I assume that if a char doesn't have wings separate from their arms, they can't fly innately. With exceptions of course (Pred, Tekno, a decent % of the Yagyu bats, Cpt. Rescue, Amy for that brief period of time (Hey, she had invisibility in '06, so why not her Archie flight too? say magic dabbling did it), and a few others that fail to come to mind. I just like the idea of it as a really rare bird trait that maybe you get, maybe not (Or get via science/magic/whatever too, I guess)

I assume (and hc) that Quark can't fly and it was a gag more than anything (cuz AoSTH), but it did happen on-screen, so pyp on that.

At least one official version of Robotnik (AoStH) is most likely bisexual, since AoStH Ivo openly had the hots for lots of women *but also* blushed and seemed to enjoy himself after being forced to kiss the male Dr. Qwark. (Qwark himself didn't enjoy it.) Like sure, it's not evidence for the games, but what little evidence we have in *any* official media is that Eggman's not only NOT homophobic, but is possibly into dudes himself.

Lol it's been years since I last watched AoStH but I remember his reaction to being made to kiss Dr. Quark. They weren't kidding when they said he isn't straight in the concepts, it's actually not wrong to interpret this note as saying such XD

I usually go by the game canon and most people are trying to call him the homophobic one. but still, it's valid to mention AoStH as evidence to prove the point that that no version of Eggman/Robotnik in any media is supposed to be homophobic.

Game Eggman hasn't been in any canon relationships or shown his feelings on sexuality, and those that have like AoStH have shown he's not homophobic and even appears to be into men. It's weird for fans to want characters to be homophobic when they canonically aren't, regardless of it being a joke or not. Nothing has shown that game Eggman is straight and homophobic as someone that hasn't been shown to be in a relationship, and neither has AoStH as someone that has. So the homophobic and straight take has no merit, there's actually more evidence of him being otherwise.

There are multiple moments in various canons and media that could be interpreted as Eggmen/Robotniks being into men that can't be debunked. Such as that instance in AoStH, the way moments of Eggman and Wily praising each other in Archie seemed a whole lot like flirting, the way nobody can stop someone from interpreting Bowser and Eggman sightseeing at London as a date, the way game Eggman's sexuality is up to interpretation because they haven't confirmed that he's straight, etc. People can't say it's wrong, we're free to see it that way because it's a matter of interpretation when nothing is confirmed or denied.

And you sent this ask before the latest Twitter Takeover but now we have a very important instance of them allowing the gender of his ex to be up to interpretation too, which is huge. That can also count as evidence that Eggman clearly isn't homophobic, as he surely wouldn't keep it ambiguous if he was because homophobes would want to make it especially clear that they're not into men. It also means that Eggman could very well date men because they knew they didn't have to specify the gender of the ex. I'm really happy that they realize that they don't have to.

And even if they had, there's a chance it wouldn't have suited my personal headcanon but there still wouldn't have been anything saying he's not into men at all. People are allowed to headcanon what they like, as long as it's not offensive like being homophobic. I think people should stop whining about LGBT hcs and start pointing out how bad and unfunny it is to 'headcanon' or 'joke' about characters being discriminatory towards people in ways they haven't been shown to be in official media. Harmless headcanons for fun are fine and don't deserve so much hate in comparison.
