Hey! GW2 fandom!

I'm semi-new here, though (since you guys seem friendly) a few of my screenshots and doodles have done the rounds so my characters might not be entirely unfamiliar to you. Anyway, I want more GW2 on my dash! with some caveats due to being New TM I'm looking for folks to follow who;

post a fair bit of GW2; other games and fandoms in the mix is fine, I myself am pretty multifandom over here (I don't have the braincells to separate everything out lmao)

have a spoiler-tagging system I can reference; I've just finished HoT and I'm absolutely not rushing through GW2's storyline (experience has taught me that the best way to enjoy an MMO is slowly) If you don't have a spoiler tagging system but still wanna chat, that's also great! hmu I wanna interact and meet the fandom! I just don't wanna hit a spoiler for content that, to most other people, is ancient lmao

I'm especially interested in seeing fanworks, whether you're a creator of them or a chronic reblogger. I miss the good old days of tumblr when my dash was 90% peoples' fanart and OCs and everyone hyping each other up 🥺

A bit about me (and my characters)

I'm not a single-fandom blog. My blog runs mostly on a queue, and in that queue goes basically everything I enjoy with anything cool that crosses my dash in between.

I'm a Millennial TM. I make Millennial TM jokes (puns) like my life depends on it. I'm sorry. I can't change.

I post art over on @ilmhist sometimes. Doodles and portraits and such. (That's also the blog I like/follow from.)

I have... a lot of OCs. A lot. My OC page is packed and in a constant state of "oh god I still need to write so-and-so's bio..."

idk how to play GW2 I'm just here for the blorbosis, I'm certifiably Bad At It and I die constantly. This has become a character trait for my comm, it's a running joke at this point that he never walks away from a fight under his own strength, he's always getting carried or dragged out when it's all said and done.

I'm... kind of obsessed with sylvari. I support everyone who has brainrot for the other races and I'd love to hear thoughts on them, I just have none, it's all plant people all time in my one singular braincell.

These lil guys are my current pride and joy. Lus and Drea are twins, but all four of them awoke during different times of the same day, and (mostly) had connected Dreams. Cal is the odd one out in this, she never got a Wyld Hunt and her calling in life is much more mundane than the others, but she sort of gets swept along with them anyway. Her running gag is that, for one reason or another, she never seems to make it to the Big Climactic Fight at the end of any given journey. Dill is very much in the wrong genre and should have been a Disney prince. He even sings. He also has a godawful sense of direction and if left in charge of Leading The Group, he will blithely lead the group in circles for hours. As is evident, they're season-coded. Autumn, winter, spring, summer. I thought it was a fun idea for a group of sylvari sharing a plotline :>

Jimin and Yoongi performed TM at The Final in Seoul...

AND OMG!!! I WAS THERE!

I took a chance on Jimin performing Tony Montana with Yoongi during the encore concerts and wrangled myself a Saturday ticket.

The stars aligned for me and like magic, there he was. Park Jimin, in real life. He performed not only Tony Montana but also, incredibly, Like Crazy. It was a dream come true!

Dont get me wrong, it wasn't ALL about Jimin. Yoongi is my bias, after all.*

But the reason i went, was in the hopes of seeing them together on stage for T.M.

It's really only hitting me now, 10 hours later as I queue to check-in for my flight home*°, how lucky I was. I'm trying not to cry in public. Yes, it was that good.

I cannot overstate the gloriousness of Jimin's live performance, especially for a solo choreo like this one.

He swirls and darts and glides through the movements like a murmuration.

He is a swan on water. He is an illicit drug. He is ambrosia. He is seduction.

He's the aurora borealis in human form.

The funny thing is, when he wasn’t transfixing us with his grace and his voice (and his hips), he was such a cute, awkward, lovable bean. And before he performed Like Crazy, he seemed SO NERVOUS. It was oozing from his pores.

There are moments in your life you will never forget, and Tony Montana in Seoul, at Yoongi's 2nd last show of his first solo tour, was one of them.

It was wild and exhausting, but totally worth it. 36 hours flying time and 36 hours in Seoul, arriving late friday night and leaving at the crack of dawn on Sunday to go directly to work on Monday morning when my flight landed.

(I readily admit I did a TERRIBLE job of videoing these performances. I have a special talent for taking absolutely rubbish footage. Even when I have a prime position and a very good camera my videos look like they were shot through a telescope on a rough sea. And often they're out of focus because I'm actually not looking at the phone once I hit the record button 😁)

*Yes, absolutely Yoongi is my bias. Since day one, the very first time i saw any of them, it was Yoongi who grabbed my attention. I've always liked the moody, difficult boys LOL.

Jimin, however, has a place in my heart that will never be reclaimed or relinquished. Jungkookie is there by virtue of Jimin, because they come as a set.

I’m seriously about to cry. I’ve visited the local DHS office 3 times in the past 3 weeks, been on the phone for hours (mostly waiting in call queues), and I keep being told that the food stamps will be available soon(tm).

On the phone yet again, and I JUST NOW found out that the reason we still have no food stamps is because someone in the back office wants MORE RECENT INCOME INFORMATION?!?!?!

I DONT HAVE ANY MORE RECENT INCOME INFO BECAUSE I HAVENT HAD ANY INCOME FOR AT LEAST A MONTH

And…now I’m in yet another phone queue because I have to tell a specific department that info…

While it's sort of fun to invent new recipes out of the dwindling ingredients we have left in the pantry, I think it would be more fun if you supported us on KoFi so that we can buy cat food, milk, and protein.

The state is dragging its feet on food stamps for no reason and my disability application is moving at the speed of molasses, otherwise I wouldn't even ask. But we could really, really, really use help right now.

Let’s talk about what went wrong with Taylor Swift Presale today. By now, you should all (hopefully) be aware that today, November 15th, was the start of a war declaration for all swifties. I myself was fortunate to get tickets, but thousands upon thousands of other die hard taylor fans were not. There are quite a few things that went wrong, and I hope to make this post cover as many as I am knowledgeable about so that in the case of future panic, concert ticket buyers can navigate the absolute hellscape that is ticketmaster. Fair warning: this post is long and winded, read at your own risk…. Screenshots will be included

Ticketmaster placed all sales on the same day with only a 1 hour buffer

In all their genius and ingenuity, TM decided to place all 52 presales (not including cap 1) on the same day. with a one. hour. buffer. If you’ve been on Twitter, you’ve seen the panic and anger from all pre-sale goers (myself included) East coast encountered many crashes and 504 bad gateway errors, not even including the “code not working” errors that eventually caused all queues to be placed on hold for over 3 hours… People couldn’t even get into waiting rooms due to site overload. Around 1 hour after this, TM told us to join using the code from our texts, but recommended using a laptop or desktop device… make it make sense? It was not any better in Central nation however. Upon joining the queue, I found myself to be behind nearly 5k people while my mom (who had gotten a code too and was trying incase my night was sold out) was behind nearly 22k people. Within 5 minutes of the queue opening, it was paused. There was no communication at all from TM for about an hour to an hour and a half. Twitter was flooded with people panicking that their codes weren’t working and the lines weren’t moving. I sat there for 4 hours until TM posted the following image.

Absolutely ridiculous. There was little to no communication about known issues or why TM couldn’t get their sh*t together in the span of 4 hours. Keep in mind I waited almost 6 hours to get tickets and others waited even longer. Stadiums were completely sold out in some cases with no update in the queue lines.

Boosts were not recognized/supported

Towards the bottom of this section I have attached a screenshot of a twitter thread discussing this. I personally feel this rumor may have some truth to it. I had no boosts, have never bought merch, and was relatively high in the line. However, I have yet to see a loverfest ticket holder who had a high place in line. The theory is that TM placed the boost holders at the end of the queue. Why? The ongoing theory is that it is for profit - TM is notorious for scalping and ripping off buyers, and it does not surprise me in the slightest that they would do this thinking that all the more dedicated swifties would be willing to spend more $$$ than the “locals.” There is a ton of outrage rn due to this. What was the point of the boosts if they didn’t work? Many boosted fans did not get any tickets as pre-sale sold out quickly.

UPDATE 11/16

Apparently this rumor has been confirmed from TM. See the attached picture. Seems that TM is having trouble keeping all their information consistent. Makes me wonder what exactly the boosts and loverfest did bc they defiantly did not help people get presale codes or ahead in the queue….

Dynamic Pricing + VIP packages

This is a concert lovers greatest enemy. We’ve all heard about how Ed Sheeran opted out of this, and we thought Taylor did as well…. until we walked into the gates of hell. It is still unclear if dynamic pricing is confirmed, but the prices across stadiums and pre-sale times is insane. I paid 299+fees for an 8th row lower bowl while one of my friends paid 400 for a 10th row and another only 250 for a floor ticket. There is absolutely no reason this should exist. Not only does this not detour scalpers, it simply makes the concert less accessible to people who ACTUALLY want to go. Not to mention the insane number of VIP packages available. IMO VIP should be something you add on after, not sold as an individual seat. The prices for floor VIP were 800+ for houston, and when I went to check about 2 hours after getting my tickets, they were one of the last things to be sold. These VIP packages had no communication before presale, and limited the number of good seating for people who simply wanted to watch the concert.

Weird error messages

This was a MAJOR problem during the presale that I haven’t seen many people talking about. I’ve attached a picture of my own error below. After finally getting through to purchase tickets, I found two amazing floor seats within my price range and immediately took them only to be met with the error below. I was literally freaking out while my mom kept on trying different tickets to no avail. I finally found someone on Twitter with the same issue who said they cleared cache and cookies and it worked. Luckily, I was able to do this, reenter my code, and get tickets (although not the amazing floor ones I had in my hand previously) TM has still not replied to my questions about the error messages, and it seems that more people are coming out with the same issue I encountered. I know TM was trying to prevent bots, but someone like me who has a verified email, phone, and clearly residential email handle should not have been flagged and given this code (still don’t know why tf I got it?) Some people are speculating these errors were to limit ticket buyers to cover up TM errors in calculating how many presale tickets were available.

Lack of support and ability to contact support

As I briefly mentioned earlier, I was not helped at all by TM support. There is no easily accessible number to call TM support, and even if there were, there is no guarantee they would pick up in time. Frankly, I was absolutely infuriated with how TM handled this. The lack of texts being sent, emails being sent late into the night with no waitlists in sight, no communication on how presale was going to work. Everyone was told completely different things and no one had any idea what was going on. Add this onto cap 1 presale being pushed back to tomorrow, this is going to make a lot of people really mad. I’ve heard of peoples cards not going through, codes declining, constant ticket disappearing, getting kicked to the back of queue, TM just dropping them - it’s a nightmare. Seriously, just look up some trending Taylor Swift tags on tiktok or twitter rn… And frankly, twitters TM support is just not helpful - the below twitter user received two completely different answers when asking about how codes can be used for different nights.

I sent TM support a message nearly 48 hours ago and still have no received a response - curious as to why, but I’m not entirely surprised. Haven’t heard too much about the situation over on seatgeek.

No Reputation Style Boosts

This is another speculation, but many swifties have said TM wouldn’t allow another reputation boost style system due to the low level of scalper activity during this sale. These boosts worked insanely well to get actual fans on the sale (unlike the verified fans) and it is inferenced that bc TM makes a lot of their money from resales and scalpers, they were against using this method for a popular artist like Taylor. This style of boost could have greatly benefited people who weren’t going to resell tickets, but because of cooperate greed TM has not allowed anyone to use it again.

Insane scalper prices

Literally what is says. 50k for a SINGLE floor ticket is just not it. don’t buy the resell tickets, wait it out for people to sell them at a slightly above face value. They knew people want this tour, and they’re taking advantage of that. How did so many tickets disappear and magically show up on stub hub during the queue pause? (hmmm I wonder it’s almost like that’s TM whole business model) This image is from chicago alone…. and look how many tickets are already here.

“Unprecedented” demand

*sigh* TM you were literally the ones who sent out the presale codes…. you cannot call this “unprecedented” when you literally knew the exact number of people who would be trying to get tickets. These overpriced service fees do what exactly? pay developers to pause queues and not send updates ever? People skipped work and school to buy these tickets and because of your oversight, they lost time and money and may have to miss more tomorrow to participate in Cap 1 presale. There is no other option for this volume of tickets being sold. Taylor has no option but to use this trashy, overpriced site to sell tickets to her loyal fans.

Overall, I am incredibly grateful to have even gotten a presale code. This is of no fault to Taylor or Taylor Nation - the blame lyes only on Ticketmaster. These past 48 hours have been brutal, and I know everyone is frustrated and mad at the shit show that happened today. I’m just asking any and all swifties to put your anger on TM not Taylor. She’s going to have a rough time responding to this, and I think we should make it as easy as possible for her. But most importantly, we need to hold TM accountable, there’s a reason monopoly is americas most hated game. Hopefully someone can crack down on this, but at the end of the day the only thing we can do is continue to support Taylor. hihihi grace i have been following your blog since i was twelve and i wanted to say hi. but also. wait. what is going on with Ticketmaster? im so lost all i know is no one got tickets

buckle up! rewind to about 2 weeks ago. taylor posted on instagram, announcing her tour and over 4 million people liked it within 12 hrs, 4x the number of ppl who liked her loverfest instagram post. when she announced it you could sign up for a chance to get a presale code on monday, november 14th. at this time, we were also told loverfest ticket holders have priority, as well as people with additional boosts received from purchases on taylor’s online store. we’re encouraged to link our store email with our ticketmaster email. monday roles around and a decent number of people get emails and texts with codes saying they were selected, although there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to who did and did not get codes. we’re told to log onto ticketmaster at 10am the time you venue is closed. as an east coaster myself, when i logged in at 9:25, the website had already crashed. i spent 25 minutes incessantly refreshing just to get into the website. when i finally got into the waiting room and then into the queue, i had, wait for it, over 20,000 people in line in front of me. 2 hours go by, ticketmaster informs us they have pushed back the capitol one card holder presale back 24 hrs, as well as the west coast presales to 3pm local time, AND my queue is paused while they work at ~internal issues~ due to the fact that they, as they claim, had no idea how many ppl would show up on their website, despite having sent. out. the. presale. codes….. AND THEN around this time is when nosebleeds are around $120, floor seats are all vip for $800, and stubhub suddenly has thousands of tickets going for over $20,000. there, again, seems to be no pattern as to where you are in the queue, despite empty promises made by both tm and tn that fan loyalty would be a factor. by hour 4, most venues have no tickets allotted for presale left. many are devastated and feel scammed and are crying and confused

*deep breath* ITS WEDNESDAY! a new day and opportunity for capital one card holders to join a queue and get taylor swift tickets! it cant possibly be worse than yesterday, they naively think! only, its worse. while the queue moves slightly faster, the 6 digits tm asks us to use to confirm we have a card, don’t work. The website is crashing before its even 2pm local time, when we were told to join the queue. And then…… people finally get in to buy tickets and of course….. there is nothing left within the first 20 minutes of the presale. the world is outraged! what will tm and taylor say! people are begging tm and tn for answers (some of the answers are just them gaslighting fans convincing them they never said long time fans will get priority and they don’t know where that information came from)! what will they do!? nothing. the answer is nothing.

but! do not fret! friday is general sale! everyone will get equal opportunity! didnt get presale? no worries! don’t have a capital one card? a-okay! except….. about an hour ago, ticketmaster logs onto their silly little twitter to announce GENERAL SALE HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO UNPREDICTED SALES NUMBERS!!!! how could that be?? didnt they set aside presale tickets???? the stadiums can fit up to 6 digits worth of people!!! what abt the people who simply werent lucky or privileged enough to qualify for the first 2 sales? how can resellers legally do this??? what happened? where did they go wrong??? who even is gonna be in the audience a eras tour??? how did loverfest go so smoothly when there were only 4 domestic shows? all…..great….. fucking….. questions……

i am absolutely horrified and outraged at ticketmaster. 90% of my friends are people i’ve met because of the taylor fandom and yet a whopping like 10% of my friends who live in or can come to the US got tickets. the entire process sucked and to top it all off barely anyone got tickets. right now the only opportunity to get tickets is to spend either $4000 for nosebleeds or more for alternative sections. i dont know what to make of taylor and team’s silence, i am feeling blindly optimistic because i love her and trust her and she often, not always but often, pulls through. i am so sorry to everyone who wont be able to see her, as of now.

not to bang on about it, but i think the Goncharov Phenomenon and the new Defunctland video being released at the same time is kind of. apt?

in the documentary Kevin spends an hour and a half in agony about his existence as a youtuber/artist/documentarian, agony i recognise and deeply resonate with, and comes to the conclusion that work doesnt have to be "great" to be worth it. that seriousness and importance is not something worth trading off joy for. that it's not actually a bad thing necessarily that sketches and memes take off and stuff you worked hard on doesn't, even if it feels bad in the moment

his point being that creativity is worth it even in isolation, that even the "real" virtuosos have no regrets about producing work that is less important, and that it's about whoever you touch with the work, no matter how shallow or simple the work may seem, and no matter how shallow or simple the impact might be on whoever you touched.

you still touched them, didn't you?

i think it's obvious why this resonates with me quite so much - in a fandom context, as well as where that intersects with my work in games, my ideas for novels that might not get anywhere, and what i "should" be doing to be considered a proper writer

and that's why goncharov is such a fantastic fucking example.

the entire POINT of goncharov is that it doesn't mean anything. and because of that, it can mean everything at once. the outpouring of creativity in unison from seemingly all corners of tumblr is no less beautiful because it is couched in memery and an inside joke. the analysis speaks just as much about the context of our zeitgeist as it does the film that doesn't exist. the art, the writing, the music. everyone taking whatever craft they've built for themselves and using it to reach out to each other for no reason other than it's fun.

it is worthy of doing, in and of itself.

my god. humans just need an excuse to create beauty sometimes because we'll do it about fucking anything. and i think that's wonderful

ok. hear me out. i have thoughts about nandor’s list of ideal wife traits.

ive seen posts that are like 'it's a list of traits guillermo has!' reading it as a nandermo hint, as well as posts that say 'guillermo has the exact opposite of those traits to show that nandor is in denial' and i really don’t think it’s a direct 1:1 of either of those at all

it's pretty clear to me that the list is first of all much more literal than that - the show isn't always trying to indicate something aside from literally what it's talking about (the traits of the wives he re-deaded during the montage) and while i love reading into things as much as the next guy i think this list really was just written to serve the joke more than anything

BUT. but. it's also something that is much more indicative of nandor's inner workings than it is a straight up list of things he likes about guillermo but won’t admit to because, well, let's list the traits -humble, an excellent listener, not petty or slovenly or vain or manipulative, never asked him to shave off his beard, not smarter than him, warm and wanted to be with him (🥺), kind, a good haggler, merciful, horny, and has a sense of spontaneity and fun

to me this reads almost as if it's a classic comphet 'oh i just have high standards' kind of bent thinking. half of the traits seem to actively contradict another item in the list! this is the exact kind of thought pattern that happens when you are so divorced from your actual Self that you don't actually even know what you want - if i just have a reason that every relationship isn't perfect, an excuse for it to never be right, then i don't have to face what is genuinely happening inside me. if i have a formula, then i am safe. 

i would argue that the list is actually three separate things: 1: things nandor genuinely does want in a relationship (which do tend to line up with guillermo's own traits, or the ones he has made most visible during his servitude) 2: things that would be good for nandor’s personal development and therefore he does not want to be challenged on them (especially by a near-stranger as his wives have become to him - the fight scene is the big example here, since his reaction to guillermo in the same context was so different, but also i’m including things like not being smarter than him, etc. these are largely Also traits guillermo has, and are the ones pointed out by the posts arguing that the whole list is about guillermo in negative).  3: the other things are just quibbles because he is a petty little bitch but we been knew that already

to me his total misread of marwa's personality at the end of the episode is so starkly obvious for those exact reasons - he doesn't know what he wants at all, and it's not as simple as his subconscious having all the answers in a direct negative for us to superimpose guillermo on, either. because divorcing yourself from your emotions and anything remotely difficult to process for 400 years is bound to have some sort of impact.

also i am deeply certain that nandor was largely the same (read: an asshole) even while he was still human, too, but that’s a topic for another time

thinking about how nandor calling all his partners wives is a clever way to have him very explicitly handwave heteronormativity and establishes him as someone who doesn't even register the modern sexuality zeitgeist BUT still places him as the sole husband: still centers him as the man of the house, the one waited on hand and foot, the one in charge, and the one ultimately aloof from a relationship that is supposed to be a partnership (there being many wives notwithstanding).

and how if, in the end, guillermo refuses to be nandor's wife and insists on being his husband that it sings in total synergy with the entire storyline thus far - it would be guillermo learning to own himself, his sexuality, his self worth, and refusing to be a doormat, and nandor accepting that change is part of life even when you are undying, and that he cannot always be dominant in order to avoid being vulnerable, and in fact needs a partner that will challenge him

Yeah SO… we all know how he always seems to always give the closest people to him, like everything, including the moon and a fucking rocket to the moon as well, and build it too, that before he gets anything at all? He is definitely a giver. He buys food, drinks, anything.

Anything you would accomplish, no matter how small would be an excuse for him to go out and buy you a meal and while you are there, if you only happen to glance at something twice, you already have it? Yeah you might feel bad and try to pay or say “stop giving me things all the time” but he would not stop and he would buy you the thing and shower you with praises for how well you did, even if you think it is not such a big deal.

You have a normal day when nothing happened? You go to the store together, he pays. He comes to visit you randomly. On the way he buys a flower and a random chocolate or a drink because he remembers somehow that you said you wanted to try it like 3 months ago. And the list never ends. He def strikes as one weird cranky, moody, annoying bitch with his behaviour but if you pay closer attention he is actually so observant and thoughtful/caring. He seems like you would not want to go to him for things but I actually think that if you take the time and grow close to him he is one of the most caring and protective people tbh.

Like it’s in his nature to pay attention to what close ones are doing, their schedules, interests and habits. He is the kind of person to never purposefully say or make a fuss out of doing something but somehow he knows you need something or you want something. And he buys the thing and puts it in the fridge. Or changes the sheets because he feels you are too sad and unmotivated and that would be good. Or buys something definitely because “he wanted it” but gets more, and a side of the thing you like a lot, because “it was there”, definitely not because he thought of you and that it would bring you joy. Or he would like pick a prescription for you or refill your water bottle before leaving or tell you to bring band-aids because you complained those shoes hurt you. Or tell me this boy would not chop the onions for the pasta sauce so you don’t ruin your mascara (I am not sobbing you are).  And he somehow fits himself in and things add up so well and your life is so much easier despite him claiming he „did nothing”.

Although it doesn’t seem like it, something tells me it’s true. I read on an internet thing that people that seem cold and don’t want/seem to have the need for verbal affirmation and validation from strangers get actually more satisfaction from it than people who say it explicitly.

He also def strikes me like he was raised to be tough, to recover fast, to not be a cry baby and just get up and do the job, suck it up, be strong and independent. A little bit of trust issues into the mix as well ☹ You can actually kinda see a sort of anxious behaviour type of thing in him. So I feel like if you actually grow closer to him (ahem Jisung), acknowledging his efforts and how he makes your life easier, THAT would bring out the asshole being like “oh really? Hm interesting you think I do so much for you huh?” but he actually does thooo and you saying it would bring him like so much joy and make his heart happy.

Like each time you give him a compliment TM he would act like “yeah I know” or act disgusted but high key it soothes his spirit and ego when you say such things. He just loooves to hear how much you loved something he cooked or how attractive he was while dancing or how he was really thoughtful, and you appreciate it sm. He seems to have the nature to give, and he seems to expect to go unnoticed but when and if you do acknowledge his heart is actually swooning over it.

I think he would be the type to bring weird things to you for no reason along with 1000 kisses and a hug that is a bit too tight you know? Like his mind gets occupied with you if you are close.

And like he saw this weird card at the store or a little figurine or something which has a weird patters and he thought “Hm they must see this. They would like this strange ass thing I bought which was overpriced”. And when he gives you the thing you give like an odd smile and in your eyes is a „love you but wtf is this” and he would take your hands and look down and kiss them and say “I don’t know i thought you might like it?” And you would tease each other and he would start doing ayego and get really shy and just hug you again and place his head in your neck to avoid the eye contact, then lift you up and spin you and from there you have no chances of escaping the embrace TM.

I feel like he would be a sucker for physical touch as your love language as well. If you reciprocate hugs, kisses and stuff. Now this might seem weird to you BUT. He seems like he touches people out of nowhere sometimes and kinda clings. Not like all the time but enough. Like he likes being really close to you if he is close to you, you know?. He would be all up in your face with his weird ass mannerisms and humour but if they are reciprocated and he feels safe and good around you he naturally starts to cling if that makes sense? Like in a way a sort of telling others: “mine, you cannot have them before me” but also in the sense that you know he would do anything for you if you ask in those instances. Like YO, you have me, soul and body next to you, I am here :)))

Like he doesn’t seem like the type to buy things a lot (cheap ass I see you :)))) although he would sometimes) But he makes up by being there and encouraging you despite not knowing how to act or what to say all the time, he lets you know you can count on him and he is there. He seems really touchyyyyy TM. But like in the way that shows physical affection because he seems a little insecure? That is kinda what he strikes me as. Like he wants to hold you. He wants to show you have him. He wants to be appreciated :( my child (and bias) help me I am sobbing:))) and he wants to make sure you know he appreciates you just as much.

Like he would hold your hand, hug you a lot or place random kisses and linger in those places? An he would compliment you and tell you your work is amazing and that he is proud and he would make lots of idiotic jokes to cheer you up, no matter the mood (we stan crackhead humour in this household) and he would tell you the most random shit he likes about you. Like “I like your socks” or “you changed your bag” or “the perfume is oddly floral just like your shirt and I like it”.

And he would make random short freestyle raps (kill me now I am in too deep) about you or a random thing you are doing. And he would just linger around you when you are busy and can’t give him attention. He wants to show trust and love through little gestures and trusts you to see them as a sign of his love because you make him happy and all.

I feel like he would like physical touch back? Like he would be fine if you didn’t like it, but like since he is like anxious and (to me) seems like a little overly aware of his “flaws and deficiencies”, he would like to know he has your “hold”. Like some sort of security type of thing.

Like small gestures, your hand on him, a little kiss, a hug, a squish :))), a little grip of reassurance and a nod of “you are doing good”. I think he would be a sucker for that. And also despite him lowkey rejecting your compliments like “yeah I know I am the best”, giving it to him would boost his self-esteem a lot, as I think he has many insecurities and quite a few complexes that are hard to express for him. So that, along with your touch and words to reassure him, he would love and get the idea that you want him close too, that he’s desired enough for you to seek his love, something like “you my dude are seen and loved for who you are”.

He is defiantly a giver. He literally seems like he is so thoughtful and cares so much. Like we all know how his fellow members said he is great at gifts. Well duh. I feel like his gifts are not always big but like a small food or drink he brings because he knows you always love it, a flower he saw in the front of a flower shop he thought was pretty. Something you said you needed (or you didn’t say) but he knows you do need it because he just pays that much attention. A pendant necklace. A ring. A small ice-cream because the day is hot so why not. A donut that had flower sprinkles because you like to post aesthetic foods and so on. You name it. They would not be obnoxious, but it would sure show how much you are occupying his thoughts.

We also always know how he is attached to the hip to the people he is close to and he loves skinship. He said he loves back hugs, hugs, kisses he wants it all:)) So he gives plenty of cuddles for sure. You can never escape the octupus arms as you go to sleep each night, so might as well set up the air conditioning in your house as it’s about to get warm but affection and love above all, right? :)))))))

I think he thrives if you return his little ministrations of affection. Does it matter? A hug, a kiss, holding him, a little massage, hand size comparison, throwing yourself on top of him on the couch or the bed at the end of the day. He LOVES it. Also I think he needs reassurance and a sense that people that are closest are proud of what he is doing(wipe your tears bitch). He would be such a servant if he loves you. AND YOU WOULD NOT EVEN NOTICE at first. Like I feel like he does stuff in a way similar to Minho where he makes sure your life is as easy as can be. Like puts your shoes out of the way, checks the weather so you don’t leave dressed inappropriately (forces you to take the puffier jacket despite it not going with your outfit, because “do you want to catch a cold, hm?”), gives you an umbrella. Fixes a random necklace which you broke by accident because he knows it will sit there for like 3 years if it’s in your care, and you like the necklace 😊. Makes sure you eat something healthy too(would definitely bring you washed and cut-up fruits after going out to eat at mcdonalds). And he for sure does not expect you to really notice, but if you do he is getting flustered and runs out the room with a big smile😊 what a baby tm.

I feel like he would appreciate most if you also took time out of your day to ease his life too. I feel like he would feel such relief and happiness and his heart would swell with affection and appreciation if you took on one of his (no matter how insignificant) tasks. You know how he struggled a bit with the dancing at first and you know how the other members say that he does nothing when someone criticizes him, he just goes out of his way to fix his “mistakes”? And also in Vlive when he said he doesn’t like to watch his own fancams because all he sees are his mistakes? My baby seems to have a bit (quite some) of an imposter syndrome and since he is young and everyone teases him, although with love, I feel like it gets a bit uncomfortable and tough. He seems he just wants to keep up, and be the best at what he does but it gets tough when you have to catch up with people who have been doing the thing for many more years than you and you are struggling with your feelings and figuring things out as you grow within a demanding contract. So I think someone to listen to his worries and give him undivided attention without judgement and put in their input without being intrusive would be the most amazing thing to him. That, along with compliments and acknowledgement of his efforts, telling him that he is doing GOOD and you are proud (although he might think that you are just saying it, since he seems to only see ways he needs to improve) would be good at raising his self esteem and encourage him to continue with his hard efforts.

the main reason intl tix are not on sale is because 1) she needs to get legal approval and govt stuff done which takes Time! 2) and this is further delayed because pretty sure most of them are gonna be 2024

as for us tix, they were announced -> boosts were given to fans who bought midnights physical copies from her site -> ticketmaster gave presale codes to way TOO many people -> when people started buying tix, site crashed and there there were endless queues which were moving very slow -> weird price stuff happened with east coast tix -> delayed pst timezone selling window

people who actually had boosts were in the back of the queue instead of the front, and since way too many codes were given out, lots of fans weren’t able to secure tix despite waiting hours in line. people wanted taylor and her team to do something but her hands are tied because TM is a monopoly and they have contracts with venues so she can’t sell tickets without them at her level, and TM is greedy so i think they rejected any slow ticketing/real boost system her team might’ve suggested.

fans are tired and exhausted and frustrated at taylor but ultimately everyone is mad at TM. idk what could’ve been done but im just telling you the current fiasco.

A/n: this was actually the original idea and then I built the series around this one 🤠 but idk I've been in Lele soft hours lately and I just love him so I hope I did this justice

Based off Jonas Bros song Rollercoaster

You loved field trips because it meant you weren't in class and you weren't technically missing any class either. It was the perfect scenario. The rumor was going around that class clown!chenle convinced your physics teacher to let you go to an amusement park to help you "study physics in the real world." This thought almost ruined the field trip for you because what I didn't mention was that Chenle is your ex boyfriend.

Last year Chenle was struggling in school and he blamed you for it. Basically, he was spending all his time with you and not on school, therefore it's your fault that he was failing algebra. N e wayz. He broke up with you which, in turn, broke your heart. It's been nearly a year and you are still getting over him and haven't dated since.

Regardless of any of that, you were determined to have fun on this trip. Until you realized that only the physics kids were going. You only had one friend in that class. Jisung, however, was also Chenle's best friend and left you with absolutely no one to talk to or ride rides with. That being said, Jisung would probably be too chicken anyway.

You hop on the bus and find a seat about 2/3 of the way back. This way you weren't by the rowdy kids in the back or packed in the front with all the normies. You were hoping to be invisible since you were all on your lonesome.

"Hey, y/n!" You felt the seat adjust as Jisung plopped himself down next to you.

"Oh. Hey, Jisungie. You scared me; I figured you'd sit by-"

"I'm sitting with him on the way back, but you on the way there," the boy cut you off before you mentioned your ex's name. Jisung was always doing that and, in a way, it was really sweet of him.

The bus started to limp it's way down the road, the loud students in the back assumed that was their queue to, you know, be loud. Chenle was one of these boys and his voice was heard over everyone else's. Jisung smiled kindly at you, handing over an airpod to cancel out Chenle's noise.

"Thanks." You smile back at your friend. He really was too kind for his own good.

You woke up to Jisung gently nudging your arm. You must've fallen asleep on his shoulder during the bus ride. "Y/n, wake up. We're here."

Everyone filed off of the bus and into lines to get into the park. Interestingly, Jisung stayed next to you and not Chenle.

You walked around with him for a while, but you were beginning to get bored. "Jisung, do you wanna ride one?"

"Oh. Um, I hadn't really considered that. Uh- I think er- no."

"You're no fun, you baby," you teased him.

"Oh yeah, I'm the baby when you're the one who is pouting right now. Fine. I'll go on one with you."

"The line said it will be about 20 minutes from here!" You exclaimed with a smile. Jisung, on the other hand, had turned white. He was sweating pretty bad too. "Are you gonna be able to go on it, Jisung?"

"Of course. Yeah, absolutely."

"If you really feel this bad about it, you don't have to just to make me happy. You need to be happy too! So I'll find someone else to go with and you and I will just get some cotton candy, okay?"

"No. I'm going to ride this," he stated firmly, waving his fists in the air.

The worker motioned for you two to sit down on the next car. You could barely contain your excitement.

"Oh my gosh." Jisung just, to put it simply, looked awful. "Y/n, I'm sorry. I'm gonna-" and he took off running for the bathrooms.

You felt like you'd just ruined your only physics friend's day by nearly forcing him on a rollercoaster. The attendant offered Jisung's seat to a boy in line behind you. His eyes widened as he sat down.

"H-hey, y/n."

"Hey, Lele- Chenle," you corrected yourself after using his nickname.

"You can call me Lele if you want. I always liked it when you did." Before you could make the situation any more awkward, the car lurched forward as it climbed the first hill. The coaster began to drop and you were thriving(tm). As it raced down before looping, you grabbed Chenle's hand without thinking. You both were screaming at the top of your lungs.

When the ride came to a stop, you realized your hands and quickly pulled away. "Sorry," you mumbled as you began to run off to find Jisung.

"Y/n, wait! If you wanna keep going on rides, you should just stay with me. You know Jisung won't want to."

In your head you knew this was a bad idea, but for some reason you said, "okay."

Ride after ride played out similarly. You squeezed each other's hands and yelled as you plummeted towards the Earth at what felt like the speed of sound. It was so natural, you didn't even question being with your ex boyfriend at this point. And that was a thought you didn't want to be having.

After probably the 19th rollercoaster, you decided to break for food. Chenle even offered to pay for your corndog, but you turned him down. "Y/n! I found you!" You heard Jisung shout from not too far away.

"Jisung! Where have you been?"

"I was walking around with Mei. She doesn't like rides either," he smiled as he said her name, persuading you to believe he might have a little crush. You nudged Chenle and he nodded, having picked up on it too.

"Well, why don't the four of us do something?" He suggested. Jisung looked and the boy, then back at you. He gave you a questioning look probably concerned for your wellbeing. Who in their right mind goes to an amusement park with their ex? "Jisung, are you afraid of ferris wheels or is it just the big rides?" Chenle continued to tease.

"Oh, I'm not afraid of anything," Jisung claims, puffing his chest.

"You're so brave," you add, grabbing Chenle's hand in yours. "Let's go!"

The four of you hopped in the cart for the wheel. You sat next to Mei and across from Chenle. You introduced yourself and instantly got along with her well. She was super bright and kind, you could see why Jisung liked her. As you talked with Mei, you noticed the two boys talking about something quietly. You weren't able to overhear without making it obvious. They immediately noticed when Mei and your conversation ended and stopped theirs as well.

"Hey y/n, will you switch seats with me?" Jisung asks innocently. Chenle's eyes widen as he shakes his head at Jisung. As the boy sat down where you were previously sitting, he gave Chenle a smirk. You were confused by his actions until he grabbed Mei's hand. She flushed red hues and turned towards Jisung. He returned her gaze, smiling, and unable to contain his blush as well. He leaned in and places a light kiss on her cheek. Moments later you found yourselves back at the bottom of the wheel. Jisung and Mei got off, but told the attendant you and Chenle were going again. He even winked at you as you lifted back into the sky. What was their conversation about?

Chenle suddenly began apologizing. "Y/n, I'm sorry. For everything. It was never your fault. My mom was always on my case for my grades- and that's not an excuse! I am the one to blame. I'm just trying to explain; trying to make things right." He looked at you with big puppy eyes.

"It's okay, Lele. I remember low lows and high highs. We were up and down. But I forgive you."

"Thanks, but that's not all-" he was cut off by you quickly pressing your lips to his nose.

"I'd go back and ride that rollercoaster with you. Do you want to ride it again? It was way more thrilling than this ferris wheel!" You smiled brightly at the speechless boy. He could only nod as an answer.

You walked hand in hand past Jisung and Mei and back towards the big kid rides. He looked at your hands before proudly proclaiming, "I see Chenle held up on his side of the agreement. Wait why are you guys going back for more coasters. We barely made it over!" Jisung bargained, but you kept walking. Your relationship didn't work out the first time, but this one felt different. Who knows, maybe the second times the charm?

First of all, I am an AdultTM and as such I am permitted to set by own Bed Time. There are many reasons why you might receive notifications from me so ‘early’.

I have a blog post on queue every morning between 5am and 6am my time (so probably 3am and 4am your time). It goes up automatically, so I can see initial responses before I go to work.

I think Patreon sends its emails at the same time each day, regardless of when I post. I certainly don’t type there early in the morning.

Sometimes I’m on nightshift and can get kinda bored at 3am sometimes.

Sometimes I just can’t sleep, especially with the changing day/night cycles.

Most of the blog runs on queue, honestly. At least three posts a day do.

She was so weirded out. Shes highly food motivated so it was like heaven to her but she was simultaneously very suspicious. Her face was like"i love this but idk if i trust it" it was great.Have a greatday!

If you an reinforce the behaviour by arranging frequent, short visits to the vet clinic where nothing happens but lots of treats, she may start to associate the vet clinic with positive things (food) ad no scary things. This might make the rest ofher life easier.

I would like to suggest that any surgery on a rat is likely to be not simple, because they do have particular anesthetic requirements that can make their recovery difficult. Also that a lot of traditional rat medicine hinges on using post mortem examination as a diagnostic tool, which is not useful at all with pet rats.

In dog and cat medicine most of our equipment and even medications are not suitable for rats, or very difficult to adapt. We simply have fewer options, and generally less experience with these species Most vets I know will attempt to treat them, but with a great big disclaimer saying I don’t do this often, and a quick question as to whether you’d prefer to go to a nearby clinic that does see rats more often.

You can use capstar on kittens from 4 weeks of age, and Revolution from 6, probably earlier. Talk to your vet.

She is probably not going to have any long term personality changes from being desexed, though might be out of sorts for a few days after the anaesthetic. If anything they tend to be less stressed because they’re not attracting Toms.

We send our patients home with aftercare instructions. We have a default one that we print for routine surgery like desexing, and a customized one for non-routine procedures.

We also read it out to our clients when they pick up their pet, and point out that all these instructions are written down, because it’s easy to forget details when you’re worried.

It may be stress, but you should consult your vet to rule out any underlying urinary tract issue before assuming so. Your vet should be able to discus the various stress reducing techniques, changes and treatments that are available.

While bacon is certainly digestible, it is not a balanced diet. It would be ideal if you could minimize his bacon habit.

I have said many times before that if it’s working, keep feeding it.

Novel protein diets, and ideally single proteins source diets, are more use for allergies than just going ‘grain free’.

‘Grain Free’ labelling on food particularly vexes me because it’s not regulated. You can find ‘grain free’ food that really mean ‘corn free’ and either use grain byproducts or straight up use rice. Last time I checked, rice was a grain.

It’s like ‘Hollistic’ - it means nothing on a pet food label. Neither does ‘Organic’, pet food companies do not have to use all organic products in pet food to label the food as organic. These are marketing ploys like ‘all natural’ which are targeting your emotions and don’t mean anything when it comes to the food.

If you’ve come across a novel protein diet, or a minimum ingredient diet, that is beneficial for your cats then stick with it. But recognise what’s marketing and what’s useful.

I would suggest that you potentially need to figure out what motivates your dog most. Consider using positive reinforcement to encourage him to heel on the lead, instead of wandering and pulling.

You might also want to consider something like a halti collar, which pulls the dog’s nose downwards to their chest when they pull, instead of something that goes around the neck.

No. And here’s the thing- all modern dog breeds are equally distant from their wolf-like ancestor, unless they have been recently mixed with wolves again.

Their health problems are different to those dogs with more extreme anatomy, but dogs that look like wolves are not inherently healthier.

Certainly.

This is called line breeding, where the offspring of a ‘perfect’ individual are repeatedly bred back to the same individual generation upon generation to try to recreate it. All you really do is lose genetic diversity very quickly and allow recessive deleterious genes to proliferate in the population.

This is why just about everywhere else that’s not the purebred pet world, this is considered a bad thing to do.

Oh boy. It is genuinely a challenge to write out how much of a shitshow this was. Around 2013, I was still a girl scout. I was getting to the point where it wasn't fun anymore and all this trip did was solidify me leaving. I didn't know that at first, though. If anything, I was hoping this would give me a reason to stay. The trip was just a fun day-long outing to our local Six Flags New England (tm.) Nowhere in our non-existing contract did it say "weather permitting." It should have. After arriving in my friend's car, we had our typical buddy rule talk and were set free. It was blistering hot, but we hadn't brought any swimsuits since the water park either cost extra or didn't exist at that point. We were sweaty and sort of uncomfortable about an hour in. We were wishing it would cool down at this point, and the gods looked down at our pre-pubescent selves and decided to fuck with us. Clouds gathered. It cooled down about a third into our planned trip's length. We were no longer sweaty and miserable and were actually having a pretty good time. And then it rained. Rain came down in literal sheets on our heads, getting us soaked in minutes. We were not leaving. We paid for this entire trip, damned if we weren't going to enjoy all of it. We went on the water rides in the rain for the sheer sake of irony and because we couldn't get any less wet. There were no lines. Go figure. I don't know why we took so long to finally turn around; maybe we were just tricking ourselves into thinking this was fun? It wore off eventually and we had to actively seek out reasons to stay any longer. We thought we might as well go on the Catwoman's Whip roller coaster. We got to the queue and gulped. It was entirely flooded. We tried to walk up on the curbs to avoid the water, but it was useless. We gave up and walked-waded- through the good five inches of water up to the docking area. The attendant there took one look at us and said with absolutely no remorse or grief: "The ride's closed." Had I not been eight or nine years old, I would've stabbed that man right then and there. I feel as though the reason I so easily accept that men are horrible is because of this one attendant. He didn't even let us exit out the ramp that was conveniently not flooded, no. We had to trudge back through the freezing water in the ultimate walk of shame. We. Were. Not. Going. Home. I played a water gun race game. I won a penguin. I knew how easily these amusement park stuffed animals fell apart and the buckets of angel saliva being dumped onto us was not helping with my anxiety of it crumbling to dust before we finally left this hell park. I saw a gift store and went in to ask for a bag for the penguin. I could not get a bag unless I purchased something. I had no money. I had spent it on the penguin. In a final, grudging last resort, I took off my rain coat and wrapped it around my precious and fragile penguin plush. I stepped back out into the storm. That was the most pain I had experienced in my life to that point. When they say rain "hammers down" they're talking about that storm. It pounded against my skull with near-concussive force. I was determined to save the penguin. I searched for the adults, but they found me first, looking more pathetic than a drowned kitten. "We're leaving," they said. "Ok," I replied, words escaping me. It was then I realized I couldn't get into a car without completely ruining the seats. When we got back to the cars, I unwrapped my soft avian child. I carefully set them in the car, turned the wet side of my coat up, and sat on that for the ride home. I arrived sopping wet and ready to accept death. I went to bed immediately after changing into dry clothes, which were the highest point of the day. tl;dr: it sucked ( @fan-girling-over-everything was there too.)

When did I bring up anything about a conspiracy?

Also what upgrades lol. The only thing of value they’ve actually added was three heroes and a couple maps, something that could’ve and should’ve come out over two years ago when they abandoned the game. Beyond that, they added a lackluster battle pass full of things nobody wants. They locked the new hero over halfway into the BP which will take the average player 2-3 MONTHS to unlock. Oh, and they removed a hero from each team with very little forethought put into how that would fundamentally break most, if not all of the heroes. Not to mention just the social aspect of fucking over any friend groups who used to play as a group of six that now have to exclude one of their friends from playing. We can argue whether 5v5 is better or worse than 6v6, but at the end of the day, they made the change haphazardly and in its current state it hurts more than it helps.

And I’m sorry, the bugs were fixed you say? Is that why Bastion is still removed from the game entirely? Is that why Torb is still broken? Is that why we spent a week with immortal Zaryas in TM? Is that why people were being locked out of playing over half the roster for a week? Is that why people’s old OW1 content wasn’t being carried over to OW2? Is that why thousands of people placed Bronze 5 by default? In 2 days they most certainly did not fix “basically all the bugs” lmao.

I wasn’t even referring to the horrendous launch day, which is all that the DDoS attacks impacted. The game still had people waiting in 100k+ queues 2-3 days after that. Now, I’m not new to this, I expect SOME queue times during a launch window, but there’s a distinct difference between waiting 5-10 minutes to get into the game, and waiting 1-2 hours. The simple fact is that, as do most companies for some unknown reason, they completely underestimated the number of servers they need to spin up when they should’ve overestimated.

If game journos were worth their salt, they’d be treating Overwatch 2 the exact same way, if not worse than how they treated Cyberpunk 2077.

Somehow Blizzard managed to rerelease a video game that was working just fine with virtually no changes, and yet it still somehow came out broken. It genuinely feels like they didn’t even touch Overwatch for 2+ years and then decided at the last second to remove a player from each team and call that a brand new video game. It’s a buggy, nearly unplayable mess at the worst of times, and an unrewarding 6 year old video game at the best of times.

Whether by some sick intent or genuine inadequate forethought, they’ve somehow made the community beg for loot boxes to be added back into the game because at least then it wouldn’t feel like we’re being strung along by a lackluster battlepass that requires us to do daily chores, with the carrot on the end of the stick being the new hero that used to be unlocked by default but is now locked behind several months of chores for the average player.

And with their most recent blog post where they’ve quite literally said: “We hear you, we acknowledge your issues with the game, but actually you’re wrong. We like the game where it’s at. All those ‘bugs’ you see are actually just your fault so get good, losers. See you in Season 2, okay byeeeeee!” We’re not inclined to believe that the development team has matured even slightly since the days of Overwatch 1. They still don’t listen to their players at all, unless it’s one of the 10 people still actually in OWL. They continue to nerf down instead of nerfing up which has made quite a few heroes either unplayable, unfun, or outrageously broken.

They’ve pulled a Todd Howard on us and rereleased the same exact video game they did 6 years ago, only buggier and with somehow less content than before. But gee, at least they didn’t charge us for it.
