those sci-fi contact lenses? Anyway, yea that’s all for now-
I really recommend y'all to read previous dates from this year (like Sinking and Floating in Indulgence MQ and Dawn Date) Not much reason other than I find this reoccurrence of this guy being imprisoned is amusing tho the previous date seem to ease on the idea of them being lunatics (affectionately).
Also like Dawn Date, I'd appreciate not giving heavy spoilers for this date to other people that hasn't read the date bc the plot twist is part of the fun :D

Almost simultaneously, my lens also flickers slightly.
I slow my steps, raise a hand, and tap the corner of my frame. In the next second, a fluorescent admin interface spreads out across the lens's view.
A very small prompt box appears at the top of the layered notification bar: "Execution in two hours."
I glance at the time and pick up my pace a little.
All criminals held in this prison must undergo bi-monthly systematic scoring to quantify the degree of ‘repentance’.
If their scores show no increase for three consecutive times, they are deemed ‘incorrigible’.
The prison will then administer punishment by erasing the criminal's key memories and reshaping a sound personality through visual education.
And as medical staff, carrying out this punishment is the core part of my work beyond daily treatments.
It's just that recently, the criminals have been relatively well-behaved, and for months, this is the first time I’ve received an execution notice.
I wonder what kind of heinous, unrepentant person I will deal with this time...
Thinking about the tedious procedures ahead, I can’t help but sigh softly and helplessly close the interface before me.
After clearing identity verification at the gate to the high-risk area, I continue down the corridor.

Yet the corners of his lips hold a hint of a relaxed smile, as if he is not heading toward the depths of the prison, but rather toward a sunlit garden.
On the contrary, the guards look tense as if facing a lethal enemy.

Upon seeing me, a glint of surprise seems to flash through those dark eyes. Lucien takes the initiative to stop walking, coming to a halt just an arm’s length away from me.
Lucien: [smiles] At this hour, why isn't Miss Section Chief resting in the office area?

MC: Perhaps you should know better why you didn’t cherish your opportunities.*
MC: Not only will you have your memories erased, but you’re also ‘dragging’ me into working overtime.
Lucien helplessly spreads out his hands, the restraints on his wrists glaringly conspicuous.

My tone carries faint arrogance. The guard pauses briefly, his expression shifting almost imperceptibly before traces of respect surface.
Guard: ...As expected of the prison’s youngest medical section chief.
Guard: A criminal who is this dangerous still needs your direct intervention to command control.
MC: Aren't you going to escort Number 0525 back? You've already wasted quite a bit of time.
I ignore the gaze trailing me and speak up to remind them. The guards nod, turning to sternly urge Lucien.
He lowers his eyes obediently and moves at a leisurely pace. I also withdraw my gaze and continue walking toward the office area.
The metallic scrape of shackles intermingles with the click-clack staccato of high heels. In the fleeting moment we pass each other, the periphery of my vision suddenly plunges into shadow.

Lucien suddenly leans in close, his whisper—accompanied by the warmth of his breath— brushing just near yet distant against my ear.
Lucien: [whispers] I've been waiting for this day for a long time.
Lucien: Let me see what you've learned in this place.
Guard: Number 0525!!
The chain around Lucien’s neck jerks taut. I take half a step back and coldly spit out a word.

I find it neat that while Lucien affectionately calls her 小疯子 (xiǎo fēngzi – little lunatic) in Dawn Date, here it’s her turn to call him 疯子 😆
*: The phrase “这恐怕要问你” (lit. “I’m afraid I have to ask you”) before “why you didn’t cherish your opportunities?” is translated here as “Perhaps you should know better” to retain its implied rhetorical blame. It’s like, why did he ask why MC is here instead of resting when it’s his fault that she’s working overtime LOL. He should know better, the reason why he’s so unrepentant despite his opportunities, which eventually leads to his ‘execution’ and her working overtime.

From time to time, young men and women cheered as they tossed their graduation caps into the sky, adjusting their robots to capture this beautiful scene.
Although technology has undergone tremendous changes, the graduation ceremony at Mainland University still adheres to the old-time celebration traditions from a century ago.
I was gazing listlessly at the scene outside the window when I heard someone behind me speaking in a gentle voice.

Lucien: The work one pursues should be considered from many dimensions, including interests, development, and many more.
Lucien: Score is merely a number, not the sole decision criterion.
My actions faltered briefly as I let out a soft "Hm?"

Perhaps having waited too long and grown a bit bored, most of his body now leans against the seat. The collar of his prison uniform is slightly open, displaying a sense of relaxation that seems somewhat out of place.
Lucien: You’re finally here.

Lucien: I was just worried you might have changed your mind and didn't want to meet me.
MC: [coldly] It's my duty, of course I wouldn't hand it over to someone else.
Lucien: So, MC came to see me only because of work?
I ignore the familiarity in his tone and calmly proceed to draw the drug.
The vital-signs monitor clamped around his neck displays his real-time pulse. It’s now unexpectedly a few beats faster than when I first entered.*
Could this person even be nervous?
Seeing my silence, those dark eyes shift to the injection in my hand, a flicker of curious interest flashing through them.
Lucien: So the memory-erasing execution is carried out through injection? How does it avoid neural damage, then?
MC: The injection contains nanobots that will act according to the program... Never mind.
MC: No matter how much I explain, you’ll forget it all soon anyway.
MC: Stay still. Disinfecting now.
The person before me sighs, a hint of innocence surfacing in the depths of his eyes.

The clear liquid is pushed into his neck bit by bit. Holding my breath, I can almost feel the warmth of his exhale brushing against my ear.
Lucien: [whispers] I’ve taught you.
Lucien: [x2] Hesitation is the emotion most likely to lead to failure.
Along with his words, the final drop of the drug disappears from the syringe.
The drug takes effect faster than expected. Almost immediately, a faint weariness clouds those eyes that reflect my face like still water.**
As if unable to bear the weight of his own head, Lucien’s neck tilts back against the chair, baring a fragile curve to the air.
I count down silently in my heart. Before I even reach five, his eyes slowly drift shut, and the hand entwined with mine falls away.
Amid the ticking of the instruments, I can faintly hear his breathing grow deeper. I slip free from Lucien’s palm, hovering momentarily before letting my hand gently stroke his hair.
Cold, soft... If the moonlight could be touched, it would probably feel like this.
I stoop a little, speaking in a quiet murmur.

MC: But even if the experiment fails, I have a backup plan.
MC: This is the most precious lesson you’ve taught me.

While in prison, MC uses the regular “you” 你 (nǐ), but in the flashback, MC uses 您 (nín), the formal and respectful version of 你, to address Lucien. This is important as it carries nuance that becomes significant later~ 
*: With his heartbeat hardly changing when the execution does happen, I think his heartbeat got noticeably quicker simply because of her presence🥺. After all, she’s the only one who can make him ‘out of control’.
**: There’s no explicit mention of still in the original,  BUT the writer uses "倒映" to describe how his eyes reflect her. This word particularly refers to how things are reflected in a body of water (like the surface of a lake, a pool, etc)… so I try to keep that nuance by adding still water here even if it wasn’t explicitly mentioned~ (p.s. later down the line, the writer keeps using this word, and I've run out of ideas on how to tl it variably... well, just keep in mind that every time this date says reflected/mirrored, the writer is using the same word)

[Paraview AU] PVS-07 (Qwerty)

Discovery
PVS-07 was discovered in the library of a high school in Atlantic City, New Jersey, after a group of students, who shall remain anonymous, encountered the entity. One afternoon in the library, the group of students attempted to download adult material onto the device. This had set off the entity, who suddenly appeared on the screen and responded with “Don't you have BETTER things to do?!” This frightened the teens, as this proved that she was, in fact, sentient. The incident was reported to library staff by the teens, who in turn, reported it to the Paraview Foundation. 
The computer PVS-07 resides in was relocated to the facility. Upon questioning by investigators, the library staff noted that her computer was the only one capable of downloading those kinds of images while connected to the school's system, and that the downloading of explicit material was not an isolated incident. 
At the end of her Icebreaker Interview, the subject requested that any and all explicit material was to be deleted off her system. This request was granted, with fervor. Dr. Packard was brought in to get rid of the images, and has now been assigned as PVS-07’s researcher henceforth.
"So. Much. PORN...! How horny WERE those students?!” - Dr. Packard
Noted Behavior and Abilities
- PVS-07’s physical hardware consists of an electric blue CRT computer monitor and its accompanying console. These are to be plugged in at all times with the exception of cases where she needs to be relocated to another area of the facility. PVS-07 is normally located in the Rec Room of the facility, but shall be brought in to Dr. Packard’s office for testing purposes.
- PVS-07, as noted in her discovery section, has a strong disdain and aversion to explicit material that’s downloaded or browsed on her system. The normally jovial and polite subject becomes noticeably frustrated upon this activity. She has also expressed annoyance toward a song about the subject from the musical Avenue Q. As such, SafeSearch and filters have been implemented. Staff or subjects that are caught doing these kinds of activities with the subject are to be properly reprimanded.
- The subject behaves similar to that of a virtual assistant, being able to interact with and manipulate the programs on the computer such as the email, calendar, to-do lists, documents, etc. 
- The subject has been shown to use emoticons displayed on her screen, and the screen of her computer, to express her emotions. 
- The subject has also been able to view and with games, music, literature, and other things downloaded onto the computer. PVS-07 has also been noted to frequently request things to be downloaded for her, likely for entertainment purposes. Dr. Packard has been seen bringing in new games from their home to download onto the subject’s system. 
- Dr. Packard has been instructed that the games and media on her system shall only be those considered “family friendly”, and to leave the more “mature” games at home. This restriction was implemented after Dr. Packard brought in their copy of Duke Nukem 3D, which, upon PVS-07 seeing the objectionable and risque content present within the game, was very displeased. This restriction shall also apply to the rest of Staff and subjects. 
- Subjects such as PVS-13 (“August”), PVS-29 (“Finn”), PVS-46 (“Zester”), are to be at least 6 feet away from PVS-07’s computer. Due to risk of short-circuiting, causing seizure-like symptoms in the subject. 
- PVS-07 has developed a close relationship with PVS-05 (“Vee”), despite not being biological related, they have come to see each other as siblings. PVS-07 especially considers PVS-05 a “kindred spirit”. 
-In the case of a blackout or emergency shutdown, the flash drive in the console shall be removed and transferred over to a laptop. The flash drive was implemented to preserve the subject’s existence in case of these events. 
-After an incident where PVS-07 became infected with a computer virus, anti-virus software has since been implemented into her system. Staff and Subjects were also given a lecture in the auditorium to teach/remind them of computer safety in order to prevent future incidents both to the subject’s computer and the rest of the computers in the facility.

On December 13 of this year, the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam) approved an amendment to Article 7 of Law 7.127/2024, which originally prohibited the reproduction of “content that portrays children associated with homosexuality in digital media, television, and cultural or artistic presentations.” The second vote occurred after pressure from activists, who submitted complaints to both the Amazonas State Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP-AM) and the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPF).
The author of the original proposal is state representative Carlinhos Bessa (PV-AM). Speaking to CENARIUM, Bessa stated that the inclusion of the term “homosexuality” in the law had “slipped through unnoticed” and affirmed his support for the LGBTQIA+ community in Aleam. The representative also authored the new bill to amend the existing law.
The original text, which included the word “homosexuality,” was filed in the Legislative Process Support System (SAPL) on February 7, 2023, and took 533 days to be approved in the House plenary on August 13, 2024. Before reaching the plenary, the bill underwent review by committees such as the Constitution, Justice, and Citizenship Committee (CCJ), which is responsible for assessing the constitutionality of parliamentary proposals.
Defending the original proposal, the representative claimed—without presenting data—“that in the case of children, the State is often called upon to intervene, through the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which monitors cases where minors are either active or passive subjects.”

Shidou’s outfit was even more painfully Dad before the group helped tone it down. Before the mv color scheme was decided, they cycle through a few different colored marching band uniforms for Amane. Muu doesn’t quite understand the flower dress, but the team promises her it will all come together to look great.

And waait I'm so emotional over Kazui loosening up and having a bit of fun with his tricks :’D With all the themes about certain characters growing up faster than they should, it would be so lovely to see them giggling and messing around in a blooper reel! I’m imagining someone trying to twirl Amane’s baton as well as her and epically failing at it.
Yeah, I have a lot of different predictions for Amane’s t3 changes – but no matter what happens, she starts accepting help just a little bit more behind the scenes >:) It’ll still take her a really long time to break away from the cult’s beliefs (no one in the cast/team really knows proper cult deprogramming strategies at this point, but they start looking into it as soon as the experiments ends.) Still, she finds a balance of keeping most of her religion and also realizing that the others genuinely care for her. 
And oooh I really like that 👀 I always pictured the prisoner Es hints to be leading toward them being a prisoner in the future (accused of executing prisoners), but that would add so much more drama if it relates to a past imprisonment. The ten would make a perfect heist team, hacking the system, snooping around, and charming facility members in order to find paperwork detailing past experiments featuring Es. And Kotoko would certainly be leading the investigation – I love how closely she’s monitoring everything, it would fit so well if she were the one to see the truth first. Between the realization that Milgram hasn’t been fully honest, and the threat that Es may be there for even longer, the jailbreak would erupt much quicker than the current timeline. Although the au is nicer overall, I really like keeping Milgram a pretty shady organization hehe

picked up this Panasonic PV-DF2035 for $50 the other day @_@ ... they go online for upwards of $200 on Ebay and other reselling sites. i drove 4 hours to get it and it was worth it for sure!!! its got a built in dvd/vhs player and both work flawlessly, the screen looks great too. theres a little bit of wear and some surface scratches on the casing but thats to be expected for a tv from (i think) 2004/5. it didn't come with a remote but i ordered a replacement already and it should be here by next week.
it's been on my list for years to get an old CRT and set up my wii and eventually replace my n64, so it feels nice to finally have part of it done. i know its just nostalgia bait that retro gamers want CRTs and other ols monitors for older systems rather than emulating on new hardware, but i really am so excited that i got such a good deal.
