sophie should have been a pyrokinetic!!!!!! and i will die on this hill because what do you mean we could have had an arc where the black swan begin to reject her, and grady and edaline grow more distant because of their complicated relationship with fire, and all of sophie’s friends start to fear her after she loses control, and the council threaten another ability restrictor. and then maybe she goes a bit dark and is contacted by the neverseen again, but she’s in such a bad place that they manage to manipulate her and get her on their side and she runs away with them (and then she find out they were the ones who made her a pyrokinetic and maybe she was their experiment the whole time and the black swan stole her and covered it up and maybe she wasn’t the only moonlark???)

Well someone managed to push his buttons

A little different from the Moon one, which was mostly shadow, but I still think it turned out pretty neat. If anything, it was good practice as drawing fire (though I compensated with a fire brush I had to make the contrast higher) and honestly, I'm living for the scarf fluttering.

Fintan is probably laughing at the Council for thinking they have him imprisoned just because he's surrounded by ice. Let me remind you that it was also very cold at his mind healing, so cold that his tears were frozen. And yet he burned everything down from, what, body heat? The trail of warmth in a telepath's mind?

No, the Council isn't keeping Fintan restrained. Fintan won't stay in that prison one minute longer than Fintan wants to stay there.

In which Billy comes back from the dead with a few new tricks up his sleeve and a few less bottles of hair spray

I'm finally done with Cordelia's portrait, so I can finally go play her.

At last I can take all the best companions that I was saving for her playthrough (best companions being: Regill, Daeran, Woljif)

For reference, Cordelia is: Div-born tiefling (Spitespawn), I imagine here specifically Pairaka, hence the horns and the tail Psychokineticist (fire) Chaotic Evil (more or less) in PF terms, Black&Red in MTG. (More black, than red)

Lia is going to be a Trickster once I get there, but in her case it would be a sort of (pretty unhealthy) coping mechanism rather than genuine desire to treat everything as a joke. We'll see if I manage to steer a Trickster's story into drama or if it will become a comedy no matter what. Wish me luck?

PYRO-TALENT

On March 14, 1990, in Pennsylvania, Joseph Nuzum underwent testing of his psychokinesis and pyrogenesis abilities. Dr. B. E. Schwarz, who documented the examinations, discovered that Joe could melt the insulated wires inside his new nine-volt radio without being anywhere near it. Even as a child, Joe could cause papers and ice cubes to spontaneously ignite; he could hold molten metal and extinguish cigarettes telepathically.

Other feats Joe was credited with are:

* telepathically turning on light bulbs from a distance;

* focusing on a cardboard safety match, which suddenly flew off a countertop, and then minutes later smelling smoke from a nearby paper bag that had caught fire;

* psychokinetically igniting candles, charring paper inside closed jars, setting fire to the sails of toy sailboats on a pond, and opening a jar of apple juice and causing it to burn;

* gazing at a tissue in his home and having a towel in a friend's home eleven miles away catch fire;

* causing keys and business cards that were wrapped in plastic and mailed in a cardboard box from Florida to Joe's home to arrive twisted and charred.

Joe likened his ability to that of a martial artist, who concentrates energy from the body into the hands and directs it.

Her color palate is so pleasing to look at holy crap. Orange and light blue go so well together. Having her portrait be blond and then her hair being red? its too confusing. I prefer the red hair by miles.

Watching his newly manifested prodigy, Marella Redek, daughter of Caprise and Durand Redek. His other prodigy, Brant, just closely inspected the two. His eyes trailed along them. Though the young girl couldn't seem any less interested in this talk.

I'm bored and need to get some stuff on here, so have some old oc art. There is plenty more of it, so don't worry, it looks bad, but that's cause it's old.

Tristan: 1 and 4. 18, he/him, hot head, pyromaniac, pyrokinetic. He's a bit of an asshole, but anyone would be with his parents. He hates "normies" and does everything he can to show he's not straight.

Bel: 1. 30s, he/they, dad of the group, basically a werewolf at will. He's a grump, but a loveable grump. My man has amnesia bad and can't quite recall why he has big scars on his chest. Maybe he was attacked? It's probably nothing anyway.

Emily: 1. 8, she/her, literal child, can influence the emotions of those around her. Literal pocket of sunshine, she wouldn't hurt a fly. Well, as long as you didn't make her angry. Then you won't stand a chance.

Nova: 3. 28, she/her, mom of the group in a not married to dad kinda way, has wings. Burnt out gifted kid with dead parents, one of which she didn't care very much for. She'd rather be anywhere but babysitting these kids, but not much she can do about it now I guess.

Florian: 2. 23, he/they, asshole and he knows it, can make people forget he's there. A dickhead and manwhore through and through, he likes to creep in the shadows. A bit of a kleptomaniac and longing for someone to love him.

Raine: 6. 19, they/he, sweetheart, can manipulate water and heal people with their water. Loves to spend time with their friends and his partner. Would rather be laying on the beach than fighting, but can't always get what you want.

Bex: 6. 25, she/her, raging bitch and murderer, can summon the spirits of those she has killed/watched die. Literally kills people for fun and to amass an army of ghosts. Legit dresses like shes constantly "thirsty".

Pyrokinesis or: Understanding Fractured Memory

The house down the street is on fire and I think I did it. I think I am one of those fire psychic people, what's it called? Pyrokinesis the internet tells me. Or maybe I'm crazy, what would be the difference anyway?

Anyhow, I think I started the fire but I can't be sure because my memory can't be trusted and while I don't remember going into the building and lighting a match but I can't say I didn't not do it, you know? Brains are temperamental things and prone to forgetting upsetting things.

Oh, right, anyway, I think I started it with my mind. You see every day I walk to work and I cross East Hampton street and at the top of East Hampton is Von Strauss Manor, a very large, very old house with something like 10 bedrooms or whatever.

And every morning I stop and I stare at Von Strauss Manor from the bottom of East Hampton where it ends at Charleston Lane and while staring at it, catching my breath from all the walking, and I imagine what it would look like engulfed in flames. And on the way home from work tonight my wish came true.

Von Strauss Manor started life as a landowner's house and through the years property exchanged hands, people died, inheritances were had and now Von Strauss Manor was on fire and I think it was my fault. I would apologize but I would do it again and again, that house knows what it did wrong.

You see, while staring at the monstrosity of a mansion with a baleful stare, imagining the fire licking the air, and before I know it the flames were there. And I didn't mean to actually harm the house, but it looked at me with a sinister gaze.

I felt threatened. It was an act of self defense. Manslaughter in the first degree with pyrokinesis. Well I guess houseslaughter, does that exist? Probably not. They'll write a whole new section of law for this. I don't think pyrokinesis is technically illegal... or legal.

I think they call that a "technical gray area" or something like that. Anyway, I'm sure I will be the catalyst for this houseslaughter legislature, they're always making laws to punish queers like me.

But... Also... Why do I remember marble flooring and a sauna and hot tub? Why do I get flashes of a big rear projection TV and one of those sound systems with the big speakers you always see at Radio Shack in their gaudy tech display? Why the specifics?

I am unsure, but I am sure of one thing: my brain was rearranged by a drunk redneck in a bar fight outside Tupelo, Mississippi sometime in July 1979. Why do I remember that date but never any birthdays or anniversaries or any of the government holidays? Oh right, the brass knuckles and the redneck, yes, well, that guy beat me bad enough that I can't trust my memory anymore.

Also I remember it because it was the night of the Tupelo Concession Stand Brawl, Jerry Lawler & Bill Dundee vs. Larry Latham & Wayne Ferris in what would be known as the birth of hardcore wrestling. It was a wild brawl and goddamn I love wrestling.

Oh, right, the knuckles and the redneck, yeah that was my post-show ritual. I would go to the matches and cheer some good guys and yell at bad guys and have a great time, then I would come out here to the bar and drink a few drinks and walk home.

Well, on this night Mr. Redneck and I got into a verbal disagreement and he decided to re-arrange my face, but what he didn't count on was my head bouncing off the pavement so hard my brain broke. A cheap shot blindsided me and now I have severe memory issues.

So now I am watching the firemen try to scramble and save the manor engulfed in flames by the weird trans girl who used her redneck brass knuckle birthed crazy person pyrokinesis and I realize, while I did do this, nobody knows I did do this because my brain did this for me. I think. I don't rightly remember.
